Mastro's Steakhouse

I preface with this place is good, but just missed the mark to be 5 stars. The filet was sensational but I feel like having some sauce options would be better. The Ahi was good but lacked flavor. The calamari was kind of rubbery and the pieces were small. The creamed spinach was eh. The signature butter dessert was so good but it really needed to be a little warmer. Again, it was very good, but could have been great. Service was absolutely excellent.

Mastro’s continues to be one of the best, overall consistent and delicious steakhouses in America. Owned by Landry’s, they have kept the tradition alive. Everything you could wish for on a steakhouse menu is there from the seafood tower to ultra fresh ahí tuna to house cut fries to sushi to any steak you desire and finally, the best desserts. Even the bread basket is to die for especially the pretzel rolls, best $5 value although it used to be complementary. Cocktails are huge and wine list reasonable. Glasses average 8-9 ounces. Food is served hot and love that you can order most sides half and half as their portions are huge. Butter cake is famous but you must try their Key Lime pie. Overall, an incredible experience. The bar area features live music on weekends and is louder than the dining rooms, so make reservations based on your preference.

Came to Mastro's with a group of 12 for a bachelor party. We had a private room in the back. Our main server Allen 'Grandpa' was phenomenal, really added to the overall experience. Hard to photograph everything, but we ordered, beef carpaccio, lobster bisque, and some salads for starters. Bone in filet, rack of lamb, dry aged ribeye, and porterhouse for mains. With a bottle of the right bank gran cru Bordeaux. Then for sides we got mac and cheese (with and without lobster), gnocchi, broccolini, and fries. The lobster bisque was good, great amount of lobster chunks inside, but I'd stop short of great. Carpaccio was fantastic. I ordered the wagyu butter with my steak (most did order one of the butters) but we all agreed after that we wished we hadn't, it made it way too rich, so I would advise against that. Everyone's order was cooked to proper temperature. I didn't hear any complaints about the sides, and I enjoyed what I had. The wine was great and felt like reasonable value all things considered.

Here is the good, bad, and ugly from our pre-Valentines dinner last night: - Had reservations at 6:45p. Didn't get seated until 6:57p. Not a good start. Let me get this straight, this restaurant will take my credit card and charge me if I don't make it to my reservation but has an issue seating us on time (i.e., their time is valuable but ours isn't)? - My seat was very wobbly. They got me another one. - The tables in our area were too close together. I'm paying a lot of money for our dinner to be hearing everyone else's conversations. As we walked in we saw a table literally in the hallway. Really??!! Not a good look! See photo. - Food (drinks, bread basket, French onion soup) were delicious! - After we got through a good portion of the above food, our waiter said that the steaks we ordered would take 20 more minutes! What? I'm pretty sure we waited even longer than that. The people next to us got seated about 5-10 minutes AFTER us and got their steaks about 10 minutes BEFORE ours arrived! Argh!!! - Because we waited so long we felt quite full and asked the waiter to just box up our steaks (even before they arrived). To his credit, he apologized and comped us one of the steaks and a salad (we had the steaks this morning and they were very good). - No manager ever came to apologize. We were very frustrated overall and won't plan on going back. We've been to probably over 100 restaurants in the Scottsdale area area in the past few years (and I've reviewed most of them). Many of those are fine dining establishments. Point being, that we can find other great places to eat without necessarily dropping $250-$300 for dinner and sub-par service.

From service to food to ambiance. 10/10 Go see our friends Jorge and Derrick!!! They are very attentive and so friendly. Super professional and relaxed too. It’s hard to find service like this these days. Came here to celebrate my husband’s 45th birthday. He’s been wanting to eat here for some time and we never had the chance to so this was a big birthday surprise for him. Not only the detail of printing his name on the menu but also making sure they acknowledge him throughout the evening. I was shocked by how many people stopped by our table to say happy birthday. It just made his night! Thank you so much! We have no family and are new to the city so this just was such a wonderful treat for us. Jorge and Derrick are a class act. Bravo to these two gentlemen. The restaurant was absolutely packed, seeing that the Waste Management Golf Tournament is in town and I’m sure it was overwhelming. But even though the floor was buzzing with excitement and energy, they were both always checking in and filling glasses and emptying our table. We genuinely were impressed and delighted. The food was delicious!!! Thank you chef!!! My husband ordered the 20oz steak, completely buttery soft. Our daughter ordered the grilled salmon and I ordered the broiled Sea bass. Delicious!!! Both super soft and amazing crust on top. We finished our meal with a gigantic slice of chocolate cake from the staff. Thank you!!! It’s been years (over ten years) that we have experienced this kind of level of service and portion of food. I can’t express enough how much we love and appreciate this kind of service. Amazing. Hats off to their manager, chef, front of the house and back of the house team!!! We are looking forward to coming back!!!

