Where to find the best Filipino food in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Max’s Restaurant started in 1945 after World War II when Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford-educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Over the years, Max’s Restaurant became known as “the house that fried chicken built.” Popular items include the restaurant’s signature fried chicken, pork barbecue skewers, and sizzling beef stew." - Bryan A'Hearn

Watch: Why Max’s Restaurant Is a Beloved Filipino Chain | Eater

"A Philippines-based chain best known for its fried chicken, it traces its origins to the post-WWII home of Maximo Gimenez, where American GIs frequently gathered to drink, socialize, and request fried chicken and steak; their patronage led him to open a cafe. His niece, Ruby Trota, developed the now-famous fried chicken recipe—tender, juicy, and crispy—that became a family staple. With more than 200 locations worldwide, each restaurant serves as a familiar reminder of home for Filipinos abroad and was a beloved spot for celebrating family milestones in Las Vegas." - Eater Video

I came on a whim for lunch and ordered a bunch of food. I ordered half of the fried chicken, bulalo, pansit palabok, garlic fried rice and maja Blanca for dessert. The food tasted good it came quick as well. However the pansit palabok was lacking the sauce it was a bit dry and asked to have more sauce added, which they did. Also the maja Blanca was a little dry and too dense

Don’t even waste your time coming here. When we walked in the lady told us there was a 15-20 minute wait time which seemed fine. Instead we ended up waiting 50 minutes with five groups in front of us. I noticed that there were multiple empty tables yet there were still many people waiting to be seated. Once seated we waited an additional 20 minutes to get our orders taken. They informed us that they were out of Pancit, Lumpia, and other items. The Kare Kare and the fried chicken were decent but nothing special and definitely not worth the wait. The Sisig was decent. You’re much better off cooking at home at that point. The only thing that I enjoyed was the halo halo. I’d assume they may be understaffed and I don’t want to be too demanding of a customer. At the same time, there are multiple issues that need to be improved before opening up. As a Filipino I was disappointed and I hope they will improve as a restaurant. Even still, I definitely won’t come back.

Came to Vegas and saw this spot. I’ve been craving Filipino Food. It has a cool atmosphere and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The service wasn’t the best nor the worst. It took a while for us to get seated. We ordered the Whole Chicken with Garlic Rice, Pork Barbecue Skewers and Lechon Kawali. I did not care for the fried chicken. It tastes like the chicken we make at home so nothing special. The Lechon Kawali was really good but the Pork Barbecue Skewers were the best! I can order a bunch of skewers and be completely satisfied!

This is the first time we went to this restaurant. We wanted to try the Filipino food. There was a short 10-minute wait which went by very quickly. The server was fabulous. Very kind and very helpful in choosing some entrees. We had fresh lumpiang which I announcing sauce and was delicious and fresh. We also had pancid Canton. It was also very good but could use more proteins. They were not plentiful. I would go back again and try other items. We are not Filipino so we are looking forward to enjoying more Philippine cuisine entrees.

First time visiting this restaurant and I'm wondering 🤔 why I never came here before? The Punzit was so delicious, and they were even able to accommodate my dish without pork! Love this place. I'll definitely be back! Kuddos to the chef 👨‍🍳 😋

Delicious taste of home away from home 🇵🇭! We also have Max’s Chicken in NorCal. Glad to know there’s one here in Las Vegas! Every single plate was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend. And WE shall return!

Google
Delicious Filipino food just outside of the strip. This place is authentic and you know it’s good when over half the diners are Filipino. The food is so flavorful. Everything came out fresh and hot. It all had its own unique flavor and definitely worth trying.

Yelp
Max's in Vegas has comfort Filipino food ready for the taking! Huge parking lot so finding a spot will def not be a problem. We were also seated right away on a busy Sunday afternoon. Service was so kind but also so slow. I don't mind food taking awhile to come out, kitchen backups happen. However, being finished and waiting~waiting~waiting to try to flag someone down a bunch in order to get the check - that I do not love. The restaurant was not busy but it's as if our server had the whole place to serve. I saw him literally running around the restaurant. If more servers are needed to chill out the atmosphere and also properly serve the customers, may be something to consider. Now, that being said, we ate like monster kings while there - Max's half fried chicken ($14) was plump and juicy inside, though I wished the skin had a bit more flavor. Lechon Kawali ($18) was a huge portion of crisp but tender pork belly pieces. Garlic Rice ($8) was solid, and actually my favorite thing of the meal! You can never go wrong with garlic rice. We also added Calamansi Juice for $6 and a Sierra Mist for $3. Overall, good meal with a TON of leftovers for us to feast on. I'm not racing to come back but am glad I came to try the eats at Max's.

