Found this gem while driving on route 4 to Prince Frederick, Maryland. Stopped and ordered takeout. It was ready super fast. By far the best breakfast sandwich sandwiches both me and my husband have had in ages! He had the half smoke American and cheese on their fresh rye bread. I had ham egg and American cheese on the croissant. Highly recommended

We went for breakfast, and the food was so fresh, and tasted great! They need more servers so it was a bit slow, but the food was so good it didn't matter.

Beautiful family experience at our local Mom and Pop restaurant. Food was amazing as usual and service was good as well. My only issues was the flies, they don't have anything to combat them. If they had a door fly machine that helps them from flying in when people are coming and going that would be awesome. You can't really enjoy your food when you are constantly showing flies away.

They have the best pancakes ever!!!! They are so big fluffy and not to thick and always fresh and warm definitely recommend giving the pancake platter a try

Called ahead for a party of 7 at lunch, they had a table ready for us in short order. So many delicious homemade options- best egg salad I’ve ever tasted, the chicken salad was very nice, perfectly cooked crinkle fries, and excellent sweet ice tea! Great service, friendly staff- highly recommend!

Food, service and atmosphere were quite appealing. I will return soon, and recommend it to friends and family. This quiet kept family owned diner in the Upper Marlboro community serves as a great alternative to the more popular, busy, long-wait-to-be-seated, options in neighboring towns.

This place deserves 5 stars simply for being the only place near the courthouse that is actually open when people need it. Not only that, but you will get your food quickly, and it is fairly priced and well portioned. It is also an extremely cozy place to sit for a bit to read, talk, or just wait out traffic. The people that work here are polite and efficient.

The food is ok better than most places in the area for a diner type meal. They are extremely busy so I am not really trying not to give them a pass on lack of service for take out orders. Nonetheless, every time it’s exactly the same busy or not, weekend or not. I pray that the people who dine in is given more courtesy. The food is ok. I do come home and toss my home fries again. They’re the best in the area for me. Truthfully that’s the only reason I come.

Back to the future at this retro small town diner/delicatessen. Quaint diner serving diner fare. I had an excellent sausage egg and cheese sandwich that was delicious. Coffee was very good. Service was excellent. I haven't figured out the parking yet. There are some metered spots out front. I will be back to try lunch

Came by for lunch for the first time after being in the area. Ordered the turkey burger, which came with fries and was decent. I was able to sit anywhere and my food came quickly after the order was placed. The service was ok. However, the tables could have been wiped down more thoroughly. There was salt covering my entire table from a leaky shaker. I also had a sweet tea, which was good. The prices seemed a little high for the quality.

This is a go to spot if you live in upper Marlboro. It's not a huge place nor does it have the best decorum but it's just right. My family and I dine here quite frequently. The food is pretty good. We love the pancakes and omelettes for breakfast. The shrimp and chicken teriyaki are quite filling a delicious. The service is always good and if you come often, they know your order before you even order. Check it out!

I try to make it a point to have lunch here whenever I am working in the office. This nice diner is in walking distance to my job. The first time I had a Italian club. It was good. I wish the sub was a little thicker, because after all of the sauce, and fixings the bread was a little soggy. It was filling and tasty. I'll just get a different type of bread with that next time. The second time I went, I ordered a turkey club sandwich on white bread. I ordered a side of fries. The turkey club sandwich was better than the Italian club to me. It was good. It had a nice proportion of turkey. The fries were seasoned well. I just think I'm gonna try something different every time I come. I'm never a disappointed.

Food was PHENOMENAL! I ordered the turkey club with provolone cheese & the fruit burst smoothie. I love me a good club sandwich & this was beyond my expectations. The sandwich was stuffed with turkey meat. The bread was toasted to perfection & the lettuce + tomato's were fresh. The lady who took my order was very polite & very attentive to the customers on the phone as well in the restaurant. The food didn't take long at all being as though they have a lot of orders being located near the courthouse. The restaurant was neat, clean, & quiet. I would eat here everyday if I had the time. I definitely will be coming back & I definitely recommend this spot!

So breakfast food really isn't hard to make. But some places just don't have fresh enough ingredients. This is not that place. ALL ingredients from the eggs (which I'm very particular) to the toast and meat were ultra fresh. Great customer service! Our waitress was a doll. It reminded you of a old diner but it was quite comfy and had a homey feel. I enjoyed my international omelette and meat lover was extra packed with meat! Pancake had crispy edges and everything Italian sausage was offered as a side and didn't disappoint. Total was under 40 dollars and well worth it

I have eaten here before. For the first time in 2016, I was not too fond of the food, but then recently, in 2023, I had some scrapple egg and cheese, which was delicious. So I decided to go with the family on an off day and tried something different, and I should have stuck with what I usually get. But my pancakes were terrific. Overall, I like the atmosphere and the country feel of the establishment.

Nothing fancy, just playing good food. this is a local spot that many go to for carry out as well as dine in. it's also frequented by the police and fire departments. Good food, good prices.

