The 23 Best Chinese Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"One trip to this laid-back Xi’anese restaurant and you feel like a cold skin liangpi noodle has wrapped itself around your hippocampus, squeezing out pretty much everything else you care about. But it’s not just those chilli oil noodles that are unmissable at this low-key spot in Bloomsbury, it’s the spicy cumin beef burger, the hypnotic chew-factor of the hand-pulled biang biang noodles, and the zingy potato sliver salad. Their Hammersmith location is great too." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna

The 38 Best London Restaurants, According to Eater’s Local Dining Expert | Eater

"Chef Wei Guirong is a star of London dining: Her first (joint) venture, Xi’an Impression opposite the Emirates stadium in Highbury, has long held cult status among food lovers in London. But increasingly, Master Wei, Guirong’s solo project in Bloomsbury (and now Hammersmith), is outshining its forebear. Enjoy peerless biang biang noodles with vegetables or beef; fine liang pi, cold skin noodles with a cool, refreshing, umami-rich dressing; and the chef’s Xi’an-style “burgers” with a filling comprising cumin-spiced beef or pork. Know before you go: The Bloomsbury location is bigger, so it’s easier to get a table." - Adam Coghlan

The 25 Best Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"One trip to this laid-back Xi’anese restaurant and you’ll feel like a cold liangpi noodle has wrapped itself around your hippocampus, squeezing out pretty much everything else you care about. But it’s not just those chilli oil noodles that are unmissable at Master Wei, a low-key spot in Bloomsbury. It’s the spicy cumin beef burger, the hypnotic chew-factor of the hand-pulled biang biang noodles, and the zingy potato sliver salad that’s like a high five on a sunny day. From one of the chefs behind Xi’an Impression, it’s a casual place that’s ideal for a catch-up with friends, or more importantly, an urgent catch-up with those noodles." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

The Best Restaurants In Bloomsbury And Holborn - London - The Infatuation

"Master Wei is the second restaurant from the folks who run Xi’an Impression. Need we say more? Probably not, but we will anyway. It’s got the same Chinese specialities that we know and love—cold liangpi noodles, rou ji mo buns, biang biang noodles—only in a bigger and slicker space in Bloomsbury. It’s super casual and walk-in only. Though, after the first time, you’ll find yourself walking in again and again." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

Where To Eat Near London’s Best Cinemas - London - The Infatuation

"There is only one place you need to know about around Bloomsbury pre or post seeing Keanu Reeves do absolutely anything for his dog, and that place is Master Wei. The Xi’anese restaurant is somewhere you can (and we have) eaten multiple times per day. The biang biang noodles are always delicious and welcome, as is a bowl of the ‘cold’ liangpi noodles. FYI, it’s only a ten minute walk away from the Curzon." - jake missing
