The Market is a beacon of tasty seafood in Edmonds - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Edmonds seafood staple generates a scent of fried rockfish that pierces through the air and down the block. Don't ignore the aroma, as the counter is great for a quick, near-water lunch that feels fancy—or as a last-ditch effort to soak up anything you drank at Daphnes and Kelnero." - Aimee Rizzo

Best Crab and Lobster Rolls in the Seattle Area - Eater Seattle

"Many Seattleites aren’t averse to making a trip up to Edmonds specifically to sample the wonderful seafood at this highly acclaimed restaurant and fishmonger. Capitol Hill’s New Barbecue Spot Keeps Selling Out of Meat | Eater Seattle

"Opened by chef Shubert Ho and Hans Korompis, The Market is a casual counter-service spot with fewer than a dozen menu items—fish tacos, fish and chips, a lobster roll, sushi burrito, and shrimp tostadas—plus a fresh fish counter and small grocery, and it’s received highly positive feedback so far." - Megan Hill

Fun spot for lunch with friends! We sat in the outdoor dining area which was very comfy, even in December. Service was fast. I really enjoyed the ahi poke bowl — it had a nice fresh ginger flavor. The hot crab roll was extra buttery. The fried fish in the fish and chips was fresh and hot. Great ambience and seafood!

We have been locals here eating here for just about 5 years. The food, when it is done right, is actually fantastic. It is a bummer that the prices have gone up significantly over the years, especially for a primarily self serve/take out location. Over the years and most especially the last two years eating here, we have had multiple order mistakes such as missing chowder for chowder fries and missing tartar sauce when they charge extra for extra tartar sauce. Pretty disappointing for a place that also requests gratuity when consistency is not confident from our experiences. We are more than happy to give more opportunities, but it is getting harder to order the crab roll and the lobster roll, which i personally love and recommend to all our friends and family. The last time i had a crab roll, there were multiple obvious shell pieces that were very concerning from a safety standpoint. Today i had the lobster roll and there were dangerously large shell pieces including one shell horn that could have done some serious damage to me, and most especially a child. To me this is unacceptable regardless of the cost ($36). I have attached pictures as proof. Again, i understand prices have went up due to a national cost issue - I’m just disappointed that quality control has gone down despite the higher cost premiums. I hope this review from a long time local return customer can serve as an opportunity to get Market back to the quality control and consistency I feel their food deserves.

One of the best lobster roll with broiche. It has fully flavorful with Oceany juice from Lobster and butter. They have outside dining space. Also one more another location. Really lovely lunch !!!!!!

Google
Their menu has changed over the years but I’ve finally was able to stop by to try their seafood rolls. I had to go for it and ordered the Market Roll Trio which came with hot lobster, cold lobster, hot crab, and fries. The cold lobster was my favorite of the three and would come back to eat that again. The fries were meh so definitely going to upgrade to a salad or something else next time. Grand total was $71 after tax and tip so this wasn’t a cheap meal given that it’s a casual takeout place. They had a nice patio with covered and uncovered seating so perfect spot for a summer or early fall meal.

Google
Nice seafood shack with outdoor seating. Simple menu - had the shrimp, crab roll and crab chowder - all very tasty and not likely healthy choices! The deep fried jalapeño slices were excellent. Topped it with a canned Rose from a Washington winery. A must stop!