Mastro’s is easily a top 5 steakhouse in Arizona. The food is top-notch no matter what you order, and the service is consistently amazing. The manager, Bernice, is phenomenal, and the private rooms are perfect for events or special gatherings. The staff has a keen eye for detail, which makes the entire dining experience feel elevated. This place is a solid 5 stars in my book. My only complaint is that parking can be a bit difficult, but once you’re inside, it’s well worth it.

We've enjoyed Mastro's at a few other locations. BY FAR this was one of the most delightful dining experiences we've ever had! Our server deserves a round of applause. Grandpa, as he told us to call him and simply magical. He knows how to make guests feel welcome and valued. Every once of his energy went in to making sure that everything was perfect. His assistant, Dre was also amazing. He was there within seconds to fill our water glasses, take plates and also just be there to make us feel pampered. I went to the manager to tell him what an amazing experience we had and he was also, kind, appreciative and thankful! We thank you for making our vacation extra special!!!

Dear Management Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding our dining experience at your restaurant on Saturday, February 7. My husband and I have celebrated our wedding anniversaries at Mastro’s for years, specifically because of your reputation for exceptional food, refined service, and an elegant, peaceful dining atmosphere. This particular reservation was especially meaningful, as it was also intended to celebrate Valentine’s Day and my birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below the standards we have come to expect from your establishment. From the beginning of the evening, several issues impacted what should have been a special and memorable occasion. The dress code, which has historically contributed to Mastro’s upscale ambiance, was not enforced. A nearby group of guests—clearly attending the Waste Management Open—were dressed in casual graphic T-shirts, shorts, sneakers, and baseball caps. They were seated in the main dining area rather than near the bar, and their behavior was loud and extremely disruptive, making it impossible for us to have a conversation at our table. When my husband respectfully brought the noise and disruption to our server’s attention, he apologized, but no action was taken to resolve the situation. By the time dessert arrived—after a long delay—the atmosphere had become so unpleasant that we took only one bite before deciding to leave. Before exiting, we spoke with a manager, who apologized, but by then the evening had already been irreparably impacted. Dining at Mastro’s comes with a premium expectation—not only in food quality, but in service, ambiance, and overall experience. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we did not receive what we paid for, nor what your brand promises. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it is taken seriously and addressed, as we have always regarded Mastro’s as our go-to restaurant for meaningful celebrations. I come from a family where we have been cooking steaks for generations as my grandpa started a meat market in the 1950's. If there's anyone who knows about steak, eating it, cooking it, preparing it, it's me. I've tried thousands of steaks and steakhouses over the years and with all honesty this is my favorite meal and steakhouse of all time! We always start off with the shrimp cocktail which has the biggest and freshest shrimp and delicious cocktail sauce and horseradish. I always get the New York Strip - and the flavor this thing has is unreal. It's always cooked to my perfection (medium-rare), juicy and melts in my mouth. I recommend Mastro's to anyone looking for that perfect meal, steak, date night or out to celebrate!

