Came here a bit ago on a trip to Joshua Tree with some friends. We were trying to find a cute coffee shop/cafe to go to for a pick me up and stumbled across this place. I really liked it! It’s a very cute cafe, beautiful decorated to fit the environment of Joshua Tree while bringing a modern/hip/aesthetic vibe that makes it feel like it could belong in a more urban area. The inside is simple but cute. I loved that it is a coffee bar and cocktail lounge combined. We ordered our drinks to go but it looked like they had decent seating inside and outside. The menu was decent with different syrup options for you coffee/tea choices. I ordered an iced latte with caramel and it was tasty. The staff were nice, there were lots of little keepsake items you could buy like stickers and prints, lots of wine options, full bar, and they had body products and candles. The energy was very calm and relaxed inside. I didn’t know until reading other reviews that they have a photo booth out back. Will definitely check this place again in my next trip to Joshua Tree and will have to take a pic in the booth!

Google
Cute restaurant with decent outdoor and small indoor seating area. Food was good, small wait time for food and long wait time to order but usually worth it. They do have cocktails and other drink options. The cocktails were cool but not really worth it, not strong at all. Good portions are fair for the price. Very picturesque all around, good vibes and great attitude and atmosphere from everyone

Google
The place is located on the main highway easy to find and park. The look of this place is really nice and mellow minimal and simple I liked how it was themed to like desert colors almost and just had a nice vibe to it. The drinks were amazing I think I haven’t been to a bar in a minute that really plays well with fresh flavors in their cocktails and I enjoyed every drink I had. They have nice Photo Booth outside and I think it’s the perfect addition to their place. Will come back when I stay in Joshua tree again!

Google
This is the best coffee you will get in Joshua Tree (if your taste lands closer to third wave). The vibe is excellent, Photo Booth super fun, and the folks working are attentive and friendly. The downfall of the place is their hot drinks. If you’re used to a classic cap ratio, I would recommend an iced drink such as a latte (mine was great!) or one of their excellent teas! Overall would recommend if you’re staying out in Joshua Tree and are on the prowl for artisan coffee.

I want to start with saying that I’ll never let 1 bad experience define a place, the cocktail program here and service from the front of house staff is absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for beverages. We came on a Saturday morning for context. The bartenders/front of house staff are rockstars. Polite, kind, and pay close attention to details from the cocktails they make to the espresso pulls. I had a Carajillo, Strawberry Fields, and my girlfriend had an Irish Coffee. Now the reason why I’m leaving 4 stars (which I feel is generous) was the disappointing experience we had waiting for the food. Our entire table of 10 had ate while we were still waiting, a friend of ours mentioned that while he was heading to the restroom a gentleman from the kitchen staff called out my girlfriend’s name but handed it to another table. I asked that person from the back of house staff twice for an update and instead of him owning up to the mistake he kept us waiting. Right when I was cancelling the food, it happened to be ready. Our entire table works in the food industry. From Front of house staff, chefs, to restaurant managers. We were as patient as possible because we know how it feels to be slammed with orders like that. But taking accountability for a mistake really goes a long way. A better ticket system and expo station is something that needs to be worked on here, especially with food that’s being prepared off-site and just being heated up in turbo chef ovens in the back. Nonetheless, this place is a gem and look forward to visiting again!

Google
Total vibe. Great music. The kind of place you want to chill at for a while. Coffee/tea/matcha bar + cocktail bar. Order whatever beverage you want at the front. Light bites available. Mostly outdoor seating. Dog friendly outside. Free parking lot. Great, affordable cocktails! $5 Photo Booth. Good for groups. There was a good pop-up while we were there!

Google
Drove all the way from Long Beach to check this place out. Honestly worth the drive for the vibe (as long as you’re chilling in Joshua Tree). Like an oasis in the desert you’ll find something refreshing on their menu. Whether it’s coffee or a cocktail the baristas got you covered. I went in the morning so I ordered a Cortado and was not disappointed. There’s also a cool Photo Booth if you’re into that! 📷

Google
Great spot for grabbing a coffee in the morning or a cocktail to start the night. It's mostly outdoors so when it's cold be prepared. A quick note about food: this is not a food place. They try to provide with pop-ups but don't expect fast service ('cause they be busy!) Also, if drinking wine and you're group is at least 3+ get a bottle than individual glasses.