A decent carry out for breakfast. I recommend the egg sandwich with bacon. They give you a lot of egg and bacon for your sandwich. They also serve smoothies.

As a Upper Marlboro resident, I'm glad this place has made it through the pandemic storm. Always good quality food and fast! Perhaps they could have some expanded hours! Best area breakfast sandwiches

Quaint little place with home cooked, absolutely delicious food. I'd eat the home fries every single day if I could. The service is wonderful. This place feels like I'm visiting someone in the family. They have been cooperating with guidelines for the pandemic smoothly as well. 10/10 will always recommend!

First time visiting and a great experience! Excellent service and breakfast food. The veggie omelette was delicious and my husband had the blueberry pancakes. A very busy place with carry out and eat in customers. The only drawback was parking and the ridiculous meter parking cost on a Saturday. Not helping small business present or future partners in bringing in more customers. Upper Marlboro, as the historic town seat of Prince George's county, needs some serious attention for a better future.

I got French toast and potatoes to go. My French roast tasted like bacon and cinnamon. They cook it with the bacon and that's not good, especially for a person who's a pescatarian. There was no flavor to the French toast other than overpowering cinnamon. I won't be returning. However, the front staff were friendly and attentive.

When the word "Grille" is in your name and a customer orders "Grilled Salmon Salad" - seems like you should actually GRILL the salmon! Instead is was an ok piece of salmon FRIED in god knows what kind of old oil. You have to work pretty hard to make salmon greasy. Hint to restaurant, when someone orders a salad with salmon, they're probably kind of health conscious. Don't serve them greasy fried salmon. That's not to mention it was a pile of bland iceberg lettuce with literally 5 spinach leaves on top, some tasteless tomatoes, cucumbers, tiny shredded carrots and itty bitty bits of cheese. And, if that's not enough, they had the nerve to charge me $19 for it. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

This is my fave go to spot for breakfast in my neighborhood. It's been around for years. I literally get the same items each time. The International omelette or pancakes. The pancakes are ahhhmazing and huge. I only need 1 to fill me up. Check this place out if you're in Old Upper Marlboro. You won't be sorry!

Quiet early morning breakfast spot with amazing service and great food. Definitely a hidden treasure.

I love this place! This was my first time here, and when we came in we were greater with a welcome and smiles. They have reasonable prices and the food is soooo good. I will be back more often now that I just moved to Maryland. The waiter( griselda) had great customer service and she was kind and she always checked on us to see if everything is ok. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day and a good breakfast can energize your day. However, not the case at this place. One of the worst breakfast meals I have had in a long time! There was no wait time however it was pretty cramped in here. The coffee was weak and they had no lemons at all for my water or my daughter's hot tea. I ordered French Toast and grits, my daughter ordered corn beef gravy over biscuit and my granddaughter had pancakes. When a little child doesn't like your pancakes, you really must be a bad chef. The French Toast tasted like eggs, my grits tasted burned and my granddaughter's pancakes were dry with no flavor. My daughter couldn't even eat her meal because she said it was tasteless. I truly felt like I went into a restaurant and just gave them $34 for nothing. The only reason we decided to try this place was because it was the closest to the house I was visiting and my daughter had to go to work so we needed someplace quick to eat. Never again. I'll just drive a little further next time.

This was our second time here and breakfast was great! We haven't tried anything else yet but service was just as great as the first time and we didn't have to wait long for seating. The French Toast was great and it was stacked up. The Belgian waffle was so good! I've had some that are "meh" and this one was gooooood. They had it cut up and not in a full waffle and I was happy with that. It was still warm, which I love! The home fries were very good! They have onions in them and you can definitely tell they are home made. It's probably one of my favorite home fries in the area! The food came out QUICK! I'm pretty sure it came out in 10 minutes. The only inconvenience I see is the parking on Main Street but there's a parking lot around the corner. It was free since it was on a Saturday morning.

Breakfast was so so gooood. 3 nice, thick slices of French Toast, topped with a dash of powdered sugar. Firm and fluffy. The bacon was slightly sweet, nice crisp. The cheese grits were the best. Cheese through every bite too. The cheese eggs were a little too loose. Still really tasty, all of it.

Food is delicious, but they have roaches. The owner claims the owner was exterminating in the above apartments which is caused the roaches to move down to the restaurant. Not good at all.

I have been coming here for years and the food and service has always been amazing. They have a lot of great options to choose from and they serve breakfast all day. I usually get their omelets and home fries which always tastes fresh. I would definitely recommend the Marlboro Grille if you want great service and food!

My family and I have enjoyed their breakfast for quite some months. However, after Halloween timeframe, my family and I went there for breakfast and my brother in-law found a roach at the bottom of his drink. Although all expenses were covered by the restaurant and the staff was pleasant and in disbelief, we will not return .

Food was ok. Sausage and scrapple were good. French toast wasn't all that. The 'Main' problem us them high @ss prices. They need to cut that out for real. Makes you just wanna stay your @ss home n cook your own shyt.

