Went to MARU for omakase and had such a lovely evening. The space feels calm and intimate — clean, warm lighting, and the kind of atmosphere where you can actually relax and enjoy each course without feeling rushed. The chefs were genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, explaining the ingredients and techniques in a really natural way. It made the whole experience feel personal and exclusive. Food-wise, everything tasted very high quality and thoughtfully put together. The dry-aged tuna had incredible depth, the scallop and hamachi were super clean and fresh, and the toro was rich without being heavy. A couple of standout surprises were the eel tempura and the monkfish nanban sando — both comforting but still refined. Finished with a refreshing mikan shaved ice, which was the perfect ending. Overall, great service, great vibe, and food that really speaks for itself. I’d happily come back!!!!!

I had an amazing omakase experience at Maru London. The 19-course menu was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully crafted, and you really do leave feeling full and satisfied. The whole dining experience was exceptional. One detail I loved was that before the meal, we were invited to choose our own chopsticks, which we could take home afterward. It’s such a thoughtful touch and made the evening feel even more special. With only nine seats, the atmosphere feels very exclusive. The head chef is not only skilled but also handsome and genuinely funny, and the sous chef is equally great. They create the perfect balance — making you feel comfortable even if you dine alone, while never interrupting the dining experience. A truly memorable and unique omakase. Highly, highly recommend!

Been here regularly since it was opened, always one of the best omakase in London. Yesterday we had the special Christmas omakase with festive decorative touches, the flavoursome aged fish, red prawns, langoustine, Icelandic sea urchin, wagyu sando, I am still salivating while writing this :) Service was attentive and as usual it never disappoints! The chef is really funny and he interacts with the customers, to add to the fun of an intimate counter experience.

First omakase experience with Maru at London! Went during lunch on a Saturday noon. The omakase was thoughtfully curated, with each course well-balanced and beautifully presented. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the pacing of the meal felt just right. You can really taste the care and precision that went into every dish. The atmosphere was calm and intimate, and the chef’s interaction added a nice personal touch to the experience. The only downside was the dessert - a bit disappointing and quite boring compared to the rest of the meal. It was just a shaved ice and Mont Blanc, tastes utterly average. Still, a really solid omakase overall and definitely worth trying if you appreciate quality sushi and attention to detail.

Huge compliments to the chef! The food itself was already excellent, but what really made the experience stand out was the chef’s interaction with the guests and his genuine passion and dedication to the food. The pricing is reasonable and the overall experience was wonderful. Definitely a place I would love to come back to again!

DON'T THINK - JUST BOOK!! I honestly don’t have the words to do this 18-course omakase justice. We came for my girlfriend’s birthday (Saturday lunch), and from the moment we arrived it felt special. They were incredibly accommodating with dietary requirements. we mentioned it as we walked in and the team immediately adjusted several courses, even substituting different fish without any fuss. That level of flexibility and care really stood out. The food itself was exceptional. Every course was beautifully judged and unforgettable: rich fatty tuna and delicate lean cuts, outstanding Scottish scallops, Welsh uni, and tuna from Spain — each ingredient showcased at its absolute best. It’s rare to be genuinely lost for words, but this was one of those meals. Service was impeccable throughout: warm, polished, and highly professional. Each course was thoughtfully explained, which only added to the experience. The room is intimate without being showy — elegant, refined, and perfectly balanced. Nothing feels forced or ostentatious, just quietly excellent. Thank you for making it such a memorable and special day. We’ll be talking about this meal for a long time!!!

I visited Maru alone, and it turned out to be the best sushi experience I’ve had in London. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, and every course in the omakase was beautifully crafted. The tea pairing matched perfectly with the dishes and elevated the whole meal. I found the experience truly worth the price and would highly recommend it.