Yelp
Max's is always a classic spot for Filipino food. This restaurant is a chain from the Philippines, and my family and I always enjoy coming here. The service here is always so polite and friendly- the food also comes out very quickly. I don't think we waited more than 15 minutes to get all of food. Joseph served us and I appreciated how happy and friendly he was to us. My favorite thing we got was the Pancit Bihon. It's probably some of the best Pancit I've had in a while and the lemon tasted amazing with it. The sisig was also great. It was crispy and full of flavor. Max's was also a lot cheaper than most places in Los Vegas. Definitely should check this place out if you need some Filipino food!

Yelp
Got there at 7:50 pm and no one person acknowledge us until 7:55 pm even though there was a Server that saw us stood by the door. We ask if they're closed and female employee said yes we closed at 8 pm. We asked her if the Supervisor:Manager (Angie) would be able to accomodate us and she said I can ask her but she busy right Serving food. So we left because we didn't want to wait for Angie only to tell us that it's already 8 pm and that the business is Closed. To Angie the Supervisor /Manager of Max's Rdstaurant in Las Vegas, 1. you couldn't switch places with another employees to come and talk to us. You HAD to serve those food to the guest, there was no way for you to asked another employee to cover for you so you can meet us at the door. GREAT MANAGEMENT 2. You have no Customer Service and your employees looks up to you and because you think that's ok, they also will be just like you - no customer service.

Yelp
Had a yummy fulfilling dinner at Max's. It was my first time eating here but the food was delicious. Max's chicken was super crunchy and cooked perfectly. The French fries that accompanied the chicken were nicely seasoned. The Chop Suey included shrimp which was a nice surprise to it. The garlic rice was my favorite along with Sinigang Na Baboy (Pork Tamarind Soup) not pictured. Sinigang soup is my favorite and I love it more sour and they really hit the spot with the sinigang. The rice was nicely cooked and I didn't eat much of the pancit since I got full after everything else, but it was nice trying it with egg noodles instead of the usual vermicelli noodles. I would definitely go back again and recommend it anyone who enjoys Filipino cuisine or has never tried it before.

Yelp
I always love eating at Max's! I typically go here with my big family and we do family style. We order lots of things and sometimes multiple of the same thing, so everyone can get enough. I have not had the best experience with the staff here. One time I called to make a reservation and the person assured me that I was confirmed. Then we discovered once we arrived that they did not have a reservation for us. We had to wait an extra twenty minutes before we eventually just left to go eat somewhere else.

Yelp
Great service today at Max's from Joseph. Outstanding meal of milkfish and pork skewers. I will definitely be back to try the crispy pata next time.

Yelp
Filipino food at its finest! The fried chicken is amazing as well as the other popular Filipino dishes! Roomy, clean and good service - feels like Manila quality! Ang sarap! Head on over! Close to Seafood City & other Filipino stores in case you need to do some grocery shopping!

Yelp
Returning to Max's Restaurant in Las Vegas felt like coming home after a few days away--a comforting haven of Filipino cuisine that never fails to satisfy our cravings. Arriving on a Wednesday evening at 5:25 pm, the place wasn't bustling yet, and we were promptly greeted and seated, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. Our server, Joseph, exemplified hospitality, swiftly taking our orders. Despite a 20-minute wait for freshly cooked dishes, including our favorites like the flavorful Kare Kare, the savory Daing Na Bangus, and the delicious Max fried chicken, the wait was worth every second. The moment our dishes arrived, the flavors transported us back to our comfort food. Each bite was a reminder of why we keep returning to Max's. The satisfaction and fullness lingered long after the meal ended, a testament to the quality and authenticity of the food served. The entire staff echoed the warmth we associate with Filipino hospitality. Amidst numerous options for Filipino cuisine in the area, Max's remains our top choice, and it's not just about the food--it's about the welcoming ambiance and the consistent cleanliness that adds to the experience. Max's, please continue this commendable service and upkeep. You've established a place that feels like a piece of home away from home. We'll eagerly return upon our next visit to the Las Vegas area, knowing that the comfort and flavors we cherish will always await us here. My Personal Rating : 4.2 Food 4.3/5 Staff 4.5/5 Price 4/5 Ambiance 4.1/5 Cleanliness 4.1/5

