"Marley G’s is a New Jersey-style pizzeria by the Scolari’s team and also located on Park Street. Their thin-crust pies work well for a massive takeout haul, but we like to claim a booth with a group, order a pepperoni pizza and a saucy chicken parm sub for the table, and take our time shaking parmesan and red pepper flakes all over everything. The red sauce on both dishes tastes like a romp around a peak-season tomato garden. And if you’d like to attempt the same crust mastery at home, they also have to-go dough and sauce in the fridge for sale." - julia chen 1, lani conway

If you’re in Alameda and craving pizza without the commitment of a full pie, check out this classic spot. They keep it simple: Cheese, Pepperoni, and a standout White Pizza with Ricotta and Spinach. My personal favorite? Definitely the White Pizza. The thin crust is a win, although the dough is pretty standard. What adds a unique touch is their buttermilk sauce – surprisingly good with pizza! Service-wise, it’s efficient. Order at the counter, and they’ll heat up your slices in no time. Prices are fair, making it a good value for a quick bite. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, much like a traditional pizza shop. Bonus: there’s a parking lot in the back, which is super convenient. It may not be the best pizza you’ll ever have, but it’s consistently good and hits the spot when you’re nearby. A solid choice for a quick, satisfying slice.

The thick slices of pepperoni were good, I liked the sauce and dough. The thin slice I had was so floppy, it had to be folded, even then it was very soft and hard to eat. I wouldn't get a thin slice here again. The service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was very standard.

Google
Super cool spot, great service. I tried 3 different slices (Sicilian, deep dish and regular cheese slice) and something is wrong with their cheese. They def need to upgrade their mozzarella.

Allison Vennerberg

Google
Meathead was delicious. Appreciated the level of cheese across the entire pie.

Google
We love to come here as a family for a quick slice. The cheese pizza is amazing and a small salad is more than enough for a family of three. The ready made Sicilian pizza is delish and filling .

I recently had the chance to try a Marley G that claims to embody the classic New Jersey style, but unfortunately, it missed the mark in several key areas. First impressions were promising—the menu's description set high expectations with promises of a crisp crust and authentic flavors. However, the reality was quite different. First, I arrived onetime to pick up the pizza and it was clear that the staff was overwhelmed and it took 10 minutes to get my order (nobody was ahead of me). When I received the pizza the box felt cold. When I got home, the crust that was notably undercooked. Instead of the crisp, golden-brown exterior I was hoping for, the base was soggy and limp, making it difficult to pick up a slice without it folding in on itself. This lack of proper baking really detracted from the overall experience. To add to the disappointment, the toppings were unevenly distributed. The raw garlic on top was particularly off-putting. Instead of lending a mellow, aromatic flavor, it imparted a harsh, raw bite that overwhelmed the other ingredients. While a bit of garlic can enhance a pizza, raw chunks can ruin the balance and taste. For a pizza that touts itself as New Jersey style, this was a letdown. New Jersey pizza is known for its hearty, well-cooked crust and balanced flavors, but this attempt missed the essential qualities that make the style so beloved. I’m hoping this was just an off day for the pizzeria, but based on this experience, I can’t recommend it for those seeking an authentic New Jersey pizza experience.

Google
Really enjoyed the slices at Marley G’s in Alameda especially the “Brooklyn” (an homage to L&B Spumoni Garden?) and the Sicilian which are both made on a really soft and fluffy base with a fine crumb (think Wonderbread, but in a good way) that reminds me of how Sicilian slices in NY used to be before Prince Street and others have made everyone start making those chewier more focaccia-ish square slices (which I also love, but are quite different and more bubbly/airy). It gets that layer of soft, dense dough right at the dough-sauce interface that was always my favorite part of the Sicilian slice when I was growing up. As far as NY/NJ-style pizza by the slice goes, this is up there in the Bay Area.

The atmosphere is great, and the service is amazing with a smile. Cheese pizza is good, could use some improvement in the pizza but otherwise it's a good place to grab a slice.

Yelp
We were on a mission for pizza by the slice and my daughter found this place. $4 for a slice is a steal. (Cheese or pepperoni and a few other options). They stock Boylin soda too so that's a nice treat. I will say the cheese pizza was hella good. Super thin crust, a little crispy, and the sauce was tangy and flavorful. They have good parm cheese too not the Kraft junk. And their garlic peppercorn (not ranch) sauce is the jam. The service is fast too. The staff is friendly and attentive and the restaurant is clean and has a cozy feel to it. Definitely will be a go to pizza spot for us.