OMG!!! This spot is amazing!!! This is my second weekend coming in for their breakfast! I had the Belgian waffles, eggs Scrambled with cheese, a sausage and a nice helping of their home fries. This was absolutely a gem to feast in with the atmosphere! The staff is amazing, funny, and bend over backwards to to ensure superb service. Please check them out. You are guaranteed to have an outstanding meal.

Tasty small town diner and friendly staff. The more you go, the more it feels like "Cheers". Food taste home made & currently have tables spaced apart for social distancing.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. They were quite busy but even so, my order can in under 5 minutes. I had a simple turkey club but it was very good. No complaints. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Doubt I'll be in this area again, but if I were I'd stop in.

So been hearing I should try out Marlboro Grille... Finally tried them for breakfast.... Ordered the waffles crispy.... Order comes out and the waffles look perfect.... get home warm them up in the oven for a little more crispness.... Time to chow, or so I thought... They were disgusting!!! There was some kind of crème in the middle and they tasted like they were glazed with something.... they promptly went in the trash... HOW DO YOU MESS UP WAFFLES?????

The food was home cooked and amazing! The cheese steak was the best I've ever had! My sister had the pancakes and home fries and they were delicious without being salty!

Not a lot of restaurants in the DMV region that will give you that warm, cozy, and family-like atmosphere, but this place is definitely one of them! I really enjoy dining here and being treated with such comfort and hospitality for breakfast. Oh, and kudos to the chef that make their fried potatoes amazing every time, and the servers who are always smiling. It's an experience every time. Food and hospitality. Amazing.

I've driven by here a million times and wanted to stop in for breakfast. It's exactly what I was looking for! No wait, quick and friendly service, and the food was tasty. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just some bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Everything came out perfectly. Thank you for keeping it simple

I've only been once, but I loved it. It's a small "mom and popish diner" type place. The food was great (I had the turkey sausage patties with a veggie omelette). My family enjoyed their meal also. The service was good - friendly and quick. The parking is not plentiful because of the area. We will be back!

I was in town for an event & decided to check this place out for lunch based on other Yelp reviews - I am so glad we did! The place filled up quickly, as my family wasn't the only one with this idea. The large crowd had no bearing on the personable, efficient & speedy service. Food came out quickly, as ordered and all dishes were highly enjoyed by all. Typical American diner fare at reasonable prices and large portions. I can't wait to go back!

I love going there. The price for what I eat is pricey for an a-la-carte. It's close to my house and I rather give my money to a local business than the Amish Market.

Went to Ms. K's but the line was long so tried another local spot ... The service was very slow!, to the point I could watch car drive by as entertainment while waiting. The atmosphere is typical for a local dive eatery, so nothing too much to say about that ... let's talk food: the coffee is basic, make sure you use sugar or creamer to make it taste better. The omelet was very good, fluffy and full of filling. The home fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside - just add ketchup and your good. Overall I was surprised, after the slow service I was expecting the food to match the coffee ... but to my surprise the food was above par. Worthy of a return visit.

help!!! the food is really realy good here. however all of the telephone numbers are disconnected so you cannot call in your order for pick up. they don't have an online order portal that i could locate either!!! what a travesty. it's mother's day 2020 and we really wanted something different than mcdonalds or dunkin donuts!

Great place for lunch located in the upper Marlboro! It closes at 3pm. I like to grab a fish sandwich and fries.

OMG!! There's soooo much to say in this review! 1. The prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY high! 2. They charge $.79 for cheese!! SMH 3. Fries are $3.19 and do NOT come with MOST subs or sandwiches 4. I LITERALLY watched a young man eat at a table and then begin wrapping utensils WITHOUT getting up to wash his hands!!! That was it for me!! I told the waitress and she looked at me like, "and?" Lastly, my son and I had the following: Sprite Coffee Grilled chicken sub w/fries Breakfast sandwich w/homes And the total came to $27.50!!! WTH???? I will NEVER go to this place EVER again!! The ONLY good thing I can say about this place is...The food was delivered fast! Make sure to request a HOT cup of water with EVERY meal to rinse your utensils because having someone HAND WRAP them WITHOUT washing their hands is just PLAIN NASTY!!!

Very food food. I had the western omelet and it was moist and full of flavor. The server was attentive and the food prepared quickly.

Very friendly staff. Food is good. I had the breakfast BLT it was different but very good and filling. I love the prices and the quantity of food you receive.

I like Marlboro Grille and have ate their a few times, mostly for breakfast. But the food and service doesn't make a 4 or 5 star place. I have found the food to be good and the service okay. When you walk in you'll feel like your in an old restaurant. Seats, chairs, paint, nothing special just shop as usual. The menu is very light, but the food is good. Nothing special. I just don't find that, other than a close location, the place is worthy raving about. But if your close by and you want a decent breakfast or sandwich for lunch at a reasonable price check this place out. They're friendly and i have not complaints.