Yelp
Came on a late Saturday afternoon, place was not too busy. The atmosphere was great and I will definitely be back for cocktails next time I visit the area! The photo booth is a really cool touch, if you're in to it (it was too hot for me). Had an iced matcha latte which was good and reasonably priced.

Yelp
Was on my list of places to go to when visiting Joshua Tree because 1) matcha 2) photo booth :) We came in the afternoon at around 11:30 so wasn't busy at all. They have a designated parking lot. Place is very cozy and quaint with several spots for seating. They have an even bigger outdoor area for seating where the photo booth is also located. $5 for two copies. Everything was super aesthetic and it's a really great place to take pictures. They turn into a bar at night! 4/10 Matcha ($6.5): Got the matcha with regular milk and no sweetener/syrup because I was a little confused with the menu pricing for flavored syrup. It was not good at all, just tasted like bitter milk. Requested syrup in my drink which didn't really help, but I was dehydrated in the hot sun so I was able to finish the drink. Overall, come for the vibes and photo ops, but don't expect too much of the drinks.

Yelp
LOOKING FOR A HIP DESTINATION in Joshua Tree, YOU NEED STOP BY MAS O MENOS. We arrived around 8:20pm on a Saturday, the security did ID us at the entrance. This place is a super cute Bar/Cafe. They have live music , good drinks, and it is family friendly. We enjoyed some cocktails, coffee and matcha. Great place to end your day or get it started like we did. Stargazing Night for the Family.

Yelp
Unfortunately our visit didn't turn out like we had hoped. While the shop is aesthetically pleasing and prices are reasonable, the ambiance was off-- just as some of the one star reviews have mentioned. It is disappointing given the potential of the space. Customer service could definitely improve on being more welcoming and inclusive (specifically the shorter statured man). My party and I felt uncomfortable-- as if we were being watched, rather than being offered help. Although it wasn't all the staff members, but one in particular that defined the ambiance for us. If you want a welcoming and chill ambiance, I would look elsewhere. BUT if you want an aesthetically appealing space then go for the quick pictures and head out.

Yelp
Came here this afternoon because we were told by 3 different people to try out this place. Very cool vibe. They had a dj playing music, seats inside and outside, and an array of cocktails and mocktails. Huge parking lot right off highway. The only wish was that there was more food options. If they had a food truck that would even be great.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I love everything about this place. First of all, they have coffee and cocktails !! Crazy right ? I didn't get coffee but I did have one of their strawberry matcha cocktails and omg, it was divine ! This place is so cute and has that cozy feeling to it. They also have outdoor seating and a Photo Booth out for only 5$! Service was simple and quick with friendly staff. This place would have live bands perform and I believe a pizza truck that comes. I would definitely recommend this as a top 5 places you need to try when visiting Joshua tree

Yelp
A very cool spot just outside of Joshua Tree, for day or night. We came on a Friday morning during what I believe is the low season, late June, and it was pretty empty during our whole visit but I'm seeing in other reviews that it can get packed. There are a few tables inside but most of the seating is outdoors in their large backyard space. It has a very cool, low key vibe. We ordered a chai latte and a dirty chai and I have to say that the dirty chai was the clear winner. The chai latte was a little milky. They don't make any food here but offered pre-perpared breakfast sandwiches. They're on the smaller side but we split one and it was a nice snack, with good flavors. I'd love to come back at night for some of their live music and natural wine.

Yelp
Super cute and cool stand alone place out in Joshua Tree! Stopped by before going into the park and got a nice refreshing drink! Really liked that they had a wide range of drinks for coffee lovers but also people they just want a lemonade or tea! Very spacious inside and outside & the photo booth is so cute!! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Más o Menos is a must when you're in the area. We went on a Monday at 11am and it was decently busy. Lots of parking and the staff were helpful. Such a gorgeous patio and interior with lots of seating options and some shade. Downside is that there wasn't any music inside or outside to add to the ambiance. My lavender latte was delicious. My boyfriend's mocha tasted more like chocolate milk. Would love to come back for cocktails sometime.

