The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About

"While MattChews used to be at the ghost kitchen at Forrest Eatery, this late-night haven was temporarily closed for months. They re-opened in April with their very own food stall in the Municipal Market. But don't worry, the bulgogi cheesesteak is still on the menu. " - juli horsford, jacinta howard

Best Sandwiches in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located inside the Sweet Auburn Municipal Market, MattChews serves Korean-American comfort dishes, including the crave-worthy bulgogi cheesesteak. This messy, but oh-so-good sandwich comes with marinated bulgogi ribeye, which is then topped with carrots, scallions, bell peppers, caramelized onions, melted provolone, and drizzles of honey sriracha mayo stuffed in a Cuban hoagie roll. The jerk chicken is another great sandwich option at MattChews, which comes dressed with teriyaki sauce topped with pineapple slaw, scallions, and sesame seeds on a toasted bun. Vegan options are also available." - Eater Staff

MattChews - Review - Old Fourth Ward - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"MattChews used to be a late-night haven operating out of the Forrest Eatery ghost kitchen. After a temporary hiatus (we mourned their saucy bulgogi cheesesteaks each night the clock struck midnight), the Asian fusion restaurant opened at Municipal Market with an expanded menu. Unfortunately, they only operate during daylight hours. But we’re happy to add them to our lunch rotation since we can reunite with their cheesesteak and other great fusion dishes like their bánh mì smashburger. Somehow two patties and a buttery bun come fresher than the Prince of Bel-Air with the addition of pickled carrots, cucumber, and jalapeños. photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair" - Juli Horsford

ALL THINGS WITH TIP

Google
Great option for lunch. I got the egg fried rice with shrimp added, with yum yum sauce and soy sauce on the side. They were very busy. My order still came out quick. I enjoyed my meal and I will definitely return to try their other menu items.

I was at Grady hospital and decided to stop at the Municipal Market since I had not been there in quite a few years. I ordered the honey ginger grilled salmon with fried rice. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the fried rice was absolutely the best! Very generous portions. I live about 25 miles away but it’s worth drive.

Google
We ordered the honey ginger salmon with friend rice and wow it was fantastic! They were working on a catering order but were paying close attention to the customers. The salmon and fried rice was a very large portion and delicious! Highly recommend!

Google
The cashier and staff are slow to acknowledge you or don't speak at all. The cashier, tall male, also couldn't give us any recommendations. His response was he make his own food and not what's on the menu. The hibachi rice was very dry and under cooked. No flavors at all. Real basic rice with veggies. The shrimp was tasty but that was it.

Google
my coworkers and i traveled from new york for a conference and walked to the municipal market for our lunch break. not only is this DELICIOUS cuisine, but the staff are such hard workers and you can tell their dedication and craft to their food. truly a delight and must stop if staying in the downtown area!!!

Let me start by saying that this is my first-ever review. I was greeted so gracefully, that I knew I picked the right place. Especially with me being so indecisive on top of it being my first time there. I had no idea what I wanted, but I was guided and talked through the menu. I could just tell by the order/cleanliness, teamwork, and hospitality that they cared. AND THE FOOD WAS TOP-TIER! MADE WITH LOVE AND TALENT! MATTCHEWS IS ALL ACROSS THE BOARD THE BEST.

Just around the corner from Urban Tree Cidery is Matt Chews...what a one two punch! Heck, go pick up Matt Chews and then RUN over to the Cidery and just sit back and enjoy the delicious flavors of both! Being vegetarian we decided on the Beyond Mi Burger a Plant-based beyond burger with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumbers, jalapenos, cilantro, Boston lettuce, vegan aioli on a vegan sesame bun for $16.00. The burger is glazed in a teriyaki sauce and the bun is so soft it is if a Hawaiian bun and Wonder Bread bun had a baby...this is that bun! Then we thought that should be enough but if we don't come back to the Atlanta area for a while we don't want to miss out!!! Tried the Vegan Philly Cheesesteak Beyond meat with carrots, scallions, bell peppers, caramelized onions, vegan cheese & vegan aioli on a Cuban hoagie. $17.00 As good as this is, I loved the burger more. For a lady the burger to bun ratio is perfect and the flavor is POW! The hoagie/sub felt more, we'll, just more. Next up were were the Kimchi Fries Crispy fries topped with honey sriracha, kimchi, melted provolone, scallions. $6.50 Holy Moly!!!💕 Get the fries, get 2! If you love fries and Kimchi....why is everyone not doing this! Brilliant...this meal just took a month off my life but it was worth it. Order just :10-:15 before you want it, pull down the street to eat. Not a lot of places to park there. Be respectful of the neighbors that live there. Saw a few folks parked in front of driveways... The gentleman that came out to our car, yup the car, to deliver the food, super sweet/nice/polite...tip well! It is so worth it ;) Go and enjoy!

