14 Stellar Spots to Sip Wine in Vancouver and Clark County, Washington | Eater Portland

"Maryhill was the first Columbia River Gorge winery to open a tasting room on the Vancouver Waterfront, snapping up the largest and best spot right on the water. In the tasting room’s spacious indoor or outdoor areas, visitors can sip some of Maryhill’s most popular wines, often leaning on Italian and French varietals — the winery’s high-scoring 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, a rich and jammy number with notes of brambleberry and chocolate, relies on Columbia Valley grapes aged for 20 months in 50 percent new French oak. The tasting room’s kitchen churns out pizzas, snacks, and seafood dishes like steamer clams in Maryhill white wine, Dungeness crab cakes with lemon aioli, and shrimp cocktail." - Rachel Pinsky

The wine tasting is a lot of fun and the servers are extremely friendly and accommodating- loved it! One glitch though- I ordered a special food dish that sounded amazing with wine, but it never came. The waitress evidently didn’t enter it (??) although I watched her enter my order on a tablet. Probably the special was all out. I was so looking forward to dinner with their wine! I hope they offer me a nice alternative for food and pairing with the wine I order next time. That would be better than no dinner. Thanks anyway! There is always something to learn when a glitch happens.

Google
Review based on customer service. I have been in several times and wanted to join the club today. The waitress barely checked in on us, was very short when we asked questions, treated us like something was wrong with our group. Had to flag her down when our flights were empty to order a bottle for the table. Had to flag her down again to ask her about purchasing some bottles. Had to flag her down again to order the bottles and ask about joining the club. Overall the wine is good, view is great, good is good but the customer service is lacking. There was 3 of us, and we spent a good amount of money but had to be our own sales people.

Google
Very nice experience on the patio. Competent courteous service from Anthony. I highly recommend the 2020 cab and charcuterie plate, it pairs nicely with the view !

Google
The winery we visited was utterly charming, and the servers were quite amicable. Although the locale was bustling with patrons, necessitating that we stand throughout our visit, we didn't mind. On the bright side, we did return home with a box of delectable chocolates and sparkling wine, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Google
I had my very first wine tasting here with my boyfriend and his family. It was very pleasant and they had some dark chocolate truffles of various flavors to cleanse the palate with, I recommend the dark chocolate lavender truffles personally. The wines were very full bodied and flavorful and I Even bought a bottle to take home. I absolutely recommend going here not only for the wine, but also the beautiful scenery!

Remember to look in your backyard in case you can't make it to Eastern Washington vineyards. The fact that the Maryhill tasting room is on the waterfront, with convenient parking, beautiful views, and relaxing boardwalk & beach paths, makes it an enticing, casual, and easy way to find the right pairings for your dinners, parties, or gifts before commiting. The staff is very knowledgable, can help with specific food pairings, and ideas for desserts too. It's not for nerds only; they had live music on a Wednesday night, and plenty of seating options for members and non-members. Bring your palate to learn, experience, relax, socialize, or All of the Above. Feedback regarding charcuterie tray; ask what's included, and ask if they can add or replace with specific foods for your tasting or flight. The wines have tasting notes to give you hints. I need to find out what the local Battle Ground honey, with a spicy finish, was! I can't remember. I wish the tasting room would sell it, or other hard-to-find food pairings. Hint to wine lovers that prefer quiet when tasting; weeknights are best. By Friday or Saturday the place gets packed!

We were there several times over holidays. We hosted a client event, came out for the Christmas ships and celebrated birthdays. Always greeted with a smile, and because we are members it has its perks, special seating in member room, and complimentary glass of wine for myself & 4 guest every day! It’s definitely worth membership, especially if you’d like to entertain and enjoy wine. I love when I get Taylor, to take care of us, just a bundle of joy, and full of cheer!! Totally recommend Maryhill, summers on the patio watching the water or winter inside with music on Wednesdays. A quick after work on Waterfront, Happy Hour with friends, amazing appetizers to share, love the bread/brie or a full meal, recommend the pasta or chicken salad.

Google
Great wine tasting and charcuterie board pairing. We also tried desserts that paired well with the wines. They had a great deal where if you buy a certain amount of wine, the tasting cost is waived.