Yelp
The first few times I had pizza from Marley G's it was at a party at a park. I enjoyed the pizza. We had several different pies. The eggplant pizza was a big hit with the group. I preferred the pepperoni pizza. I did not review the pizza after these two parties. A review of a lunch that had traveled across town and sat on the table might not be an honest review of the pizza. Marley G's is across the street from the parklet where I meet friends in Alameda monthly for lunch and conversation. I zipped across the street to try a slice for my lunch. I wanted to try a fresh-out-of-the-oven slice. I ordered the pepperoni. The thin crust had a lot of pepperoni and cheese. Often I don't eat pizza crust, but I ate this one. I would not be hesitant to order pizza to go. The slices in the park were as good as the one I had for lunch.

Timothy B.

Yelp
Best pizza in Alameda. The size of the slices are just like New York. The amount of pepperoni they put on the slices are just mouthwatering. I will come here every time for a slice.

Kate D.

Yelp
Pizza was ok! The slice was a little cold, so next time I would just ask for it to be extra crispy. Prices were very reasonable, especially for downtown Alameda! Only street parking which is hard to come by.

Molly L.

Yelp
We came here on a weekend afternoon and the place was very chilly inside, likely because the foods were left open. You basically order at the front when you get in, then wait for them to call your pizza. There's no waiter service and you simply grab your pizzas once it's done. The place says it is New Jersey style pizza. My partner is from the northeast and thought that his slice of pepperoni pizza was pretty true to its name. We got the pepperoni slice and the white slice. I think the pizza could have been warmer, and that the spinach on my white pizza could have had a bit more flavor, but the slices are generous portions and it's nice to have a place where you can order by the slice.

Julian S.

Yelp
Real east coast thin crust pizza, done right. Huge slices, slightly charred, very thin.

Yelp
I was super excited to see that they have a vegan pizza on the menu - they get an A for effort here. The cashew cream base was runny and flavorless - it didn't add to the pizza experience. The olives are tinned olives, also lacking in flavor (other than "salt") -- the crust was okay but overall the vegan pizza didn't get me excited to even eat a second slice. It's just okay if you have no other options (ie, you're eating with your work team mates or out with friends). For East Bay vegan pizza options -- go to Millennium's Monday night "Above Ground" Pizza pop up or Hoza Tuesday-Sunday - really excellent vegan pizza in Oakland.

Yelp
Best pizza in the Bay Area. 4.50 for pepperoni is a steal, especially for how giant it is. Not long wait, great service. Free water.

Stacey B.

Yelp
This is our go-to pizza place if we decide to get pizza. The quality is consistently good, and there are a few pizzas that are more interesting than your typical pizza joint. Downside is, it's a bit pricey. Once we even got a pie to go but ate at the picnic tables across the street on Alameda Ave.

Dhoris P.

Yelp
Great pizza! I love that they have a non-dairy cheese option, which is really hard to find in Alameda. They have the best crust, in my opinion. We have ordered both take out and dine in and it's always great and consistent. The dining area is just ok, nothing fancy. They bring you the pizza with paper plates. They used to have liquor, but was told recently that they do not serve any longer. That's a bummer. We do come here often and is our go to pizza place in the neighborhood.

Lucy U.

Yelp
I'm giving one star for the service. The food was good. I called in to place a pickup order by 8:30pm, and the girl who answered the phone seemed annoyed while taking my order. When I arrived with my boyfriend, he went inside, and although I don't know her name, she told him that orders had to be placed by 8:20pm at the latest, warning him not to order later. They close at 9pm, and since it was our first time ordering, we didn't know that. She was a bit over the top. The pizza was good, but we won't be returning because of the rude service.

Chloe C.

Yelp
Yum! Great spot for pizza by the slice. Reliable, quick, yummy, and a good deal. Will be back.

Donald M.

Yelp
I went to Marley G's Pizzeria earlier today, my only real criticism that I have with the pizza is that the crust was too crispy, I like when the crust of the pizza is a blance of both soft and cripsy, aside from that the Vegan pizza that I ordered was really good, I like all the ingrediants and the nutritional yeast gave the pizza a nice texture. I really like the service, the person who took my order was very nice. In conclusion I will be coming back to try another pizza item on the menu

Jeremy Z.