Yelp
It's home away from home! Food tasted delicious and authentic. Servings are big and totally worth the price. It was a very hectic Friday for the restaurant but the staff were all polite and attentive to check on the waiting guests and tried their best to serve as efficiently as they could. Well done and thank you! It's my third time coming here and each time, there's a bit of a wait so take that into consideration. I guess their food is popular. There's plenty of parking space in front/at the side of Max's. It's nice inside and clean enough. However, I'd suggest for a more thorough inspection of the female washroom as it did look like it needed some cleaning and re-stocking of paper towels and toilet rolls.

Yelp
My friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner. When we came in there weren't a lot of people inside but was told that there will be a 15-30 wait. This was almost 6pm and they closed at 7pm. I said to the host that would there be time for us to eat because they would be closing soon after we were seated and our order taken. He just shrugged. So we waited my friend went to check out the tables. There were a lot of tables open but they were dirty and not bussed. There were other employees but no one was helping to bus the tables, After waiting for about 25 minutes or so.. we decided to leave. Too bad they made their customers feel that it was an imposition for us to be there! Never going back! Very disappointed!

Yelp
We waited sooo long but it was all worth it. Our Vegas trip was partly because we wanted to come back to this Max's location. We've been before but most recently at the San Diego location which wasn't all that great for some reason. My pork belly sisig was perfect and had leftovers enough for 2 more meals! Talk about bang for your buck. My husband ordered everything his heart desired and had the rest for leftovers. YUMMY!!! I just wish they would staff more so that everyone can be served well. S/O to Justin our server who was still on top of things (just slow) ha.

Yelp
This place is known for their popular Philippine Fried Chicken. Came for a large family gathering in the large private room. Ordered Sisig, Pancit, Caldereta, and Fried Chicken. All were delicious! Then for dessert we had Macapuno dessert. Amazing food, and friendly staff. The interior can be crowded if you're seated in the booth. The only large tables were in the private rooms. Good food and staff. We'll come back!

Jesse d.

Yelp
This is my 6th time and maybe the last time that I will visit this location, the Las Vegas location has the most unfriendly staff and the wait here is always so long unlike other branches even if they are not busy.
google avatar

Yelp
Service isn't the best, bathrooms are not clean, but the food is good. Maybe because they're short staffed? I've been here many times and have had the sinigang, lechon, sisig, bulalo, and more. Last time I got the bulalo and pork belly sisig. I really like the flavor of the pork belly sisig here, it's one of my favorites next to Cafe Moda's. Their bulalo is very tasty.. although greasy and includes lots of salt, I really liked it.
google avatar

Imelda O.

Yelp
Fried chicken was crispy, price went up but not salty . Pinakbet was small portion but tasty. Garlic rice was huge with good portion. Sinigang baboy was delicious. Pancit was authentic.

Yelp
We had about a 30 min wait for a party of 12 on a Sunday, not too bad. Service was great and the restaurant was packed. I usually do not opt for Filipino food because my parents make it the best in my opinion... but here's my review. Garlic fried rice- yum Lechon kawali- yum Classic sisig- yum Pancit bihon-yum Giant halo halo- yum (enough for all 12 of us) Baka Nilaga-ok Crispy pata-ok Whole chicken-ok I would come back but wouldn't crave unless I really wanted the Giant Halo Halo!

Yelp
What do I hit up first when I get to Vegas? The Strip? Nah. Check-in to the hotel? Nope. You got it; kuya Max's Restaurant! The bright red sign on the building always makes my mouth water for their lumpia served in a lumpia wrapper bowl. How do they fry the bowl like that!? Coming from the Phoenix metropolitan area, there are literally only two places to go for "ok lang" Filipino food. When I get to Max's though, you best know I ball out. A full fried chicken, Crispy Pata, Lumpia, Lechon Kawali (yeah I like pork), Pancit Bihon, Pancit Canton, and two bowls of white rice; yeah this probably feeds a family of like 6, but when in Vegas... The staff is always so welcoming when visiting and the vibe is always chill. It might be a chain, but I fully enjoy coming here whenever I am in Vegas!