Yelp
Great view and service- will be back. Have recommended to friends and family. Prices are great and they change the menu monthly

Yelp
The food was delicious! Three of us dined at the restaurant last night. My daughter ordered the hummus. I ordered the walnut salad (half portion) and cup of chowder. My daughter's mother-in-law ordered the shrimp fettuccine. Service was wonderful. Lizzie was our main server. She explained how the wine club works. She also went through all of the wines we could taste. I forgot the other young lady's name who also helped us. She was also very helpful and friendly. The ambience was lovely. We all agreed that the cabernet sauvignon was the best, from all the wines we tasted. It's circled in one of the pictures I posted. Basically, we had sides with our wine. We will definitely be back. CHEERS!

Yelp
First off most of the bad reviews are from a few years ago when this spot first opened. Don't let that keep you away. Maryhill Vancouver always has a solid offering of wines at various price points. We love the view along the river and the service has been great! Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is perfect for what we want and expect from a spot like this. Wife is vegetarian and there have been plenty of options for her as well! The pairings were well explained as the wait staff helped match our meals to the wines we were enjoying! We usually land at this spot a few times a month especially during this last summer!

Yelp
The location is fantastic. The patio and the view of the waterfront are amazing. Coming in we got the cold shoulder from the trainee at the front desk. Backup finally came from the patio and we were able to get a great table. The setup on the patio is less than stellar. On the tastings, you get tiny pours and have to go to the counter to get your next one. If I wanted self serve, I could stay home. The wines weren't what I am looking for. We found one out of the seven that was worth having a second time. The charcuterie board was the best part of the visit. The cheeses and meats were fantastic! I would come back for that and the patio!

Yelp
I will start by saying I like wine but don't consider myself an expert on the subject. That said, I know what I like and their wines have never disappointed. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and the staff have been consistent, friendly, and helpful. The food is tasty paired with the wine and there are options from palate cleanser and light snack to entree and dessert. The patio location is hard to beat, as it's at the end of the developed part of the Vancouver waterfront. If you like their wines and regularly open a bottle or two at home, I think the Wine Club is a good value. Look up the details and compare to others to decide for yourself.

Yelp
Oh boy...where to begin... This is one of the toughest reviews I've ever written in that the good wouldn't have had to have been done were it not for an egregious and frankly inexcusable food quality control issue. I came here to see a band, and was immediately greeted (?) by a hostess behind a podium asking, "Can I help you?" This was just weird. She informed me that I could, "do a flight or buy bottles", neither of which I wanted to do. I informed her that I was there to see the band and get some food, at which point she told me it was open seating and handed me a food menu. She told me I could place my order at the bar. This also seemed a bit odd...for this place being as expensive as it is, table service would seem to be the least they could do. Everything here is EXPENSIVE (ridiculously expensive), especially in light of the uniformly TINY portion sizes. For examples, a less than 12-ounce can of blood orange San Pellegrino cost $4, and it was $19 for a small appetizer-size portion of linguine with shrimp, and $8.00 for for a small order of (quite literally stale and nasty) bread. The pasta was undeniably delicious, even though it was slightly overcooked. For the price charged, it had better be, though. The bread was very old, and very stale. The first presented to me was, well, let's just say, visibly well past its prime and should have been discarded probably a couple days before (based on the visible "organic growth", shall we say). I brought this to the attention of the person who brought my food to the table, and it was replaced with a slightly fresher portion, with an apology from who brought it to me and advice that they'd comp it for me (which they did). They did a great job of addressing this mishap, but it just shouldn't have happened in the first place. Aside from that, the interior is clean, modern, bright, and inviting. If you're into wine, their selection is very large. If you come here, I'd recommend coming just for the wine. Don't bother with their overpriced and undersized food portions (and go to some of the other excellent restaurants in the same shopping center). Be prepared to do a lot of your own footwork in ordering, and be prepared to be treated to essentially a sales pitch as soon as you arrive.