Yelp
Marley G's serves up Jersey style pizza and if you don't know what that is, I'll save you the hassle of Googling: its crust is crispy and cracking unlike the foldable NY style. This was my first time having it and, regionality aside, this is damn good pizza! We tried their mushroom pie which had roasted creminis, lemon, garlic and arugula. The flavors combined elevated it to something else entirely. We also really enjoyed the scampi chicken wings that come with a zingy buttermilk peppercorn dip that they made sure to let us know was NOT ranch (it was perhaps better). You'll probably want to get an extra one or two of those sauces on the side for dipping that crispy crust. Finally, the staff was friendly and accommodating plus the price was a real value for the quality they provide. There is some worthy competition but this is the best pizzeria on the island.

Mathew C.

Yelp
Still the worst pizza place I've been to in all of California. Horrible everything. I do not know why I have it a second try.

Yelp
Was craving pizza for about a week. Wasn't sure what to expect at Marley G's, as the yelp reviews vary. Decided to try it out anyways and was pleasantly surprised. Pizza was delicious!! We ordered a half meat lovers and half veggie & a large salad. Pizza was thin and had a good bite. NY style. Salad was decent. Only negative is that they don't serve beer. Overall, I'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

Michael S.

Yelp
Thank you, Marley G's !!! Delicious pizza, as always, and they also delivered the extra sauce on the side and the condiments. Obviously, they are paying attention to customers' requests and reviews, and it shows. This is, hands-down, the best pizza in Alameda. And their attention to customers' wishes and preferences show that they are worthy of our ongoing patronage and support. Thank you, Marley G's! You will find a loyal customer in me forever!!!

Alexander N.

Yelp
Review is exclusively for Almanac Brewing location. To keep this sweet and to the point, prob worst pizza I've had in the Bay since moving here 9 years ago. Only redeeming factor is they were generous with the pepperoni portion. Pizza was an uncut slip and slide. None of the slices were cut through and all the toppings/cheese/sauce slid right off each slice as we attempted to grab it.

Tracy R.

Yelp
I used to really like this place. The pizza is very good thus the two stars, 'cause otherwise they deserve zero. The salads are good. But this last in-person visit did it for me - never going back. Walked in at 8pm on a Friday night. Ordered pizza, salad and wine at the counter. Only red wine choice was a Nebbiolo which was in the fridge and you have to buy the whole bottle. Umm, ok. We can kill a bottle, I guess. They bring the food to your table. Salads were generous portions on paper plates with plastic forks. Mind you, we are eating there, not to go. Lights on the ceiling are literally glaring in your face almost no matter where you sit. Defunct cold display case sitting in corner with a sign kind of draped over it - get rid of it if you aren't using it. TVs on walls playing various things - always a bad sign when restaurants install TVs. Water in a huge container sitting on a dirty towel that you get yourself with plastic cups. I get it, this is not fine dining. Pizza comes out, with more paper plates - not very eco conscious. Pizza was delicious. As we ate it, the worker started cleaning all the tables with bleach, so that's all I could smell - super unpleasant. But hey, the tables are going to be clean. Then they proceed to put all the chairs on the tables around us and stack up the outdoor heaters in the corner. The other diners hurried up and got out and we did too. It was literally the most uncomfortable dining experience I have ever had. Ruined our whole night. Don't stay open until 9 if you actually want to close at 8. Yelpers - maybe you could order food to go -- but tbh they screw up the to go order every time we do that. I can only assume they've changed owners. Terrible. Fortunately, there are other alternatives in Alameda.

Elaina T.

Yelp
I am pissed.. this is my first time ordering . I ordered 2 pizzas , 1 pizza came in fine ! Almost perfect , then idk what this is ??? It says I ordered a crustless pizza , which I DID NOT. Like this is literally a pan with some cheese , sauce , and the toppings ... like be so foreal, I can't even pick the pizza up with my hands ! I called to talk to a manager to ask to be accommodated but the person who picked up the phone said there was no manager and then tried to get me to call customer service?! Like what ... I'm pregnant and was really craving this ! I'm really upset . I feel like I'm being punk'd right now because this pizza is ridiculous.

Bettye F.

Yelp
I have loved their pizza and bragged about it for two years. Today was a major disappointment. I ordered takeout the Deep dish Spicy Pepperoni. OMG the crust was sooo burned it should never had been sold. I live in Hayward, so I didn't take it back. I also got the White pizza which has been a favorite. The crust was hard, not the fresh dough I remembered. I will no longer recommend Marley G's.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Marley G's pizza was excellent! It was my first time going there. 10/25/2022. I've actually planned to try it a few times but went to its next door neighbor Tomatina. Mistake!!! This place is definitely better. The freshness of the pizza sauce is tasty and the cheese doesn't get hard and chewy. The basil actually come on the pics rather than in the side. They have other options other than pizza that I'm looking forward to try next visit. The young man who greeted and served me was very nice and polite. Must make this my "pizza night" spot unless we're making it at home. Wonder if they offer take home dough?