We came here to try to Market Spice bag....this was our first time here........I had seen it on TikTok and we LOVE curry...we love fried jalapenos..we love spices......so this was a must try for us....it's $15 for the bag and comes with fries(alot) ,sliced fried jalapenos, shrimp(some) and rock fish(some) pieces as well as a Small amount of curry on the side!! UNFORTUNATELY for us ..the Small amount of curry was just that!!! SMALL!!! Literally not enough to eat all this with unless you like it dry AF 😩 the curry is served in I'm assuming is a 2oz container, our little cup was about half full!! So we got maybe 1oz of curry🤷🏾‍♀️...which is NOT enough for the amount of fries, etc in this meal!!! So I asked my husband to see if we can get more since the amount that came with it wasn't enough....$3!! $3 for another 2oz of curry...this time the little cup was actually full 🙄 but for $3!!!!!🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾🙄😩😔 It shoulda been full from the start 😭 So the bag that was supposed to be $15...now turned into $18 because we had to add another curry to make it proper 😔 (not including drink and tip!!) While the food was good, cooked well, seasoned heavy (beware of you can't handle "ALOT"of spices, I'm not saying it's spicy hot, cause it wasn't really spicy to us.....BUT there is a lot of spices...if that makes sense) and the curry was delicious (we're assuming house made?!) but it really bummed us out that we were served such a small amount of curry and paid extra for more 😩 In all we took off 2 stars from our review..... 1...seating honestly sucks, you order outside which sucks too cause no one knows how to form a line up,plus it's on the sidewalk and it makes it very very crammed especially if you are handicapped or have a disability, you kinda gotta wait for everyone to pay attention so you can get through if it's busy... 2....while the food was good, skipping out on the curry, which is such a Main in this meal was a no go...PLUS charging us $3 to get the proper amount was ridiculous in our opinion😔 Over all ...we would like to try them again...they seem to have really nice and delicious options BUT we would hate to get skimmed out again...sooo it's up in the air if we'll ever go back TBH 🤷🏾‍♀️ First impressions do matter 😩

(4.8/5) Brother… lemme tell ya. I convinced my sister to drive me 45 minutes here when visiting her and by the end of the meal she was the one thanking me. This is one of the best, if not the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. So much flavor and tasted perfectly fresh. Fries were cherry on top. It’s a bit pricey but a perfect spot to treat yourself. The service was super friendly and they have around 10 outdoor tables. Had to wait a second to sit but wasn’t an issue at all. Such a solid, solid spot. Only reason I brought it down a measly 0.2 is the oysters were a bit small for the price.

Brian P.

Google
Smaller menu done right. Great food and service. The only downside I can see are Market is the lack of seating at times. It’s outdoor seating only and if it’s a busier time, you’ll have a hard time finding a seat to eat. This is a must stop for me anytime I’m in Edmonds. Fish n chips 🔥 Crab Roll 🔥 Lobster Roll 🔥

Yelp
This is probably the best casual-ish seafood eatery I've tried in the Seattle area. This location is a short walk from the seaside in a cozy town area. You order from a window, and there are some tables, benches, and a bar area nestled on the side for diners. Finding a comfortable spot to sit was a real challenge because there were only a few tables, so we just opted for two bar seats. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready and came in to-go containers. Everything was carefully packed, and the presentation was great! The fish and chips? VERY good. A true battered, flaky fish and fry. The batter was perfectly salted and very crispy. The fish inside was fairly fresh and slightly flaky. The fries were just fries, but they were also fresh! The lobster bun had real lobster claw meat, and the bun was a true buttered and crispy brioche type. It's a real lobster bun! This was very tasty, but make sure you really squeeze on the lemon. I felt it needed a tad more flavor. The fish tacos were messy, but fresh and tasty. Overall, I'm a fan! I just wish they had a bigger seating area.

Yelp
My friend said we should try this place while visiting and I'm so glad we did! The lobster roll was delicious and the chunks were huge - definitely worth it. I like that you can customize the order to switch up the side that comes with it. They can get busy so you can order online instead of waiting. They also have outdoor seating available.

Yelp
Lobster roll, lobster rolls, it's the only reason we ever go here. It's literally the best we have had. So definitely get yourself a lobster roll while here. But honestly all their seafood is delicious. Sitting is outside and they do have portion of it covered, but dress warm in the winter.
google avatar

Katherine Y.

Yelp
This is one of the best lobster rolls on the north side. This isn't a classic sit down place and you will sit outside in the patio area to chow down. Note to gonna sunny day or bundle up. It's hard to decided between the cold and garlic butter hot version. I personally lean to the hot version. A subtle thing this place gets correct is the bread. They use quality bread toast it with butter and the consistency is just right to absorb the natural juice but not soggy half way through. You can order things like lemonade or alcohol spritzers to add to your meal. They don't skimp on the fries.

