What can I say but AMAZING! All around great atmosphere, service, and most of the FOOD! I was also able to meet the owner Steve, we had a good conversation, picked up my plates and gave me a dessert on the house (house made Key Lime pie). I could not have had a better experience at any other restaurant.

Google
This place is excellent!! Great food, great drinks. Great service. Never really too busy to get a table. The outside patio is awesome. Rock fountain and covered patio tables. Super clean. Highly recommend!!

Google
Went for brunch the first time today and loved the food! This is their third week open for bunch on the weekends (11-2), and I highly recommend them if you are looking for something different. We had a hard time picking from the menu and everything we had was great - ordered chilaquiles and the bacon cheddar poblano omelette plus a side of premium potatoes. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you picked. Still hungry after brunch? You have to try the key lime pie (no pic, devoured too quickly). Best key lime pie I’ve ever had. Kids loved the churros (served with chocolate or caramel on the side). Great options for those of us on the south side of town. I know we will be back!

We were at the end of a long day of traveling and we were HUNGRY. Mas Fuegos truly hit the spot and exceeded our expectations. The chips and guac were tasty, drinks were good, food was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. I loved my fuegos bowl with portobello mushroom and my friend loved his tacos. You get free chips and salsa. The chips were seasoned and quite tasty! If we weren't traveling, I would definitely come back!

Ran in for a Grab and Go Breakfast Burrito. Best Chorizo Breakfast Burrito ever! And the person who rang us up was awesome! I will have to try their menu for lunch or dinner, someday. Update (04/20/2025): Came for Easter lunch. Awesome tacos! Definitely will be back.

Google
I absolutely enjoyed everything about this restaurant! But I was a little disappointed that they didn't even offer a complementary bowl of chips and salsa after being seated and given Menus. Which I'm used to at every Mexican food restaurant I have eaten at. They charge $3.00 for the chips and salsa to start. And they are served in a very small salad size bowl That lasted the two of us 5 minutes. I totally enjoyed the food but I won't go back because of the size of their servings.

Google
Last night was our first visit to Mas Fuegos and it was fantastic! They have a great outdoor patio that was very comfortable. Our server SAM was perfectly attentive and friendly! The food was delicious and they make a great Margarita. We were too full for dessert but decided to take a piece of Key Lime pie home, we wish we bought two! Yum! Won’t disappoint!

We had an amazing time at this wonderful restaurant. We we were greeted warmly by the hostess when we walked in and were seated right away. We sat at seats next to the bar right in the middle of the restaurant. We were served fresh chips that had seasoning on them. I'm picky and was a little worried about this but quickly realized that I was mistaken as I was clearly becoming addicted to them. The seasoning on the chips was delicious and not overpowering. And paired with the house-made salsa made it the perfect appetizer. My husband and I are trying to eat less while still enjoying going out so we split the Beef & Cheese Chili Rellenos, which were beer-battered and baked. We also split a Tinga chicken taco and both were amazing and delicious. I'm not a black bean fan but these black beans have changed my mind. I do not have one single bad thing to say about anything we ordered. The other thing I noticed was the staff and how they interacted with each other. Everyone was happy and we could feel that vibe throughout the restaurant. They smiled as they passed each other and I felt that they were genuinely happy to be there and to be there with each other. It just felt good to see and feel this. And now, for the Key Lime pie. We took it home and just enjoyed it after dinner this evening. My husband and I were play-fighting over it. He'd growl and say that I could not have any because he wanted it all to himself. This Key Lime pie was the best we have EVER had and I'm not exaggerating. I can see why they're proud of it! We also had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the owner. He was so warm and friendly and we very much enjoyed chatting with him. When we left we were thanked by five staff members. I do not have one single bad thing to say about this new find and we're already looking forward to returning. Thank you to Steve and his staff for a wonderful first visit. ❤️

Yelp
We are in town for the night, wanted a good meal after 13 hrs on the road. Randomly picked Mas Fuego, and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Great atmosphere, not crazy even though it's Friday, great service, good drinks. Great queso fundedo, the bison short birria is fantastic. Just a really good balance of flavors and originality.