Yelp
great place for drinks when staying in joshua tree. Even though it was hot (desert heat in the summer) and busy staff were friendly and service was quick. Refreshing drinks and pretty desert vibes!!
google avatar

Dana T.

Yelp
A cute stand, but the drinks were disappointing. I got the matcha lemonade and it just tasted like very sour watered down lemonade. My friend got an iced tea and it also tasted watered down. Another friend got matcha latte and there was no matcha and just tasted like milk.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, nice little shop, nice indoor/outdoor seating, and great vibes. Wanted to gate-keep this spot, but the world deserves to know. It's a bit hidden, but worth it - the best coffee shop in the area. Pro tip: they have a cool Photo Booth in the back patio, grab a quick photo to remember your trip.

Yelp
Mas o Menos is a cozy cafe/bar near 29 Palms. We stopped in for post dinner drinks around 6:30PM. The place was pretty lively but we grabbed a seat in a cozy corner near the front door. You order up at the bar and then wait for your name to get called. I had the iced earl grey latte with gin and it was so good! I also had a French 75 which was perfect. My boyfriend enjoyed his drinks as well - an old fashioned and a beer. The sound level in the space was adequate and not too loud. The energy was very chill and relaxed. I could easily have spent all night there. There's ample seating outside with pretty lights. They had a pop up food truck when we were there but didn't partake as we had just eaten. The staff were all super nice. They have two bathrooms and both were very clean. Ample parking is available. They have some small items for sale from local artists and vendors - ceramics, food, etc. Loved our time here! Great for a cozy date night or hanging with friends. Also - they have a photo booth so make sure to take advantage of that.

Yelp
Adorable spot we found on our trip to 29 Palms. This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The ambience was stellar paired with friendly staff and good drinks. They even had a trivia night when we were there, super fun! Plus all the locals were welcoming, it felt like a true community. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area next and recommend you try it out!

Yelp
Such a gem. A great stop on your way to Joshua Tree National Park. We tried a few of the tea drinks. My favorite was the hot matcha late. They use a very rich matcha. I added a pump of lavender and was delicious! Lovely outdoor seating. They also have a cute lil photo booth. Bathrooms available.

Yelp
I saw this cute little cafe all over social media and made it my mission to stop by while in JT! While the space (both interior and exterior!) and the photo booth lived up to the hype, their drinks fell a bit short. Starting with the good things, I absolutely loved how they decorated the space! Featuring beautiful artwork and goodies for sale from local small businesses, offering a wide variety of different seating options, having a photo booth on-site, and doing it all with a gorgeous backdrop, I was in love. An amazing place to spend some down time and just chill. Onto the not-so-great things... my group ordered a variety of drinks- a few teas and a chai latte. None of these really hit the spot. Being from coastal cities in SoCal, we are really spoiled by cafe culture and know a good drink when we come by one! We got the teas iced and they all tasted really watery. The chai latte tasted like cinnamon-y milk. Not our favorites.

Yelp
Cutie coffee shop with lots of vibey outside seating, parking lot, and a photobooth in the back. The photobooth was $5 plus tax for 2 strips of 3 photos each. The quality of the photos surprised me and I would honestly go back just to take pics next time I'm in Joshua tree I got a matcha latte with regular milk and vanilla sweetener. Pleasantly surprised. Nice matcha flavor and minimal clumpage! The cashier was super nice and chill. They also sell local artists works and an assortment of wines and random things.

Yelp
I love this place!!! I was excited to come back when I was in Joshua Tree this last weekend. I tried the dirty chai this time and loved it so much that I came back and got it the next morning too!! I love that they have a side window area if you have a dog. It was super easy to walk up and order and hangout on the outside patio furniture. We got our drinks quickly and they were super yummy. Both times that we went this last weekend the staff was really friendly. Very welcoming and super super nice!! This is overall one of the best little coffee shops I've tried and I just love the vibe of the place. Highly recommend giving it a try if you are in the area looking for a bomb dirty chai or latte. Lavender latte was delicious as well!

