The 38 Best Restaurants in Barcelona

"Barcelona is in the throes of a natural wine renaissance, and Masa Vins is opening some of the most interesting bottles in the city. The cuisine of co-owner chef Antonella Tignanelli is rooted in the Mediterranean but globally inspired. Delicate dishes like seabass crudo with mandarin oil and sumac share space on the menu with bar snacks like the kimchi grilled cheese “bikini.” Brimming with youthful energy, Masa Vins was created by Tignanelli and co-owner Dani Bajc to be a place to hang with friends, drink unique wines, listen to music, and eat excellent food. Of the 250 natural wines on the list, there’s an emphasis on Eastern European labels, and the food menu changes every three months with the seasons. The place is nearly always busy and there aren’t many tables, so get there early or expect to wait. Large parties can book through Instagram DM." - Sam Zucker

The 14 Best Wine Bars In Barcelona - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Even a residential area like Poble Nou needs a wine bar. Masa Vins has one of Barcelona’s longest natural wine lists, with pages of choices from all over Europe available by the glass and bottle. As for the food menu, it has enough vegetable and healthy options to please the local yoga set, but without being boring. The kimchi grilled cheese is so pungent and oozy that you’ll smell it before you see it, and the coconut water jelly, fresh berries, and whipped cream dessert is sexy enough to smother yourself in. The pared-back retro space has a vinyl record player if you want to spin a tune—but you’ll probably be too busy making friends with the people at the next table over a bottle of cloudy Austrian pét-nat." - isabelle kliger

23 Best Bars in Barcelona

"Masa Vins calls itself “your living room but with a fridge full of natural wine.” This tiny, lively space with its unfussy tiled walls and fewer than a dozen tables really does feel like a close friend’s kitchen—that’s providing your friends are really cool have excellent taste in wine. And the 2023-opened spot is a welcome addition to Barcelona’s artsy Poble Nou neighborhood; it’s full of fashionable 30-somethings and has one of the longest wine lists around, with pages of options by the bottle and by the glass, including some pretty obscure varietals. Snacks and tapas are all beautifully presented and perfectly on-trend, too; think kimchi grilled cheese and crudité served with a fermented carrot-cashew dip." - Isabelle Kliger, Naren Young

Masa Vins — Bar Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"First impression? Masa Vins calls itself “your living room but with a fridge full of natural wine.” This tiny, lively space with its unfussy tiled walls and fewer than a dozen tables really does feel like a close friend’s kitchen—that’s providing your friends are really cool have excellent taste in wine. How’s the crowd? This newly opened natural wine bar is a welcome addition to Barcelona ’s artsy Poble Nou neighborhood. It’s full of fashionable 30-somethings and natural wine lovers gazing at one another through cloudy glasses and trendy eyewear. How are the drinks? This is one of the longest natural wine lists I’ve seen in Barcelona, with pages of options by the bottle and plenty by the glass too, including some pretty obscure wines we’d never heard of. If there’s food, is it worth ordering something to eat? Snacks and tapas, all beautifully presented and perfectly on-trend. Think kimchi grilled cheese or crudités with fermented carrot and cashew nut dip. Did the staff do you right? When it comes to natural wine, co-founders Antonella Tignanelli and Dani Bajc really know their grapes. They love what they do and you can tell. Wrap it up: what are we coming here for? Who wouldn’t want to check out a trendy new natural wine bar in a hip, up-and-coming Barcelona neighborhood?" - Isabelle Kliger

I have been here a few times, even for my birthday. Beautiful fresh food always presented in gorgeous and creative ways 🩷 one of my favorites in Barcelona. Generally they have a good number of veggie options on the menu too

We went twice in a 5-day vacation. It's a really enjoyable restaurant. If you go at opening time, you can find a seat inside without waiting. Everything we ate and drank was delicious.Banana split is delicious! I definitely recommend it.

My wife and I visited this restaurant with high expectations. While the food was genuinely excellent—the olives and nuts were fantastic, the pesto pasta and Greek salad were delicious, the hotdog was incredibly flavorful, and the orange wine was a great touch—our overall experience was disappointing due to the service and organization. We waited 2.5 hours to be seated, which would have been more manageable if there had been a reservation system or at least an estimate of wait time. Not knowing if or when we’d get a table made it almost impossible to consider other dining options, especially later in the evening. Once we were finally seated, we were asked for our dessert order right after placing our mains, which felt rushed and odd. An hour later, we were handed the bill and asked to leave—despite there being no stated time limits on how long guests can stay. In short, amazing food, but poor management and service took away from the experience. We likely won’t return unless the seating and service situation improves.

A simply perfect wine bar - in terms of wine selection, food and price. You can't make a reservation, we arrived around 8:00 PM and the lovely hostess suggested we wait outside with a glass of wine until a table became available, which is what we did. From the moment we sat down, both the service and the food were amazing. Highly recommend

Very cozy wine bar. Excellent and knowledgable service. The food was absolutely amazing and so flavourful. We waited nearly an hour in line, but it was so worth it 😍 Would definitely come back

If you haven’t been to this place yet, it’s a must-go. And if you’ve been here before, you need to come back—because you already know how good it is. Everything I’ve tried, and every time I’ve visited, my experience has only gotten better. I might be a bit obsessed with this place, but trust me, it’s worth it. I’m even willing to cross half the city just to grab some food and wine here. The wine selection is amazing. The staff is incredibly professional and takes the time to explain everything, even the smallest details. And the food? Every dish is just incredible. They update the menu from time to time, but if you’re lucky and they still have the mussel sandwich or the artichoke one, you have to try them. Promise me. I also love the olives with the spiced nuts. The olives are easy to peel, and they serve them with coriander, which adds a special flavor. It’s a perfect pairing with wine. The place itself is super chic and stylish!

Incredible place. Best tapas we’ve ever had. Wine selection is phenomenal. Service was excellent, we had our 2 small kids with us and the experience was amazing - they ate everything. Cool vibes, vinyl spinning and an intimate space. Go here!

Cool vibe, nice selecion of wine, the right place to share a few plates with friends in casual style. However a bit overpriced. Farinata was nice but very small portion. The porchetta a bit dry and hard to cut. More in general there is a original selection of dishes but the quantity is poor and as a result you end up easily paying 50€ per person to get full. Best part is dessert though. The orange sponge cake was incredibly delicious! I would go back, but only when I am not that hungry ;))
