Google
I had an excellent experience here today. The space is nice and open with great natural light from big windows. The food was delicious but what really made it great was the service. Andrea was attentive and approached us with a smile every time. Everything came out quickly and our drinks were never empty. I will be back!

Google
A chic work-friendly space at THE MART.
The river views outside were stunning. The Ube Latte was great, and the food we ordered was delicious too.
This place is amazing! Couldn’t be happier spending time here.

Google
I recently had a business meeting at Marshall's Landing (in the restaurant). The Asst Gen Manager came over to our small meeting to ask how things were, and later he gave me a quick tour of the facilities, inviting us to move to an even better table, and asked me to return to work again! We had lunch and coffees and found the staff to be very amenable to our working there after lunch. The food was very good (sandwiches for lunch) and the staff were very friendly. I plan to meet and work there again! Thank you for running such a great place in a wonderful venue.

Google
I would rate the atmosphere 5 stars. Service was very good - we were seated promptly during busy lunch hour. Food and beverage is where it was lacking. They seem to have a “temperature “ issue. My Paloma drink was not chilled enough. And the home cut fries were way over cooked (see picture) I am not sure how they can serve that. The turkey burger was tasty.

Google
Delicious cocktail, amazing ambiance, and one of the best view of the river. And our server Anna was the best-est! If you enjoy lychee martinis, do try their lychee lemonade, it was delicious

Google
Found Marshall’s Landing within the Merchandise Mart while visiting Chicago. A great spot to work remotely. The cushions are comfortable. There is a coffee shop right above the seating area. Love the creative genius who created.

Google
We really enjoyed our meal here. Came during lunch and it was busy but not too crazy. We started with the brussel sprouts which may have been the best of all - we then ordered the burger, chicken caeser wrap, and turkey club. All were very good! I didn’t realize you could get the salad as a wrap until i checked the google photos!

Marshall’s Landing at Merchandise Mart is a true hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The service is absolutely spectacular—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience, whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee, a business lunch, or a relaxing evening cocktail. The space itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Chicago River and a modern, stylish ambiance that makes it perfect for both work and leisure. The menu offers a fantastic selection of drinks and bites, all beautifully presented and delicious. Whether you're a local or visiting the city, Marshall’s Landing is a must-visit spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch service and an unforgettable experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
I recently tried Marshall's Landing for lunch with my coworkers on a weekday. We chose this place for its proximity convenience, but definitely had a good experience. I'd only reserved a table for 4 and the check-in process was pretty smooth. We ordered an avocado toast for the table to share. The portion size is definitely huge. My coworkers ordered a tomato bisque soup, and Mediterranean salad bowl. I ordered a portobello shroom burger along with truffle fries. The shroom burger was served with a vegan bun. The menu had a lot of vegan/ vegetarian dishes, which was impressive! Overall, amazing food! Our server was very patient with our order and made good suggestions for the table. Also, not to forget to mention, the place has a lot of seating space. They have high chairs, bar stools, as well as couches. I will come back to this place to try more of their food for sure.

Yelp
Cool, laid-back place to lounge around in the afternoon for day drinking. The environment is chill, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. Plus, the view is fantastic, adding to the overall appeal of the place. Service was okay, but not great - it could use some improvement. We only had the Shishito peppers and a couple of beers, but overall, it was a decent experience.

Yelp
Definitely a nice place for happy hour 4pm-6pm and they are only open on Monday-Friday. Food is delicious. Tried the truffle fries (big portion), angry chicken (favorite), and hummus plate which was okay. Love to chose from their happy hour drink specials which change daily and went for the mango habanero margarita which was incredible. Plenty of bar seating, great for group events, and outdoor patio. Great spot for fun happy hour!
google avatar

Yelp
What an awesome restaurant and bar! I came here to kill some time before going to an event, so I worked at the bar over a drink. To my surprise I was walking into a happy hour and a bustling atmosphere. It was peak happy hour with everyone being done from work and I found myself amongst other after-work groups and individuals also working at the bar. They had an impressive and extensive menu as well. This restaurant is located inside Merchandise Mart right on the second floor, there's escalators and stairs inside leading you up to it. My bartender, Igor, was very helpful and seemed like such a pro mending the busy bar. I had a mango margarita which was sweet and good. Then I had the limoncello spritz which was okay, it's usually not my type of drink but I wanted to try something new. Both of these drinks were on the happy hour / specials menu. Needless to say I could totally see myself coming back here!