Yelp
My mom and I bumbled into Mas o Menos because we really needed a latte. The decor gave a modern Spanish feel. With a minimal exterior but blended so well with the desert. Inside, you'll find a beautiful bar and a lovely seating area for you to relax and enjoy your coffee, along with a display of merchandise, local ceramics and wines and at the front, you'll also find some matchbooks for you to take home as a souvenir. I didn't get to check out the outside, but as the other yelpers mentioned, there is big outdoor patio (I heard there are shows and entertainment outside at nighttime, and a Photo Booth customers to use. The barista was very friendly and welcomed us in. My mom got an iced latte with lavender and almond milk and I got an iced dirty chai latte and we got it to go. My mom really enjoyed her latte she said it was made perfectly. I felt my dirty chai latte was really subtle on the chai part, I felt more spice needed to be added to it, like cinnamon. But, to be fair maybe the syrup was at the bottom and I needed to mix it (I forget to do that sometimes) I did like it still and would maybe try it again next time in the area. The coffee is also made using Canyon Coffee (a favorite of mine from Echo Park/Silverlake area). Additionally the place also hosted a Martha Stewart look-a-like contest where the grand prize was $50 and free cookies for anyone who came. I wish I went but I'm happy we got to stop by and check it out, it made our vacation more memorable.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere in what is a small white structure that used to be a house. They have quality coffee, tea, and mixed drinks as well as beer. And they frequently feature pop-ups such as I Fall to Pizzas and Friendo Burger. Furthermore, on certain days and many weekends, they have DJs there, including Dub Club and others. Nice atmosphere, friendly people. The not-so-great part is that it can get extremely crowded. The lack of a sign out front doesn't stop people from finding the place, and it's been featured in many magazines and newspapers. They're also experts at getting the word out via social media. We're lucky that we are local and can show up whenever we want, and during the weekdays, it's not too bad (most of the time), especially mid-day. On weekends, however, you better get there early, especially if you want to put in an order with I Fall to Pizzas. We showed up to check out one of the DJs around sunset during high season in March, only to discover that a pizza would take 90 minutes, and they had already sold out of at least one of the flavors. Shortly after that, they sold out of everything. Friendo Burger is usually around 15 minutes even during high season, however. The line for drinks can get absurdly long on weekends as well. However, the mixed drinks are inventive and fun. I'm not a coffee drinker, but am told that they are quite good. Most of the places to hang out are outside, and the place is comfortable and vibey, with lots of views of the mountains in JTNP nearby. We've been there three times so far, so obviously, we do like the place quite a bit.

Yelp
Overall such a cute place! Let's first talk drinks. I got a lavender iced latte with oat milk. While it was good, I would give it a 3.5/5 as I only got a hint of the lavender taste. The service was great though, as the woman who took my order was very friendly. It was pretty crowded when we went though (10am) so be prepared to wait. The outside is a great place to take pics and there's even a photo booth! It's also dog friendly :)
google avatar

Sahithi B.

Yelp
We stopped by here on a trip to Joshua tree and my iced matcha was perfect. My friends all enjoyed their coffees as well, and the ambience was really nice. They had a cute photo booth as well!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is such a little coffee shop! We came here before going to Joshua Tree for a little drink and to visit their photo booth! I got the matcha which is a little overpriced but I guess you could justify it as the barista made it the traditional way by sifting the matcha and using a bamboo whisk. The matcha was a nice good quality and if you're from out of the area it's worth a try but I wouldn't come back as a repeat customer.
google avatar

Minji W.

Yelp
Amazing aesthetics and seating area! I loved their menu options + Photo Booth. The Arnold Palmer was really good, but I would not recommend the matcha. I only tasted the milk and was unable to taste any matcha flavor. But i bet the other drinks are good!!
google avatar

Suraj P.

Yelp
Incredible vibes and friendly staff! We stopped in for a few drinks and to finish the workday. They have lots of tables inside and outside. The WiFi worked great even with a lot of people using it. They also have live music but unfortunately we didn't stay for this. Would definitely come back again!

