The Best Restaurants for Big Group Dinners in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"This funky, old-school Belltown restaurant is draped with colorful fabrics and covered in cushions (“you feel like an owner’s guest in a sultan’s tent” is one of the many taglines on the Marrakesh website) and diners are encouraged to eat with their hands. If that didn’t already have your attention, groups of eight or more can order mechoui, a.k.a. a whole lamb cooked over charcoal. Three days advance notice is required; you can get in touch with the restaurant using this form." - Harry Cheadle

The Best African Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The ornate rugs, low-sitting tables, and poufs in the tent-like structure of this Belltown restaurant will transport you to the streets of Morocco. Marrakesh has been serving Moroccan cuisine in Seattle since 1989. You can’t go wrong with classics like chicken, honey, and prune tagines, vegetarian couscous, lentil soup, and the flaky sweet and savory b’stilla. If you’re dining with a party, consider mechoui — a WHOLE LAMB roasted over a charcoal fire — which is a perfect indulgence for a special occasion. (You have to give the restaurant three days notice and have a party of eight or more for this one.)" - Alicia Erickson

How anyone ranks this place below 5 stars is beyond me. The owner welcomed us in like we were old friends despite it being our first time there. The vibe is unmatched. Between the curtains and the cushions, it’s like you stepped through a magical door into Morocco. Every meal comes with 5 phenomenal courses: soup, salad and bread, an appetizer, the main course, and dessert. He even brought us baklava at the end, so maybe 6 courses? The mint tea is phenomenal. This is the kind of meal I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

Google
What a beautiful place! You walk in and feel like you're no longer in Seattle. The atmosphere is so fun and unique, the service is incredible, and the food was delicious! Would definitely come here again. The mint green tea at the end was mine and my husband's fave (and he doesn't even like tea).

My partner used to live in Seattle and always raved about his experiences at Marrakesh! We finally made a trip out, and it exceeded expectations! The coursing of the meals is wonderful, with the highlight of our night being the Tangine of Spicy Lamb! It was perfectly seasoned, so tender, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend!!

Recently dined here and loved every bit of it! We went with the 5-course meal, though you can also choose from their à la carte menu. The 5-course option felt like the best value for money—and it truly was. The dining experience began with washing our hands at a traditional wash basin. The first course was a refreshing, light salad, served with fresh, soft bread. Next came the traditional lentil soup—light and comforting, though it could’ve used a bit more seasoning (thankfully, they provided some on the side). The third course was B’stilla Royale, and it turned out to be my favorite of the entire meal! Crunchy on the outside, stuffed with flavorful chicken—absolutely delicious. I wish I had room for another one—definitely coming back for more! 🤣 For the main course, we ordered two tagine dishes: the Chicken with Honey and Prunes was sweet but surprisingly enjoyable for our palates, while the Spicy Lamb was savory, rich in flavor, and the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. The final course was dessert: a milk pudding that wasn’t overly sweet, with lovely textures, and a cup of mint tea—my all-time favorite drink! Overall, this place offers great value for money and delivers an authentic experience, both in taste and ambiance.

Google
Wonderful service! Such a genuine feeling of family hospitality as soon as you enter this establishment. While I haven't had a many opportunities to taste a lot of Moroccan cuisine, this was my best experience with these dishes. The Turkish coffee was one of the best cups I've ever had out of any Mediterranean or Middle-Eastern restaurant. Go in and take a front row seat for a wonder dining experience!

Google
A beautiful restaurant. It’s a 5 course meal and you tell them your dietary restrictions and either pick a main or have them pick it for you. If you go on a Friday night, you’ll get belly a belly dancer dancing through our tables. This restaurant is super unique and such a gem in Seattle. The food is absolutely amazing. The owner is super nice

Google
This is OUTSTANDING!!!! Aziz was our waiter and he was on top of everything. He was kind, attentive and funny! We had no idea what to expect coming here but immediately upon entering it felt like we stepped into perhaps a Moroccan’s living room with long sofas against the wall and stools with low table tops around the perimeter of the room. Super cozy. We were surprised by the best mint tea, appetizer, salad and dessert to be INCLUDED in our meal! For approx $33 per person it felt like quite the experience and deal! We had our hands washed at the table and spritzed with orange blossom water. That’s a first! We had unlimited mint tea refills. Just superb experience. So great I can dismiss the fact that the walls inside are a bit beat up and sofa we sat on was hard (maybe it was just my spot). Doesn’t matter really. We will be back!