Google
Mattchews is a healthy sandwich shop in the Edgewood Municipal Market. They have vegan options, meat options, and Asian sandwich choices. The Beyond Philly is pretty tasty! The Beyond meet is seasoned well though a bit more cheez would have been good. The service was kind and friendly! It's worth a visit!

Yelp
So came here on a week day around 12. Came before the rush. This place has 99 on its health department grade btw. Large menu - I got the habatchi plate pineapple fried rice with the shrimp with extra veggies and a strawberry sweet tea Around $32. But ... huge portion! Omg I loved it it was very good. Shrimp was nice and crunchy veggies cooked right the rice was so flavorful ! The sweet tea was good ! Never had strawberry sweet tea ! I will definitely be back to explore the menu

Yelp
I'm sorry yall but I forgot to start with the picture this is the salmon bites with kimchi fried rice spicy.. when I tell you I had already eaten 4 of the bites and half the rice. This is my 2nd time having the food and it's just as fresh and amazing! A hidden gem in the market!! Please go support !!!

Yelp
Have you ever unconsciously clinched your booty cheeks together in the midst of excitement, and then consciously catch yourself? Can you call a burger refreshing? There's too much happening and I love it!!! The food from this establishment is great. I recommend 10 out of 10. No dine in, just place your order online and wait for your food to be brought out to your car. If you're famished, looking for a good meal late at night (closes at 3AM), don't feel like cooking and within the city limits.... Here you go. This is it right here.

Yelp
We ordered this late night and I must say the options were nice to see on a menu besides the average wings and fries so I loved that. The flavors were all there. Just needs some more sauce so it can travel better. But cool place to try

Yelp
Late night Arrived in the "A" after a delayed flight and the weather was bad...so to Grub Hub I go for a quick meal late night I ordered the full UK steak and cheese with fries I was quite impressed The meat was tender and seasoned well, The bread was also soft I will definitely go back again and eat in The fees on GrubHub are a little high, but it was worth it

Yelp
Happy to report I just enjoyed another dish at MattChews! They are consistently meeting the mark with fresh, well seasoned, hot food that I would order again & again! This time I had the garlic noodles...Perfectly seasoned & fried with zucchini, scallions, peppers, & Parmesan. You can add protein if you wish...today I opted to add the banging fried shrimp & they were spicy yet flavorful as well! Enjoy

Yelp
Don't let the pictures fool you - MattChews is not a sit down restaurant. I feel the need to put that out there first and foremost because I took my husband here for date night and sure felt a fool once we got here. Instead of tables and chairs, we encountered one of the most complex hub of take-out only restaurants with a tableted ordering system. MattChews is just one of the restaurants who rent the kitchen space behind the walls here, and the chairs are for those awaiting their orders. You can get there first and order through the tablets, but it's probably far easier to order online and get there once the food is ready. When you arrive, there is a simple check-in to let the restaurant know you're there, and the person at the booth will either call your name or your food will be made available one of the clearly numbered lockers. Now that that's out of the way, we should get to the food. MattChews offers some of the most generous serving sizes of rice plates I've ever encountered from a takeout place. The containers seem like they're the same size as any other place, but don't be fooled. These have a deeper bottom AND they're wider (we got home and checked - all our other Chinese takeout containers are laughably puny next to these), which is why you'll see some higher prices on the menu. We ordered the fried rice with the salmon and egg, which was just stupendous - a generous portion of perfectly cooked salmon and a runny egg whose yolk sauced the rice underneath in the most lascivious manner. It was good enough to make us forget we were eating in our car in the parking lot.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last night and I'm glad I did. Ordered the bulgogi fried rice (generous portion) and the garlic noodles. Both were very delicious and coupled with Matt's warm and respectful demeanor, this place is a must try!! I'll be a more frequent customer from now on! 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
This food hall is extremely interesting especially because in NJ I have never seen this form of to go dining. You're probably like what is she talking about ? Basicallyyyy the food hall has several different restaurants that have their own kitchens in the building and they pump out delicious food! I found MattChews through yelp but I was able to place the order through the site yelp provided. My order was ready within 15 minutes and sorry for the let down but I didn't get the chance to eat my food until an hour and a half of picking it up. Regardlessss the pickled onions are a perfect touch of acidity for the fried chicken with the spicy Asian sauce. Absolutely looveed it! AND on a Hawaiian Role people the king of all rolls that are sweet! This sandwich is crazy good if I haven't made that clear loll (btw... they were cold people!) Needless to say I can't imagine what they would've tasted like if I had eaten them right after picking them up. Next time I'm in Atlanta I'll def try them again! *also if you can tell from my picture ~ I was way too hungry to exhibit self constraint before taking a pic but ''twas devoured *