Troy G.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in, we were hooked--and it all started with the vibe set by DJ @softcuss spinning the perfect soundtrack and Laura behind the bar serving up top-tier drinks with unmatched energy and charm. Major shoutout to Christian, Brett, and Sam for keeping the atmosphere warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The entire team made us feel like regulars from the start. The space? Incredible. The vibe? Immaculate. But it's the staff that truly makes this place shine. We came in for a drink... and stayed all night. Can't wait to come back. 10/10.
google avatar

Yelp
Drinks and bar food with a nice and clean presentation. On the weekday, a somber bar with a ambiance that says "have fun but not too loud." On the weekend a great place to take your partner without having to worry about running into "the single crowd" as long as you dont mind standing out back because your not going to find anywhere to sit but a perfect place to drink and actually have a conversation without having to raise your voice above the music if any during the day drinking part of the adventure. A little bit out of the way but the perfect place for a local looking to try a different cocktail than what's at home.
google avatar

Marielle T.

Yelp
Came by midday to finally check this place out after work! They have happy hour from 3-5ish pm throughout the week, so I tried a cocktail that was recommended to me by one of the workers. It was the Yucca Mule and like she said, it was super refreshing! I wish I could have stayed for a second round, but the first round was more than strong enough, even though it didn't taste like it would be strong. Overall, really nice staff and if you can come while it's not super busy, it's really relaxing to chill here after a long day's work :) I'll definitely be back to try their other cafe items!
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
I was at the Saloon the night previous and a really sweet local told me I had to stop here for coffee and drinks, so I woke up the next morning, grabbed the work bag and headed over. It's easy to miss this spot as it's a little further down the highway, so I'm grateful I was told about it--the dirty chai I got here was pretty damn good. On top of that, everyone working this spot was very kind and generous. They have WiFi so I setup shop and worked here most of the day. Later on we switched up to cocktails, which means this coffee shop is 21 and over and doubles as a bar! They had good tunes playing all day and a really thoughtful backyard patio area with a nice photo booth and a stage. (They were doing a little battle of the bands event later in the day) I didn't get to try the food but it looked great, and all the items seemed to be a collab with the local pizza peeps, I fall to pizzas! Cocktails, coffee, food, atmosphere, this spot checks all the boxes
google avatar

Paola N.

Yelp
Such a great place to visit when in Joshua tree! A definite must! The photo booth is affordable and cute!

Yelp
Perf place for coffee & cocktails! Wish there was a second location in San Diego. :) really good (and strong) Bloody Mary. Stayed for a while and played cards. Came back the next day for matcha on our drive back home. Would always come back here when we visit. Staff was nice. Love the energy of this place. Would love to be a local to attend all of their cool events and pop ups. Only negative things were the food was so bland--sandwich's bread was dry & there was like 2 half pieces of bacon. And one day it was extremely dog friendly but the next day we brought our dogs and had to sit outside.
google avatar

Maria R.

Yelp
If this place was closer to me...I would be a regular. First time here (02.16.25) and we weren't disappointed. My husband ordered a michelada (Modelo) and I ordered a dirty chai (added vanilla sweetener)...both were good. The michelada mix wasn't too salty or spicy which is always a plus. My dirty chai was just the right amount of sweet. We sat outside to enjoy our beverages - loved the setup. Staff was friendly and the place was a vibe overall.
google avatar

Vanessa H.

Yelp
cute cafe and night time hangout spot. the day we went there was a performance and event going on and they also had pizza pop up. super cool chill vibes. matcha was on the milky side if you prefer that. It was a good pick me up in the hot weather for sure
google avatar

Heeju S.

Yelp
Great little coffee spot near Joshua Tree! The coffee was pretty good, definitely a good spot to grab a quick brunch or coffee on your way to or from Joshua Tree. The day we were there they had a pizza truck type thing in the back, so we had to try it. It was so good, so if you see the pizza guys there, definitely grab a pie:)

Yelp
When coming to Joshua Tree, I knew I had to make a stop at Mas o Menos, such a cute cafe/bar! They have a variety of cocktails and coffee. I went with the Strawberry Fields boozy drink. It has matcha, y'all, and I felt healthy drinking this drink lol. My boyfriend opted for the mezcal flight because he loves himself some mezcal. They have a non-alcoholic section which is perfect for people that do not drink. The place itself is so cute and has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very nice and made us feel very welcome. The ambiance is very chill and relaxed. If you're in Joshua Tree, Mas o Menos is definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
The vibes were amazing however, the matcha just tastes like milk. I really wanted to love it, but it wasn't for me. Ordered a matcha latte with vanilla syrup and one with lavender syrup. The vanilla one tasted like vanilla ice cream and the lavender one was all syrup. Wanted to give it another try as a lot of people rave about this place, but tried without any sweetener and the ratio of matcha to milk was off.