Yelp
First time visitor and surprised but how great this coffee shop/workspace/eatery is! It was a little confusing where the coffee shop was located. Take the stairs to your left when you walk in the main door facing Wacker. The coffee is great, the treats are great, the service was speedy and helpful. This is a great place if you want to work remote and change up the scenery! Just go!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here with some friends and tried a variety of drinks and food items on both the happy hour menu and regular menu. We ordered the crispy calamari, Bavarian pretzel bites, brussel sprouts, angry chicken fries, and Carolina BBQ flatbread. The food was good and everyone commented on how fluffy and chewy the flatbread was. For drinks, we ordered the machu pisco sour, easy meets Manhattan, lychee lemonade, and the blood orange Paloma. We all agreed that each of the drinks lacked balance flavor wise and were a bit lackluster. Each drink was missing something flavor wise - I would say the best one was the pisco sour. I would recommend coming here for happy hr if you happen to be in the downtown area; otherwise, go somewhere else for drinks.
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
We ordered our coffee and sat in the restaurant area in the morning before they actually opened up. It was a very nice working area with a great view. Latte and yogurt parfait were both very good. I definitely recommend trying this place.

Yelp
What a beautiful space with a stunning City view to match! I had heard there was a full restaurant inside the Merch Mart. Decided to stop in this afternoon since I had to come to the building anyways for something unrelated and let me just say, Marshall's Landing is fabulous! I admit I am a bit of a burger-snob lol and strangely so few true burger bars still exist in the downtown area but I had been in search of a place to satisfy the juicy burger cravings when they hit. As soon as I saw a burger on the menu, I felt compelled to order it...and alas, I found my new burger spot here! The staff, in particular Mila at the bar is so kind and a delight to strike up conversation with. Mario, the manager, came by to introduce himself and I told him how much I liked the space. I can definitely see having a social gathering here, it's just the right balance of fun yet swanky. Yelp tip: they offer weekday happy hour bites and drinks from 4-6pm which caters to the folks that work in this massive building but open to all. I'll have to come back to try other items on their menu but I left here totally satisfied. Everything seems fairly priced for the high quality and solid service.

Yelp
Marshall's Landing is a nice upscale bar in Merchandise Mart. It attracts a very professional crowd. The drinks are priced reasonably and the food is pretty good as well. It's a nice place for a post-work happy hour.
google avatar

Daniella F.

Yelp
I love coming here for a quick drink or bite to eat. The food is solid and the drinks taste great! They have happy hour from 4-6 and you can't beat the prices for the location. There's a great view of the river and it's a modern, yet cozy space. My fave is the calamari!! There's some sort of light buttery sauce on top and they mix in cherry peppers for a nice hint of spice! And the Brussels are also fire lol crispy with a little of that burnt flavor, but the chili honey gives it a nice balance of sweetness. And I appreciate the creaminess of the goat cheese. Lastly, the servers are always attentive and friendly. They literally ask about my baby and mom since I'm here frequently and it's so kind. This place isn't overly fancy, but it gets the job done!
google avatar

Sandya K.

Yelp
Cute and expansive area to meet up with a big group of friends and grab either a coffee or meal! Service in the morning was quick, but only 1 barista was working so fair warning if you see a line. Cool seasonal drink in addition to the basic espresso/latte/drip coffee options
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
I really enjoy this spot for lunches or happy hour. There is always space to sit and they have seasonal specials. Today I ordered a harvest salad and my mom ordered the shrimp & angel hair pasta. Both were very good, light, but a generous portion.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in Marshall's Landing a few weeks back and they were sold out of the lunch special. Today, I came back and the Lake Superior Whitefish was available. It did not disappoint! It had great flavor and the spinach was a great addition! Well done!
google avatar

Kiera R.

Yelp
Great place to have lunch or dinner. The staff is amazing. Mario, Igor and Nicole always greets me with a warm welcome. The drinks are sooo good and the food 10/10 Definitely recommend!!!

Demetris B.