It pains me to make this review because Mastro's has always been a consistent staple.. This visit has since changed my view on this establishment when it comes to potential food safety and precautions. For the price we pay, we expect high quality and expectations.. My wife and I went for our first wedding anniversary after being together for over a decade. I wanted to treat her to a stellar dinner. Here are some key things I want to discuss: The service was immaculate and there usually is never an issue with it. The gentleman assisting us was always attentive, on-top, and courteous. The food was just "okay" and it pains me to say that. We both had steak (I had the NY strip with the bone marrow butter). My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, but the butter was least to be desired and did not add the enhancements I expected. My wife ordered the petite filet mignon and had the truffle butter enhancement. Her steak was also cooked perfectly, but we are still trying to figure out what could've potentially made her sick. Atleast the steaks were delicious.. Mind you, this was our ONLY meal that day. We had 3 sides: Broccolini(lacked seasoning and flavor), the White Cheddar Mac and Cheese which was not surprising in flavor, and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes which had the best flavor of the 3! For dessert, the butter cake and our "complimentary" dessert were provided. The butter cake was good, but a fruit fly landed on it and we couldn't finish it. The manager did advise that they could make a new one, however we were very full at this time and politely declined. As for our drinks, I had the Fire and Mango and the wife had Ubee drink. The drinks were great and no complaints there.. What I'm trying to decipher is why the sides were mediocre and what caused my wife to get sick. We have decided that we will NOT be returning and will stick with our other favorite steakhouse. This was quite a shame and I'm upset to be having to make this review.

Butter cake. You can try the steak, even the Wagyu, and you'll love it. The lobster mashed potatoes. You'll love them. The amazing live music. The ambiance. The spectacular serve- sure you'll love that too. But the Butter Cake? It will change your life. You will leave a different human than when you walked on. Be prepared, you don't want to be caught off guard by what will be a transcendent out of body culinary experience aka...the Butter Cake. It's worth the trip to Pinnacle Peak. You won't be disappointed, and if you ARE disappointed by the Butter Cake it's undoubtedly a YOU problem, unfortunately.

Mastro's was an awesome dining experience! I'm very picky with my coffee and my steak. So I came with a prejudgment I can do a better steak at home but this place blew it out of the water! For apps we had asparagus tempura, shrimp cocktail, seared chicken and a salad starter. The shrimp cocktail was jumbo and delicious. The presentation was amazing as well! The appetizers were all amazing. The 8oz filet was served medium rare as requested and no gristle or chewy spots to be found. It was so tender and seasoned great. The sides were all tasty as well including the bread. The service at our table from Jared was phenomenal! I'll come back here for the food and his service! I will be back with the family soon!

Ok so I will start out by saying the experience was mostly good as the service was phenomenal with the exception of asking what the occasion was. I like when pricey steakhouses ask about this as it really shows they want to commemorate the moment ; you guys missed the mark there. I've heard this place has great steaks and I will say I'm very picky with steaks but these ones were pretty bad. I first ordered the dry aged ribeye (which was recommended to me) and it had a very irony tasting near the rib cap almost like a liver taste. So that's not a good start for the best part of the steak, then when I brought it up to my service he said "oh" with a sigh and didn't really ask more and just walked away. The middle of the steak was decent but nothing about it said I should be paying $100 dollars for it. Server comes back and asks again about it and I reminded him I didn't like it so he sends the manager over and at this point I wasn't really hungry anymore so we agree to just take a filet home. I went to check out and handed cash to the server and he asks "if I want change." I felt pressure to give him the rest (which is a 30% percent tip) because I felt bad for sending my steak back but in hindsight I feel that was quite tacky. Me and my fiancé proceeded to heat it up the next day and .. well... underwhelming again Pretty underwhelming overall and the more I type the more I realize the serving was really the only good part but the experience really wasn't. I really enjoy Roka and Ocean 44 and will continue to go there because as much as an experience matters if the food quality is low there's no point of me returning to spending that much money when I could've got a similar steak quality at a more conveniently priced chain.

We took a friend here for his birthday dinner, and the service was excellent! The tomahawk wagyu was buttery and melted right in our mouths. We also ordered several other dishes and had the seafood tower! The ambiance was quiet and relaxing.

Mastro's is always our go to, no matter the occasion, it always delivers! Steaks are superb, and their wine list is second to none! We've never had a bad experience, no matter the celebrations!

The CS is exceptional, from the time we walked up to the main entrance to when we left everyone (Hostess, Waitstaff, Busers, Management)was pleasant and thankful that we were dining with them! Eddie took excellent care of us and made the dining experience memorable. Crab Cakes were Yummy! As was the Onion Soup, Branzino, Cauliflower and the Bread Plate. Don't pass up the opportunity if you are in the area!

While we've enjoyed dining at Mastro's many times previously, we dined at their bar area this past Wednesday for the first time. It's a very nice upscale setting. While we enjoyed their bread service and well crafted cocktails, their wedge salads were quite good, as were their crab cakes and lobster cocktail. Special shout out to our server Maddie. What a delightful, friendly personality who was also spot on with her attentive service. It elevated our enjoyment that much more!

