I don't understand the hype. This is mediocre pizza. 1st, you go up to one counter to order your food, which then asks for a tip. So I tipped. This was because I assumed when I sat down, they would serve me. Nope. You still have to wait for your thing to buzz, and then go get all your own food and drinks, and condiments. So explain what I am tipping for if I get everything and then bus my own table after? That's no different than fast food.
2nd: Although this is a brick oven fire pizza, they are super stingy on the olive oil on the crust. Which you need with this type of crust, or it becomes gummy and too chewy. And this was! I ordered the "white" pizza with Prosciutto, which had almost zero base to it. it had the bare minimum of prosciutto, and some big slices of chives. No garlic, nothing else in the way of seasoning either. There was some random Parmesan, but it seamed like the cheap stuff, not actual real Parm. The Pizza had zero flavor.
I also ordered the Dates stuffed with goat cheese appetizer. I've had variations of this done at other restaurants, and it is always served warm and soft, which enhances the flavors and brings them together. However, these were served rock hard and cold. So clearly pre-made in advance. I've never seen this before, and it completely detracted from the taste and experience. This would be 100% better if warmed up, then the honey drizzled on just before serving. This was a big disappointment.
Considering I walked 1/2 hour in cold/windy weather to get here because of good reviews, I was seriously left wondering why. Maybe this is what OH calls good pizza, but don't get catfished. It's just a basic pizza dough surrounded with a lot of instagram illusion.