Yelp
This restaurant displays a lack of professionalism and seems very disorganized. I won't be purchasing anything with them in the future ever again. I placed an order tonight and when I called to inquire about it, an unhelpful individual answered the phone and remained discourteous throughout our conversation. I was calmly explaining that my order was incomplete, but he veered off-topic and didn't seem well-informed about my order. Instead, he attempted to give the impression of understanding and telling me that he doesn't have time to sit on the phone for a hour with me, meanwhile we had only been on the phone for 2 mins when he said that. If he was listening correctly, he could have simply came up with a solution but chose to be ignorant. If I had his name, I would consider reporting this incident. For the owners of this establishment, your employee that is on shift tonight 08/30/23 between 10:48pm - 10:51pm is very unprofessional and not suitable for his position. You have truly lost a loyal customer. I am very disappointed in the service that was received and will be reporting this further to other platforms.

Yelp
Vegan Bahn Mi? Say less. But wait. && FRIES!? But wait.... && DELIVERY?! #triplethreat

Yelp
Overall 4/5: My friend and I uber eats from here one night and it tasted so good! Food 4/5: We ordered the bulgogi cheesesteak and the fried chick banh mi. Both sounded weird, but we were definitely not disappointed. The fried chick banh mi was kind of dry, but they provided enough sauce to make up for it. The fries were amazing, thick and crispy. Everything came still hot and not soggy at all even though we ordered delivery. Amazing food! Thank you, MattChews.

Yelp
I love the fact that they're open late in the city because literally nothing is open so late. The selection is great. My cousin had the wings and fried rice. They loved it but I did not love my loco sandwich so much because the patty and the sauce had no flavor. There's definitely levels to the sandwich. The fried rice was the best part for me. I wish it had more flavor elsewhere. Concept is interesting. Maybe I'll try something else next time.

Yelp
I decided to try MattChews one night after continuously seeing it on food delivery apps. I ordered directly on the site and intended to go pick it up myself since I don't live far. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with bangin' fried shrimp. I received text messages along the way, which was really nice. In no time, I got a phone call and text telling me my food was ready for pick-up, so I went over to get it. Someone delivered it to my car and that was that - quick and easy! Once I got back home, I was excited to dig in because it smelled and looked good. Upon tasting it, I was pleased. It had good taste and flavor and was a great portion. I do feel like the combinations of the pineapple, the sauce/breading on the shrimp, and the sauce drizzled on top didn't quite mesh well, but I still enjoyed it.

Yelp
BLUF: worth trying once and definitely a second time to see if the food is better and worth the price. Not at all what I expected when I ordered in terms of the pick up but it looks like it's a cool spot or potentially shared kitchen serving multiple different restaurants with a common pick up area. The food: Ordered the kimchi fries with a over easy egg and the bulgogi cheesesteak. The fries were already pretty soggy when I picked them up and there wasn't nearly enough toppings to justify the cost of the fries. Maybe it was just an off plating but was mediocre and I'd rather have the fries from Hankook. The bulgogi cheesesteak was a really great cheesesteak but there was no bulgogi to it. If you want a delish cheesesteak definitely go for it but I would try something else before I ordered it again.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. I was shocked when I found out about this place cause they have a ton of healthy food options and they're open super late. It's a no brainer to order food from here for a late Saturday night kinda meal or for lunch any day. I recommend the egg fried rice with beyond meat. Extremelyyyy tasty and the portion size is huge- I usually have a good amount leftover for the next day. The unique thing about this restaurant is that it's takeout only and built into a place called Forrest eatery that contains a lot of similar restaurants. Conveniently located in west midtown off of Howell road.
google avatar

Meagan D.