Always a perfect experience here. Last night Tobias was our server and he was amazing. He made us feel comfortable, recommended the best things, and generally had good conversation. The lemon drop martini comes crispy cold with a yellow sugar rim and with dry ice so the presentation is show worthy. The gigantic shrimp appetizer has dry ice as well and the shrimp sauce is divine. It comes with 4 giant shrimp that taste superb. For dinner I took Tobias' advice and had the big eye tuna and wow! Seared perfectly with a nice slaw and a very generous portion that I could not make it through. We had a side of the white cheddar Mac and cheese and it is worth every single calorie. We left super satisfied and wanting nothing else. Consistent food and fantastic service every time.

My family dined at Mastro's Steakhouse -North Scottsdale last week and we had a wonderful evening. It was a special occasion for us as we were there in memory of my father since it was his favorite restaurant. Our server, Madison, was aware of our special night and made sure everything was smooth and perfect. We were very pleased with the ambiance, everything and everyone the entire night, including our server Madison, her team and Restaurant Managers, Mike and Phillip. We were warmly greeted when we arrived outside and checked in at the host stand. The food, drinks, desserts and everything was delicious! Madison was absolutely amazing, friendly, professional and went above and beyond our expectations. We are very grateful our bittersweet evening was so enjoyable and special. I made sure to call and speak with the Manager, Mike, to ensure he knew what a wonderful time we had and how pleased we were with the restaurant and staff. Thank you! - Jennifer Ryan

As someone from chicago and have gone to multiple top notch restaurants I have never had such amazing service! Everyone there just so amazing the food obviously delicious we had sautéed shrimp, crab cluster, wedge salad, New York steak, filet, and almost every dessert! Freakin phenomenal.. but the best part of our meal, our server Lorenzo. If you go request him you will not be disappointed.. I would do anything to have him at any of the restaurants I have opened.

Epic fail on our 3rd visit. We would have been fine with everything that went wrong but the manager, Phil, had a condescending attitude that was so irritating that that was enough to say thanks but no thanks.

ALWAYS the best steakhouse, in our mind! Lovely ambiance, amazing food and attentive service--they make you feel like you are their only table. Try the Lemon Drop--not just a drink, but an experience!

If you want pristine customer service and an upscale fine dining experience this is the place to visit for any special occasion. The dining room had dimmed lighting for a romantic and warm ambiance. We enjoyed fresh seafood and the price reflects the quality of the food. If you are on a budget make sure to confirm the market value price for the lobster tail and king crab legs. We came prepared to enjoy our anniversary meal and feel like it was worth every penny. The waiter and the supervisor came by to check on us to make sure we were happy with our food and to ask if we needed anything. Our food was served to us and then our leftovers were boxed up and brought to us in a bag to go. This will be our once a year special dinner to celebrate our anniversary because it's the best experience one can have! We went to the camelback location but all locations are amazing

A 6th wedding anniversary to remember. My wife and I celebrated with my parents and were treated to excellent service only surpassed by excellent food in fact I was so impressed by the personalized menu (photo below) that I forget to take pictures of the main course! Steak. Likely the best 8oz petite filet I've ever had. To be sure though, I'll need to go back a few dozen times... Sautéed mushrooms, epic. Snap peas, could have used a little salt but I didn't add any myself. Lobster mashed potatoes, rich and creamy and delicious. Finally the butter cake. I didn't try the ice cream (lactose) but my dad devoured it for us. The cake itself was semi crispy on the outside and perfectly spongy on the inside. The staff were more courteous and professional than I deserve. Is it pricey? Yes. Compared to the food and service though, it's worth every single penny.

I don't know if they get old dairy cow meat from California but I do know the price they charge is not realistic for the meat they serve. The filet is the worst I've ever experienced, if you want me to dress up then you better fix me a good flavorful steak, you missed the mark. If you want luxury and fine dining with an awesome steak, please chose Ruth's Chris, they know how to season and cook a steak.