Yelp
This place is super consistent with their food--everything is always so fresh and tasty! I've tried all variations of their lobster/crab rolls, as well as their oysters and fish/chips. With that said, IMO if you make the trek to Edmonds, it's just mando to try one of their lobster rolls. The fries are 10/10, as well. Now fam, this is lobster/seafood we're talking about soooo expect to pay for what you're eating lol.

Yelp
I originally visited Market back in 2023 before I moved to the area. That was the middle of October and I remember the restaurant being absolutely packed, with no seating available at the outdoor only tables. After we ordered at the walk up window, we ended up having to explore around the area to find a place to sit down and eat! I only just had the chance to have their food again recently - this time via a large catering order at work so there were no issues with seating. Hot Lobster Roll, Half ($26) - Super buttery bread, thick bun plenty of strength to hold everything in. Nothing pops out while eating. Tons of lobster in a creamy mayo sauce. It's kind of piled on rather than mixed in thoroughly. It seems most of it is on the top so it doesn't overload the lobster. The mayo is kind of vinegar-like tangy. The menu states lemon aoili, but I think it tastes closer to tarter sauce-like vinegar. There are two tangy and crunchy pickles on top that are super vinegar soaked and approaching soggy. Finally, lots of chives are sprinkled on top for an herbal pop. Ahi Tuna Crispy Rice Cake ($14) - An order comes with four pieces. This dish includes a crunchy rice cake on the bottom, fried, tasting very similar to a Vietnamese rice cracker, full of umami and kind of fishy. It's topped with fresh tuna that's tossed in a bit of sweet ginger mayo mixed with maybe some siracha giving a slight spicy kick. Some tobiko on top gives a salty and briny punch. Clam Chowder ($12) - This chowder is really thick, kind of lumpy and floury like they use a lot of roux. The taste is only a bit clammy but not nearly as much as other clam chowders. It's very salty and inclues a good amount of clam. The taste includes very aromatic herbs, maybe rosemary-ish and quite savory. It's definitely a different kind of clam chowder than I'm used to in terms of flavor. I can't say I eat lobster rolls all that often, but Market certainly serves a good one (at least to my inexperienced taste buds!)

Yelp
I've been trying to go here for so long! They get so busy, or I miss the hours, or it's just too cold to wait, but things finally lined up, and how fitting such a delicious stop was my first meal out after getting married! We split a lobster roll right at opening and it was the perfect meal to start with. Generous portions come with a pile of the crispiest fries and the heated seating area was a nice bonus.

Yelp
I have to visit this place every time I'm in Seattle! My favorite item is the Salt and Pepper Shrimp It is flavorful without being too salty and comes with a honey chili aioli sauce. Their Lobster Roll is garlicky, buttery, and has a generous amount of lobster. My friend really enjoys the Fish and Chips! It is very crispy, served in a good size, and comes with delicious tartar sauce that pairs perfectly! The staff are very friendly and always happy to give food recommendations. Seating is a bit limited since there aren't many tables, but I've always been able to find a spot, so it's not too bad. Parking is only on the street, and it can sometimes be tricky to find a good spot. Can't wait to visit again! :))

Yelp
Fun little area to stroll around and grab a nice bite to eat. I was here visiting family and they suggested this spot. We grabbed a table along the street, which was perfect for some people watching. Families and friends were strolling the streets with ice cream in hand, just enjoying the gorgeous weather. Many of us ordered the hot lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. Both were delicious. I could have eaten another lobster roll but at $36 a pop, I'll just have to settle for this special treat. This is one of the spots you order via your app or you go up to a window to order and they call your name when it is ready, so the service is minimal. Having said that, the service at the window was friendly and quick. I really enjoyed this spot. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Sooo good! Came here multiple times and everything is so delicious Musts: - cold lobster roll (I like it better then their hot one). Upgrade to garlic parm fries - rockfish tacos (soooo good) Their seating area is small but turnover is relatively fast. It's nicely heated so you won't be too cold during the typical Seattle season My favorite place in downtown Edmonds

Yelp
Wow. This place left me speechless for real! Hands down the BEST fish tacos I've ever had in my life! Their well seasoned and moist rockfish is dipped in a thin layer of batter, then fried (making the perfect crispy rockfish filet). It's topped with mango salsa which gives the meal a refreshing note. I enjoyed every bite of it, and each order comes with two pieces. I also tried their clam chowder which comes with oyster crackers! You can choose whether to have your chowder to be served in a bread bowl or in a regular plastic bowl. The soup had a lot of authentic seafood flavor and the bread bowl was warmly toasted. Loved it! It took about 8 minutes for the food to be ready (which is super quick!). You order at the cashier, and pick up your order at a nearby window. They only have outdoor seating available and the tables are first come first serve. It can get busy on the weekends so I highly recommend going early! It's a five minute walk from the beach, which makes it a great spot for hangouts with friends. Street parking is widely available nearby. I'm definitely going to return the next time I'm back in Washington!