Anna A.

Yelp
Slice of heaven! First time here, and the people are so friendly and welcoming! Food came out quickly to table too. Airy, delectable pizza!! Please come show some love!!

Rich H.

Yelp
Oh wow! Their cheese slice is the first slice of pizza I've had since living in Oakland, New Jersey (North Jersey, 23 years ago) that distinctly reminded me of Oakland NJ Pizzerias. *chef's kiss* I remember senior year of high school, I scheduled my auto shop class right before lunch so I could take off early to get some Oakland Pizza for lunch, or to Blimpies. Their italian sub is almost an exact Blimpies copycat. Such delicious memories. I also ordered their margherita and added sausage and tomato to one half. The sausage was hella north jersey/NYC. The only thing missing was the rivers of greasy oily cheese, but I think that may be a thing of the 20th century, cancelled by today's healthy focus.

E. H.

Yelp
Terrible experience. I ordered and paid for a 16" pizza and was delivered a 12" pizza. When I called back the rep told me that I had in fact ordered a 12", interrupted me multiple times as I attempted to explain and then she hung up on me. I called back and urged her to read the order more closely and finally she acknowledged that I had ordered and paid for the 16". While she did offer to call the Slice app for a refund she said she was doing it as a "favor" and the mistake was "not their fault" because of Slice. Marley G's clearly needs to get a handle on its relationships with apps. I can find better customer service and better pizza elsewhere. Bye, Marley G's!

Chun P.

Yelp
PIZZA BY THE SLICE! Alameda and the rest of the Bay Area doesn't have too many cheap eats, but Marley G's won't break wallet too much. $4.50 Chicken Pesto...Huge NY style slice covered in a vibrant and flavorful fresh pesto sauce, with generous amount of cheese, chicken, and sundried tomato. Lovely! $5 Sicilian...simple square slice of mozzarella, parmesan and red sauce. Pretty good, but I wouldn't order again because they got better slices.

Melissa V.

Yelp
We've ordered from Marley G's twice now, by way of GrubHub delivery, and both times, our orders have been delivered timely, but incorrect. The first time, half of our order wasn't sent (salad and mozzarella sticks). Our calzone and chicken parm sub arrived. The chicken parm bread, breading, and sauce were great! The chicken was a bit rubbery. The calzone crust was good, and the filling was flavorful. Tonight I ordered a calzone and eggplant parm sub, and instead a as I received a pepperoni pizza and someone's Create Your Own pizza with salami and a bunch of veggies. Unfortunately , I don't eat meat, so while they both looked like nice pizzas, I didn't have dinner. GrubHub refunded my order, but I'm not going to reorder. I had someone here who eats meat, and found the salami and veggie pizza flavorful. I'd love to be able to give them more stars for food quality, but we need to get the right order first.

Chelsea T.

Yelp
Service is good. Pizza is average. They used canned mushrooms and some weird sausage on the pizza. Salad was good. I won't be back.

Jack R.

Yelp
Beware they try to automatically add the 18% tip to every to-go order. I had to change it. The person in front of me wasn't so lucky. They do not have indoor dining right now, all the tables and chairs are stacked up. They do not have a special slice of the day just regular slices. The service was rude and they were speaking and judging their customers in Spanish thinking that people can't hear them complaining about their job and the low pay. Now to the upper pizza slices. Extremely greasy and the lemon slices in the Brussel sprout pizza was bitter and just a bad combination. Their Sicilian slice was all sauce and hardly and cheese and didn't have a crispy crust. In fact non of the slices did. It's more like an upscale Pizza Hut.

Breeze D.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon with my partner. We ordered 2 slices of the Sicilian, 2 soda pops and a chicken Parm sandwich to split between the 2 of us. The Sicilian was pretty good. Had a nice soft crust with a crunchy bottom and the sauce was very good. The chicken Parm sandwich was very bland and the chicken had a weird taste and color to it. Everything was a bit overpriced, especially for the lack of quality.

Audrey A.

Yelp
Single slice is gigantic! Well made, tastes so good. The crust is crispy, not greasy, but also soft. The toppings and cheese...I can taste the quality and care put into this slice. I'm in love. Wish this pizza flavor is not seasonal. But it is.