Yelp
Ordered the cheesesteak and Reuben sandwiches. I see those saying the cheesesteak was salty, I did not have that experience. My sandwich was on the spicy side because of the peppers with a bit of sweet. I got the Reuben for my mom and loved her sandwich more! I order by phone and they brought it to my car. No issues there with customer service. The menu I saw did say it came with chips but it came with fries. Perhaps I saw an older menu because prices were different as well.

Yelp
I've gotten takeout from here once and Jesus the portions are massive. I got the loco moco sandwich and could barely get through half of it before i got full. Super flavorful, would love to try what else they've got.

Yelp
I have been wanting to check out this place since it opened. I happened to be off today and decided to check it out for lunch. We called ahead to order and they asked what car we drive so they can bring out our food to be "covid friendly". We drove down Forrest St and there's a dark grey building to the right. There are no clear sign of where the restaurant is, but it's that building (800). There are more parking behind the building as well. I got charged for dinner pricing when I ordered at lunch time. The gentleman said it's because I didn't specify. Make sure you say you're ordering from the lunch menu when you call. I got the bull-go-gi cheesesteak, pork my buns and kimchi fried rice. Everything was packed in sturdy containers and presented beautifully. The bag even has a stamp of their logo. The food was tasty! I would have to say the pork my buns are my favorite. The Asian flavor really shines through and the pork belly is cooked nice and crisp. I love the little buns as vessels for every bite. The bull-go-gi cheesesteak is packed with flavor and was very tasty as well. I didn't taste too much of Korean spices other maybe the spicy mayo, but it was a good sandwich regardless. The kimchi fried rice was nice. All the ingredients taste fresh and the flavors are really good. Worth the $40 I spend on "lunch".

Yelp
This establishment has rude workers who could not add onions to a burger. At my first visit with this business they became upset with a nasty attitude for simply asking for condiments. The food is very expensive for the quality provided and the portions are small. I will not patronize this business again as I found them to be very disrespectful.
google avatar

Justin N.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious. As a Vietnamese-American, the Bulgolgi cheesesteak sandwich perfectly blended the two flavors. The Vegan options make this place a friendly option for all eating restrictions as well. You have plentiful options has well as the site is home to 5 different restaurants that make it great to pick up food for everyone. With COVID-19 in mind: MattChews provides a contactless pickup which makes me feel very safe as a customer.

Yelp
The food here is delicious. He does a great spin on Asian fusion foods . We ordered the loco moco, wings with frys and pineapple fried rice . The loco moco was amazing , it comes with a meat patty covered in sauté onions and fried rice with your style of egg all in between two pieces of bread. It also came with gravy and when I poured the gravy on top of the sandwich, it was a great combination. The wings are amazing , crispy and sweet with a lot of meat on the wings. If you love Asian fusion , you should try this spot out . It's great! Fyi, you should order through an app so you don't have to wait for pickup because everything goes through the apps atm.
google avatar

Ro V.

Yelp
Place order online on their website coz they don't have a physical restaurant u can go into. I had the loco moco and the fried rice was pretty legit. But for me I like the gravy a lil thicker but then again it was still hot n fresh when I got it so maybe it would've thickened up later but I couldn't wait. Lol. Over all good was gods n will order there again . Sorry to pics coz I was hungry.

Yelp
I've been ordering takeout from MattChew's for a while now. Honestly - I've yet to be disappointed. It's really fresh, delicious Korean fusion. Last night I did Ubereats and got the Bahn.Com burger. Oh man, one of my favorites. They use two fresh burger patties and top the burger with fresh veggies (no cheese) and a bit of a spicy mayo (not too much). You get this sweet vinegary sauce to drizzle on top - honestly the burger patties on their own are excellent but the meatiness plus a little fat from the mayo, with the freshness of the veggies and the bit of acid on top is heaven. I get mine with fried rice, have yet to have a fried rice there that isn't addictive. I always have at least one-two more servings of it to eat when I'm done. I've also had the Bulgogi Cheesesteak, the JerkYaki Philly, and would recommend them both. If you're a kimchi fan the kimchi fried rice and kimchi fries are both great- their fries come crispy not mushy. One last recommendation - they actually know how to cook a chicken wing. Honestly I've yet to be disappointed by this place and have probably ordered from them a dozen times or more.

