The food is generally very good, and we typically order takeout; however, failures in their quality control to ensure orders are complete, with all requisite order ingredients, continue to be more and more prevalent and unacceptable.
In the past, takeout orders have always been very timely, and exactly as ordered. However, of late, we continue to experience incomplete orders on a more frequent/routine basis.
The first occasion was a few weeks ago when a main ingredient was not included in one of our entrées (the meat for a taco). This was an incredibly surprising and disturbing omission, and unfortunately wasn't determined until after having completed the 35 min drive back home.
Last week my Fajita Plate was missing the separate container with all the accompanying ingredients, i.e., the guacamole, lettuce, cheese, and pico. Once again, the omission went unnoticed until I arrived at home.
This week, our two entrée orders included the usual tortillas, and we requested flour/corn for each order. However, all the tortillas were missing. While I did check for all other ingredients before I left the restaurant, I never thought to check for the inclusion of the tortillas -- a main ingredient for my Fajitas, and secondary for my wife's Enchilada plate. And again, unnoticed until I returned home.
In the future, should we decide to order takeout from Maudie's again, it must now include the decision on whether it is really worth the time that is going to be necessary to check for the inclusion of every item before leaving the restaurant -- or simply just order elsewhere where it can/should be expected that the order will be properly completed, with all ingredients present.