Yelp
This is definitely a Tasting Room and not a restaurant so make sure to have the right expectations. Even though it's on the gorgeous Vancouver, WA, waterfront with a dozen restaurants, that is not the experience you will get here. Like their tasting room in Goldendale, Washington, and other vineyards in Willamette Valley, Walla Walla and Hood River, it's about tasting and enjoying the wine with casual food, small plates, like charcuterie boards, dips, baked Brie and sandwiches to accompany the wine. .p I'm a fan of Marynill wines, particularly the bolder reds Like their Cabernet Sauvignon and particularly their Cabernet Franc. Robust, jammy with the right balance of tannins, I enjoy them with meals or on their own. Tasting flights here are $25 which goes towards the purchase of a bottle of $30 or more. Do the tasting, then order a bottle to drink there along with a charcuterie and a spectacular view of the Columbia River. Afterwards, go to one of the many restaurants for dinner or a walk along the waterfront, particularly beautiful dueing sunset. Maryhill Tasting Room is a great place to meet friends after work for happy hour, a first date or anytime.

Yelp
One of Maryhill's unique locations. Right on the river walk in Vancouver. This is a great location. Must pay to park. Good food menu and great wines. Old bar feel inside and nice outdoor patio for summertime sun. Restaurants and wineries nearby.

Yelp
We came in Saturday evening to pickup our wine. Decided to stay for a tasting because wine is delicious. They were very short staffed, and warned us the wait could be a while. It was only about 10 min, and we were not in a hurry anyway. As members, we were seated in the back room, and could not have had better service. Even though they were very busy, our server took her time with each table and made us feel welcome. As we were picking up our wine to leave, they apologized again for being short staffed, and I told him everything was perfect and there was nothing to apologize for. It is a beautiful location, great wine, yummy bites, and the service is incredible.

Yelp
I went with a friend who is a member at Maryhill winery. The perk is as a member she can go everyday with two guests - what a deal! We enjoyed a crisp white and since I am not a wine expert I forgot to take a pic of what I drank, but it was refreshing and lovely. I ordered the white bean purée and my friend ordered a green salad with chicken. Our food arrived and her salad was missing the chicken. After 20-25 minutes it finally arrived and they comped the salad since she was almost half way done. The white bean purée came with pita and veggies. The cucumber was cut too large. The carrots were also a bit oversized, as I prefer smaller cut veggies. The outdoor seating was pleasant, with a retractable awning to shade from the sun. We enjoyed people watching and we were able to enjoy the water views for hours. Lots of indoor seating and products/wine for purchase.

Yelp
beautiful location! They have the perfect view of the water. a small food menu and along list of very delicious wine! if you but a bottle they waive the flight fee. plus chocolates! build our own custom box.

Yelp
I will preface this by saying that we have been members for 1-2 years. We joined because the venue is great for bringing out-of-town guests, the wine is good and reasonably priced and members get discounted food prices on Tuesdays. We have eaten here maybe 20 times over the last year or 2. Everything on the menu is pretty good but not exceptional 4/5. Unfortunately, the food is pricey for what you get. Inflation, worker shortages, food shortages and the pandemic all contribute to the high food prices but $20 for a chicken sandwich? The cheese and meat tray options are good choices as far as value. The Chicken Caesar and hummus plate are also a good choice and not too pricey. Service is good, but we are members. The wine is good across most varietals and reasonably priced. High end wine is really expensive, $50-100/bottle. Wine here is $15-40/bottle. If you can afford it, being a member here is the way to go. They have a separate tasting room for members and service is very good. It was sad to read other Yelp reviews that non-members may not receive the same service and less outdoor seating options as members. I will speak to the management about that issue. Other than that, we love coming here.

Yelp
Finally made it to Maryhill after seeing the tasting room almost everyday on our walks. The space is huge and there is both indoor and outdoor seating ,with a seperate tasting room for members .We chose to sit out as it was a gorgeous day and one can never get enough of the waterfront views . They have two tasting flights and surprisingly the difference is that in one they serve you on your seat and the other one you come back to the bar to get the drinks . I found this obnoxious and chose the slightly cheaper option because lets be honest even if the staff does zero work , the expectation is to still tip 20%. I understand that the severs did not make this rule yet its still unfair to customers . The place and wines both are expensive and the least you can do is table service !!! The sommelier helping us was sweet and talked about the wines a little bit but the second time I went back there was a new girl who knew nothing about the wines or how drinks are poured . It felt like she was on a mission to pour as less as possible and it wasnt even enough to understand how the wine tasted . This really pissed me off . I asked her a few questions about the wine and she was clueless . I had all intentions to get another glass and some food and spend more time but the absurd service was enough for me to close my tab and go to another winery within a few steps away , where I had a much better experience and service.