Yelp
Always a wonderful time with each of the vendors coming week after week and their dedication to our community it's awesome. I truly enjoy the samples, meeting people and the outdoor atmosphere and service and smiles from each vendor is so special. This is truly a 5/5 experience each and every time I go, it never gets old. The food tasting and great samples are also very nice to help decide on the purchase. Thanks for taking time out each weekend to service our community and thrive your business!

Yelp
So I've been a customer and fan of this place since it opened. And much respect to the man who was the original chef back in 2014, Mr Hans Korompis. May he forever rest in peace. He is always in my thoughts when I think about or visit this place. Now. I visited the Market back in June or July so my review is a little bit late but it's here nonetheless. I had been craving some quality seafood and knew just where to go to get my fix. As per usual I parked about a block to away since I'm not a good parallel Parker and have an innate fear of being put a candid camera show and projected to the world of how bad and un-masculine my ability to do so is. I know it's irrational but it's mine gashdammit lol. Anyways I walked up and as always it's packed and there's a line of people's waiting. Waiting for their food and or a table. Just to show how long I've been a fan of this place I remember when you could go inside and order and you couldn't sit inside and peruse some of the shelves for their tinned fish and frozen fares. It says they opened in June but I've been going since 2014 so maybe it's a butterfly effect scenario but anywho back to the day. So I hopped up and ordered a half dozen oysters. Crispy rice with tuna. The salt and pepper shrimp and their classic fish and chips. Plus I got a can of coke and at the time their guava lemonade. The wait was a bit considering the usual packed out house but I know what I'm getting so it's part and parcel to the experience. Once I hit my food I headed to my car and parked at the little beach park just at the end of the marina where the dog park is. I set up my spot got to business. The first order was the oysters. I've never gotten oysters to go but I had some expectations of how they'd be prepared. On ice in a to go box and the lemon and vinaigrette on the side. They even had a little packet of Tabasco along with. Again with the old timer shtick but I remember when they had the little miniature bottle they'd let you have. The kind you could use with your actions figures lol. Anyway I dolled them up and swallowed them whole. Very fresh. A good chew when I decided to bite and a good briny finish. I could have had 3-4 dozen but my wallet said otherwise. Next were the crispy rice and tuna. Now I've been eating wanting to try this one for a long while. I mean at least a few years. I'm a cook and I could have easily made this but sometimes I just want it before I attempt to make it. So I had it. I have to say that it was somewhat underwhelming. I mean the quality was there. But something about the rice crispy cake thing didn't give what I was hoping for. Now I know that they made the rice in house I believe. I don't think they would have used a pre-made substitute and fried it. Hopefully. But it just didn't taste like I would have thought. It felt almost manufactured. But I could be wrong. It has way more chew and the texture was not where I feel it could have been. I still enjoyed it though simply because I finally got to try it but yeah.... So the third dish was the salt and pepper fried shrimp. This was just okay as well. Again, the quality was there. Excellent flavour. Good crisp. Good bite. Very good mouth feel. The seasoning was subtle and the sauce added a timid yet decent tang. But it wasn't anything special. Now my final dish was their classic. Deep fried rockfish and fries aka chips with the mushy peas and tartar sauce. Lemon for spritzing with. It was delicious. I'm mean you can't go wrong with a staple that's been there since the beginning. But just to revisit the past I remember when they let you select your cut of fish from halibut, sole, cod or catch of the day, etc. It was just a different experience. Anyways it was nostalgia. The guava lemonade was good but I'd opt for a sparkling water next time. And to this day the best dish they ever had was and still is the shrimp and lemongrass grits. By far nothing has compared to this dish but they haven't had it since the unfortunate passing of the beloved Chef Korompis which is very understandable. I highly recommend you try this place. I have high respect for the current kitchen staff and utmost love for what they do.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably the best lobster rolls in the Seattle area. Bread is toasted perfectly, lobster meat is tender, juicy and extremely fresh. Their fries are also good. However, I'm not too impressed with their other dishes, not worth the price.
google avatar

Christy K.

