Google
Martin's is great though this isn't our favorite location. Still very good - we get the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, nachos, etc! Service is awesome though.. very quick and friendly.

I've been to Martins a few times now but I've never tried the ribs. It's always been brisket and wings. They are two excellent choices. The pulled pork is also too e notch. I think the prior meals set a high bar for the ribs for they came across as ok. There were not bad at all, they just lacked that Smokey flavor that I'm use to with the other products. The ribs were cooked well and tender they just didn't do it for me. Now they pull pork sandwich was awesome and also the sides which consist of broccoli salad and Mac and cheese. They chili was also good and full of flavor. Trust me, you will not be disappointed, you will find something you like.

Google
The seasoning on the ribs was great. The brisket is ok. The devils nectar sauce was great but the alabama white was chunky and gross. Baked beans and fries were good, slaw was a little sweet for me. Husband had to go ask for a fork even though he got beans and brisket.

Google
Came during Fathers day where it was mildly busy. However, this place is always at least mildly busy. Very mediocre experience.... Meat: Dry Rub Ribs - Blah Brisket Sandwich - Blah Sausage Link - Room temp and lacking much flavor Sides: Generally small portions for a BBQ joint Fries - Wouldn't know...they ran out Mac&Cheese - Just ok Green Beans - Straight out of a can w/ no added flavor Service: Had to remind we were short a drink. Had to ask to refill the Straws. Brought me wet ribs instead of dry ribs I ordered (and showed on receipt). Disappointing and glad I tried before bringing friends & visiting family.

Google
Sadly this location continues to decrease in quality and increase in price. Taking a healthy side option away for the kid's meal is now their worst decision. Chips and Fries are the only option. Maybe take away the soft drink! Having been 30+ times, it will be hard to go back until things change. Hoping it does! Sides and pulled pork are inconsistent on each visit. The service is always great and fast!

Google
Tonight I ordered the worst brisket I have ever had. I ordered 1lb and I would say 70% of that was just pure fat. Inedible for me. I know brisket isn't the leanest meat, but this is by far the worst I have had. I feel it was a total waste of my money. The mac and cheese was great. Never had issues with the pulled pork, but never will order brisket again.

Tanner Aldridge

Google
Oh, Martin's BBQ is the real deal! Their ribs are so tender, they practically fall off the bone, and the sauce is just mouth-watering. Plus, the sides, like the mac 'n' cheese and coleslaw, are top-notch. Definitely a must-try spot for some delicious barbecue in Nolensville! 🍖🔥😎😱🥵

Google
We picked this location over going to Downtown Nashville and we were very glad. It was a nice laid back location! Lovely staff. Very helpful with recs. We tried almost everything! The wings were our favorite! The staff member helping us was able to make sure I didn’t get anything I was allergic to. If we hadn’t ordered so much, I would have gotten more of the turkey tacos.

Yelp
OMG!!!! Have now eaten at 8 different BBQ places in Nashville area this week and hands down, no questions asked, this is simply the best yet!!! Service was A-1, visual inside very nice and the food - the food!! Started with brisket chili. For some maybe a tad spicy but for me was dead on. Onions, jalapeños, beans, brisket, cheese, sour cream. Excellent. Sliced brisket with house sauce - brisket was smoked perfectly - tender and warm. House sauce is thin (not watery like some say), more Memphis-like than Kansas City consistency. Tried the 'Devil's Nector', too. For me, sauce added that perfect bit of extra spice. MAC-and-Cheese was special. Just the right cheese consistency, the buttered bread crumbs on top were perfectly done adding some extra flavor. Baked beans were smoky, mildly spicy and damn good!!! Topped it all off with pecan pie (I am a Pecan Pie connoisseur so...) and, like everything else, it was very good. If you are in Nashville area and don't come to the Martin's on Nolensville Road, you are missing one great meal!!! Relax, take your time and enjoy! It's worth the drive and time!!