This restaurant, service, atmosphere and food is outstanding. From the moment you drive up to the restaurant until you leave, your experience is percent perfect. The Valet starts you off by being pleasant, with a great sense of humor. The hostesses are sweet, the servers are top notch and the food is beyond great!!! Anyone that does not give this restaurant a perfect score does not know great food and service. We live in Wickenburg and drive to Scottsdale for great food and culture. Mastro's is one of our favorites! Always have a great experience!

We sat at the bar on Fri night for dinner and it was amazing!! The service, food, drinks were all spot on. First time to this location. They had valet parking which is appreciated. I love the mixed bread bowl, always fresh and warm with plenty of butter. The dressing on the ceasar is one of my favorites, the anchovy (in the dressing) provides a salty inflection but it is not fishy. I had a single crab cake with twice baked potato. The crab cake had no filler, was accompanied with half an avocado and a tangy remoulade. My friend had a sizzling 8oz steak and humongous baked potato. We finished with chocolate gelato that was so sinful, rich and silky. Treat yourself! The dirty martini with blue cheese olives hit the spot. Enjoy!

We arranged a dinner for our grandson's engagement to honor he and his fiance. When we entered the restaurant the very first thing we noticed was a disgusting smell of sewer filling the entrance (making us wonder if we indeed wanted to dine, as it was sickening! For a restaurant of this caliber, it would be of the utmost importance to address and rid this smell. Before making a reservation, we will ask if the problem has been resolved. If NOT we will dine elsewhere. We were good patrons spending $500. or so dollars.

Absolutely amazing food and experience! Tim and Nick took care of our party, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and welcomed. Atmosphere is on another level, life music, perfect lighting, and great vibes! Highly recommend for a nice night out

We came back for our corporate dinner and this place never disappoints! We had an abundance of delicious appetizers, great wine and enjoyed live music. If you want an elegant evening out, definitely check this out!

This location is phenomenal thanks to GM Mike and his team. The energy is awesome and it is clear they want us to have a great experience! Phil is a great addition to the team. Mike and Phil work the room to make sure every guest has a special dining experience. The pretzel bread is to die for. The chopped salad is super delicious. The porterhouse steak is so awesome. We love it sliced off the bone on a sizzling hot plate. The Mac and cheese is a pure treat and the asparagus rounds out the meal. The drinks are a nice pour to complement the fantastic food. The butter cake is unbelievable with the ice cream and fruit accompaniments! A favorite of ours for sure! The chef does a great job to serve a consistent meal! Thank you Mike and team!

Still on cloud nine after our amazing night at Mastro's. From making the reservation to the end of the night they made our night even more special. We chose Mastro's for our 20th Anniversary after hearing so many great things. We were seated right away at a high top we requested and were given menus to look over as well as our drink orders. Our menu's even said Happy 20th Anniversary at the top. How cool is that? Soon another employee came and asked if we'd like bread at the table. We were pleased to see it was 4 assorted breads with a side of butter. The pretzel bread was phenomenal. The lighting is romantic, some may say too dark to read menus etc so may need some light from your phone, but I loved it. There was a gentleman singing live. He was amazing. It was the perfect sound level to enjoy talking with your party. We started with the shrimp cocktail as well as lobster bisque. Both were amazing. They offer cream and chives to be added at the table once the soup arrives. There was a great amount of lobster and so creamy. Everything was so delicious and I was afraid if I kept eating I wouldn't be able to eat my actual dinner ha ha. We both chose steak, 8oz filet mignon and a bone in filet 12 oz I believe . For our shareable sides we chose garlic mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and asparagus. When it all arrived at the table the employees were so quick to help clear our other items we'd finished to make room our dinner. They offered to plate the sides for us and oh my goodness, SO DELICIOUS! My wine paired well with it all. Just when I thought the night couldn't get any better they surprised is with cheesecake and phenomenal whipped cream. Hands down some of the best cheesecake I've ever had. We left so full. Thank you so much for an amazing night. We can't wait to come back.

This is my favorite restaurant in the valley! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Our favorite waiter is Allen, a true gentleman who has a great sense of humor. Thank you, Allen!

Waaay over priced, but it is high style. Bartenders tend to be jerks and act like they're doing you a favor by pouring you an $18 glass of vodka. Great place to take someone you want to impress.

