"Off the beaten path in Flushing is Master Huang, an establishment that features cuisine from the owners’ hometown of Tainan, in the south of Taiwan. One can order a deep, home-cooked beef noodle soup and one of the better stinky tofus around. Hidden among the menu are a wealth of deep cuts worth exploring – including grassy mugwort mochi, stuffed with shredded radish and yio fan, a sticky, rich fried rice with a dash of sweet glaze.  If in doubt, ask the friendly owners. Newcomers to Taiwanese braised foods should try two appetizer samplers: “braised mix” or “mixed spice” — perfect for the uninitiated." - John Tsung, Eater Staff

I recently discovered Master Huang, a new restaurant in town. While some might find the owner stern, I see it as a sign of solemn professionalism. It's heartwarming to see the owner working diligently alongside his elderly parents—a true family collaboration. The food is well-flavored and definitely worth a try.

The establishment was located in a residential area. A small place, can only accommodate 10 people. The food was very tasty n the cost was .moderately efficient. I will most definitely go back to try other items in the menu.

The best braised pork rice I’ve had in a very long time. Their salt and pepper chicken was super tender and the rice sausage/taiwanese sausage was so good! The braised dishes were ok. Only complaint is the beef noodle soup; we waited waited 20 mins and for $16 you get three pieces of meat. It was average noodle soup and definitely not worth the price.

Braised pork over rice was great. Then had Chinese fish dumplings to go as a healthier option to pork and they were just right as a healthier option for those who have to cut red meat. For some reason Ive had trouble finding fish dumplings.

Pretty Taiwanese restaurant selling authentic Taiwanese food at a reasonable price. Portion is a bit small but it taste really good. Limited seatings. Good for takeout. Service was great.

Very good 滷肉飯. The pork is not fatty at all, and there are many different flavors and textures all in one bowl. The service was also surprisingly fast considering the food quality. It will fill you up for 9$ and I would recommend it to anybody in the area.

Outstanding new Taiwanese restaurant in Flushing, Queens, NY. Many of our favorite dishes are available. Just brought home Chives Pork Shrimp Dumplings frozen, cooked them at home, and they were very very tasty. We will be regular customers. We bought more dishes to take home, and look forward enjoying them. I include photos of their takeout menu…