Erin J.

Yelp
This place is a solid 3.5+ star for me. Rounding up because it is the nice thing to do. We've gotten food from here twice, once pick up and once delivery. Both times we got pepperoni with garlic and onion. Last night we also added the cheesesteak stromboli and we got it direct for delivery. Interestingly, the pizza was much colder this time when it was delivered than when we picked it up. But it was still very good. The pepp is quite spicy so beware. I like it but others might not. The cheesesteak stromboli is also quite spicy (I think banana peppers?) but also pretty good.

Rachel R.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible that when the delivery driver drops off your pizza and leaves it on the floor and doesn't bother handing it to you before you can even check that it's the wrong order! I don't care if it's GrubHub 3rd party driver. The pizza they gave us had clearly been sitting in the box forever it was so soggy that when I went to pull a piece the salad crust slid our from under the toppings. Not sure if they will even bother giving me a refund at this point I'm pretty sure the person working the phone is able to do anything.

John R.

Yelp
Out of the box it was greasy and undercooked. I had about half, and in general disappointment I put it in the fridge. The next morning, after cooking the left overs in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 4 minutes, it was much better. Oh well....

Anh-Dao T.

Yelp
Pizzas by the slice? Wow, this takes me back to my high school days when we would grab a slice of pizza off Park St. during lunch hour. Back then, we would basically have a choice of either cheese or pepperoni. Kids these days sure have it going for them if they get pizzas like Marley G's! I mean, chicken pesto? Figs? It amused me when two high school boys came in after me and ordered the fancy slices too. Sure beats our old NY Pizza standby!

Kaitlyn B.

Yelp
A pretty solid pizza spot!! We pass by Marley G's often and today was finally the day! My SO was nearby and feeling pizza for dinner, so he called in an order to pick up on his way home. The menu has lots of great options and it was hard to choose tbh. He said ordering over the phone was very pleasant. We got the caesar salad and the roadrunner pizza. Both were yummy! The caesar dressing was great and I appreciated how much dressing they gave us. The pizza was good. Not like best pizza I've ever had or extra special, but good. It's a thin crust pizza with a good balance of sauce and cheese. They have vegan options which is nice (not for me but you know lol). We only tried these two things so far so, more reviews in the future! Will definitely return.

Steve D.

Yelp
The great thing about Alameda is that it has lots of restaurants to enjoy. Recently on social media (Facebook), someone asked "Who's got the best pizza in Alameda?" Lots of names and places got thrown out, and Marley G's Pizzeria came out in the Top 3. So I had to go try this place, and it was worth the visit! After surveying the menu and Yelp reviews, I pre-ordered the Classic Strombolie and a slice of pepperoni. Went down to pick it up, waited a few minutes, and was on my way. Prompt and friendly service just before 5pm on a Saturday. How was the food? A Slice of Pepperoni, Grade (5/5): Yes, just a slice of East Coast style pepperoni. Thin crust, spicy aged pepperoni, and tasty hot cheese. I'm guessing I'm supposed to fold this? Well, we're on a island in SF Bay, so we eat it and wash it down with beer. Good pizza! Classic Strombolie, Grade (5/5): I popped open that box and gazed upon a complete Stromboli.....sliced and included plenty of dipping sauce. Regular size, ham, salami, pepperoni and mozzarella! Could use more cheese, but it was a good balance! A regular is enough for 2. It's sliced, and you dip it in the sauce (regular or spicy). What's a Stromboli? It's a pizza turnover. Usually made from pizza dough, the usual toppings are on the inside. You slice it and dip in a sauce. It travels well as takeout or delivery. So, the people have spoken and they were right, Marley G makes good pizza. Welcome to Alameda, The Island City..... Support Local Business!

Shaunie G.

Yelp
I finally tried them. I wasn't a huge fan but the cashier was super nice!! The slices were like $5.50 and the stuff crust pizza was mostly dough. Now the garlic bread was on point. I could just order that and eat it. Glad I tried them but not a fan.

Brandon R.

Yelp
Excellent NY style pizza! After a last minute switch decided to get our Super Bowl food here - did not disappoint. We got two pizzas, one with half penne vodka half eggplant parm and the other half cheese half pepperoni. The penne vodka slice transported me right back to the slice shops of nyc. It's not the most high brow but it is delicious! The eggplant with the ricotta was delicious, one of my favorite slices growing up. The eggplant was not overly fried and dried out so was delicious. Their cheese and pepperoni were SOLID. Hard to find a close ny slice but they do a really good job. Extra points for having take and bake baked ziti in the cold counter - you can also grab dough balls from them too!