Honestly, worst dinner ever. Let's start at the beginning. Waiter: man with a beard (not important) served us. Uniform, stained, spots drips, pants dirty. Food. Bad real bad. Halibut over cooked, dry, no flavor. Came with no sauces to at least dip in. Brussel sprouts. Burned to a crisp, I mean fried to almost nothing. Scallop potatoes, like the Brussel sprouts, fried to a crisp. burned. Second meal Chilain sea bass. Again dry, over cooked, no sauce, flavorless. Dinner cost $250, what a waist. Not the same place when the Mastros owned it... Big disappointment ‍

My first experience was not good at all, but Mike the GM fixed that for us and turned it into one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I'm very grateful to the staff for caring about making their guests happy, and providing excellent service. Was a 10/10 experience and now I will be back, but I must say Mike the GM really made it special for us, so thanks to him. Food was amazing, and service was awesome. Would definitely recommend. Everyone is so kind.

Great ambience and service, no complaints Came for a group event with set menu. Caesars salad wasn't anything to be impressed about. Nor were the sides of corn nor mash potatoes. Steak was good, not great. Cheese cake did rock! Will I come back, yeah, for the overall experience, but I've had better, LOL

Took my honey here for dinner yesterday before musicfest concert expecting to be wowed (my first time). I love cooking and have never had friends leave my table unhappy. 1. Service...Absolutely fantastic! 2. Ambiance...What you'd expect for a place you're going to lay down over $400 for dinner for 2. 3. Food...Well let's just say; go to Taxas Steakhouse and save 3 bills. My "Dry-aged" ribeye flavor-wise and toughness was of less quality than a Costco ribeye. My garlic mashed potatoes..the su-chief must have prepared being chased around by multiple cooks because garlic was missing! 4. Mushrooms were okay; but nothing special. Bottom line...when I eat at a place like this; I would like to...days later, saver in my mind a "fantastic meal"!

Update.... Took advantage of manager Mike's offer and returned on Dec. 6 to Mastro's. We were seated in a much quieter room more conducive to conversation . We started off with the holiday drink which was delightful. Next was the Rec Hill wine. As usual the wine list did not disappoint. Our Appetizer of carpaccio was great and were the scallops. The service from our waiter was excellent. The entree of rack of lamb was shared and cooked spot on medium rare as ordered. My friend said her pork chop was tender and the best one she has ever had. Vegetables of creamed corn and asparagus were very good. It was a birthday celebration so we were given complimentary cheesecake which was very creamy . The butter cake was amazing. Another had the very different pecan pie was different. All in all a superb dinner. Glad we gave it a second chance. Thank you , Mike.

I love this restaurant. Unfortunately the singer is so tone deaf we can't stand to come anymore. As soon as my husband walks up and hears her on the speakers outside he makes us go to a different restaurant.

Celebrated my birthday here. First time having real A5 Japanese wagyu steak, and it sure is top quality! The meat was cooked to perfection; literally melts in your mouth like butter! Definitely recommend 1000%

The food, service and ambiance was exceptional!! We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday and it was one for the books!!!

The original Mastros! They basically invented fine dining. Plan to spend $200/person and really indulge, you don't want to come here on a budget. Don't forget the butter cake! I do miss the Gorgonzola Mac and cheese!

First time and we went for our 32 anniversary. Recommended by a friend. Super loud hard to hear each other speak. Service was very slow. Drinks went empty until we asked. Has to ask 2 times for my second drink from the bar. Took forever for food. Spilled my drink and no one offered any assistance Definitely not worth the money. Printed menu and they got the years wrong. Potato's cold. Won't recommend to anyone. Management was interesting with our concern when brought issues to their attention.

GREAT Mothers Day buffet and we always have the best service service here ( Lisa was our server for this special day). manager is always attentive to ensure we are receiving the quality of food and service we've grown to expect.

Superior Service! Our waiter was conscientious and observant! My Sin Flew from San Francisco to spend 2 days with me to celebrate my upcoming birthday Which is my 77 and officially happens on January 4th. We started our meal with a Shrimp Cocktail. 4 Humongous Shrimp , Classic Cocktail Sauce in the Center. A secret horseradish sauce on the side. Iceberg Wedge Salad mixed with Blue Cheese and Bacon . Love My Bacon. No drinks for me. Josh, my son had a Dirty Martini. NY Strip Steak;one side is Fillet Minion and the other is Steak. Creamed Spinach, Mashed Potatoes whipped to perfection and roasted Brussels Sprouts. Finally Birthday Surprise Which I shared with Josh. Maestro's is famous for it's Butter Cake. My son an I have not celebrated a birthday in 25 years. Perfect treat for both of us.