Yelp
Service was great, super friendly staff. Burrito was disappointing. $6 for a burrito that was about 4 inches.

Yelp
We ate here first, when this concept opened a couple years ago on one of its first weeks open. It had a vibrant feel to it, the staff were all happy and lively. The food was intense, colorful, and flavorful. There was even a young charismatic Chef that personally spoke with our table, asking for feedback and explaining the dishes we were eating down to the type of chile in each salsa. The margs, while being a bit pricey, were nice and inventive. And the bartenders oozed confidence. We could hear the "Yes Chef!'s" coming clearly from the kitchen in perfect unison with the tumblers shaking behind the bar. It honestly felt like a real Mexican restaurant properly elevated right here in Fort Collins. But, a few weeks passed and the quality took a dive. Watery unsalted salsas, undercooked meats, watered down tasting margs, and there was no longer a Chef or even a service manager touching our table. We stopped coming after this for a while because the price did not match the experience or even close. Since we have returned a few times, including this last weekend. It is always just alright. But the concept isn't the same. We drive by and notice their giant orange signs advertising cheap taco plates, or brunch specials and it seems that they have lost that original magic that made them great and have gone more the route of your average Colorado Tex Mex joint. They should bring back that original flair that made them Fuego.

Yelp
I talked my husband in to going here for lunch with me (not his favorite, but is one of mine); however, I may never return. Their website says they are open from 7am to 8pm today and we arrived at 10:51am. The hostess said she could serve us a breakfast burrito to go but she could not seat us until 11am. I explained that we simply wanted to have a place to sit until they could take our lunch order; however, she instructed us to wait outside until 11am. The restaurant was open and we were not insisting on having lunch served at that moment...although a margarita or two would have been nice. The treatment received was not even at the level of McDonalds. I now understand why the restaurant is empty on the occasions that I have eaten there.

Yelp
We came to Mas Fuegos on the hunt for great tacos, and boy did we find the spot! It was a Saturday evening and it was still nice enough to sit outside on the patio. The patio has great lighting and a large, beautiful fountain to enjoy, making it easy to ignore the cars on the road right there. Our server was nice and made great suggestions, however took a while to get our check at the end. We chose to order the Queso Fundido as an appetizer and it was great! The flavors from the peppers, chorizo, and cheese all complimented each other perfectly. For my main course I ordered the Birria Tacos and they were also incredible. For dessert I opted for the key lime pie which was fantastic as well. While definitely on the pricey side, it was well worth it and we will certainly be back again!

Yelp
My coworker/friend and I decided to go check out Mas Fuegos restaurant for lunch today. Never been here before. We arrived at exactly 12noon and we were the first customer for lunch. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman. While he walked us to our table, I noticed right away the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. The decor was amazing. The bar looks awesome and the dining area looks very clean. Their menu items were great. Lots of selection and they have gluten free foods. Our waitress was very friendly. We got our food pretty fast. Less than 10 minutes. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. Their food prices are pretty decent, in my opinion. We will definitely come back here again.

Yelp
We enjoyed a relaxing Sunday afternoon at Mas Fuego! We were welcomed in by Mike and made to feel at home. We're visiting the area and love exploring places that aren't chain restaurants. We began with the salsa trio of House Salsa, Creamy Jalapeño and Chipotle Tomatillo. YUM!!! And for our meal we had the Birria Taco along with a Beer Battered Shrimp Taco with rice and beans. We knew the food would be amazing because of the flavorful rice and beans! I had black beans, hubby enjoyed refried (we asked for shredded cheese vs cotijo). The flavors were spectacular! Cheers to the chefs!!!! On the salsa, I mixed their spiciest fuego with the house salsa...fabulous! Hubby added the fuego to the chipotle tomatillo . The service was personable and engaging. Roxy, Mike and Preston made us feel right at home. Preston's Signature Margarita should not be missed. But, beware it's a creeper and delicious!!!!! We plan to return for happy hour tomorrow to try the House Margarita! Yes, it's THAT GOOD! Bon Appetite!!!