Went here with a large group of friends, 15+, and we had a great time. Servers made us feel like a part of the family and had fun entertainment. The way it works is it's a 5 course meal. Before you get your food they wash your hands at the table. I guess it's a Moroccan tradition. But the food goes like this. 1. Bread and eggplant salad. 2. Lentils soup. 3. Chicken baklava. 4. Main course of what you chose. 5. Dessert coconut pudding. Since we had so many people we ordered a family meal which was a variety of meals like lamb, chicken, vegetarian, and other dishes. They were all really good, but the highlights were the honey chicken, lamb eggplant, and chicken baklava. My favorite being the chicken baklava, it's sweet and savory which you think wouldn't work, however it is delicious, couldn't get enough of it. What was most surprising is they had a belly dancer show in the middle of the restaurant which was really neat. The server was super nice and made jokes with us, great time. I highly recommend stopping by and having the chicken baklava it's so good.

Yelp
Came to Marrakesh for the first time before going to a show at Paramount Theater. We were hoping to go in and try just a few things and see belly dancing before our plans! The inside was decorated beautifully with our seats low to the ground but crowded around a small table. We were sat in the corner and for 6 people we had to expand to using a second small table. Prior to going, we looked over the menu and decided on grabbing some soups, salads, and B'stilla Royale. When we got to the resturant we inquired about this and were told that we cannot just order soups, salads, and B'stilla Royale. We were then given the a la carte menu. Not being too hungry, we were all thinking of getting a couple of plates off that menu and sharing. We were also then informed that we cannot do that. Everyone at the table

Yelp
When you walk in, the ambience makes you feel like you stepped into a tent in Morocco. There is no window in the restaurant, and I would've never thought it's a such a different world inside. The server brought a kettle to wash your hands before meal. We got three free appetizers when we ordered the daily special. We got lamb shank and assorted kebabs, and they were delicious. There was even dessert and tea after the meal. The server was very attentive and respectful. Overall, it was a great experience!

Yelp
ucked away in Belltown, Marrakesh offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience that's hard to beat. The moment you step inside, the dim lighting, traditional decor, and plush seating transport you to a vibrant North African setting. But it's not just the ambiance that impresses--the food is truly the star. We sampled the spicy lamb, the lamb rack, grilled lamb kebab, all standout dishes that exemplifies Marrakesh's expertise. Each bite was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a blend of spices that highlighted the meat's natural flavors. It's served with a side of fluffy couscous and vegetables, which complemented the dish well. If you're a fan of lamb, this is a must-try. The experience doesn't end with the food. The live belly dancing performances add an extra layer of excitement to the meal. The dancer we watched was incredibly talented, captivating the room with her fluid movements and vibrant costume. It's a delightful way to immerse yourself in the Moroccan atmosphere. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a unique dining experience in Seattle, Marrakesh is a wonderful choice. Great food, lively entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a memorable night out.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly welcoming host. He took the time to chat with us about his business and Moroccan culture and cuisine. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant. Also, make sure to get the tea at the end of the meal. So good!

Yelp
A fantastic Moroccan restaurant in Belltown. The staff are very friendly and the ambiance is fantastic. To start, they wash your hands and then the 5 course dinner begins. The first course is the salad which was fresh and served with bread. Next was lentil soup which was flavorful. Then came B'stilla Royale which had a phyllo dough crust stuffed with ground chicken and spices topped with powdered sugar. I had the special of the day which was kababs, kofta, and basmati rice which all were very flavorful and perfectly cooked. The last course was a milk pudding served with mint tea. Every dish went perfectly with the next and it was a fantastic dinner. Overall, this is a great place to come for dinner and they also take reservations. I can't wait to come back soon and try more dishes.