Yelp
I had the roasted chicken! It was delicious, great hospitality from Mario and the staff! On Wednesdays they have half price bottles of house wine and Prosecco!!! GET NEAR!!!
google avatar

Chay A.

Yelp
Overall I would say a p good happy hour spot, very spacious and views are good. Brussels sprouts were good, Kung pao cauliflower was spicy af to me, chicken finger fries were good. Sangria was bad. I liked that it had a lot of food options even tho it was a happy hour menu
google avatar

Jorge P.

Yelp
A great place in the Merch Mart to get a drink/food/hangout. If I'm meeting anyone nearby for lunch, this is usually the first place I think of to meet up. I recommend giving it a try if you've never been. Nice people / serves that work there and are helpful with anything. This place even has a side go & grab type of window where you can order coffee & anything you need quick & easy. I would recommend this Marshall's Landing! Personal Review: 8.1/10
google avatar

Clara S.

Yelp
Came here for some great happy hour deals and ambiance. It's definitely a hidden gem in the merch mart, and the bartenders are super friendly. I got some pours of crisp Sauvignon blanc and rosé, and I also ordered the chicken fries and Brussels off the hh menu. Both were super tasty and good portion for the cheap price! Truffle fries were a hit among the group too.

Kia D.

Yelp
Love Marshall's Landing! Whether you're looking for a mid day retreat for lunch, a comfy work space or a happy hour to start your weekend, this spot is it! Fast and sociable service, delicious cocktails (with specials running every day of the week) and tasty food! Mario is a treasure! Add it to your list of regular spots to visit.
google avatar

Bruce S.

Yelp
incredibly good food, service and atmosphere! Mario makes us feel like we are guests in his home!

Yelp
The perfect spot for a lunch if you're in/near the merchandise mart. I've been over 30 times and the quality has never slipped. They have a great menu from appetizers to salads to handhelds. My go to is either the Salmon Poke bowl or the Chopped Chicken salad which packs a ton of flavor while still letting you have a lighter lunch. The staff has also been extremely attentive and polite every time I go. With a great view of the river looking into the loop and a full bar, this is a great happy hour choice as well.
google avatar

Billy D.

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance I work for them and they are wonderfully respectful, efficient at their job(s) and are Trans-Friendly! Also, their food is incredible. Try the lobster roll
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
I work in this building, and this is the only sit down restaurant at the merchandise Mart Plaza. I've eaten here a couple of times and food was pretty decent. Unfortunately, this last time I ate here, there was a hair inside the meat of my hamburger. It was after a couple of bites in the beginning of the meal. I gave back the food. They apologized, and did not charge me. Because of my experience, I will not go back there, A pretty cool vibe. Lots of different seating. At night after 5, it sounds like a night club though. They play very loud night club music and there seems to be a lot of people.

Yelp
This place is amazing starting with the staff. Manager Mario Madrigal is very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to every customer. His professionalism along with passion for his job is apparent. Waitstaff Mike was so amazing and on point to listen to my food preferences and provided such a wonderful experience for my lunch. They have amazing food made by Head Chef Lupe and Sous Chef Juan. They made the best French onion soup with lots and lots of onions which I love, they make their own sourdough bread, and I got a grilled cheese on that which was done perfectly crispy with melted cheese on sourdough. The tomato bisque was fresh with with tasty and light croutons. I came here on a Friday afternoon and the ambience was perfect. It's a Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of comfortable plush leather seating, booth seating for big crowds, and bar seating. There are plenty of charge stations for people to do work while sipping coffee or tea. Beautiful location and space and decor inside Merchandise Mart on the 2nd floor. There's a coffee with baked goods section as well if you just want hit tea or coffee or hot chocolate. Marshall's Landing is only open weekdays FYI. Definitely great for drinks, food, hot beverages. I will return!

Yelp
Marshall's Landing provided a 10/10 dining experience. We went on a Friday around 5 PM and to our surprise, not many people were seated. All of the attention was on us- we were quickly seated, our orders came out right away and and the waiter gave us shots and extra chips The food itself was good. My portion of risotto was small but I enjoyed the flavor. Their burgers are a decent size and the fries, chips and guac were good as well as the drinks. And the ambiance speaks for ourself. Although this restaurant sits on the second floor of the Mart, the view is impeccable!