Pam L.

Yelp
If I could give Mas Fuegos staff, food and service more than five stars, I would! They are consistently amazing! The food is by far the freshest, healthiest and most delicious food I've found. The Margaritas are great and the staff is super attentive! So many Mexican restaurants see the chips and salsa as an after-thought, Mas Fuegos serves fresh, warm, seasoned chips. As a total spice wimp, I can honestly attest that their house mild salsa is indeed mild but very flavorful! As you can see, their presentation is outstanding and the flavors are above par!

Yelp
First of all the most impressive quality of this restaurant was the accommodation to our orders. We asked for no oil or salt on the fajita veggies and they came back with steaming plates of the special request of our order perfectly! Our waitress, Grace, was super friendly and accommodating! As for the ambience, that was the cherry on the ice cream! It completed our whole dining experience for the perfect dinner night! I highly recommend Mas Fuegos!

Yelp
We had a greatest experience with our server Sam today. We decided to try this place on a whim today and we were pleasantly surprised the food was amazing and our server Sam was amazing not only did she suggest great tacos but she was dead on with her Key Lime pie suggestion. We will definitely be going back and making sure that we have Sam as a server again.

Yelp
Attentive service, well laid out space (many small groupings of booths/tables), Colorado Mexican food. They offer an amazing variety of tequilas, and the margaritas were delicious.
google avatar

Meridith H.

Yelp
The place looks and feels like a hotel restaurant. It is boring and lacks any style. The food was good, nicely seasoned and good portion sizes. The margaritas are tasty and nicely balanced. We did order chips and queso. The chips were dripping in greasy, chewy and just gross. Some were fresh, crispy and had a nice seasoning on them. We told our waitress about the chips. She never offered a replacement or to remove them from the bill. Service was friendly but slow and lackluster.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Mas Fuego. Walking in it's a beautiful restaurant. Everyone so nice! Our waitress Sierra was able help us navigate through the menu and we enjoyed our meals. Starting with their House signature margarita, yum. My husband had the Bistro Filet Enchiladas and they were awesome, my son had their Short Rib Birria Plate he enjoyed it, and I had their Shrimp Bowl, delicious I enjoyed I was able to get a tasty variety of items definitely will have that again. Thanks again Sierra your attention was great and thanks everyone for making our first experience memorable!

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential, it seems like they have had some turnover staff wise and could probably do a bit more to keep their servers around. Food is decently priced but I've definitely noticed some decline since it opened, especially with portions.

C.P. C.

Yelp
Wonderful waiter very knowledgeable! Longest list of tequila ever seen. Delicious shrimp taco with beans and rice for lunch. Will be back for sure!!! Loved the Mexican ambiance too.

Steve M.

Yelp
I took my 92 year old parents here for dinner. Food was amazing. Service was over the top. My father complained that the house chips were too spicy and they promptly made (from scratch) some regular chips just for him at no additional charge!! We ate on the patio to enjoy the nice weather. Outdoor furniture was very comfortable. The only negative to the outdoor experience is the road noise from Harmony Ave but we still thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Gina K.

Yelp
Went last night for New Year's Eve-3rd time here. Food and service is always outstanding. Cozy but not pretentious-love I could get a glimpse of the bowl game score one of thr big tvs. The filet fajitas are amazing and their margs are fabulous!

J S.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is great! Great patio and allows dogs. The service was also really good. Only giving 3 stars because the food was eh. It was good, but it wasn't anything exceptionally better than other FoCo Mexican joints. I would still say worth a try to see if it's up your ally or not. I tried their breakfast burritos this morning and the chorizo was actually good! Probably better than the dinner I had a couple weeks before.