Yelp
This is an excellent Moroccan Restaurant. The ambience makes you feel like you are in Morocco, and the food and service are incredible. I ordered chicken, spicy lamb and CousCous, all the food was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I came here for Valentine's Day and it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the service & decor was spectacular. They started off with hand washing at the table by pouring rose water into your hands. There was a set 4 course meal and we made a reservation. 1. Salad with unlimited bread 2. Phyllo meat pie 3. Choice entree 4. Baklava I got the lamb for my entree and my bf got the chicken with pear. Both entrees were very good we just wish it came with rice or potatoes. My favorite dish was the phyllo meat pie, I've never had thin flaky crust like that before and it was delicious! There was also a belly dancing performance during our dinner which was a delightful surprise!

Yelp
Such an amazing place to immerse yourself in a Moroccan environment- obviously family run, the night we were there they were under staffed but it did not affect service or quality, as some belly dancers and you would think you were in Morocco. Will definitely be back next time I am in Seattle (FYI - for people who have a hard time sitting low, you may want to rethink the dinner, just remember, it's an experience)

Yelp
The 5 course meal experience, including a spiritual hand wash with your meal mates and belly dancers who've studied in the Middle East for entertainment (with an option to get up and learn). The decor: low tables/couches/stools, hanging lamps, bulgeoning ceiling sheets, tapestry. These transport you somewhere well outside of Seattle. Makes me want to travel. There was a lot of food, overall was decent, some new to me so I'd need to adjust my palate. Lamb lamb lamb. Well worth to try it at least once.

Yelp
I was beyond delighted by the service, food, and experience here. We just stumbled across this place. Firstly, there's a gorgeous tiled piece on the front facade of the restaurant. When you enter, the ambiance is dark, cozy, and homey. You're seated at low tables on small pouf/cushions. There's a 5 course meal option and a La carte menu. At first they only give you the 5 course meal option which honestly sounds like a good deal (all we're around 28-30 bucks). We grabbed a couscous dish and this dish that ended up being like a gourmet Moroccan hot pocket. All dishes were delicious. We shared two aka carte items between 3 people. Before we were served the server, a really kind person, washed our hands. We all put our hands over a beautiful silver basin looking thing and he poured water over them. Was truly looking for a quick dinner and had delightful immersive experience instead.

Yelp
This was recommend by our local friend and I can tell, it worth every buck you pay! It's huge portion if only 2 people eat. 4 people were just enough. Food was so yummy, perfect balance of salt and sweetness, and cook to the right texture. Ambiance were pretty, and romantic.. perfect for date nights!

Yelp
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing on several fronts. Despite making a reservation, it seemed unnecessary. The waitress was inattentive throughout the evening, forgetting our drink orders and leaving dirty dishes scattered around our table for extended periods. The ambiance was supposed to be enhanced by a belly dancer, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. The dancer's costume, adorned with bills, looked tacky and unappealing. It detracted from what could have been a cultural highlight of the evening. To add to the disappointment, the glass of wine I ordered arrived visibly dirty, which was off-putting and frankly, quite nasty. While the prices were reasonable, I would not recommend this restaurant for any special occasion due to the lack of attention to detail and the overall underwhelming experience. In summary, the combination of poor service, unnecessary reservation hassle, messy surroundings, and unappealing presentation during the entertainment makes it unlikely that I will return or recommend this restaurant to others.

Yelp
What an experience. They rinse your hands in rose water prior to letting you eat, even they don't trust that you actually washed your hands after using the bathroom. I reccomend just getting the set meals that way you can enjoy soup, salad, appetizer, entree of your choice, and dessert. Probably about $30 per person, if you go with a group, I'd suggest ordering different entrees so you can share and try more variety. Whole experience was probably about 2 hours, belly dancers come out later in the evening which we were glad to have caught it. First time having Moroccan food and I think this is literially the only Moroccan spot in Seattle so I have nothing to compare to, it's located in Belltown so only street parking. You might have to sit on the floor so recommend not wearing anything too tight or difficult that you can't squat down. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Shoshana A.