Yelp
We came in a huge party (20 people), but because one of us called ahead, they were able to put tables together and get us seated relatively quickly, which we definitely appreciated. The restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived at around 2:30pm on a Sunday, so we definifely had quite a wait to get our food and drinks. Given the circumstances and the size of our party, I can't count it against them! I'll try to keep my notes brief! Calamansi juice: refreshing, sweet, a little tart and bitter due to the calamansi (Phillipine lime). The bitterness lingers a little, but I still enjoyed it! Chicharron Bulaklak (crispy ruffle fat): crispy, flavorful, but super greasy! The vinegary dip definitely helps to cut the greasiness, but be prepared! Classic Pork Sisig: flavorful and tasty, but there were bits of cartilage throughout. While it wasn't my favorite sisig due to the seasoning and texture, it still did the trick. Sinigang na baboy: my favorite today! It was hot, a little sour, savory, and tasty. The pork inside was nicely tender. This was perfect after a night of drinking! No photo because I was across the table and couldn't take a photo before we all got into it lol Sizzling Tofu: it was definitely sizzling! This wasn't quite my style, but if you like mayo, and a little sweet/savory, it might work for you. It made me think of an apple mayo salad but with tofu instead of apple and hot instead of cold... Max's Fried Chicken: thin, crispy skin with soft meat. It was lightly seasoned, and while I say the meat was soft, it wasn't juicy - it was a little dry, but the menu recommends eating it with banana ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, which might help with that. While it wasn't my favorite chicken, it was worth trying! Garlic fried rice: solid, as you'd expect! Overall, I appreciated their service, enjoyed the food, and would definitely be happy to order the sinigang again!

Yelp
I've been here twice, there's always a long wait because of the long line of people wanting to get in. We're from FL and every time we visit Vegas, it's a no brainer that we eat here. They're known for their fried chicken, so I highly recommend you order it. It's very nostalgic for me when I eat their fried chicken because my father used to bring this home at least once a week when we were young. He died when I was only 8 so Max's fried chicken is tied to my fond memories of him. Even if emotions aren't involved, I'd still recommend it because the skin in so crispy and the chicken juicy and not because of the many chemicals pumped in it (eg. store bought American rotisserie chickens) I also recommend the liempo pork belly BBQ and chicharon bulaklak but I didn't like their beef nilaga as much Try it!

Yelp
This was a very disappointing visit. My family moved away from Vegas 6 years ago and recently moved back. This was our first visit since we moved back here, but apparently, the ownership has changed. The menu used to be a large multiple page menu with a lot of different options but has been whittled down to a one page menu front and back. It wasn't busy when we showed up, but we still had to wait about 15 minutes to get any service. A table that showed up 5 minutes after we did got service before we did. The chicken did not taste as good as before. It seemed to be over fried, drying out the chicken where it used to be super juicy. The lumpiang Shanghai seemed like poor quality. I told my wife it tasted like they used canned beef loaf to make them. The Lechon Kawali and Pinakbit were pretty good. Maybe it was just the batch we got, but the white rice was overcooked and mushy. The mango sticky rice was disappointing as the mango they used was obviously preserved canned mango pieces. They tasted like the cans of fruit cocktail you get at the grocery store. When I asked the waiter about it, he just told us that he didn't know if the mango was fresh or canned. Overall, service was slow, and they never refilled any of our drinks. On poor service, my practice is to only tip 10%. The waiter stopped me on my way out to try and return the tip because it was so little. We will definitely not be returning for another visit. For anybody considering eating here, I would recommend you check out Mang Felix instead, which has 2 locations in Vegas.

Yelp
Disorganized online ordering and scheduling! It was NYE 12/31/2023. 449pm when i wrote this. Arrived at 345pm. 95% of the people ordered online. 50-60 people waiting. Do not order online and expect a scheduled pickup.

Yelp
Service - Friendly interactions from the staff up front. Our server Joseph was super friendly with "Yes Sir" and "Yes Ma'am responses. Quick service during our visit Thursday at 1:16PM. Food - ordered the following items to share as family style: Lumpiang Shanghai - generous Lumpiangs served with. Pinky Sweet and Sour sauce and pickled bell peppers. Fresh Garlic Rice - if you love garlic, this is the dish for you. While it lacks a protein, it packed full of flavor. I recommend asking for soy sauce. Sinigang na Baboy (Pork Tamarind Soup) - slow cooked goodness. Sweet and savory. Pork is super tender. Beware of the pepper inside the soup. While the soup itself isn't spicy, there is a few peppers inside the soups that can be spicy for sensitive people. Max's Fried Chicken - the legend lives up to its taste and crunch factor. A must try if you love fried chicken. Lechon Kawali - fried pork belly Pinot style. We accidentally ordered Lechon Kawali Sising by mistake. The sising is essentially a minced version of the regular Lechon.