Yelp
My husband and I went for dinner tonight, and it was fantastic. This was our second time in, but first time actually eating dinner. We tried several things to get a feel for the menu. First up: chips and salsa, they season their chips with something that makes them yummy on their own, the salsa was mild but had good flavor. The tinga(sp?) chicken taquitos were really good and the dipping sauce was spicy with good flavor, and we also got some of their hot salsa and it was HOT with great flavor, and went really well with the taquitos. The bison burria(sp?) quesadilla was so good! We did beef and shrimp fajitas, which was a fantastic combination, the steak was perfectly cooked and tender. We also got a Mahi mahi fish taco (I had to modify it with no guacamole due to an allergy, which they had no problem accommodating) it was wonderful. Perfectly cooked. We ended with a slice of the key lime pie We brought home half of our dinner to enjoy for lunch for a couple days, if our kids don't get to it first! We sat on the patio, and enjoyed everything , Gabby and Ben Thank you so much for your fantastic hospitality and service! We will be back.

Robert P.

Yelp
Seldom do I recommend a great restaurant, but this place is off the rails. I have to take my daughter every other week. She devours the Birria ribs with the homemade tortillas. I'm more of a rellano fan which are always crispy and delicious. Mathew always takes superb care of us. And the ice tea is always fresh and refreshing. Truly a great dining experience.

Brent D.

Yelp
My girlfriend and i drank and ate at the bar. Will was fantastic, great menu suggestions, as well as future suggestions next time we're in. (we will be back). the quadruple grapefruit margarita was fantastic as was the blood orange margarita, a special for valentine's day. Appetizers were super, the chips, made freash in house are always warm and definately a cut above anywhere else. Shrimp enchiladas were fantastic, green chili is spectacular... can't say enough for this place. final note.. Sierra, a server , went out of her way to make conversation with us about the menu as well as drink selections.... she wasn't even our server... we were at the bar!! just so friendly... cudos...,Will and Sierra gave the night that extra special touch... that these days is just missing...

Yelp
These guys serve all their food with disgusting canola oil. Which means they are overcharging you for food made with the lowest (cheapest) quality. What kind of nerve do people have charging 6$ for a taco made with horrible ingredients. Makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a CSU game later in the evening and had been dreaming of nachos for days. We headed to Mas Fuego hoping to enjoy the new restaurant and some nachos. Sadly, for us, there are no nachos on the menu, but it's okay; there are lots of other good things. Since we had limited time, we got some chips and queso and split some steak fajitas. The steak was some of the most tender we've ever had! The green chili rice was tasty and unique. The patio by the waterfall and the fire pit was great as was our server, Karen. What a sweetheart with all kinds of good suggestions for the next time we return. She pointed out a whole section on the menu that is coming soon. Who knows, they may even add some nachos!

Andrea S.

Yelp
Love this place! The enchiladas are my favorite and the Birria taco!!! The margs are also delicious!

Kelsey M.

Yelp
I cannot say enough great things about mas fuegos! The secret here is HOMEADE: The fresh homemade salsas to the fresh homemade margaritas and everything in between. The carne asada is 10/10! Taco winner was Barria Queso ! Plus: the ambiance and custom Tulum pieces with plants transforms your meal in the best way possible!

Javier R.

Yelp
The flavor and the quality of the food is horrible. Never had fajitas that tasted bad.....seriously it's an embarrassment. Let's keep the Mexican culture to the real Mexicans that can cook. If you want to go to a fake Mexican restaurant that will up charge you like crazy and having to pay for chips and salsa, this is the place for you! You just know it's a ripoff. Go to a true Mexican restaurant where the food will taste soooo much better. Do not waste your time here..this place really sucks a lot. I will never come back. I wanna say to the owner.....please change the flavor, quality and the price. It's just horrible. My girl paid for enchiladas that were so small.....that's embarrassing and nothing on the plate and ended up paying for that plate was like $28......seriously, this place is a joooookkkkeeeeee
google avatar

Maysen M.