Yelp
We stopped in here, took a chance while visiting Seattle boy are we glad we did. We loved the food, ambience, and service. The Turkish coffee was amazing as were our lamb dishes, and salad. Thank you Aziz for the wonderful recommendations:)

Yelp
The food I would say, was just above average but I think the whole experience is what you go for. Love the interior and the intimate seat setting inside. Hand washing before and after the meal (rosewater rinse afterwards). I tried the Brochette Marrakesh ($32.95 for 5 course). The skewers were small and the lamb bits were nice and lean. Other courses: -Lentil Soup -Salad and Bread -B'Stylle Royale (Flaky pastry with cinnamon/powdered sugar and ground meat filling) -Rice Pudding Dessert -Morrocan Tea was Nice and Sweet Also ordered a few glasses of Moroccan Wine ($9.50) NO a la carte on the weekends. The Belly Dance show was fun! Staff was nice but also a but pushy? Located in belltown.

Yelp
First time trying Moroccan food for our family. I wanted a unique experience. We heard about Marrakesh from a friend who suggested the experience. Marrakesh is really unassuming from the outside- looks small. Inside is cozy and intimate with pillow poufs and carpeted walls- really cool setting. The whole experience was cool- Handwashing at the table Eggplant salad to share with their fresh bread (resembles milk bread-spongy). Lentil soup A puff pastry with cinnamon and sugar with minced chicken inside- that was my favorite. I was pretty disappointed with my meal- I expected spices and complex flavors. I ordered the lamb and eggplant tagine- it was a chunk of unseasoned lamb with one tiny ring sliced eggplant- chewy and tough. The lack of seasoning just shocked me- very bland. My husband's spicy lamb also had zero spice. Lastly washed with rose water- smelled amazing- even some coconut pudding and hot sweet mint tea, pudding was an interesting texture, tasted amazing. Service was quick and friendly. He did say this isn't a place for picky people- I had one daughter who just ate bread. Overall, recommend for the experience. My son's kebab and rice looked way better than my lamb and eggplant tagine.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times and left satisfied both the times. A different experience with your hands being washed at your table. Ambience is good and so are the staff and service. For the price on the menu, you would get a salad, a baklava, lentil soup, the main course, milk pudding and mint team. Make sure you have a good appetite while you go here so that you don't waste food :) . I wanted to try the hare dish, but they didn't have it. So I went for the spicy lamb (again) as it is very flavorful. The mixed kabob was also good, which we would rate second of the dishes we ordered and the chicken the third (we aren't fans of meat based dishes which taste sweet). Do order the tagine stuff, the meat just melts in the mouth. My family loved this place.

Yelp
The food and decor was amazing! Server's were kind and helpful. Very considerate of my food allergies. Best part was the homemade bread. Highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
We visited this place for dinner on a Sunday evening . The ambiance has a perfect Moroccan setting. They greeted us and rinsed our hands before the 5 course meal. The appetizer consisted of salad, semi sweetened pastry and lentil soup . They had both veggie and non veg options to choose from. For entrees, one could choose any dish from their expansive menu. I got the couscous veggie and my brother got the veggie potato filo. My dish was a little too bland but his pastry was great. For dessert, there was coconut rice pudding. I liked how it was not too sweet. There was also belly dancing entertainment activity, which was fun. Overall, the food was average but the experience was great. I would recommend checking this place out for the experience. Also, don't forget to make a reservation!

Yelp
I went here a few years back while traveling and I loved it, I arrived both times later about 1.5 hour before close. First experience was amazing service amazing food but the most recent time I went the waiter was dismissive when he brought me the wrong food. Would not help me since the kitchen was closed.. I was just asking to switch the price since I had originally ordered something more expensive. He refused, we finished eating and left. I highly recommend the portland OR location, on busy nights they have music, belly dancers and a whole experience.
google avatar

Sabina M.

Yelp
The service at Marrakesh is always amazing, with a personalized experience with the staff where you can take your time, talk, and laugh, I'm always happy to invite people to try Marrakesh and to experience their 5-course meal with other foodies. They have a warm-honey ambiance with their beautiful North African rugs decorating the walls. All in all, Marrakesh always gets a 5 from me!