The Best Fried Chicken. Get the Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali as well. We also love the garlic fried rice.

Yelp
On our last day in Vegas and wanted some Nilaga or Tinola bc it's been so cold so we decided to stop by Max's. At first I thought the restaurant was closed or not in the plaza bc it's sort of a dark area. We had to change our seat bc the table they gave us was dirty and we were so close to the large party so luckily a booth was located in the corner. We've opted for nilagang Baka and Inihaw na Liempo, both tasted good, but the soup was luke warm. I rated the restaurant a two bc of the following: 1. The service was efficient though we had to wait for our drinks after the food was delivered which also took a long time though they weren't busy at all. There was only 3 customers. Maybe that's why the soup was already cold when it got to our table. 2. The restaurant was dirty. 3. The restroom was a horror movie. You know what they say when the restroom is dirty, imagine what the kitchen looks like that you don't have to go in there. I don't even want to think about it. Go somewhere else. I'm pretty sure there's another Filipino restaurant that cleaner and tastier. I've been to a lot of Max's but this place won the best price for the dirtiest. I'm just being honest guys. Take it or leave it.

Yelp
This is to the owner of Max's- You have a lot of very angry people who probably will never enter your establishment again. Last night, New Year's Eve, was the worst experience I have ever had. You yourself would've probably been FURIOUS if you went through what your customers experienced last night. Your staff accepted orders that you couldn't properly fulfill and I will make sure that everyone knows what you put us through. You have ruined our New Year's Eve celebration, left out kids hungry and our guests ended up leaving my house early, not fed and because of the fact that my husband and I were not home BECAUSE you had us waiting at your restaurant for HOURS. I had put in my order Dec. 28th for pick up New Year's Eve @ 4pm. We arrived a little before and there were about 6 people ahead of us, checked in, told them I was there for pick up and gave the guy out front my name. My husband and I sat down and the nightmare begins... More people started arriving and we waited patiently, everyone (about 60 people were now there) was gracious but HOURS passed. On our 2nd hour (I had already given my name twice to the staff), I was losing my patience, people that arrived after us were getting their food and leaving! I approached 2 of the staff and told them I've been waiting for 2 hours and they just said they would check. I waited another hour until my husband stood up and waited in front of the kitchen and they just looked at our receipt from his phone and checked again but nothing. They came back out with other people's order until 7pm and there were only 3 of us left. This woman who was behind us when we arrived a little after 3:30pm was already crying and screaming (I don't blame her, her kids were waiting at home, she probably didn't expect she would be gone as long as it took to go to California) and her husband banging at the door of the kitchen. I will post pictures of the restaurant when they finally gave us our order at 7:30pm, we were LITERALLY the only ones left! They gave us our order, apologized but no mention that our order was not complete until I opened the bags to inspect and the crispy pata was not there. Were you expecting that I would leave without checking the bags first? You know why I checked the bags? I saw many of the customers coming back with food missing and they ended up waiting another hour or so AGAIN. And why would you not mention this when you gave us our order? Or announce this early on while everyone was waiting that you were out of caldereta and crispy pata and kept us waiting for something we did not order?? A long end story, the staff offered to cook us another chicken and add more lechon kawali, not what I wanted but my kids were already calling us hungry and I was too tired to argue. We ended up leaving there a little before 8pm. We got home and my worries while I was waiting at the restaurant came true. The food was not the quality I usually get from Max's. The lechon kawali was over cooked and the pancit was terrible, soggy. Oh the kare kare was not half a tray like they said over the phone, they just gave us a large styrofoam tub. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience, you have ruined our family celebration. You should be ashamed of yourselves for being so greedy and wanting to accept all these orders to make money and had no thought as to how this would affect the plans of your customers. To my fellow yelpers, please message me as to how I can further escalate this issue, what they did was not right, all those people, all the plans ruined, just to make a buck.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. Both in Vegas and the new one in Houston are superb! Fried chicken- hands down- is the very BEST! I mean all the other food is good too- but don't miss out on the best fried chicken of your life! Pair it with the garlic fried rice and you are set for the night!