Yelp
Moved in a block away a few months ago and made this a regular stop on my weekends. Always had great service but most recently, came in on a Friday night, the energy and vibe was lively and positive. Kudos to Taylor, crushed the service game and single handedly proved to me to become a member and I would not regret it. Done deal and now I get all the benefits of this exceptional wine and establishment has to offer. Excellent job Taylor and you are a true asset to this place. Carmine (my 4 legged son) and myself say Thanks Taylor!

Yelp
Some tasty food, excellent wine and a great crew that will take good care of you!! All of this with a wonderful river view!!

Yelp
My experience here was as expected I guess. The guy we were talking to there was really friendly and we enjoyed talking with him. The wine though to us was mediocre and we taste a lot of wine! The whites were interesting to be fair and others were intriguing but for the price point we've had better. It was a a nice spacious tasting room not in an area where the masses come so I didn't have high expectations for the winery here. I was surprised at the end of the tasting when we came up to the counter to taste that they ask for a tip. I didn't want tip them for a tip isn't customary for a tasting but I did. I didn't like that the question was even asked. We didn't order food It anything and brought our glasses back to the counter. It was an ok experience but I wouldn't come here again.

Yelp
Vancouver, Wa has done something Portland has not, and that's invest in a river walkway with restaurants and bars surrounded by low income housing. Ok, the last part was sarcasm/snarky, but at least Washington has stepped up. We decided to head to Maryhill Tasting Room to do what we do best, drink wine with friends and talk sh*t about world affairs. We decided to each get the wine flights (*not the best decision, more on this later) I also had the Caesar salad with crab, yes to this for sure, very well done and a generous serving too. I also had to have the friggin crab cake, because I'm a sucker for crab cakes. This one was a big miss at this price point, and lack of crab, I would pass on this one again. I also had some bread with oil and vinegar with garlic and basil, not bad, but I prefer EVOO.. this would be a maybe next time order. But it's about the wine right? ok, back to that, I wasn't blown away by the selected wines, but I'm picky kinda dude. I did like the Syrah ! it was well balanced and paired well with spicy foods. *Ok, unless you're in Elon Musk's tax bracket try doing this, share a wine flight then purchase a bottle or two (wink) this will erase the flight cost of 20 bucks, so that Syrah I was talking about that's $44 is now, $22, see how this works.. Service gets killed here on Yelp, look it's a very hard job to wait in this setting, the clientele is picky as hell and can be demanding, not me though. The physical part of having to move the flights off of tables and put food and at the same time open bottles of wine can be a challenge even for the best of them. Be kind, be patient, remember lots of the staff have been going through the pandemic too. Our server was very nice and offered us advice as well as a smile in the middle of the demands of the night. One thing that I didn't like nor understand is, they don't let you sit outside on the patio while wine tasting. Not sure why, maybe they'll respond to this question.. All and all, I'll be back and will take my own advice. Being together with friends again is worth anything to me. Salute.

Yelp
I have to go fly in a few hours, so I can't drink the wine, so I'll post this review in 2 parts. The first part is just for the establishment and staff. I'll post part 2 for the wine after I get back home and taste it. Part One: This is new and very beautiful tasting room. Outside of California, this is the nicest one I've seen. Additionally, they have a large, heated patio that overlooks the river. It's very inviting. Inside, they offer flights and bottles of wine to taste or take. They also offer small bites that look tasty. I just ate, so I couldn't tell you about flavor. I'm here for the wine, though. I'm here during the day, but I can only imagine how much fun this would be with my wife on a nice evening. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They are also proud of the wines they sell, which is.a good sign. I didn't see any winos lying around, but that's probably because this wine is not cheap, and they have a tasting room to pay for. Overall, this is a great, new take on what a tasting room should be. Kudos to previous Yelp posts by other people that led me here. Stay tuned for Part 2.