DeAnna G.

Yelp
Arrived and stood at the door for over 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. I had a reservation but they didn't ask my name. They sat us near a large family and there was a belly dancer (as was advertised on the website). However, she left about 3-5 minutes after we were seated and never saw her again. Lots of young children we're running around and screaming/crying, which ruined the ambience. Food presentation was nice, but the meat was so overcooked, chewy, and hard to eat. I enjoyed the five courses, so you can try a variety of foods. My favorite was the lentil soup.
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
Dropped in on a Sunday evening. The place was calm & quit with a single friendly server who most likely is the owner. Very friendly & accommodating. Seating is cozy low lying benches with cushions and warm lighting that gives a feel of home. Server even washes our hands with water prior to eating which we felt was a nice authentic touch. Food was flavorful. We tried chicken & lamb tangine. Don't expect to get Rice or couscous with tangine, it has to be ordered separately. They sadly didn't have kabobs this night which was a bit disappointing but none the less a good experience of Moroccan cuisine.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
I found this place near my hotel. First time trying Moroccan food. The service was exceptionally nice and friendly. The food was good, but I found it to be under seasoned for my taste. To be fair, I'm not very familiar with Moroccan food. Maybe the flavors are supposed to be subtle and on the blander side with no spice. Would've been nice if the chicken was served with rice or couscous to take full advantage of the honey sauce. Most of the sauce didn't get eaten since there was nothing to absorb it. The wine was decent, but way overpriced at $9.40 per glass. Glad I tried it, but I probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Bang for your buck! $27 for 5 course meal. Started off with eggplant dip salad and homemade bread. Very fresh and flavorful. The lentil soup is the best especially dipping it with homemade bread! Second course is baked chicken in the pastry topped with powder sugar and cinnamon. Chicken with sugar and cinnamon?? It works! It was the best dish among everything we tired. Entrees were a little bit disappointing. No strong flavor and grilled meat were dry and over cooked. Lamb was cook to tender but no flavor. Dessert was really nice milk pudding and mint tea. We went Friday 6:30 and caught a belly dancer around 7:30. Staffs were really friendly and overall experience was unique. But the wait was really bad on that day tho. 5 courses nearly took 3 hours. If the entrees were a little bit flavorful, it would have been 10/10!

Yelp
The food was really delicious, the hosts were very friendly and kind, and the whole experience of eating here was unique and interesting.

Yelp
Great food great service. I ordered a tagine I Highly recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Khoa N.

Yelp
Appreciate the culture and vibes. Entering the establishment felt like we were no longer in Seattle. All their entrees were a 5 course meal. 1) Lentil soup was flavorful 2) Salad had a lot of tomatoes but wasn't bad 3) the chicken with a outer shell was crispy and tasty like a sweet donut 4) Catch of the day included Tilapia and mushrooms, it was quite delicious. 5) dessert was a bit soggy, wasn't a fan. Overall, good experience, food was alright, never had Moroccan food before so it was different. There was a belly dancer entertaining while everyone was eating, it was interesting. If you want to experience different and unique this is the place to try.

Yelp
Presentation and portions of meal are well balanced . Entertainment dancers is a must see, and good idea for couples and people new to area.

Yelp
A cozy dining experience tucked into the heart of Belltown -- it's the perfect spot for a group that wants to try a ton of different things. The decor is truly otherworldly and the owners are so sweet. The whole meal is filled with fun theatrics, including hand-washing at the table, tea-pouring and belly dancing at night, among others Each meal is a 5-course affair of authentic Moroccan food -- you get a soup, salad, main entree, phyllo dough pastry, and dessert. They have plenty of vegetarian options, and I really loved the couscous I got. I had a lot of fun during the meal and would definitely recommend to friends!
google avatar

Brad F.