Nikki D.

Yelp
Being from the east coast, I can honestly say that this is some of the best pizza in California ! Eggplant parm pizza is a must ! Marley G's never ever disappoints. There's something to be said about a solid pizza considering up until the last few years, the Bay didn't have many. If you worship pizza like I do - go. Now.

Todd K.

Yelp
Solid NY style pizza. Did the pepperoni with extra cheese. Order correct, reasonable prices. I'll be back.

Allyson U.

Yelp
I arrived early for a haircut and thought I'd grab a couple slices so I wouldn't pass out on my bike ride home. I walked in and ordered one slice of cheese and one of the special, which included, arugula, nectarines, prosciutto, and *I think* goat cheese. I told them I would eat outside and they said they would bring it out. I waited about 8 minutes and the slices came out piping hot--I may have burned the roof of my mouth. Both pizzas were delicious and no soggy bottom. The crust was nice and crispy. The cheese was pretty standard and greasy--yum! The special pizza was delicious. I appreciated being able to taste all the different flavors and the sweetness from the nectarines was SO GOOD. I'd order two of the specials next time ;)

Yelp
WHEN: Saturday @12:45pm What a shame that it took me this long to finally try this new-ish local pizza shop. I'll just say that this is the first weekend I'm walking down Park Street since the Shelter-In-Place started. There was only one party in line before me and distance was enforced. Indoor dining isn't an option, but what's cool is they have a lot of items on display for sale besides pizza--Items such has ingredients to making Italian dishes. I was in more of a snack mood so I ordered pizza by the slice: SEASONAL SPECIAL - $5 Asparagus, Meyer Lemon, Prosciutto, Calabrian Pepper, Mozzarella, Goat Cheese, and Sea Salt. You definitely taste the lemon, so lemon lover would love this. I liked everything about this slice and appreciate the good amount of prosciutto. You have that lemon, and salt along with the veggies and creamy goat cheese and it just fits well together. It's such a great combo! As for the crust, it was crispy on outside, and fluffy and light on the inside! PEPPERONI - $4 Gotta have your simple and traditional slice of just pepperoni. It's pretty greasy but you can always dab it with a napkin. I don't have much to say about this slice but the fact that I enjoyed it! Oh and I like that its the smaller sized pepperoni they used! After you place your order, they kindly ask you to wait outside for it. Within minutes they bring out your order as takeout, along with a cute tiny bag with napkins, parmesan and chili flakes inside. With the pandemic slowly lifting (more people vaccinated), I need to remind myself to come here more often to try their seasonal special pizza.

Yelp
I didnt think I would like their pizza so much. Its New York style and taste pretty much like New York. Iv tried many places in the bay area but when it comes to New York pizza I think these guys have it down. The crust was delicious and sauce was well seasoned. Cheese was not very chewy. I think they make their own motz since they sell home made mozzarella and sauces as well. They dont have much dining facility because of Covid but some seating outside. Overall I think they are awesome. Always great customer service too.

Yelp
This place is good for what it is... a local pizza joint. The new owners kept the recipe, but, sadly, none of the ambiance. The pizza is good though. It's a great place to pop in for a slice when you're craving a fix. The bad thing is that THEY STOPPED OFFERING BEER. I'm sure the license costs an arm and a leg in California, but damn... Huge oversight.

Yelp
Their cheese slices are amazing. Pepperoni is a little too salty for me, but you won't regret the plain cheese. Tastes like a jumbo slice from NY!

Yelp
My family and I were walking around Downtown Alameda and decided we wanted pizza. Made reservations at a restaurant and they said that the wait time was about 30min. Walked around a bit more to kill time and realized 45 min passed and still no text from the restaurant. Walked by Marley Gs and saw that they served whole pies but also served pizza by the slice! We decided to skip out on the reservation with the other place and just eat here. We walked in and we were greeted right away, the service was amazing! We ordered a slice of cheese, white, special and the MGs salad! The slices were big and the dough is thin, crispy and delicious! My favorite was the white slice and the salad! There was no indoor dining at this time, so we sat outside where they had heaters and a few tables! Super satisfied with the food and service, we definitely will come back!!

Yelp
Pretty good pizza. Ordered the eggplant parm pizza and the garbage pizza. Enjoyed them. Paid $90 for 2 pizzas and a small salad...feels like a bit much...but that's how much pizza costs ($35-40 each) these days apparently. Would order from here again.
