The 20 Best Bars In East Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Whenever we’re underwhelmed with a hot new bar opening, we always find ourselves back at Martha My Dear. It’s a slightly swanky-looking neighborhood bar where you can always find a $10 pour of the week, like a white Negroni or frozen piña colada float. (Not to mention, any cocktail on the menu is just $10 from 5-7pm every ding dong day.) Their red leather booths are a likely place to run into that barback you worked with back in the day or that person you bought a couch from on Marketplace. And every Tuesday, you can snag something from the rotating food trucks parked outside to go with your two-for-one beer. In the past, we’ve seen Guyanese street food, Latin American hot dogs, and seriously loaded burgers." - ann walczak, bailey freeman, adam sloan

The Best Happy Hours in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Pop into this East Nashville neighborhood bar for a “hanging [out] in your grandparent’s basement bar” vibe, but with excellent cocktails, a pool table, and snacks like reuben sliders and chocolate chip cookies. The interior is cozy and filled with ornate touches like string lights, a pressed tin bar, and green leather-topped stools. The happy hour specials are cozy, too, with $10 cocktails, $2 off wine, and $1 off beer every day from 5 p.m.-7 p.m." - Ellen Fort

The 17 Best Happy Hours In Nashville 2024

"WHEN: Daily, 5-7pm THE DEAL: $10 all cocktails, $6 pour of the week, $1 off beer, $2 off wine During Happy Hour at Martha My Dear, every cocktail is only $10 and they have a rotating pour of the week. It could be something like the Half Moon made with rye whiskey and cognac or the Devil’s Advocate, a mix of mezcal, Batavia (a fermented red rice spirit), black currant liqueur, and lime juice. Take some time to admire the bar space, too—it reminds us of our high school friend’s parent’s basement. There’s a pool table, colorful holiday lights strung from the ceiling, neon signs, a stained glass window, and neighbors who are still in pajamas ordering their “usual.”" - adam sloan

Google
I can’t comment on the food because I didn’t have any, but the service and cocktails were amazing. I had the half moon and it was probably the best cocktail I have ever had. And only $10 during happy hour. Super friendly staff. Don’t let the exterior scare you away. The interior is fabulous.

Do not let the humble exterior of Martha My Dear fool you. I had a first class experience at this lounge that is off the beaten path in Nashville. Seeing a Cynar neon sign and vintage Amaro posters everywhere was an indication that this place knows their spirits. Bar service was fast and friendly...even on a Friday night. I had a few cocktails from the menu and one or two off the menu and was not disappointed. Their Negroni and Sidecar were top notch. Highly recommend Martha My Dear if you enjoy quality cocktails.

I visited this place during their first week of opening and I was pleasantly surprised by the vibe of the place overall although there weren’t many people there. I’ve been there a few times the following couple of months and they’ve still managed to be hidden (which honestly I prefer, less crowded and relaxed vibe) I loved that they have a pool table there and some seasonal cocktails along with the regular menu. Another benefit of having this bar in East Nash is that there’s parking, and if you don’t find parking up front, there’s additional parking at the back. Service/staff is friendly and will always recommend cocktails. They’ll also sometimes whip up cool mixes if you ask to be surprised. It’s priced slightly higher for this area but the pool table makes it worth it for me. Overall, I’ll recommend this place any day. I’ll be going there again for sure!

Google
A fun local bar in East Nashville, complete with a pool table. Parking is extremely limited, but decent amount of space inside. Friendly bartenders and affordable cocktails, which is really tough to find in Nashville anymore. Highly recommend you check it out if you're in the area, I would visit here again.

Perfect place to be around friends and enjoy a couple of drinks. The drinks are amazing and the service was on point. Didn't eat much but the sliders are so good.

Google
This has become one of my favorite spots for some solitude but also to grab a fun cocktail. The clientele is always very friendly and the bartenders are very helpful! Parking can be an adventure, but Tuesdays are 2-4-1 🍺…winner, winner!

Solid bar, had the good luck, babe, unfavorable winds, and half moon! Everything was good!

Tipsy Jitters is ✨to die for✨…did I mention that it’s to die for?? Been here a couple times and the service was extremely attentive even on their busy nights.

Yelp
We LOVED this spot. There's a small lot and the drinks were all delish. The bartenders were also amazing! There were some pool tables as well which gave a little bit of activity for the boys. We will be back!!

Yelp
Finally got to Martha My Dear! The location is very unassuming but it's a great "upscale dive" where you can still get great cocktails. And Shelby was an amazing bartender but everyone we encountered was great! All of the cocktails were really good but the holiday special menu was our favorite with the Blitzen and Toymaker's Vacation topping the list. And don't sleep on the spicy ham sliders! An elevated bar snack that's the perfect treat while having a couple of drinks.