Yelp
Fun time experiencing the food, service, and ambiance here. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly as we tried and shared a variety of dishes, ordering an option that included different preparations of chicken and lamb. Everything was presented nicely and we enjoyed our meal. For the adventurous, there are quite a few more exotic options on the menu.
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
You can order a la carte but my friends and Iordered the 5 course meal to get the full cultural experience. It cost around $25-30 depending on the entree you chose. It starts off with a salad, soup and this flaky sweet and savory pastry that everyone shares family style. The pastry was definitely interesting. Surprisingly really light! Then we move onto the main entree and we went heavy with the lamb dishes! I'm not a lamb fan but it was so tender! I ordered the catch of the day fish and enjoyed it! Food wise, everything was good but not anything too wow factor for me. To top off the experience, they offer belly dancing on weekends! I recommend making rsvp! We ended the meal with mint tea and rice pudding! For the price and service, I'd say this is a must try! Full video review on my Instagram @tinyhangrytiff

Yelp
TLDR; would bring someone just for the experience you get a few appetizers and dessert for free on top of the main that you order, which was a pleasant surprise. not all the food was mind blowing (i actually liked the appetizers better than the mains that we ordered), but the assortment of food overall was good. also got a lot of food for the one dish we ordered. food aside, it was just fun!!! i enjoyed the ambiance a lot and the fact that you get to sit on little poufs. they also wash your hands and spray them with scented oil. the first time i came, i got spritzed with this delectable orange scent that i wish i could bottle up into a perfume but alas. it can be a little bit of an ordeal so don't expect this to be a quick meal

Yelp
Made reservation for one since I wanted dinner with belly dancers. Yes I know a weird combo but hey it was what I was in the modd for. The gentleman who answered was friendly and polite. He told me it starts at 7 so get there around 6:45. I arrived around 6:30. I ordered, ate and at 7:20, I asked one of the waiters, what time will it start. He replied there was a delay and will start at 8. Hopefully I have enough battery to record. Great food and service.
google avatar

Marylin C.

Yelp
What a delicious meal! The host was also the waiter and he took care of all diners with ease. We had one lamb and one chicken tagine dish. The pre dinner appetizers included were a delicious salad and lentil soup. The star of the appetizers was the sweet meat pastry. I have not been to a Moroccan restaurant that has served this in years. I was so happy to see it. If you are in Seattle and you enjoy Moroccan food definitely try this restaurant!

Yelp

Yelp
For some reason my grandma took terrible pictures for most of my meal :( The vibe where are great. When you enter you are truly transformed to morroco and the staff is so friendly. When you do the 5 course meal you start by washing your hands the traditional ceremonial way. Then they bring out and eggplant and tomato dip/salad with fresh bread. The salad is so fresh and vibrant. Also, the bread is unlimited, just ask for more :) Then they bring out a lentil soup, which you drink from the bowl. It was delicious, and I'm not really a fan of lentils! Then they bring out a pastry that is phyllo, ground chicken, cinnamon, and powdered sugar. At first glance that seems a bit strange but it all works together, but it was delicious! For the entree my friend and I shared. We got the lemon chicken tagine and a lamb tagine. They were both incredibly tender. My only "critique" here is that the lamb needed a bit more salt and the chicken a little more people in order to get a bit more umami. But I'd order again for sure! For dessert you get you rinse your hands in orange blossom, such an amazing touch. The dessert is a rice pudding and fried coconut shreds and a warm mint tea. Both were great! For the price (about $30 a person) this is an amazing deal these days. I can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
From the food to the ambiance to the service, this was easily the best meal we had during our trip to Seattle. The honey chicken was beyond good...so flavorful and falling off the bone. I loved the whole experience -- the five courses, getting hands washed, sitting on the poufs, the orange rose water...it was unforgettable. Thanks for a great meal!

Yelp
Marrakesh is my favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food is absolutely delicious, and the ambiance transports you straight to Morocco. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the entertainment bellydancer was very fun. From the first dish to the final tea pouring ceremony, this isn't just a regular restaurant--it's an amazing delicious adventure and a truly fun experience!