Yelp
Wow! What a gorgeous spot! This must see restaurant offers so much. Gorgeous and dramatic, it offers a wow factor. Grand staircase, working stations, couch seating, live piano music, tv's and a gorgeous view of the river and city; there is everything here! We only stayed for cocktails this time and they were expertly created. The menu looks very interesting and the food I saw at other tables looked delicious. I definitely want to return for lunch. Our server Dustin was fantastic! He was personable and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, cocktails and restaurant itself. Dustin was extremely helpful and attentive. So much so, that I want to return to have lunch in his section. The crowd looked like young creative professionals. The lively vibe was great to watch. But I think I'll return after the lunch rush but before happy hour starts.

Yelp
From the food, to the ambiance, to the staff, Marshall's Landing is my favorite spot downtown. Mario in particular is an amazing host, makes us feel special and cared for everytime we he sees us. ML is a weekly visit for me. It should be for you too.
google avatar

Bonnie S.

Yelp
Food is fresh and well prepared; service efficient, not overly rushed and ambiance with view of the Chicago river perfect!

Lauren L.

Yelp
my friends and i went here for happy hour and had such an amazing experience!!! it was my friends birthday so mario brought us out a piece of cake and a free round of drinks. everybody was so friendly and the appetizers were delicious!!! we got the margharita flatbread, the pretzel bites, and the truffle fries. it was all so good i would highly recommend!!!

Cheryl T.

Yelp
You can't go wrong at Marshall's Landing. The food, the drinks, the ambiance, the view, the friendly staff and Mario the manager are all wonderful! I've never had a bad experience here. I just wish they were open on Saturdays too so I could get here more often! :)

Rodney J.

Yelp
Everything about this Place is Amazing. From the staff to the amazing managers, I always have a good time. The food is always amazing, prepared correctly, and delicious of course. The space is cozy and warm, I feel so comfortable and welcomed. Highly Recommend. - Rodney J

Yelp
Hidden gem. Located on the second floor of the Merchandise Mart, this restaurant/bar offers an elevated view of the Chicago River with gourmet dishes at modest prices (the highest merely $22). Large selection of premium drinks (drafts, cans, wines, cocktails) at suburb pricing! Mario, the assistant GM, makes you feel like family. His menu knowledge and exceptional services makes us want to go back tomorrow! For residents and travelers seeking a highbrow experience without the steep tariff, Marshal's Landing delivers just that. Now, go try for yourself, and reply to this comment if you agree (or don't)!
google avatar

Yelp
They have great shared common area seating. Reasonably priced cup of Joe. Flavor was decent. At first, we thought the shop was closed because their tiny area was not lit and no one was manning the area. However, a girl popped up from the back and took our order and made our blah drinks.
google avatar

Nay U.

Yelp
Always a great place for lunch or drinks. Diverse menu and good happy hours. This time - I ordered the omelette for lunch which was delicious. Great place to hang out and work too. They often have private events after 5 so try to make a reservation if you can.
google avatar

Lori K.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this coffee place when I was exploring the area around it. This place has an amazing work environment. It's chill, warm ambiance makes it a good place to meet up with someone, have some good coffee, and chat. There are outlets to the tables if you need to charge your devices, and the wifi was fast also. The caramel sea salt latte was sooo good!

Rich S.

Yelp
I was here today on a business lunch with a client of mine who recently moved their office to Mart. I have to commend the service level at this restaurant. We felt like it was a 5 star restaurant how great everyone from the Assistant GM to all the servers. Keep in mind my client has only been in the building a few weeks and they knew them by names. People need to hear this as this level of customer service is often rare to see. The bonus was their food was very good and wide ranging. Highly recommend.

Sarah R.

Yelp
this is my favorite lunch location in the city! great views and the staff is warm and welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for business or pleasure!

Alexandra Y.

Yelp
Very nice view and cool vibe. Didn't even know this place existed! Went for happy hour and got the passion fruit cosmo, chicken fries and hummus plate. It's kinda weird they don't have a history stand to check in tho
google avatar

Deanca C.

Yelp
I must have stopped by on an off day. I walked over and I was sure about the seating situation so I just chose a random corner and waited. No one said anything so I walked over to the bar to ask about food and they finally had someone walk over to serve me. I asked about switching to a table (any table) since I was waiting for someone and he told me that it was booked.... it was 11:30ish Am on a Monday and not a lot of people at all so I took it as a sign to just leave. Sucks but it's Chicago and a ton of options!
google avatar

Maralyn O.