Yelp
This was another example of yelp not failing me. I wanted something new and delicious, and this fit the bill. I placed my order online for a Buil-Go-GI Cheese Steak Sandwich and set my pick-up time. It was my first time visiting the kitchen space, and I didn't allow enough time for traffic. When I arrived, my food was in a bit of a locker, but the bag was securely closed. Traffic was not my friend on the way home, so I had to give it a little nuke in the microwave. This was hands down one of the best sandwiches I've had. The steak was tender and had a great flavor, and the bread was nice and soft. Please do yourself a favor and try it.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the Loco Moco Patty Melt! The staff was very friendly and the food was prepared quickly. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu in the future! These sandwiches are so unique! A fresh take on some classic American sandwiches, fused with a rich Asian flavor!

Stacey D.

Yelp
This place no longer exists. It's a multi-restaurant kitchen with about 15 different "restaurants" preparing take away orders only. None of those establishments is called MattChews. The location is called Forrest Eatery you can order at their website but Matt Jews menu is not there.
google avatar

Yelp
We were starving after a concert and couldn't find anything downtown open late, we found this and it was 100% worth the drive. Phenomenally delicious, the bulgogi is to die for, the Philly jerkyaki is great too! Highly recommend!!!

Will A.

Yelp
DON'T order here through ubereats. I've had two orders cancelled back to back for reasons I don't know. On both orders drivers would arrive at Matthew's, wait for maybe 20 minutes and then I assume cancel on their own because a new driver would show up on the app to pick up the order and then repeat the process. I never got charged for either order but I also never got the food. This place through ubereats is a major inconvenience. I leave it with a 2 stars because when you actually get the food, it is good.

Yelp
Impressed First time diner! (Note: delivery, not eaten at resturant) My initial impression is that this place gets flavor. Its defintely comfort/guilty pleasure/late night food but that doesnt mean it cant be well executed with balanced flavors. The bulgogi Cheesesteak is a no brainer. Steak marinated in Gochujang & friends (sweet, spicy and tangy). The strong flavors from the bulgogi are mellowed by the addition of gooey melty cheese. Sauteed bell peppers and onions give the samdwhuch satisfying crunch. My one issue and this is likely a product of delvery vs fresh is that the bread was too soft. A little crunch would have helped by adding more contrasting textures. The Veggie fried rice was equally delicious. The rice was seasoned well, the fried egg still had a runny yolk (which is amazing considered it was delivered) and the rice/veggies had a hint of that smokiness/char you csn only get on a hibachi grill top or in a flaming wok. Overall i would highky recomend for a casual dinner or a night cap after tossing a few back

Yelp
I ordered the egg fried rice w/ banging shrimp + honey ginger salmon. I had such a cool experience I don't even know what to write lol. Most of us saw them open as a late night spot w/ delivery on uber-eats but I don't trust them so I called in a pick-up. The distance was about how long it would've taken them to prepare my food. He brought it out to the car when I got there (where we paid), order was correct, and everything was still very fresh the xtra +15 it took me to get home and of course it was delicious! you Will have leftovers! I will say if you're like me, grab an extra honey ginger or Asian sauce. But I keep Rusans spicy Mayo at home, so for me 5/5!? superb. I'll be back.

Yelp
This place was pretty good, but I think I expected more before I got there. My friend and I saw this place on Yelp and were really excited about the menu and then we got to the location and it looked like it didn't exist. We quickly figured out its inside this building, but there is no name of the place outside or anything. We ordered the kim chee fries, the philly cheesesteak banh mi, and the fried chicken banh mi I believe. We ended up placing the order when we got there so we had to go and come back after twenty minutes. Everything was pretty good. We went to a park nearby to eat since they don't have any seating or a patio and it was really good, but I think I would have enjoyed it more on plates and silverware etc, instead of to-go containers. I want to try some of the other dishes, but the excitement wasn't quite there while I was actually eating the good-tasting food.

Yelp
The food was awesome. I had to take one star off because the wings suppose to come with fried rice not fries. But you'll love this food here guaranteed! Oh! This is a call in and order spot. You can pick up or GrubHub/Doordash it.