Yelp
I just don't have the want too recommended this place... Staff is kind, however the food is meh and pricey for what it is. For starters, the food wasn't memorable enough for me. I know that's a cheesy term, however, Mexican cuisine is a comfort food centered cuisine. The food felt underwhelming, nothing made me think, "WOW, this beats other Mexican places I've been too". I wish there was more thought into the salsa we were brought. To me and my mother, it tasted fairly generic. Then, I clearly remember the steak sandwich I had, that was so hard too eat, I got a sore jaw from trying it. Everything else at this location was sub par. The bar life seemed empty and drained, the servers seemed like they had plenty of potential, but with the lack of new aged customers, they weren't too motivated. I almost think from the businesses that were here before, this location is cursed... I might need to give them a second chance, but nothing is giving me a reason to come back, when better Mexican places have recently opened up...
google avatar

Gayle S.

Yelp
Service was good but I had the crispy chicken tacos. It was a chicken strip in a taco. Nothing special. My party had bowls they looked better and the chile rellenos looked good

T R.

Yelp
We ordered Breakfast Burritos for our team at work. They were Awesome. We will be back. Fast service and Delicious.

Natalie R.

Yelp
Cannot beat this place for excellent modern Mexican , perfect drinks, and Amanda always efficiently and professionally looks after our group. Wouldn'r go anywhere else.
google avatar

Larry M.

Yelp
I had the bowl with the fillet Carne Asada. That was absolutely delicious! Everything is extremely flavorful. The jalapeño dip for the chips is unbelievably delicious. Never had anything like it before the natural meats, grass fed beef natural chicken are all a plus tons of gluten-free options this is definitely going on my list of favorites.
google avatar

Gus C.

Yelp
This may be the best restaurant in Fort Collins. The decor is very tasteful and the ambiance is high end perfection. I've eaten here a few times- the margaritas are skillfully made with fresh juices, craft tequilas and lots of love. The Mexican lager beer battered mahi tacos were the best I've ever had. The fish was super fresh and cooked perfectly, homemade corn tortillas and a mango habanero salsa capped the presentation. I love this place and finding it makes me want to visit Fort Collins! Oh , lest I forget the service has been on point with each visit.
google avatar

Cody F.

Yelp
The best place for happy hour and the food is really good. Local ownership and Steve is always around.
google avatar

Maureen E.

Yelp
They've really made the place look special. The food is amazing; I've never had anything that wasn't top-of-the-line. Add excellent service (thank you, Maggie) and wonderful margaritas and this is a favorite place.

Shawn V.

Yelp
Avoid, they put laxatives in your food and may be racially motivated, was visiting from out of town, had not eaten since waking up at 3am, went for early lunch and ended up with symptoms of taking laxative within 10min after eating
google avatar

Mike N.

Yelp
Familiar menu options with an upscale decor. Enchiladas and guac were better than shrimp taco. Bit too much going on to have a true flavor profile. Staff was friendly, if unobservant. Food came out at different times. Requested water refills twice. Silverware had to be requested as well, even after food was delivered. Never figured out who our server was, as we were seated, fed, and watered by three different people. I'm sympathetic to staffing issues everywhere, and hopefully they can get theirs bolstered and trained, which would bring this place to a four.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
Tacos are pretty damn good and love the tequila selection...I mean I really love it. Seen better, but not in northern Colorado. Fajitas are fairly bland and pedestrian....so order tacos and be happy!!! Here's my rub...and your call if it bothers you or not. They charge a fee that is a fixed tip for the "back of the house" as it was explained to me. It's not much...but at some point you need to draw the line...damn, charge a $ more per entrée and call it. But don't BS me and say we have to keep costs down to stay competitive then up-charge me with fees. I travel a lot and eat out more than 80% of the population. This is a trend, but the vast majority of store don't pull this bs...be honest with your tabs

Yelp
Popped in here on my visit to Fort Collins. Had a delicious bowl of warm tortilla soup and their house margarita. I was kinda of in a hurry. My server Kiley was pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick to get my meal out to me. Place is cute and cozy. I will definitely be back with my girlfriends for a girls night!!!!