Yelp
I had eaten at the Martin's downtown, and remember it being pretty good, even though it was a long time ago. When I was in town for some meetings, I had a hankering for brisket and some delicious barbecue, and this place fit the bill. I got the brisket, and it was delicious. The perfect amount of juicy, tender, fat, and lean. Good bark on the outside. Great smoke flavor and taste. One of the better briskets that I've had outside of Texas. The beans were surprisingly spicy, and had really good flavor. The corn hot cake, I could take it, or leave it. Not really great, not really terrible. I may have missed it at the counter, but it could've used a little bit of butter and I didn't see any. The location is convenient, fish, with a parking lot, and it's easy to get in and out. The decor was pretty cool and overall the place had a good vibe about it. My gripe really was the service. While the girl at the counter was friendly, she didn't really seem to care, same went for the folks who brought my food out. They drop it off and ask you if you needed anything else, I just wanted to say "I don't know yet I just got my food." Worse yet, they never checked on you... even though you've already given that tip.

Yelp
They are single handedly keeping Edley's BBQ in business Always out of everything 3 hours before they close Go hire a Supply Chain Grad who can learn ya

Yelp
Our last bbq restaurant on our stop in Tennessee, we loved this place!! Some of the best bbq we had. The service was fast, the bartender was friendly and the portions were big. A fun casual place with great food.
google avatar

Steve U.

Yelp
Absolutely love everything about this place, from the outside decor to the merch and of course the awesome bbq : the hoe cakes the pork, the ribs, the smoked turkey and the highlight : the BRISKET... omg yum. I didnt love the pulled pork or the chicken as much but the Alabama white sauce makes everything taste good I suspect I could eat an old shoe with that sauce. Oh they also have a huge stage for live music and a bar upstairs
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
This is our third time at Martins. The nachos have been my go-to entree and they do not disappoint. It's order at the counter but then the staff brings you the food. They are prompt and willing to bring anything extra you ask for. It has the typical bbq feel and decor. The drive thru is a nice addition. We always bring guests here and it always hits. Continue to recommend.

Yelp
I'm gonna say it... Best burger in Nashville area. GREAT BBQ (& ribs) don't get me wrong... but wow the best burger. Get it with grilled onions and a side of French fries dipped in the Alabama White Sauce. Or on a cold day dive into some Brunswick Stew. I usually skip the line and grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are always kind and they have a decent beer selection. The place itself is southern with lots of stuff to look at all over the walls. Love me some Martins!

Kristie M.

Yelp
Was very excited to go here, there were 6 of us. Catfish was awful, ribs were tough but the brisket was worse, couldn't tell you what meat I was eating as the smoke flavor so intense. I hope this is not an indication of what TN BBQ is all about.
google avatar

Chloe T.

Yelp
Martins is super consistent! This place is one of the only restaurants in Nolensville that has an easy drive thru. Ambiance is a great place to take your kids. Food is always consistent. We regularly get the Mac and cheese and green beans for the kids and they always gobble it up. My husband like the wings, but only if they're dry. If we do eat inside the restaurant we always smell like smoked meats. I like getting the turkey sandwich and having them add a little slaw, pickles, and white sauce.
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. In our group, we had brisket, pulled pork, fries, homemade chips, slaw, Mac and cheese, and the redneck taco. Everything was delicious. No knives were needed as the meats just melted in your mouth. Even the kids loved it. Service was also great. We would definitely recommend this place for some tasty BBQ.
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
They are the worst in planning their food. We arrived at 6:30 and they were out of all meats except turkey. I would say this was pretty poor planning on management. By the way this is not the first time this has happened to us. You need to go at 5 to have any chance of getting food.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Bologna sandwich for the adults. Free Moon Pies for the kiddos. Bourbon for the adults. I don't know where the kids are.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
I was there on Saturday and had a lovely pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. The food was excellent. I'd go back to try the brisket or ribs. I also had a couple of lovely pints, a NC Oktoberfest and a Saison from a TN brewery out of Maryville. The potato salad is mayonnaise based, which is my preference. If you prefer a mustard base, you're out of luck. The bbq is normally topped with slaw, but I asked for mine without. I think good pulled pork should be able to stand on its own, and this does. Good bbq joint. I'll be back.
google avatar

Graham T.

Yelp
I'm going to be brutally honest: Martin's is overrated. I'm not one for Whole Hog BBQ to start with, but the food here wasn't anything special. I used to go with my family to Martin's all the time when it was still in the location that is now Vui's. Since Martin's' migration, their menu has shrunk and grown simultaneously. They offer less signature dishes that they used to, but now offer things like fish tacos. The menu doesn't have any standout options. The service can take a little while, and for food that isn't great, I don't hesitate vetoing Martin's when someone brings it up for dinner out. It's an OK, but not at all special BBQ joint.
google avatar

Mo T.