Yelp
This place is LEGIT. We've had our fair share of lobster rolls (including many on the East Coast) and fish & chips, and these were the best. They know what they're doing--WOW!! What We Had: MARKET Roll Trio - A mix of cold and warm lobster rolls plus a PNW crab roll. From the perfectly toasted brioche bun to the subtly flavorful sauce that enhanced (not overpowered) the abundant, high-quality seafood, every bite was incredible. Fish & Chips - I have never been impressed by fish & chips until now! The thin, crispy batter was light and crunchy, letting the juicy, fresh rockfish filet shine. Absolute perfection. These might seem like simple dishes, but they are rarely done this well--and I can honestly say these were the best I've ever had. If you're a seafood lover, this spot is a must! We ordered from the window and food came out quick. It was Mai my self-service. One small note: We sat outside, and while the setup was nice, they could improve the heating and rain coverage to make the space more comfortable year-round.
google avatar

Corey E.

Yelp
The food is great! ... but a bit pricy, especially the chowder. But it tastes good nonetheless the less. Outside seating only, covered area with heaters. Dress accordingly. Would recommend.
google avatar

Yuri Y.

Yelp
I was really impressed by this lobster roll, I really liked the trio because I was able to sample all three of the flavor options and I could really tell that each roll had its own distinct flavors. Trio ($56) Half roll each of the Maine, Connecticut, and PNW crab - PNW had the shredded crab meat, and this was definitely my favorite because it was so buttery and fresh. - maine lobster had the most spice of the three, but not spicy at all. It had an aïoli so it was the most creamy and lemony of the three. - connecticut was the only cold lobster, and it was personally my least favorite of the three because it was more chewy- could be described as rubbery? Clam chowder was typical, nothing special. One thing to note is that there is no indoor seating so you have to sit in the designated outdoor seating area, but there are heaters so it was not bad at all, and I like that the edmonds area near here has lots of small businesses where you can stroll around.

Yelp
Incredible! So great, and unsuspecting haha. Cute little spot in downtown Edmonds, with lovely employees and great food. From initial appearances, might seem run-of-the-mill seafood spot, but it's so great. The food is elevated and elegant with intelligent flavors and textures, while still staying familiar and comforting. Poke Crispy Rice is so so so good. The outdoor seating area is protected, intimate, heated, and so cute. The bar seating and tables provide options for different party sizes, and the water station is right up with the space heaters (so you can feel nicely cooked on your water break haha).

Yelp
Tasty spot for fish tacos, fish and chips, and lobster rolls. Haven't tried the other items yet but maybe next visit. Located next to Starbucks in downtown Edmonds, Market isn't hard to find and is a solid choice for a decent meal. The fish tacos are generously filled with a hefty piece of rock fish and the toppings. A little messy to eat but that's par for the course for a good fish taco. Same with the fish and chips and lobster rolls. Note: Their tartar sauce is mustard forward. I like a more traditional tartar sauce so this wasn't my fave pairing with the fish. The fish and chips were good on their own though so no biggie there. Service is standard and food comes out quick. There's no seating indoors but they have a nice outdoor patio that's covered.