Yelp
Gracious lunch on the patio with heaters aimed at us. After 2 hours, we still got cold but enjoyed a generous Caesar salad with hot grilled chicken and a delicious Cabernet to warm us during COVID shut down in mid December. Glad Maryhlll was open so I could catch up with my sister, who was traveling through the area. I know she will be back on a warmer, post COVID day, and we will celebrate here. The limited service was warm, professional and abided by standard protocols. I truly look forward to better times for all of us.

Natalie M.

Yelp
Small menu but good food, service, and relaxing ambiance. We go all the time and enjoy the wine and view of the river.

Yelp
After reading the reviews I thought I would share my experience. First off, most people leaving "bad" reviews do not understand that Maryhill Winery & Bistro is still a winery... not a restaurant. The sit down area for food service is for members only. Otherwise, you will need to got to the bar area to order food. If you join the membership, you can literally bring a party of 4 and everyone will get a free 10-12 tasting flight of wine every visit... that is right... once, every single freaking day. I am an entrepreneur and this benefit is definitely why I joined. I have received enormous amounts of referrals that have turned into a profit for me so the membership fee has paid for itself and then some. Who doesn't want to settle a contract over a free flight of wine? If you understand business, then you know "Free Wine" comes with a price. I'm not a genius but that is probably why their food is priced the way it is. Second, I take my out of town guests here all the time and they are impressed with how well the staff treats me. Sure, I am a regular but all the servers know me by name and I know them. Tony, Anthony, Britney, Taylor, Emily, Lizzy, are hardworking, knowledgeable and friendly. The team always seem to go above and beyond for me. I even had a server give me tickets to see a Blazers game. I know the TB suck this year but still... super rad! Third, Maryhill Winery & Bistro is located right on new and improved Vancouver Water Front. I like to call it the Vegas of PNW. From the outside seating, you have access to the walkway and can even make your way up to mckmenamins if you wanted to. They have live music, membership dinners and on occasion, free fancy chocolate tastings that pair specifically with each wine sample. Lastly, the freaking view. Seriously! I've been living here 11years and the rain sux. This view makes the rain suck less. To sum it all up, if you are a wine enthusiast and would like somewhere to go to make you feel welcome, then become a member at Maryhill Vancouver. Its the place to be. Quick tip - Parking on the side roads in Downtown Vancouver is free after 6pm M-F and anytime on Sat/Sun. Free wine, Free parking. Free view. FU :) N

Yelp
I was on a written trip and decided to do a wine tasting. This place was really nice, and I like the fact that it have such a variety fit the flight. There was only one I didn't enjoy, which basically everyone I was with dislike the same one. It was $20 for the flight which wasn't too bad. I do think the could have poured just a tad more. And I didn't like that the charcuterie board came out on a plate. Just didn't seen right..lol The hummus was just on. It didn't state the flavor but I assumed it was red pepper although it was a bit flavorless. The bread and the herb and oil mixture fit doing the bread was really good with a bit of spice to it. I would definen go back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
We absolutely love their wines. Growing up in the Willamette Valley, I obviously enjoy good wines! My husband and I agree that Maryhill has the most wines on their venue that we both enjoy. Typically, we wine taste and find a few gems at some wineries, however, Maryhill offers an excellent variety and selection of palatable wines. We eagerly joined their pre minimum club and have b en thankful for making that decision. The vineyard/winery in Goldendale is beautiful, breathtaking, and 100% relaxing and enjoyable. The Vancouver tasting room is usually spot-on. This evening we visited and it was less enjoyable. I was basically "schooled" by a 20 something about how it was perfectly acceptable and a wine tasting standard to get up and order your own food at the tasting bar while seated in the restaurant portion of the establishment. I appreciate your knowledgeable condensation. It was extremely off putting. Like I said, we absolutely love their wines, but their cuisine offerings are NOT remarkable enough to accept the air of importance the hostess provided us this evening. I've been in the food industry since I was 15 years old. I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley. It is most certainly NOT typical to be cafeteria style service.