Yelp
My family ate here for my birthday. We barely had any leftovers because the food was so good. We ordered calamansi and mango juice, lumpia, their famous fried chicken, pancit bihon, garlic rice and lechon sisig. Everything was superb and exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to come back again.

Andy D.

Yelp
Picked up Father's Day special yesterday - I have to give my honest review. The crispy pata aside from hard did not have flavor, as well as the whole fried chicken. Both were bland. The kare kare and pancit were just okay. The lady I talked to said the food order will be ready in 25-30 minutes. When we got there, the food were not ready because the 'crispy pata and fried chicken were not done still cooking them'

Gena P.

Yelp
Food was great and the service was excellent this time. Most of the time we waited for food for 30-45 minutes. But this time was 10 minutes wait. Halo halo was still delicious. Loved it. Thanks again, Max!

Every time I'm in an area with a Max's I have to go! I started when I lived in Hawaii and crave it when I'm away. Everything I've ever had there is delicious. Almost everything can be ordered in family size so order a few things and share!

Yelp
I tried their new dessert !! I love it!!!! As for main course we ordered half fried chicken and sinigang bangus and garlic rice. Garlic rice is always good! Fried chicken was a little dry but tasted good anyway. I noticed the sinigang bangus quantity of fish was not big as it used to be. I only have a pic of the dessert.

Yelp
Visiting Las Vegas would not be complete without visiting the Filipino side of town. We intentionally planned our trip and make sure we visit the famous Max's Fried Chicken. We arrived at the place early to avoid crowds. Our group ordered kalamansi drinks and also buko juice. We ordered plenty of entrees like Kare-Kare, sinigang Bangui, pork sisig, whole fried chicken, chop suey, and chicharon bulaklak for appetizer. We ended it with halo-halo dessert. Overall it was a good experience. We're glad we were able to find time and visit Max's.

Yelp
My husband ordered Pancit bihon mixed it was so disgusting I can't even imagine who wanted to eat it. The noodles were different from a typical Pancit, it was so sour and salty and bitter! at the same time. We didn't quite understand How they made it? It was so gross that I literally had to dump it out. I don't recommend this place, they need to learn How to cook their specialties not just serve what they think it's best for them! Be authentic cooking Filipino dish since that's what they are known for.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch experience here today. Food came out quickly and delicious. Both the Fried chicken and Crispy pata were crisp to perfection. We also very much enjoyed the pansit canton as well as their Bangus Sisig. This really brought back great memories from my very first experience tasting their signature Fried Chicken back in Manila. Service was good too.

Yelp
It's just that it takes time before they get your order we've been sitting for a while. And our orders came finally. Max's chicken n pansit bihon which came with canton on it n I said I just want bihon n the waiter said that's their pansit guisado here. Oh well in short they changed it but their pansit bihon is not that good! It's nit what I expected so do you think I'll come back again??!

Yelp
This place is definitely pricey! Spent close to $40 for 3 items, which were not full meals but more like snacks. I had never been to a filipino restaurant in Las Vegas but I ran into Max's (this is a chain) here and was craving Lechon. We ordered to go but there were a few patrons here. Place appeared clean and service at the front was good. WARNING! This place is on a corner and is not in the best area. Meaning there are pan handlers, street people and hustlers around the area, parking lot, etx. Watch your back and keep your kids close to you. If you can get through that you will enjoy some great authentic Filipino food! We ordered to snack on: -Lumpia - good serving size, hearty, ask for some banana ketchup -Pork Skewers - DELICIOUS! Well marinated, full of flavor, moist pork. -Lechon Kawali- Could have used more liver sauce on the side, but wow cooked to perfection. Crispy on outside, tender and fatty throughout. We smashed all 3 plates within minutes.

Yelp
We came for breakfast & I ordered max classic, which includes 2 eggs, pancakes or add waffles, sausage or bacon. My boyfriend got the California Benedict & a orange juice. Honestly everything tasted ok, but I would compare it to a dennys or ihop. Everything was just ok & our server kinda forgot about us. We just waived her down for the check and left. Nothing wrong with this place just not a Vegas experience.