Yelp
It's Friday and I am hungry for clam chowder. Looked over best clam chowder deals. Found Mar.ket was offering a restaurant week special, with both clam Chowder and fish and chips. Plus, a cream filled donut. So came here to get the deal. A rainy Edmonds day. Seating here was good, a mixture of heated bar style seating and covered and uncovered tables. It was lightly raining, so sat at one of the unheated but covered tables. Ordering was done at the window. This is an order at counter and no follow up after you receive your food. Not bad, but expensive for 45.00 order. I sat for about 20 minutes before receiving my food. It was packaged to go. I expected food for here, like on a tray, Still, everything seemed fresh and hot. The clam chowder was hot and full of both clams and potatoes. Nice broth, but a thick chowder style. The fish and chips came with a large portion of fish. Surprised at how large the fish portion was. It came with homemade tasting tartare sauce. Very nice rendition of tartare sauce, made a difference in the taste. Plus, mushy peas. My first time with mushy peas. Not a fan at first bite, but it did grow on me the more I tried them. Fish was perfectly battered and came in a large portion. I did get the pino grigio in the can for 14.00. Think I would pass, not a wine I would recommend. i really don't like French fries. Usually avoid getting these. But their version was acceptable to this French fry hater. Thicker, with skin on, made me rarely enjoy eating their version. The dessert was a cream filled donut. Cream on donut was good. Again, not a donut fan. But this was passable. Needed a orange flavor as advertised, or so else to make this doughnut memorable . Overall, very simple counter service. But nice quality of food. More of a fast food experience, with good food. Still, too expensive for what you get. If you like highbrow fish and chips, with fast food level service, this place is great. I wanted better bread than packaged crackers with my chowder. I wanted less packaging with my order. The doughnut with cream was only one note of flavor. I hated when ordering,, that they proved minimal service, by closing the window and appearing unfriendly to interactions. My fried fish was undercooked. Usually something I love. But lack of any crispy batter coating on fish made it hard to enjoy. Overall, they need to match the price of food one pays, to the quality of food expectations.

Yelp
Second time I went the food was better! Not my favorite fries, especially when you are taking it to go. But worth giving it a try!

Yelp
Hubby requested a lobster roll from the Market in Edmonds for his bday so I picked him up the trio along with a clam chowder. Everything was tasty except the fries which were okay. Lobster was more flavorful than the crab and I liked the sauce on the cold lobster roll, it complimented the meat without overpowering it.

Yelp
I'm a huge seafood lover and this is one of my new favorite spots for sure! I went there around noon on a Saturday in the summer and only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table to open up. The nice thing is that all the food is easy to take to go and there are a lot of fun places to eat around Edmonds. I got the shrimp tacos and they were to die for! I get shrimp tacos a lot and these were some of the best I have ever had. So flavorful and fresh with an amazing sauce and mango salsa. My friend got a lobster roll and I stole a bite- amazing as well. The food isn't cheap but I think it's worth every penny. I'm gluten free and feel like there are good options here. The food comes out quickly and is absolutely amazing. This is a MUST for anyone who loves seafood within an hour radius. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Everything here was delicious and I want to try more! The chowder, poke nachos, and lobster roll were all spectacular. I asked if they had a tomato based soup I saw online but they said it's seasonal which makes sense and like that they rotate the menu. You order at the window and there's outside seating to enjoy or it comes boxed up and you can take it to go. Worth checking out again and again.

Yelp
The rock fish tacos are the best in the Seattle area no doubt. Battered fresh rock fish fried with double layered corn tortillas mango salsa, special creama taste like San Felipe Mexico taco stand SO GOOD! Nice service and made fresh. The place has no inside seating but has Outside covered seating with patio heaters and condiments bar and water bar. If you're in Edmonds you've got to try the tacos

Yelp
BIRTHDAY DISAPPOINTMENT!!! My family brought me here to celebrate my birthday because I have been craving crab and we remembered eating here a few years ago and it was amazing. We took the long drive and splurged on 2 crab rolls for $75 only to be disappointed. The bread was not toasted well so it was soft and did not hold the crab well. The fries were not as good ad they used to be and over salted. The biggest disappointment outside of the bread was the crab. The crab was not flavorful. You could barely taste it in the bread. The texture was off. It used to be full of crab with chucks of crab meat inside but this seems like chopped up claw meat with very little body meat based on texture. I am not sure if the crab is dungeness crab meat or if it is dungeness mixed with another type of crab but it is definitely not the same and it cost more (just like everything else) then it did in the past. Honestly we would not have minded the price if it was as good as it was in the past when we came to eat here several times before. It was not worth the almost hour long drive. We had to park kinda of far away but it is was a nice walk. There isn't a lot of outside seating but we managed to grab a table after a short wait. The line to order can get long and take some time to order and to get your food. They call your name and bring your order to you. Not sure we will be back but the lobster roll did look like there was lumps of lobster in it. It seemed like every person around us order the lobster rolls so maybe that is the way to go. I usually prefer crab to lobster but that doesn't seem to be what to order. I highly recommend sitting outside on a nice sunny day; especially if you enjoy people watching.