Have you ever been here? Well, you should. Let's start with the ambience, it's sultry for a date, but inviting for a family celebration. The service is non stop -- Michael, the GM, will take care of any need. I doubt you will need that ask because the staff is ON IT! Lindsey, Ashley, Martin, and Rolo are above and beyond. And that's just a fraction of the incredible associates. Enjoy the food. You won't go home hungry or disappointed.

Good times at Mastro's. We have no complaints!! Always great service, employees go out of their way to make you feel good. Bartenders are great, wine menu good. Steaks and sides are always outstanding. Don;t forget their butter cake. OMG. You will be happy you ordered it! Valet parking or park yourself. Live music or DJ music. Bar get hopping on Friday nights!

Went to the Mastros while visiting Arizona for the holidays it did not disappoint. We went early around 5:30 on a Friday it was not to busy at all. Had a nice table in the bar area, our waitress was wonderful. I ordered the Chilean sea bass it was outstanding, wife ordered a 22 oz steak that was delicious ans a few sides !! We usually go to the mastros in Newport Beach. This one was also great we will be back next time we in town

I'm so disappointed in Mastro's. It continues to decline. Waited to be seated even though no one else was waiting, had a reservation with the table type we requested, but no different than had we just walked in. Once at the table, no water for over 5 minutes. That is a huge differential from the old Mastro's. Then another long wait to order a drink. On the plus side, and why I still give them 3 stars is the steaks were awesome and cooked exactly as we requested. But the sides! OMG - the sauteed spinach was dry! We had to ask for butter, and since the servers don't come around like they used to, we were half done eating. The other thing, remember when they would bring the sides and dish them out, as if they really appreciated your business?? Not any more, the guy comes out and drops them on the table and scurries away. All this on a Monday night, when it was not even 1/4 full. Funny, with the drastic drop in service and staff, how the prices keep going up. I won't be surprised when we hear the doors are closing. I suspect Prestons closing will extend their run here, but it's eventually closing is inevitable based on this trajectory.

Food and atmosphere were wonderful! What made it even more special was the piano player Daniel . We sang to the music while enjoying the family style sides with our entrees . I had the salmon grilled which was way too big of a portion so I had to take half home. It would be nice to offer smaller portions or to suggest sharing some entrees. The butter cake was amazing as well.

I was hesitant about bringing my wife here for her 66th B-day, but took a chance on advice from a friend. We're not big spenders and most of these st Al houses skimp on portions. We couldn't be happier. No regrets, other than I can't give them 6 stars. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by 2 lovelies like we were family. The coolest thing was a menu that had "Happy 66th Birthday, Georgia" printed at the top. The martinis (gin w/blue cheese olives) were perfectly prepared. One tumbler was enough for both of us. My aged ribeye was tender and flavorful like no other. The dry aging does keep the meat more on the dry side, but juicy enough to melt in your mouth. My wife has the grilled Branzino whitefish which she ate with tears of joy at the perfectly prepared entree. Their side dishes are large enough for 2 -3 people to share. The scalloped potatoes were insane. We had lots leftovers. Our server was wonderful, friendly, kept a distant watch but never bothered us every 5 minutes. She was a real pro. The management surprised us with a complimentary hot butter cake with ice cream and strawberry sauce. When this arrived, we were so full, we kept going. We couldn't help it. It needed to be enjoyed at that moment. A huge thanks to Mike, the GM who made this memorable evening possible. Food, drinks, service, and even the prices were 5 star. We're going back for my birthday in April !

The Mastro's on Pinnacle Peak is not only my neighborhood restaurant but also my favorite location. The bar staff is friendly and the food is always well prepared. Mike the manager makes it a point to greet me by name each time I visit. When you're there you have to order the cheesecake or the Buttercake for dessert, it's a must. Also the Brussel sprouts and lobster Mac n cheese will make put you in a good coma it's extremely delicious!! I came by to celebrate getting my real estate license and the wait staff added a candle to my dessert. So sweet!