Steve S.

Yelp
We waited 15 minutes for someone to notice we were there. Then $35 per person tastings, no info on the wines was given, they just plopped a wooden rack on the table and left. (So why is the table tasting $5 more than the bar tasting? It's the Same amount of work). After $70 and no attention at all from the staff we left. Very overpriced experience I remember when wine tastings were fun and reasonably cheap. Sigh.
google avatar

Richie W.

Yelp
Beautiful location and great views of the river. The wines are not very good. We did the 7 wine tasting and had trouble getting though to the end. We actually skipped the last red since the other were so bad.

Yelp
Not sure what happened but my girlfriend has been to this place five times and this is my first experience. In her words, she says I have never had such a bad experience here ever. You don't get table service and must go to the bar to get each tastings instead of the rainbow shaped multi little glass tastings that you get at your table so you don't have to wait or get up. And I'm not sure who taught our girl that was handling us that it's okay to lie but she didn't put in our food order and she should've just admitted it but instead made some story up about some big order coming in between us and it wasn't true as there was no cook in the kitchen ... she bold face lied to us ... I will never go here again. And in addition to become a member you have to buy 36 bottles a year ...who does that? I guess they have to pay for their location someway.

Linda R.

Yelp
Don't go if you are a senior or a solo female. After a cold "may I help you"? I was flatly referred to either the bar or the table area. Though only two tables were occupied at this early afternoon time, my only choice of table was one with tall bar chairs which was not comfortable, but I managed. I looked at the menu which indicated food service; and was looking forward to the "flight" but after 20 minutes of being ignored, I left. I went on to spend several hundred dollars elsewhere. It was a very disappointing experience at the Vancouver location. I have, in the past, had a great time at the Spokane location.
google avatar

Adrian M.

Yelp
Emily, Andrea, Trisha were beyond kind. Food was amazing. The experience was very pleasant. If you want a calm relax and positive environment with amazing food. This place is for you. My fat ass ate to quick so forgive the half eaten food for the photo.

Yelp
Maryhill wines are always really good, having a tasting room so close to Portland is even better. Add in the option of ordering actual food, sitting down, outdoor patio with a view of the river along with occasional live music and I'm a fan. The inside is really laid out nice and open, and there's a dedicated room for wine club members (and a dedicated part of the outdoor patio for wine club members as well). Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
Walking up to the newly refurbished Vancouver waterfront, it's easy to to get your hopes up - visions of enjoying wine tasting on a sunny, breezy day on the Columbia river. And then you walk into Maryhill, where you are informed that no wine tasting is allowed outdoors. If you have small children here's what this means: little ones whining and begging for snacks and entertainment in a completely un-kid friendly setting while you try to rush as quickly as possible through a tasting, because you can't even order food at the tasting bar. We ordered a bottle we liked, paid at the bar and headed outside for lunch. When we tried to sit down, we were told that table - and all of the riverfront tables - were for MEMBERS ONLY. Guess how many members were sitting at those 12 tables? Zero. Ok, so we walked around the corner where the rest of the non-members were crowded into a few less desirable tables- but, you can still see the water. Except- oh wait- there's no table service. No table service- no problem, I walked up to the hostess/ bar area... and waited for a good 15 minutes for anyone to make eye contact with me. When they did, it was to tell me they'd been "dealing with a situation" in a harried voice and would help me in a moment. I watched the staff bus tables that there was no pressure to turn over - no one waiting- while I waited to beg for some food and drinks. And then it started to rain. And the nonmembers tables? No canopy. My husband sought out a server (while I gathered up our kids & belongings) and was told they'd have to "check with the manager" to see if it was OK for the nonmembers to sit at a table that wasn't getting rained on. A few minutes later, we were allowed to sit at one of the many empty tables. The Caesar salad with shrimp was delicious, and eventually we enjoyed a few moments enjoying food, wine and the view. The 2 stars are for the quality of the of the food, wine and setting. The staff tried their best, but they are operating within a set of rules that will continue to disappoint and confound future customers. Vancouver needs places like Maryhill for its rejuvenation - I truly hope the owners work out the kinks with more of a focus on customer service and a welcoming atmosphere for all. Postscript - I later learned I was charged twice for that bottle of wine I purchased. So far no one has returned my call asking to resolve the duplicate charge.

