Wow!!! This is an amazing restaurant. Everything we ordered was top of the line. Definitely recommend. They have an assortment of appetizers as the amuse bouche, salted almond, gazpacho in a small glass, mussels, macaron with green apple. We followed with appetizer specials of morel mushrooms in cream sauce and my husband had roasted baby squid that melted in your mouth. For entree, I had the red tuna tartar, the best I’ve ever had and the sauce inside the tuna was divine. My husband had the goat and he said it was so tender, like butter. We were too full to try dessert but they came out with three different mini desserts that were so delicious. If you ever find yourself in Girona, definitely book dinner or lunch at Massana!! At the end the chef even came out to make sure we liked everything.💖😋

A true culinary treat. Well deserved Michelin rating. From start to finish, every bite was an delightful experience. The staff is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The courses are well portioned and the explosion of flavors continues to excite the pallet with each well crafted plate. The restaurant is well decorated with excellent art that gives a relaxing but sophisticated feel. A meal not soon forgotten.

It’s an unforgettable meal at Massana. 15 beautiful, decadent and refined dishes. Nothing too fuzzy just great local ingredients that a lot of care has been put into. This is old school fine dining in a beautiful setting. The staff is very attentive and the sommelier recommended beautiful wines. Well deserved Michelin star.

Wonderful experience of the tasting menu- visiting solo and was very well looked after, particularly by Edward who gave fantastic education on the (mainly Spanish) wines to accompany the food. Family-run affair and feels all the more special for it. Highly recommended. Chocolate dessert probably the best I have ever eaten and that’s coming from a chocoholic!

Excellent tasting menu, if that’s what you want, HIGHLY recommend adding the wine pairing, which will elevate each dish. Personally loved the foie gras and eel with pork belly dishes. This is a tasting menu where you walk out full, but not stuffed and deeply satisfied with the fun experience of flavors and textures. If you’re considering planning for a fun and special meal, this is it.

We are in Girona for El Celler de can Roca. Staying two nights so we have one free night with nothing planned. We asked our hotel for recommendations, unfortunately a lot of places were closed due to prior week's flower festival. Luckily our awesome hotel concierge was able to book a last minute reservation for us at Massana. We had no expectations walking in, except knowing the fact that it has one Michelin. It BLEW our mind. Every single dish was perfectly executed, with the perfect balance of flavors and texture. My favorites were eel, duck, and lamb. Eel was perfectly cooked and on top of a layer of pork belly - it literally melted in your mouth. So was the duck breast - thinly sliced, complimented by some pickled shallots, it was simply perfection. And just when I thought the night couldn't get any better, the waiter brought out lamb shoulders. It's the part of animal that works hard, so full of flavors but usually not easiest to cook. Here, it was once again cooked to perfection - unbelievably tender and exploded in your mouth with flavors. The meal ended with two amazing desserts, one tart and one sweet. Perfect ending to an amazing dinner. Service was also impeccable, with great local wine recommendations to compliment our meal throughout. Coming from New York, I think Massana could easily compare to any three Michelin star restaurants we've been to in the city, if not better. And with only one third of the price. So if you are in girona and couldn't get into the roca brothers restaurant, come here, you can thank me later.

Soooooo amazing. And honestly the most reasonably priced high end restaurant I have ever been to. The food was delicious and inventive. I did the alcohol pairing which would cost 5 times as much in the US. For dessert, get the egg dessert. Don't ask questions- it will ruin it - but trust me, this is what you want.

The sommelier was knowledgeable and attentive and the chef present to greet guests. In fact, he ran out to say goodbye to us and thank us for coming when we were out the door. An expensive lunch and well worth every penny!!!

I highly recommend eating at Massana. The food at Massana is fantastic - impeccably prepared , delightful food that puts a smile on your face. The foie gras amuse-bouche was amazingly rich and creamy, and certainly the best foie gras I've ever eaten. The food at Massana easily deserves its Michelin star but the service doesn't quite match up to the high standard of the food. The service is pretty good - friendly, but still formal, but somehow a bit awkward (language barriers could explain this). I'll keep my rating at 5 stars as the food was amazing, and I don't go to restaurants for the service :) Hits - foie gras amuse-bouche - best foie I've ever had - oxtail with foie gras - rich, flavourful and decadent - cannelloni - great depth of flavour, savoury and rich - "coconut icecream" - My wife's favourite dessert ever! Avocado banana mousse was unbelievably good Misses - No misses