Yelp
Great BBQ joint. i loved almost everything except the brisket and ribs. the smoked wings were the highlight of the night as well as the hot mustard sauce and the vinegar based sauce. this definitely beats back home and i'm glad i came.
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
The brisket burger was off the chain good. The sweet tea might be the best around. The food came out very fast. The hush puppy's were spot on. Lots of seating was available for everyone. Great job great food the restaurant was vibrant and clean.
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, loved the classic country music playing -- food was great! Tried the redneck taco which was perfectly balanced flavor-wise--hoecake topped with brisket, coleslaw, and bbq sauce. Fries were hot and fresh. Pecan pie was some of the best I've ever eaten.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Consistent at every location. Catered our wedding, and was a HIT! My husband is a fan of their wings. I always go for the brisket without disappointment.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
This is our favorite location for excellent barbecue! We love everything about Martin's! If you have never been, please take my advice. Go to the Nolensville location. We think it's the best one. Your clothes may smell smoky later so keep that in mind. You must try 2 of my favorites: the brisket tacos and their baked beans! OMG! So delicious! I could eat them every week! Go to Martin's! You will fall in love with their great food!

Kim F.

Yelp
Loooove the Redneck Taco! The hoecake, slaw and side of broccoli salad put the bbq over the top with such a nice balance of savory, crunchy, sharp flavor and sweet. My husband is a big fan of your ribs. Thanks for having biodegradable take out packaging.
google avatar

Eduardo P.

Yelp
Great BBQ, Family atmosphere, many choices for food. We ordered the 1/2 chicken smoked and the Big Brother. Smoked wet ribs and dry ribs were selected with a side of Mac n cheese and broccoli salad. The service was choose you food and go sit down. It was brought out to us and it was delicious.
google avatar

Shane J.

Yelp
Way way over priced for the very little amount of food. Also they keep it super cold in the eating area so your food gets cold very fast.
google avatar

Beth L.

Yelp
Was the 3rd guest through the door at 11am. Sat down at a dirty sticky table and EVERY bottle of sauce was filthy. Did everyone the night before forget to do side work? First nachos that came out was covered in cilantro after requesting it to be removed when ordered. When I finally got my nachos, there's barely any meat. Quality of Martin's has very much declined.
google avatar

Andrew F.

Yelp
This was a really fun place in Nolensville. Great vibe and friendly staff. We got the Big Poppa Special. 4 adults and 5 kids in all and we couldn't finish it. The bbq was great. Personally the dry rub ribs were way better that the ones with sauce. The other meats were great as well. If we lived locally, we would for sure go back.

Yelp
A trip to Tennessee demands a visit to one of the many BBQ restaurants. For us it was a really good choice and enjoyable meal. My wife ordered the Brisket sandwich (no pic) and I ordered the pulled pork. The pork sandwich was so good and really filled full with pork. The Brisket sandwich was delicious as well, although it came with less meat. The cornbread "hoecake" (pancake) was well... like a weird cornbread-less, uh, spicy pancake thingy. It was a very odd, spicy flat thing on my plate. If you're looking for thick BBQ sauce, don't look on the table. It may be in a jar you can purchase at the counter, but it's not on the table. The stuff on the table is tasty, but watery. Overall a really good dining experience. Minus that flat spicy thing laying lifeless & lonely on my plate will we be back? Yes, for the great pulled pork & Brisket sandwiches
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
Just average. Lots better in the area. Service friendly but not efficient. Had brisket. Moist was so fatty. Tasted like they boiled it. Green beans were cool. Probably not going back. What's with playing rap music in a BBQ place??

Gina T.

Yelp
The bbq here is amazing. Couldn't wait to bring my husband to try the brisket. He loved it! The ribs were also great!
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
My kids moved here from Oregon so we stayed a week longer after we helped move them across county. Martins is the real deal. I see it was a triple D place. On my first trip I got the bbq sampler w pulled pork, brisket, chicken and ribs. All of it was excellent. Fries are awesome double fried style. Baked beans were really good and had chunks of pork. My second trip here I got the 6 bone spare rib dinner. Huge portion of perfectly done ribs. I got the baked beans and hush puppies as sides. The best thing about Martins you ask? You can get the southern staple RC cola and Moon Pies here. The Moon Pies are free!
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Once again no ribs, chicken, or brisket at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. We drive 45 minutes to this place just to leave no matter what location in our experience.
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
I want to say a HUGE thank-you to Andrew! He went out of his way to drive to my house with the BBQ sauce that was left out of our to-go order!!! Now that's service!! Oh...and the food is always really, really awesome!