Yelp
Was excited to try this casual gem as we LOVE their other restaurants. This casual walk up was busy on a sunny Saturday. We managed to find a sit down spot to enjoy and the wait for food was minimal. This is the tricky part so be prepared to be creative, flexible or take to go. Poke nachos- just as expected from their sister restaurant, Bar Dojo. Best poke nachos!! Light won ton crisps, ample poke, flavorful dressing and the pickled onion is a good touch. Prior to finding these, my fav was in Kona, Hawaii. Not anymore and a heck of a lot closer! Trio seafood rolls- 1 Connecticut lobster roll, 1 Dungeness crab roll, 1 New England lobster roll. I'm glad we tried these so I could pick my fav. It's a rich order and good to share, but messy. I wasn't blown away but I enjoyed every bite. I always feel there's something missing on a lobster roll ... like a sauce or stronger flavor. It's me, not them. My fav was the New England lobster roll and hubs favored the crab. Super fun to taste and share, and we will be back. Fries! Medium cut and tasty! Generous portion. Bev choices were fun to entertain! Had to get a cold Bohdizafa IPA, .

Yelp
I dined here during the weekend around 2PM on a rainy day. Parking was pretty easy with plenty of street spots available and free. I ordered at the window outside, and the cashier was friendly and patient with my dog and I, which it was our first time here. She even gave my dog a treat! I had the half Hot PNW crab roll with fries and clam chowder soup. They brought out my order quickly, in less than 10 minutes. I really liked their soup, perfect for a rainy day! Seating options are somewhat limited. Even on a rainy day, the seatings were pretty full, but I got lucky as someone was just leaving. Their outdoor seatings are cozy with the heat. My dog and I had a great experience, and it's a nice place to stop by for lunch. The next time we dine in, I will try a weekday lunch time!

Yelp
This place is no joke. We came up from Seattle (to what is clearly a very legitimate seafood operation on the basis of appearance alone..) and were not disappointed. The CONNECTICUT LOBSTER ROLLS were absolutely delicious. Hot lobster. Good portions of meat. Fully in tact claws. Delicious but not overbearing sauce. Fantastic buttered bread that's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. What more can I ask for in a lobster roll? Service was also very friendly and the seating was "so cute" as a certain demographic likes to say. Overall, we had a great time and recommend to anyone, but be forewarned it's a bit pricy (let me be the first to tell you lobster ain't no joke).

Yelp
Visited this place during summer and was so happy they had outdoor seating! Many people said their lobster roll is amazing, so of course I had to try it. And wow--it really lived up to the hype! The bun was fragrant and toasty, the lobster meat was generous and satisfying. The price was a bit on the higher side, but honestly, if I'm in the area again, I might just stop by for that lobster roll alone.

Yelp
Delicious! We tried the lobster roll and the fish & chips. Both were good. Not a cheap meal though. The seating is all outside & first come, first serve. But we were able to snag a seat by the time our food was brought out. Might be harder for bigger groups, who need a table.

Yelp
Unusual setup with an outside order window and only very casual outside patio seating. That said, it was warm enough with their heaters, and our lunch was fantastic! I had the ahi poke bowl. I'm already scheming when I can fit it into my schedule to have it again. Yes, it was that good. A bit upscale, the complex flavors and stellar ingredients make it special. My friend had a half warm lobster roll with fries. Reported as delicious. She really appreciated the light brioche roll, that did not overpower the lobster. I saw a fried fish sandwich go by and immediately wanted that. If you are good with casual you must come here!

Yelp
Came for the first time in a while and it is just as yummy as I remember! It is a little spendy but felt it was worth the cost! They have warm/heated outdoor seating and restroom for customers inside.