Yelp
I can't really give it five stars without having a meal here and knowing what the food is like, but I can tell you it is a really innovative spot. A grand area of seats that are padded welcome you up the stairs to the actual bar and restaurant. You can work there with your laptop, or on a long wait table that is on the side of the bar. There are marvelous views looking out over the river, if you get a window table. It's all steel, glass and concrete so nothing to absorb all of the noise and chatter. There was a piano player, but he was drowned out by the noise. I think we were the only ones in the place that tipped the poor guy. We had excellent service from the wait staff, but we could not hear each other speak because of the deafening amount of other people's conversations. But if you like loud, crowded and noisy, and you are a millennial or a Gen Z, You will probably love this place. It's young and it's loud.

Raquel C.

Yelp
Love this place!! Best hospitality in the city!! Mario, Adam, and the whole team are extremely caring and attentive. Also have an amazing happy hour!! 10/10 recommend.

Tehya M.

Yelp
I love coming here! They have the best food, cocktails, and the sweetest service! A relaxing environment for every occasion, I recommend! :)
google avatar

Tavi J.

Yelp
I met up with a friend here for lunch and it's a cute spot. Love how the sunlight hits the room. Also there's cute little couches to sit on. For the food....the avocado toast was delicious! The devil eggs were okay, but I could have done without the pickle. My friend ordered the chili and said it was too spicy for her, but I probably would have loved it. I plan on going back to try more menu items.

Tyler W.

Yelp
cute upscale looking place with cheap prices for happy hour and really really good food. mario is the man and can tell you where to go after. 6 stars

Yelp
We were in Chicago for a couple days, thought walking around the mart was a good rainy day activity... did that for a couple hours, then went to grab drink & snack. Bartender Natalie was awesome! Not only a good bartender but great about answering our questions & local information. The staff recommended the Angry Chicken Fries... different than what we expected... but so yummy we ordered seconds!
google avatar

Sid G.

Yelp
This is a toss up between 4-5 stars. Fun place with good views of the Chicago River. Lots of people sit on the "wall of stairs" which is located just outside of Marshall's Landing. Ample amount of tables, long "L" shaped bar with many seats in case the tables are full. We've only been here for drinks, usually during Happy Hour. Service is always spot on and friendly. On this visit, I ordered the Old Fashion off the happy hour menu....consisted of homemade Blood Orange syrup and Basil Hayden bourbon, "drunk" cherry and orange peel, quite delicious. My wife had the Espresso Martini which she wouldn't share with me. :( :(

Yelp
What a find! I'm embarrassed to say that despite working across the street I just found this place and looking here it's been around for a year (at least)! Beautiful design of the space that is great for a friendly catch-up, business discussion (informal interview, informational chat, feedback discussion) or as a co-working space. The views over the river are also beautiful - a definite go-to for me as the weather turns. I went for lunch with a friend and thought the food was tasty as well - salads were healthy size and good (had the cod lettuce, apple and manchego).
google avatar

Kimmie R.

Yelp
Great service Diverse menu with lots of selections for picky eaters Tasty beverages Full service bar Excellent food - a fancy lunch and breakfast place! Good coffee, great mixed drinks, excellent bartenders, always. They lost a star because: - They don't have organic sulfite free wine. - Small bathrooms - Amazing staff and not so great staff. Some of them know customer service and how to provide it and some don't. Your experience here is largely based on the schedule. Seating is based on how many are in your party. If a table of two wants extra room and you aren't busy give it to them! Not giving it to them means their experience starts off as less than great even if that's not your intentions. Maybe they want a bigger table to use a laptop, work while eating or have more privacy. There's no reason a empty restaurant should say you can't sit here.
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
Hip spot to get some work done in between meetings. There's plenty of seating and even a projector streaming major sports events you can watch on the steps. I happened to stop by during happy hour - the menu looked appetizing! I got the Brussel sprouts - pretty bold and a little bitter. Probably best as a side dish to break up the intensity. Since it's convenient, I'll have to try out the Prosecco and truffle popcorn next time!