Yelp
I've lived in the Middle Tennessee area for 12 years and Martin's will always have a special place in my heart and stomach. The Nolensville location has moved a few times and has grown considerably, even across Tennessee borders. Martin's has a lot of good items on their menu and I've tried most of them but the item I keep going back to is their spare ribs. Martin's is the only barbecue place that I know of in Middle Tennessee that serves their spare ribs whole... Meaning it's not trimmed aka St. Louis style. Now some of you may be asking, what is that? When you trim spare ribs, you are removing the cartilage, little bones, and connective tissue. Now I bet some of you are gagging but let me tell you something. Those rib tips that are intact are fatty, juicy, and yes, crunchy. I will straight up devour that whole chunk of cartilage. It's like dessert to me. Meat dessert. I sometimes interchange getting them wet (with sauce) or dry (with a dry rub). Honestly I think the dry tastes the best. Their fries are some of the best you'll have. Reminds me a lot of the kind you get at Five Guys or Penn Station. They are mix of soft/chewy and hard/crispy. I absolutely adore these kinds of fries. Last but not least, their Brunswick stew is a hearty, meaty, tomato-based stew chock-full of beans and vegetables. Think vegetable soup on steroids (with meat). If that sounds good, you'll love it. My mouth is watering just thinking about Martin's as I write this. Barbecue has grown considerably in Middle Tennessee over the past decade and there are several noteworthy spots. But if you haven't had Martin's, you owe it to yourself to at least try one of the OGs of barbecue in Nashville.

Yelp
Best Bar-B-Que food for the money that you paid. Fresh products. Their staff are very friendly. Great ambiance.
google avatar

Amada P.

Yelp
Sometimes they run out of certain dishes but overall, everything on the menu is good.
google avatar

Kayla Z.

Yelp
So good! Get the brisket! Sides were okay but the bbq meat and sauces were very good!
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Read the reviews and it looked amazing! We were not disappointed!! We opted for the catfish and brisket tacos because the other options were huge. Green beans and macaroni and cheese were the best. We'll be back.
google avatar

Elaine K.

Yelp
food was amazing. service very friendly. would go back again try the pork sandwich unbelievable. Excellent broccoli salad.

Yelp
During the end of Nashville's snow storm, I was craving some bbq after getting off work (yes my job still had us driving in the ice and snow). Anyways, I used my handy dandy Yelp app to find some great BBQ choices near me and I saw Martin's pop up. I've lived in Nashville for almost 4 years now, and I've never had it before. Big mistake on my end, but I fixed it this year! Pictured is the brisket tacos, which were A1. No complaints, the meat was juicy and 2 tacos and sides were just enough to fill me up. The mac and cheese and baked beans were soooo good. In fact, I ended up getting Martin's twice that weekend (I got the smoked wings my second visit. I highly recommend them too). Martin's will now be a place I visit on the regular. Thank you for the great food!
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
I love the fat on brisket at Martin's Bar-B-Que! This place is one of my 3 most favorite places to get BBQ in all of Tennessee even though it's a chain. They do a great job smoking that Brisket and I am a huge Texas style brisket fan. If the place doesn't have brisket, I'm not going.
google avatar

B C.

Yelp
Great nashville bbq original. Great service and one of my favorite spots. Definitely recommend the Nolensville location the best.

Jordan T.

Yelp
Over Priced. High Fructose Corn Syrup. And yes, the food tastes excellent. You can get brisket cheaper, and sauces made with real ingredients elsewhere. It is like $25 for a brisket plate. If I am paying $25, I would at least like some real BBQ sauce. Sure it tastes good, but at what price? The expense of your arteries and organs. I am pretty sure it is the only brisket in Nolensville, so I'll still eat there. The people are nice and the service is good. There has only been one time where they did not add the coleslaw that I believe comes with the brisket sandwich at no charge. Perhaps they could market themselves as a quality BBQ because the setup is nice inside. However, they can't say they are high quality without using real ingredients in their sauces. I think Martin's just blew up a long time ago because it was on a TV show and just used the publicity to market themselves as high end BBQ. This allowed them to raise the prices because the perception was there. In reality, it is some cheap (In terms of quality of ingredients), good tasting, and expensive BBQ.
google avatar

Viet D.

