"Matt Torrey’s is the sort of sleek East Williamsburg sports bar that would be impossible to imagine a couple decades ago. But beyond the slightly anonymous aesthetic and football-focused crowd, it has complimentary bagels with all the necessary fixings every Saturday and Sunday. Cash only." - Paul Schrodt

Highly recommended!! Great place to drink a beer after work! Place looks really nice and people are very friendly

a friend of mine and I popped in here after dinner on a week night. it was quiet but still very nice. the bartender was friendly and made our drinks quickly and with care. the place is huge inside and after a visit to the bathroom, I saw several ads that they have a few specials each night throughout the week. I would go back for sure, its a nice neighborhood bar.

Came here for election night, and was disappointed they never put it over the speakers. Staff are especially friendly and helpful. Beer selection could use some modernization. Prices are normal for the area. Huge windows up front make for some prime people watching / fresh air. Limited food options. Restrooms are unisex and clean.

Great local bar with a large beer collection. Has a few TVs with a projector to view the games. There also live music on some nights since the owner is in a band. The bartenders are always friendly to me and even offer free shots sometimes.

Decent, basic bar. It's kind of far from the subway making it more of a local place, which is probably how the locals like it to be. Nice selection of beers on tap at very reasonable prices. Scotch selection is small, but well rounded.

Multiple times coming here from out of town and never had the same bartender. It always had great service. I’m not sure of exactly what I want or how they’ll make it but they’re always nice and work with me to get me the perfect drink

The bartender Tom acted very inconvenienced that I walked into the bar. Rudely asking “ Can I help you?” From a bar stool while browsing Facebook on his laptop. Then took about 5 minutes to make his was around the back of the bar to get me a tap menu and wait for me to order a beer. Yet when one of his hipster friends walk in it’s no issue for him to quickly serve them a beer and completely ignore me again in the process. My friends and I have been frequenting this bar since 2013 and I have to say, y’all have lost a few customers. This bar and service has been going down hill since summer of 2018. I’ve finally had enough and posting a review about this bar.

If nearby Harefield Road weren't my go-to local bar, this would definitely be a contender. The space is stunning, with big windows that somehow make Bushwick Ave look better than it actually does. Plenty of great beers and friendly staff. Plus: free bagels on weekends midday, if you're looking for a cheap brunch-and-beer substitue.

Yelp
It was so fun!! Very kind staff and delicious drinks. Good ambiance and space for a birthday party

Yelp
I came because I'll follow Iain wherever he goes. He's the best bartender ever. When I came they had 'glizzies' aka hot dogs . They were amazing. I've been here 3x since. I recommend the Peach Mai Tai and mollys mint lemonade . They have a lot of pop ups here. Anyways come casual and comfy with your friends and have a good time

Yelp
Loved it when it was Matt Torrey's, love it now that it's Common Mollies. No frills, lotsa seats, usually a dog or two, several cocktail options. What's not to love

Allie D.

Yelp
Great new neighborhood spot. The cocktails are really yummy and decently priced during happy hour. I recommend the mint lemonade if you like a vodka based drink that's not too sweet. Plenty of room for bigger parties but cozy as well in those back booths. Also dog friendly!!

Yelp
Busy bar - rather what you'd expect as they cater to every taste. One tv for football, some dance music playing and a pop up wings place for food. A tv with a nature show. Another with MTV spring break. A dart board. The only place to serve a gin and tonic sans lime. And they play Radio. free Europe by REM. No real theme but you can have fun.