Yelp
I'd rather give a 3.5 stars. I don't normally do reviews on ToGo orders but the employee who handed me my food stated to make sure I did a review. So here we go. We ordered online because we were looking for places that stayed open late. The menu was short but peaked my interest. Asian fusion fast food. We ordered the egg fried rice with banging fried shrimp added and the Hot chick buns with a side of fried rice. It didn't give me an option to pay online but it gave me a confirmation number and instructions on what to do when I got to the restaurant. The uncertainty of my food not being ready when I got there since I didn't pay first was weird but I was hopeful. On the way there, someone from MattChews called to confirm my order, asked how far I was, and advised me to call when I was in the parking lot. I was about 10 minutes away or so. The parking lot is pretty small and full. I found a spot opening up and someone came up to my car and asked my name and went inside to check. He immediately came out with our food. The chicken on my Hot chick buns seemed old or fried too hard so it was tough to chew but I could tell if they were fresh out of the oil they would've been delicious. I also took into consideration that food isn't as fresh driving a distance to get home but everything else in my meal was still hot and seemed fresh so that wasn't the case. My fried rice was probably the best-fried rice I've had from the normal Asian restaurants that I frequent. The egg-fried rice with fried shrimp was cooked well and very delicious. Portions are decent. Prices are decent. Service was attentive and friendly.

Yelp
I shouldn't have taken so long to write this. We were looking for a spot to grab some food late, and stumbled on this place. Called and got Matt directly. There was 3 of us, and we were looking for a place to sit down, and enjoy a meal after a long day. Matt doesn't have seating (techically and to clarify "yet"), but he gave us the awesome experince of a makeshift chef's table. Let me just say, Matt's food and choice of flavors to fuse is on point. We tried about 6 different things and they were all excellent. Next time I'm in ATL, I will definitely make every effort I can to come here. Great guy, amazing food, and the concept for this "gaggle" of kitchens is sure to please any palate. Just make sure you try his stuff... even if it's just the fries. You'll be hooked.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Asian fusion sandwiches that are so delicious. The spot is right off Howell Mill, which is a little tricky to find but don't let that deter you. The sandwiches are incredible and the fries are just about the best around. The first time we went here, I ordered the cheesesteak and my wife got the chicken sliders. We live super close and are all about fast casual spots so we'll be here very frequently. If you want to order some grab and go or Doordash... look no further! Mattchews will not disappoint.

Yelp
Wow. We called and placed our order over the phone and the food was ran out to our car. The guy on the phone even told us he'd wait 15 min so our food would be fresh when we arrived! We were able to pay through a card reader and you could just tell how appreciative this man was for our business. My boyfriend ordered the Bulgogi Philly and he loved it. He also ordered the kimchi fries and it was a risk ordering especially since we had a 20 minute drive ahead of us but overall he liked it too. I ordered the trio and it was a great way for me to get a taste of everything i wanted. I loved the bread and the chicken bun! The pork pieces were on the dry side which i was disappointed about but the flavor was there. And the hot dog was delicious! Overall I'd recommend coming here and I'm looking forward to trying something else in the future!

Yelp
Open late late, dank fried rice and solid meats but a bit on the pricey side. Good food and pickup was on time

Yelp
This sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Seriously. I am a huge fan of this plate. 20 Dollars for this beautiful meal, I honestly would've bought 2 if I knew how good it was going to be. I'm so happy I decided to try this place out and I LOVE the service they provide

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. The menu teased visions of delicious food, even late at night (a rarity sometimes in Atlanta). Unfortunately this place left much to be desired. The french fries lacked seasoning and taste. The wings also lacked flavor, almost as if they were boiled instead of friend with absolutely no seasoning. The fried rice was tastless as well. It's like they cooked with absolutely no flavors/spices. I tried a few of the sandwhiches too and didn't enjoy a single one. Worst of all is an hour or so after eating I got the WORST diarrhea. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but the food was not cheap either. Each dish here runs nearly $20. I would avoid this place in favor of better options.

Yelp
THEY NEVER MISS! So much flavor! So fresh! The Jerk chicken is a flavor bomb in itself. The fried rice is perfection. I'm constantly impressed. And they actually give me my extra sauces with delivery which, rarely happens. Do it!