Yelp
Welcome to the coffee gem in the high desert. I'm a local and I frequent this place a few times a week. The decor and aesthetic are on point, especially for the people who are social media heavy, it gives you all the JT Desert vibes you'll need. The staff has always been such a pleasure to deal with and Christian the owner is super dope, he's done so good with this joint. They have some food on the regular but a few times a week they have local venders come and serve food as well as hosting live music shows outside from time to time. There's a great patio, fire pits, a Photo Booth for the mems and almost forgot to mention, it's a bar too!! You're good to go any time of day. Enjoy, ch

Yelp
I absolutely loved this spot. Very cute sit with lots of photo ops. The espresso was divine and the cold brew had the perfect amount of punch and flavor. Definitely give them a try if you're in Joshua tree

Yelp
Such an aesthetic, beautiful little coffee shop in Joshua Tree! Excellent selection of coffees, teas, and food. The dirty chai and lavender latte were both on point, and we ordered a gourmet wood fired pepperoni pizza from the establishment out back to share. Very generous portion, fresh and delicious! We went on a Saturday and they had live music playing out back as well, which was so fun! Perfect lunch + coffee spot before or after a hike in Joshua Tree!

Yelp
This cute little cafe bar is such a unique experience. Whatever drink you're feeling, you can find it here. Super vibey & the outside has a chill, laid back vibe. Perfect place to hang out and have a couple drinks or some snacks. Their cocktails are actually pretty cheap ($13) and do taste very good.

Yelp
Very cool place in Joshua Tree; this spot was minutes from our air bnb when visiting the area and it's got a cool vibe. We went one night and one morning.... Night time was definitely more crowded, looked like they had some food, it smelled delicious and they had entertainment outside. Bartenders were not friendly and service was sub par; drinks were tasty. And as for the morning the coffee was decent and the bartenders were way more friendly and attentive. Cool spot to check out overall.

Yelp
This place is super cute with lots of different events, and transitions smoothly from coffee shop to bar vibes as the hours go on. Great staff and vibes!

Yelp
We had the opportunity to grab drinks here one night but coffee here multiple days throughout our visit. The drinks were actually pretty good, and the place has a chill vibe which is nice as the sun slowly starts going down. The place is bustling in the morning but they really have some great coffee and espresso drinks! That, partnered with the scrambled egg sandwich, made for a great start to our morning. The only thing that was a bit off was the cheese plate but again, don't let that turn you away. This place deserves a stop, or two or three!!

Yelp
It was an underwhelming experience. Waited 30 mins for a breakfast sandwich only for it to be the incorrect order, but they did refund and comp a drink. The aesthetics of the shop was super cute and the photobooth was fun!

Yelp
My friends and I rented a place in Joshua Tree and decided to go to a local bar one night. We found this gem only 4 min (drive) from us and we couldn't have been happier. The vibes and aesthetics were exactly what we were hoping for. The bartenders were so nice and welcoming. I had the best espresso martini (with reposado) that I have ever had - and I have had plenty! I am guessing it's because their coffee is of superb quality. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in JT!

Yelp
A literal oasis in the middle of the desert, except it's real, and not an optical illusion, and they have excellent coffee drinks and cocktails served real cups! None of that cardboard cup crap!

Yelp
Really cute spot in the desert for coffee, merch, and even a photo booth in the back! The employees were kind and when I needed an adjustment they were quick to make them.

Yelp
They can improve on MAKING EVERYONE feel welcomed ! From the moment I walked in and got to order , the barista /bartender did not greet us . I greeted her with a hello before she even said hello . She did not suggest anything on the menu. We're not locals and wanted a warm experience and did not receive that customer service . Of course the coffee & cocktails were great . They should be great overall people travel to Joshua Tree for a great vacation & experience. This was my second time visiting here and it hasn't seem to change . This location is amazing of course .