Mike C.

Yelp
They are rocking on all 8 cylinders! Been here once a week for the last 4 weeks and the food, service, new manager, and new menu, are all great. They had some growing pains in the past but boy did they ever work them out. Buffalo short rib in any iteration is marvelous--my favorite, my son had crème chipotle enchiladas, it was thick, creamy, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the Fuego shrimp bowl with green chili, excellent. Great food, great service at very reasonable prices.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
We've eaten at Mas Fuegos a few times, so this review is overdue. First, the food is always fresh and good. The salsa is delicious, the margs are tasty. But I'm not going to lie - it's overpriced. Last night, for example, between the wife and I, we had two enchiladas, a steak salad, four margs and chips and salsa. With tip - $110. The margs were close to half of that. The service? Ok. Our server was slow to get our first drinks out and take our food order and then kinda seemed in a hurry to shuffle us outta there. It was our first time at a table, as we we've sat at the bar every other time. Overall, I'd recommend Mas Fuegos, with the disclaimer that if you're having cocktails with your meal, you're going to pay a steep premium.
google avatar

Isabella M.

Yelp
We've come two times and both times it was delicious. We love the drinks here and the service is good as well. The decor is very nice and the ambiance is very nice! I recommend the carne asada everything.
google avatar

Kelli S.

Yelp
Excellent!!! Everything was so good. The chips were delicious with guacamole and mango salsa. The shrimp tacos with the sauce options were on point with so much flavor. The briia tacos were also very good. Highly recommend! We will be back. Service was great as well.

Herb I.

Yelp
Great place but the staffing sucks. Most of the time the bartender is staffing the hostess stand, seating people or out on the floor or patio taking orders. Most inconvenient if you would like a drink. Might not actually see him at the bar for 5 or more minutes.

K D.

Yelp
The food here was ample and very good. A little pricey, but what isn't these days? My gripe? The music is so loud you cannot carry on a conversation. For that reason, I will not go back.
google avatar

Tara B.

Yelp
So Good! Dining out has been a bit of a disappointment lately. We are very happy to have this wonderful dining experience. Delicious food and drinks. Good service (Mike) and fun atmosphere. buena comida-
google avatar

Yelp
So sad to report that our first meal 3 weeks ago was fabulous but last night a total disappointment. We could not wait to get back there after the first time but last night we had bison short ribs that we more like sloppy Joes and not even the spices of a sloppy joe. Noting Mexican about it except the tortilla. I'm hoping because we went late on a Sunday night that was the reason for the bison to be overcooked but I'm worried about any more visits. Very sorry to report this but after the first time we thought we found the holy grail.

Dale D.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in Fort Collins. The restaurant is great if you feel like dining in, but they also put together a great to-go box. Love the steak fajitas and the chicken fajitas!!! Very generous portions and cooked to perfection. Chips and queso are very good as well as the tacos. Service is always great! Definitely my favorite Mexican food in town!
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
I made a visit to this upscale Mexican restaurant recently and I'm . . . On the fence. Located next to sister restaurant Rally 5, the space is nice, arcing around east to west, and there's a fire pit outside. I started with an app of chips and salsas (not free) that were good. Yes, good. I'll leave it at good. Moved onto an entree of carne asada tacos - while I liked the meat with the chimichurri, there wasn't enough of it. Key Lime pie for dessert, which was yummy. The service was over-attentive. How is that a problem? When I'm trying to talk to my dinner companion, I don't want to be interrupted, and I was, numerous times. I also felt the value was a bit low. But it's certainly worth a try.
google avatar

Yelp
Do not come here!! The food was terrible for the price, you can easily go somewhere local and get way better food. The rice was not cooked at all it was crunchy and hard, no seasoning or taste to the food. The prices are definitely not worth the food you get you are better off going somewhere else. The entire group got sick after eating here too.