Yelp
My husband is from texas so I normally eat Texas bbq- after Martin's I can say Tennessee bbq beats texas bbq hands down! These were the best ribs I've ever had- so juicy and meaty! Sauces were amazing! Brisket was also very good. Sides were meh- but I wasn't there for the sides! Staff was so friendly!

Johnathan B.

Yelp
Visiting from California, Martin's was recommended by local friends in Franklin. My wife and I loved our food, the service was friendly and attentive, and it hit the BBQ spot that we needed. I enjoyed the ribs, half/half sauce and dry rub and preferred the dry rub. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and delicious. The hush puppies were the best I have ever had! The restaurant has a great ambiance with decor that really sets the mood for this Barbecue joint!
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
Came here for an early dinner on Sunday night and left so full it was almost painful. Their portions are huge - I was dumb and got the half rack of ribs (thinking 4 ribs wouldn't be enough) which comes with two sides...easily could have fed 2 people. The ribs were very tender and flavorful; at the recommendation of the cashier I got them half-dry and half-wet and ended up preferring the dry ones because of the intense flavors being able to shine through. As for sides I got their amazing potato salad (maybe the best I have ever had?) and their mac'n'cheese (also delicious). All in all, an excellent meal with very quick and friendly service.
google avatar

Carlos P.

Yelp
Family loves the kid tenders. The service is hit or miss. The vibe is cool. Over all the food is ok. The drive thru can take long, but your order is made fresh.
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
This place is really just alright. Looking at the reviews, the special item in this place is the redneck taco, which is cornbread as the tortilla topped with pulled pork. I chose the suggested sauce and Alabama White, which give a nice distinct flavor profile that complements the pork. There is a nice smoky flavor even without the sauce, but the biggest complaint for me is that even with the sauce, the meat is way too dry. Other reviews complain about it being too soggy, with my order way too dry; they really need to find the right balance and be consistent. There are plenty of other solid BBQ places around Nashville, so I will pass on this the next time I am craving BBQ.

Janet B.

Yelp
Great food and service-food is always consistent and friendly staff!-good bar atmosphere
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Food was very tasty!! The burgers were large and had good flavor as well as the pork. Our family enjoyed the Mac n cheese and baked beans. A good find and the staff was friendly.
google avatar

Cosimo D.

Yelp
The food is great, but the service is the best! Whenever I go to a new restaurant, particularly when the restaurant is out-of-state, I order WAAAAAAAY too much food. There is just something inside of me, begging to be filled (stuffed?) with new flavors, and the only way to get rid of that feeling is to actually eat until I can't walk. Martin's did NOT disappoint. During my visit I ordered the Big Poppa Sampler, which consisted of a full rack of ribs, 12 ounces of pork and another 12 of brisket, PLUS 12 ounces of turkey. On top of all of that protein you get a choice of 3 sides. I had the Mac & Cheese, Hushpuppies, and Fries. All of this costs somewhere around $95-100 (I don't remember the exact price), but it wasn't enough. Because I had to try more, I also ordered the Fried Catfish with Green Beans & Baked Beans, and finished it off with their Pecan Pie. NO, I did NOT eat it all at once. I was in town for 5 days, renting an amazing AirBnb, so I refrigerated the food, indulging in my leftovers the entire remaining days of my trip to Nashville. With multiple locations to enjoy I would certainly go again when I'm in the area. Check out the photo of the hat I purchased there, which is my new motto.
google avatar

Ray R.

Yelp
We wanted to try something new and that was midpoint to meet up with some friends so we chose Martin's. The place was busy and a little chaotic but the food was amazing. The service well, you order at the counter and than they try to find you in the crowd. They forgot at least one item on each of our orders which was dissatisfying but the flavor was good. As to the price it's a bit higher than most other BBQ joints. But hey we are all getting used to the higher prices these days, it's kinda the new norm.... Just check your order for accuracy and ensure you got what you paid for and if you did. I'm sure you will enjoy the food as much as we did.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is wonderful. Four ladies out to lunch and of the four ladies, only one lady got the completely correct order. Fun place though.