Yelp
Where to begin? I guess, when you make almost a million bottles a year, you don't really need to be customer service centered, although, the majority of your wine should be above average. Zero greeting. Zero 'this is how it works' spiel (as far as tastings, flights, etc). Pay up front before you taste (regardless of if you want to purchase or not) and guess from there. Spots on the glasses, both water and wine. As a service industry person, I get a sense that the powers-that-be clearly have forgotten where and how they started. About seven wines tasted, 3 worth writing about. Only game in town...for now. The waterfront is amazing. Completion will bring quite a few more spots to enjoy amazing Washington and Oregon wine. I look forward to those. In the meantime, there is great wine to be had 20 minutes south!

Yelp
I went here on a Monday night recently and loved seeing this new space! The views are beautiful and the waterfront is such a happening place in Vancouver. I ordered the charcuterie plate and was not disappointed. I loved all of the cheeses and jams and salty nuts. I even liked the pate. My only complaint was the service was incredibly slow. It took 25 minutes for my plate to come out. I am sure that they were short staffed. Still a lovely adventure. :)

Yelp
Babe please to get some food and try some awesome wine from MaryHill winery. They got live music on Saturday night. Then the wine tasting flights are only $15 in free if you're already a member. Great place to pick up a killer case of wine to take home with you or drink out on the patio. I will always come back here. And the service is really good as well.

Yelp
I had a somewhat of a pleasant experience at Maryhill Tasting Room located on the Vancouver waterfront. We sat out on the patio looking out at the River. It was cool in the evening so they had heaters on up top. We did not eat any food and just split a bottle of wine we had purchased. Although I was really bummed about not being able to purchase a wine I really wanted unless you purchased their membership, I will be back to visit this place again as the location is great.

Yelp
Great wines, food and service. My friends and I went on a Saturday and they were super busy. It was about an hour wait. We ordered the flight for the day which comes on a tray with all the tastings. It was nice to be able to go at your own pace. You need to order the sizzling shrimp! So good. Paired well with the Rose. I would've joined the wine club, but there is a joining fee. I have had several wine club memberships in Sonoma, Napa and Washington and this is the first winery that I've come across who charges.

Yelp
Cool spot, right on the water. Patio seating. Food, piano music. What's not to like. Only been open a couple weeks

Yelp
I don't normally use this platform to complain, and I love supporting my favorite businesses in the PNW, but I am upset about how my wine club membership was handled. We signed up for a wine club membership towards the end of last year (2019), knowing we would be charged quarterly and the first shipment would the first one of this year (2020). We were charged at some point in February and then were supposed to go pick up the shipment. Well, then Coronavirus hit, my husband lost his job, I'm a nurse in the Portland Area, and picking up the wine just fell by the wayside. We contacted Maryhill eventually and tried to have the wine shipped to us, but were told we needed to put a new card on file, which we did. A couple of weeks went by and no shipping charge came through and no wine was delivered. At this point, I was just sick of the whole thing and wanted to cancel. I was told we were 3 days late canceling and would need to pay for another shipment of wine. I still didn't have ANY wine, still had not received the first shipment. So they sent a refund check for the first shipment, but then a couple of weeks later they went ahead and charged me for another shipment of wine, charged my card, and sent it to my doorstep. I would expect a little compassion and understanding during this difficult time and I felt this was handled very poorly. Goodbye Maryhill winery, because of you I sure will think twice before I join a wine membership!

Yelp
I knew I was in for good wine when I visited on a warm, summer afternoon - but I wasn't expecting to have such a yummy salad and bread as well! The sun was shining, the doors were open on the patio overlooking the sparkling Columbia River and a performer was treating the crowd to some tunes. The place was packed and folks merrily clinked glasses and swayed to the music. My husband and I shared a bottle of rose and let the warm afternoon overtake us. It was such a great time. I later returned recently with my mom, visiting from Tennessee, to treat her to some PNW wines. We did the flight tasting and enjoyed ourselves. The folks pouring the wine were friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave us a couple extra tastes. (Shhh, don't tell!) Definitely a place we'll return to.