Yelp
Filipino food is rarely my first choice to choose from to eat out. We tried Max's to give it a try. I'm glad we did. There was a small wait for us but it was fine. They seemed short-staffed as there were a lot of open tables but still a wait to give the servers a chance to breathe. The service was good when we did get it. As I said before, they seemed short staffed so I'm sure they had a hundred things going on. The food was good. We ordered the skewers and they pack the long skewer with meat from end to end. It was flavorful and on the sweet side. My favorite was the fried chicken with garlic rice. The chicken was tender and juicy, yet crispy at the same time. We also got the Halo-Halo which was good as always. The decor was nice as it's a chain restaurant. The price was on the expensive end but that's inflation for you.

Yelp
The foods were really amazing. My Brazilian friend liked it a lot except for the sisig cuz he doesn't want to eat pork face. The main problem was the service is not that good. There were a lot of empty tables but we waited too long because of they were short staffed. We waited half an hr to get our foods being served. And the foods weren't that hot maybe because they didn't served it right away. This resto needs more people so they could give better service for people. The ambiance looks fancy and different from other Filipino restaurants. It really feels like home.

Yelp
Came here with my family of 6 on a Friday afternoon and had a really great experience. We were seated within 10 minutes and the server was fast with taking our order and bringing out waters, drinks and food. We got two of each for a whole chicken, pork BBQ skewers, and garlic rice. Then we also got one order of sinigang. Everything was eaten family style. There was definitely too much food for us to finish but we would've rather had leftovers than not enough food. We were able to take home some of the BBQ, some rice, and a half chicken. The chicken was juicy and crispy and super yummy. I love this style of fried chicken because it feels lighter than breaded chicken (like Jollibee). The pork skewers were my boyfriend and I's favorite dish and it comes with vinegar which was so delicious for dipping. I also really enjoyed the garlic fried rice but my boyfriend didn't think it had enough garlic. Now, I'm not usually a big sinigang fan, but the sinigang na baboy here is so delicious. The pork was tender and not too fatty, and I liked that the soup had eggplant inside. The soup was flavored well with a good consistency and not watery. I still prefer my mom's sinigang which she makes on the spicier side using chillies. Overall we loved it and will definitely be visiting locations back home in California more often!

Yelp
I had an absolutely delightful experience at Max's Filipino restaurant and I'm excited to share my positive review! First and foremost, their peanut butter stew is simply excellent. The rich and creamy flavors combined with the perfect balance of savory and sweet made it a standout dish. I couldn't get enough of it! Moreover, the service at Max's was top-notch. The staff was quick, attentive, and incredibly friendly. They made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in, and their knowledge of the menu was impressive. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and offer recommendations. Overall, Max's Filipino restaurant exceeded my expectations. The delicious peanut butter stew alone is reason enough to visit, but when you combine it with the quick and friendly service, it becomes an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend Max's to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Filipino cuisine served with a smile.

Yelp
Plenty of parking and it can accommodate many large parties. Shareable portions for a decent price and delicious.

Yelp
I come here with family every couple of months when we all want to gather and not cook. The location is on the corner of Flamingo and Maryland parkway in the same shopping area as the Albertson's. It is near the university. The area needs some upgrades, and you can see worn in state of the area. The staff is friendly, helpful, but are short staffed so patience is needed. Pricey for what you get, but I'm happy to spend for some tasty filippino grub.

Yelp
Expensive Great young Filipino servers that did a great job! I've ate at a Max's in the Philippines.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I always crave kare kare and they had it just right. The lechon was cooked perfectly and the halo halo was great portion. The pancit had opportunity but overall great. Service was okay. Waitress was nice and food came timely. I'm not sure if they were low staff but it took awhile to get help at the end of our meal. Our baby was fussy and it would of been helpful if we had a tad more attention at the end to get our stuff boxed up and check after dessert. The location was nice. The decorations were appealing. Nice atmosphere. I would come again for sure.

Yelp
Well I cannot comment on the food.. because I never had a chance to try it! I waited for OVER 2 HOURS for them to tell me that they ran out of Calderita. My family never got a chance to get their fried chicken order either. We left and ended up going to the McDonalds down the street as my kids were hangry after waiting so long. I can comment on the facility as I was able to stay long enough to drop a load in the bathroom. It was unkept. But at least I saw the waiter wash his hands as he also was dropping a fatty at the same time. I never got a chance to try the fried chicken and I doubt I ever will. I have no desire to give this place a second chance.