Yelp
I have been at this spot several times and the poke bowl was so good and the servers were so sweet! But unfortunately today will probably be my last. The tuna was so bad. I was left speechless and when I brought it up to the server, she said that there is nothing she can do. And that they changed the tuna that they previously used. I can probably get better tuna at a grocery store! That's how bad it was. If you are looking for good quality tuna, Do Not Go There!

Yelp
I have eaten at The Market several times in Edmonds and it's so delicious every time. On this occasion I went on busy Friday evening with sunny weather. Typically, I would go for the crab in the bag but I was craving fries so I started with the clam chowder fries, which was great. For my main course, I opted for the chicken sandwich, which was crispy and juicy. The special of the day, sushi rice cakes, was a pleasant surprise. Topped with tuna and it had a little kick to it. It was only $12. One thing to note is that Market offers outdoor seating (no dine in) on a first come, first serve basis. It's a great option especially if you have a pet.

Yelp
Had a fantastic crab roll at Market Edmonds. You order at the window and they bring your food out to you. We also got the fish and chips and they were almost better than the buttery delicious crab roll. Fries were tasty as well. The employees were very nice and the outdoor seating was cute. Would definitely go again when craving a good crab or lobster roll.

Yelp
Market is my go to place if I want to take someone from out of town to eat something really fresh, but it is very spendy, and I'm not sure it's that much better than Ivar's restaurants or Arnie's (these two just feels very old an stuffy). Market does add a cute small town local charm to the downtown Edmonds area, which I welcome.

Yelp
We loved Market! I forgot to take a picture of the lobster roll I got, I think it's because I couldn't wait to dive in and start eating it. The food was fabulous, I loved every bit of it! I'm a lobster roll snob, and their lobster roll was great. Obviously we had to get a crab roll as well, which was delicious! The seating is outside, but they have heaters which is nice and made it comfortable. The service was quick and efficient. Would totally come back here next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Everything on the menu slaps. Traditional fish n chips with mushy peas, the bread bowl chowder, a lobster roll if you feel like splurging. Never had a bad experience.

Yelp
The maple bar was the perfect amount of sweetness and the ginger molasses cookie was 12/10!

Yelp
A really good classic lobster roll, it was very fresh and flavored very well. Although, a little expensive compared to other places near the Seattle area. Service was quick at the kiosk and our food is ready in about 10 minutes. It is located in downtown Edmonds so there are boutiques and breweries nearby to check out. They have outdoor seating available and heaters for a cool, wet day!

Yelp
If you're a seafood enthusiast, The MARKET Edmonds is an absolute must-visit. Nestled in the heart of downtown Edmonds, this charming fishmonger and eatery offers a delightful blend of fresh seafood, casual dining, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
We picked up a lobster roll for the 4th of July parade and while it was very good, it was very small for the price and the service was very rude.

Yelp
While in the area for training; I made the little drive to Edmonds; what a beautiful place!! If you're looking for fresh seafood, this is definitely the place to visit. The staff was friendly, the environment was nice and the food was AMAZING!! I started off with some clam chowder, then cold lobster roll and 2 amazing shrimp tacos, with a bottle of lemonade. I sat with one of the locals and talked about places to visit; I was told to go up the hill to get some fresh ice cream (see my other review). Market did not disappoint!

Yelp
Good fish and chips spot ... it's find a seat if you can style but food comes quick and people eat fast so spots come fast. Dog friendly but a tight squeeze. The fish and chips comes with a cold pea possibly mint? salad... it was good. Fish was a little oily but was happy still with the batter consistency ... the fries were crisp but soft still, the flavors overall were great.

Yelp
Recently tried the trio - comes with all of the half rolls, crab in a bag, and chowder. All delicious. Service is always great and they have everything in a "self serve" setting outside.

Yelp
This is the best lobster roll I've ever had! The warm brioche roll was STUFFED with buttery lobster. Also tried the watermelon salad, which was good but wished it had more watermelon. There's only outdoor seating. You walk up to the window to order, and a server will bring your food to you.

Yelp
I get the hot lobster roll with avocado and luscious crab bisque here and it is TO DIE FOR!!! You get a very, very generous portion of soft, moist lobster. Much better than I've had in nice restaurants. The roll is delicious, as is everything! Order online to avoid getting in line at the window. Nice outdoor eating areas