Yelp
Don't try to sit out on the patio unless you want to drop money on a wine club membership. I came on a weekday in the middle of the day when there were no more than 5 other tables, completely empty patio, beautiful sunny day and they wouldn't sit in me in the sun because I'm not a member. I get it, it's a perk, but it's also not the best way to cultivate business. Let your wine and not your waterfront patio real estate be the reason people join your wine club.

Yelp
Great wine and the staff is amazing!!! Love the location. This is my favorite place to bring all my local and out of town friends.

Yelp
Owen Thornhill was awesome!! I enjoyed the flight and my sister signed up for their premium Wine Club! He introduced us to the Rossi Granato~ definitely recommend this one! Thanks, Owen!! Cheers!! Looking forward to the Woodinville Hollywood Schoolhouse opening next month!

Yelp
Came in for dinner and a wine flight on their patio. Unfortunately due to Covid, they are not offering flights outside but that didn't stop us. We opted to share a bottle of wine and an order of crab cakes outdoors. So delicious! Wanting more, I ordered the crab roll and the hubby had the chicken pesto sandwich. Both meals came with a yummy orzo salad and a side of pickled red onions that we gobbled up. Service was a hit! Ambiance was a hit! Food was a hit! Wine was a hit! Everything was so good, we signed up for a premium membership and will be sure to come back again soon.

Yelp
Nice location. Bearable wine. Crappy service. All they did was push for the wine club and all but ignore me when it was clear I was not going to sign up. Too bad.

Yelp
The newly-instigated management style makes this place unwelcoming and disorganized. Too many unposted rules to follow, when all I wanted was a nice glass of wine and a view of the river. We visited there just after the Covid restrictions eased around six months ago. At that time, it was a completely different experience, so we were completely surprised to be greeted with such exclusionary snobbiness for this visit. The Maryhill management needs to realize that, with three other tasting rooms within a two block radius, people have other attractive options.

Yelp
I found the wines we reviewed to be absolutely delicious, and true to the varietal. You can tell they didn't cut any corners in crafting these wines. Well done!!!

Yelp
Four stars as the wine alone is that good. Zin was my fav. Visited yesterday. $15 tasting fee for 8 tastes and reimbursed with a $25 purchase. Really pushing the wine club membership. I thought I heard that you need to buy two cases per year along with a $50 fee. Smaller purchase options might be nice. I like my other clubs where there is no fee beyond the wine purchase and can opt for a three bottle per quarter option. There is a special room for wine club members but it was no different than the rest of the place. Wines by the glass were mostly around 13 for reds. Maybe that was just what they were tasting but at that price I likely won't visit often. I wasn't offered other choices off tasting menu. Nice patio and plenty of seating inside too. The food from a separate vender is great and priced way more reasonably. Charcuterie tray a good deal if you get the small. Large was not noticably bigger but cost $6 more. Clams, grilled cheese and Ruben all got rave reviews from my group. Food is worth it even if you don't drink wine. Staff still learning the wine so am sure that will improve. I miss the laid back calm of the winery location in the gorge. Was hoping for the same here but felt more of a big City vibe pushing sales without encouraging relaxing and sipping wine. I will give it a few months before I try again.

Yelp
After being members at the winery down the gorge, we were thrilled when Maryhill decided to open a tasting room in our local area. Their tasting is a generous eight pours. You do have to go up to the counter for each wine on the tasting (they don't walk around to the tables). They make a large variety of wines, many of which have one awards throughout the United States. The bottles here are decently priced, but it's definitely a better deal if you become a member. Members also get to bring 2 guests for a free tasting. I have had the large cheese plate multiple times, along with the crabcakes, sautéed mushrooms, and the shrimp. All of the dishes were delicious. The cheese plate is definitely the best bang for your buck. The other dishes are rather small and expensive although tasty. Lately they have had some live music on he weekends, which has been a fun addition. Outdoor seating by the river is also pretty heavenly- at least during the summer. Looking forward to getting back here.