Yelp
Girls night out & Shelby was here again to save the night for us! Ordered from their speciality Winter Menu (see pic) & if you're a bourbon lover go with Frostmaiden's Rime, if you're a citrusy or marg person go with I Don't KNOW Margo-rita. Friendliest crowd around! OMG, it's not on the menu but ask for their homemade Egg Nog, it's the best I have ever had in my life! We just sampled it with shots but coming back to get a full glass soon!

Yelp
Ooooh I love this little unassuming bar on Gallatin. Our good friend is a regular here, and I'm so glad to be in the know on this hidden gem. While Martha My Dear has some elements of a dive bar (moody lighting, vintage decor), it's actually quite clean and very inviting. The red booths are comfy, and the ambiance is just right - not too loud that you can't hear your friends speak, but not too quiet that you're listening to the conversation at the table next to you. Although they were busy on a Friday night, it wasn't packed to the brim like many of the other bars in East Nashville on weekends. We were able to get our drinks quickly, and the bartenders were very friendly! I ordered the Tipsy Jitters, which is their version of a White Russian. Our bartender recommended swapping the vodka for rum sometime, which I'll definitely do on my next visit. Martha also has a nice beer and wine selection, and their happy hour deals are great too. ($10 craft cocktails in East Nashville every day? Say less.)

Yelp
This bar has always intrigued me, and I finally stopped by. It's got moody lighting, a great cocktail list, the bartenders were super friendly and although they don't serve full meals here, they have snacks to keep you satiated. This feels like a fun place to check out before going to a show in the area. Parking is free all around.

Yelp
At first glance you'd think this was a dive bar. But I'd call it an elevated and clean dive bar with craft cocktails. Two of my favorite things combined into one. An old coworker of mine works here though he wasn't in tonight. Brendan and Alex were both great bartenders and gave me awesome recommendations for live music in the area. I had a blast thanks to them! Next time I'm in East Nashville I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love love love this spot. Bartenders are super kind and knowledgeable, it was pretty busy when I went in but they were very speedy. Cocktails are thoughtful and there's an option for everyone. Love their Christmas decorations + menu, it was super cozy and festive without being too crazy. Love the fernet crocodile pool table :)

Yelp
Super cute vibe in here. Stopped in a few weeks ago before a show at under dog and the service was awesome! Can't remember the bartenders names but they were all so friendly and helpful! Drinks were delicious and so was the food. We stopped back by after the show!

Yelp
The best atmosphere and the best craft cocktails. Seasonal menu was a hit with great bartenders! Great place to stumble upon visiting from Iowa.
google avatar

Yelp
When first arriving the atmosphere seems much like a dive - packed, a smoking area outside, and a pool table near the entrance. Once you make your way a bit farther inside, the vibe is definitely more upscale. The cocktails are reasonably priced and there is a "pour of the day" that's only $10 if you end up enjoying what the pour is. Clean restrooms, a variety of seating and standing room, and even a small menu of food to order! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great happy hour spot! Bartenders were super friendly. Kind of a divey atmosphere but in a fun clean way. We came for happy hour on a Monday and it wasn't busy at all. We got some drinks off the cocktail menu but also had them make some other drinks which they were happy to do. I got the Besito which was super tasty and then I got an aperol Spritz. I would definitely be back! Only thing is they are very strict on happy hour, I ordered my second drink right before 7 but didn't end up getting the happy hour deal.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! It's in a very unassuming building, but has almost a 60s speakeasy vibe to it. There's plenty of chairs and tables and some gorgeous velvet couches. Happy hour is 5-7pm and it makes craft cocktails $10. They have a good sized menu with a lot of ingredients I wasn't very familiar with so I asked for the bartenders help. He had me describe flavors I liked and made me something off the menu with pineapples and it was delicious & strong! All staff members were very friendly which isn't always the case in these cool hidden bars, so that was appreciated. Overall a very cool place, will definitely be back! Also there's a couple of parking spots right in front.

Yelp
An excellent add right off the main drag in east Nashville. Martha My Dear has a cool dark retro vibe accompanied with some fantastic cocktails. I would love to see the cocktail list grow but the ones I've tried so far were excellent.

Yelp
Really cool interior space and very friendly bartenders, especially Shay and Jason. This picture is early in a Saturday. Great neighborhood bar

Yelp
Olives were smooth and tangy. Good service with a soft opening, very excited to see how the joint evolves!