Yelp
Unique, cozy, colorful interior. Feels like you are no longer in the Pacific Northwest. Servers and owner were friendly and helpful with questions. Food was delicious and filling. Lots of flavors without being spicy. Super tender lamb and chicken. B'stilla royale: unbelievable!!!! Sweet exterior, savory filling, delicate pastry.

Great Ambience Food has no flavors , very bad service , asked for a fork it never showed up . Asked for to go bag never showed up . Very bad service for people who ordered ala carta . Ordered the chicken kabobs which was unflavored n dry with no dip n hard to eat , served with bland plain rice . I am a fan of middle eastern n Moroccan food n tried many before but this Moroccan food but has left me disappointed with no taste n no hospitality . If you are not doing 5 course meal then don't try this , its a waste of money n taste . Belly dancer was engaging so giving 2 stars but its zero.

Yelp
We had a super fun Mother's Day with our group. Had the royal dinner and the food just kept coming. They had a belly dancer and had so much fun. We had salad, soup, a savory chicken pastry, tons on different entrees and dessert with mint tea. Take a group!

Yelp
Delicious food, great price and fantastic atmosphere. The tea at the end is sooo fun. A total dining experience you will not forget.

Yelp
I have no idea what most people with 4 stars and no complains are up to and it's kinda confusing to me. But it's fine. I go there almost every week with my boyfriend, I personally believe that when I go there I need to wash my hands in the bathroom before I get the warm water wash at the table, I believe the wash at the table is more to remove the soap/creams from your hand that would affect the flavor, than to actually CLEAN your hands. I always order the vegetarian courses, so I've never had the chicken Bstilla that apparently some people had issues with, the vegetarian one is always super good and flavourful. I don't personally love the entres because usually when I get to them I am way too full. It's a lot of food, and it's cheap too! I don't know where else I could get a 5 course meal for 2 people for less than 100 bucks. The staff is super friendly, they recognize me and my boyfriend since the second time we went there, to me it seems like they care about their customers, I've never had any issues with the food, but I really believe that if I had, it could be solved by talking to the staff. I would recommend making reservations for weekends when they have their belly dancing shows, whenever I go there it gets pretty crowded after a while. I need to confess tho, the first time I went there, I thought it was a sh*thole, the appearance from the outside is nowhere near what it is inside, it's worth it. Hope my evaluation could help.

Yelp
If you're considering Moroccan food/experience, please, just go somewhere else. We decided to order from the a la carte menu. Regardless, we were told that the chicken Tagine came WITHOUT couscous (and there were no potatoes in the dish). It was NOT served in a tagine pot and was mediocre at best. We then requested a baklava pastry and it was rancid with a hard bottom! I couldn't believe it. When I told the server that this baklava was not fresh (which they claim), I was told that it was made yesterday. Now, it takes baklava at least one week to become rancid, so who knows how long they had this baklava sitting in their restaurant-ughh. I couldn't believe they served it to us...and even more shocking was that they actually made us pay for it. Finally, we were told the belly dancing (which is suppose to be on Friday and Saturday) would be starting at 7pm, (we were advised on phone to make a 6pm reservation-we settled on 6:15pm)but by 7:30, still no belly dancer. When we started to get up from this disaster dinner, I was met with a roller carpet cleaner at my feet. We left without even seeing the belly dancer. Unbelievable. Just don't bother.

Yelp
Read if this is your first time here!!-- This is a must go in the Pacific Northwest! Definitely a hole in the wall, but glad i came across this place. It is great if you have time for a long dinner and want an experience / show TOTAL DINNER LENGTH: 2 hours+, so you can pay for the right amount of parking. All parking is street parking. Free after 8 PM RESERVATIONS: highly recommend, although on a Saturday evening, they were only 90% full. We made a reservation at 6 PM. The dancing started at 7:30-8 PM, and I believe only happens once in the evening, so plans your reservation around the show! MENU: the menu is overwhelming at first glance. Our server was great at helping us navigate it, but in general, MOST ppl ordered the royal dinner, which is complete with 3 sharing courses, 6 main entrees, and dessert/tea. It is ALOT of food but a good mount for 5-6 ppl Our meal was brought out slowly and a very relaxing experience. I would definitely come here with a large party again!