Yelp
If you're considering ordering MattChews and you're just looking at the reviews hungry and confused, let me make this easy, order anything. Yes, anything, and it's going to be delicious. The food here is excellent. It's an explosion of flavor (I'm talking about you bang bang shrimp sandwich). So do yourself a favor and treat yourself to delicous-ness.

Yelp
Horrible service and execution. I'll never go here and if you are ordering anything for delivery don't waste your time. I waited 45 min for the restaurant to CANCEL the order. The GrubHub driver went there, got there, waited for my food for them to cancel the order because they didn't have something in stock (apparently)... Poor service and poor execution, and a waste of time! After a long day of flights this wasn't what I expected from a restaurant that has 4.5 stars. Fix your service or I'm sure you will continue to get poor ratings. *Customer Service is always a plus just visit any chik-fil-a vs. other fast food establishments* Good Luck in fixing your issues.

Yelp
Darn I didn't get any pics, but I will be back. One of my favorite weekend meals is wings and fries. Well, I don't even remember how this place popped up in my search but I'm glad it did. I saw the name, checked out the website and I liked what I saw. I'm a huge fan of Asian food, pretty much every cuisine so when I saw that this was a blend I had to try. The menu is packed with delicious (sounding) items but I was only in the mood for wings. I ordered the sweet and spicy wings with fries and I was not disappointed on any level. Perfect size, amazing flavor and just the right level of crispy texture with a juicy bite on the inside. Parking - it has been so long since I've found myself in this area and my goodness has it changed. This restaurant isn't like your typical establishment. As it was my first time there, from what I could gather as much as I could comprehend at 3 am after a long night out of drinking, this is a pick up spot for multiple restaurants. Pretty cool, eh? The parking lot is small as it's intended for you to pick up and go but there's a lot behind the restaurant which you're probably not supposed to use but I did anyway because I was starving and couldn't wait to get home to eat. I ordered online which was seamless. My food was ready in 15-20 minutes. No fuss. Best thing about this place is it's open LATE. I don't live nearby but I would make the drive if I get a wing crazy at 2am. Try it out. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
"It's 1:50 am, nothing's open brahhhh," said the mouth. "You sure about that, m8?" asked the conscience. You have to dig-in-the-crates a lil when you're looking for THE gem, right? RIGHT I'm from L.A. first thing I questioned was why is food so damn expensive in ATL?!!!! I don't see the ocean, tree isn't legal, ATL drivers are just as bad as L.A. drivers--if not worse--each county has its own "unique" cop-insignia / colorway --which is damn confusing--and the minimum wage is $7.25..... SINCE 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not solve this complex equation during my "peachy" stay in Ga. I digress Mattchews, the loco moco patty melt was delectable, full of flavor and it was exactly what I needed around 2 something a.m. I ordered sunny-side up and it wasn't but I didn't care at that point. The meal was piping hot, steam rose as I sifted through the bed of rice for an adequate bite with the particularly inadequate and very flimsy plastic fork. The challenge for the perfect bite formed a lot of condensation on the windows and it was a nice contrast to the pouring rain outside the car in quaint and quiet downtown ATL.

Yelp
I always enjoy sharing an experience I may or may not have. In this case, it's hard to put a finger on my "Experience" however, on the ride there I was enamored by the sights of Lenox and all the huge buildings but after a few minutes the area became dark. The parking lot gives serial killer vibes and the people rushing in and out of the place after grabbing their food was dizzying. It's as if they thought we were there to mug them of their grub. My wife and I looked for any form of instructions since we thought it was going to be an actual restaurant. It was a community kitchen where people prepare meals and store them in pick up lockers. There's five DIFFERENT restaurants to choose from but after several unsuccessful attempts at putting our choices in the cart, we made a beeline for the Landmark diner which was giving "Big Lebowski", and enjoyed our "Good Fella-ish" breakfast while a group of strippers were swearing with every other word and a group of Georgia Tech students (there were at least 9) were busy debating the homecoming schedule over coffee and Red Bull

Yelp
I forgot to ask for ketchup with my fries and told my girlfriend before opening the bag that if there was ketchup in the bag anyway then I would leave a 5 star review. There was lol! Love that way of thinking. Also food was great. Especially the fried rice. Chef was very nice too! This place deserves the good reviews it has.

Yelp
I had the egg fried rice and hot honey shrimp! It was so delicious and affordable for the amount of food! A great late night bite! 10/10 would recommend.
