Stopped at this place after church for brunch on Sunday and was not disappointed. We sat in this cool booth in the same room that they had acoustic music playing. The ambiance was absolutely phenomenal. Service was great as well, and the food lived up to the hype!! Service was quick, but we didn't feel rushed at all. Just hanging out and talking while listening to music. Perfect way to spend a sunday afternoon

The menu has a wide variety of great choices, it was hard to pick one. The jambalaya was very good and the smash burger was good as well. Enjoyed the fried pickles appetizer. Very nice selection of beers on tap and the decor is interesting. I would go again

This place was killer! Deviled egg app was fire! The wings were huge, sauce was plentiful and amazing! But let me tell you, that black bear NY steak was slamming!!! Cooked perfect, sauce was amazing. The menu is well put together with options for everyone! We planning on trying it all!

Our waitress Ella was super friendly, knowledgeable, and all around excellent. We got The Che Che and the Chicken Sammie which she recommended and they were delicious. Both regular and sweet potato fries were thinly sliced and tasty. The corn fritter appetizer was so good we almost ordered another! Casual, bar feel with delicious food. Highly recommend.

Disappointed at M.O.M.s Tonight – Style Over Substance? We were really looking forward to checking out the newly remodeled M.O.M. Restaurant, but unfortunately, tonight’s visit missed the mark in more ways than one. First off, the remodel does look nice — sleek and modern — but it seems they sacrificed a lot of seating in the process. The vibe is there, but the comfort and functionality? Not so much. The new menu? Nothing to write home about. We tried the meat platter, and it was underwhelming at best. The turkey felt like basic deli slices, the pork was bland, a bit fatty, and all of the meats came out barely warm. Not exactly what you expect when you’re craving a hearty, flavorful dish. And then there was the service — or lack thereof. Despite the server assuring us it was a slow night, the service was sluggish and inattentive. No one checked in about drink refills (I had to flag someone down for more iced tea), our waiter disappeared early in the meal and didn’t reappear until the check came, and we practically had to chase someone down just to pay the bill. All in all, we left disappointed and unimpressed. M.O.M.s may have a fresh new look, but they’ve got some serious work to do on the food and service side. Tonight was a 2 out of 5 experience — hoping they get things back on track soon.

My burger was lowkey fire and had this really interesting sauce!! Super nice staff as well.

Google
Lovely atmosphere and staff, we got a few appetizers and the backyard platter, food came out quite quick and was delicious especially the pastrami and saucy logs (mozzarella egg rolls with pepperoni)

I wanted to try a new place after visiting the castle nearby. I sat at the downstairs bar. I ordered a chai mule. It was good, but it tasted like a regular mule for $15. I had the beef and cheddar sandwich. The first few bites were thickly cut meat that was hard to bite, but it was sliced thinner in other parts of the sandwich. The horseradish mayo was good, but I requested more because the sandwich was a littke dry. The sweet potato fries looked overcooked, but they were actually perfect.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Doylestown! I have been going here for years and it is always a delicious and fun experience! From casual lunch with friends to drinks and apps on the upstairs patio, this place allows for all sorts of experiences. My go to drink: beerarita with a sour beer My go to food: wings, sweet potato fries with the maple mayo (ask for extra), fried pickles, short ribs! Highly recommend this fun place!

Karen F.

Yelp
The menu here is - eclectic. Um, pseudo southern-ish? Odd - and not cheap either. My $15 Thai-inspired Moscow Mule was tasty but needed more booze. The Salads run close to $20. Service was fine, and the music (live music on a Sunday Brunch-time) was great. Not in a hurry to return.

Yelp
My husband surprised me and selected the location for our anniversary dinner. The highlight was the server and they had a jazz band upstairs. I had the Philadelphia egg rolls which were barely warmed through. They were done on the outside but the filling was literally 20 seconds away from being chilly. For dinner I ordered the beef short ribs which favored by look and taste as chuck roast like one would make on Sunday in your crockpot. Mine would have had more flavor. I should have known when it was served with potato salad versus mashed potatoes as I have ordered so many times. Maybe this was another way to cook short ribs but definitely 3 out of 10 for me. My asparagus was beyond charred but burned and inedible. As for my husband, he ordered the garlic parmesan wings which has a white sauce on them and were quite large. For the main course he had the jambalaya and the shrimp was plentiful and juicy. However, the sausage was minimal and the sausage was a lot redder than normally expected. But he did like the spice on it. Overall, I would try it again. Their menu has a number of great selections for most diners. I chose not to say anything at the time because my husband was so proud of finding the restaurant on his own and seeing him be so proud was more important than a plate of food.

Yelp
The location was okay, not the best. You have to pay to park. We went on a Saturday and there were plenty of street parking. The restaurant was pretty quiet during the day. We were there during the day, and it was slow. The food was not the great though... we order loaded fries, braised short ribs, and fried chicken and waffles. The loaded fries was not worth it. The toppings were lacking and it was just very soggy and not very f fries. The fried chicken was very dark and dried. The braised short ribs were not bad. A little tough but not bad either the flavor. The service was its redeeming factor though. We were upstairs for an event and were told there wouldn't be a server. If we were to order food, we would order it at the bar. However, the bartender(?) came around to the tables and took people's orders. We were in a big group, and he was patient with everyone.

Lexie K.

Yelp
Cool comfort food menu. Cozy feeling and really cool artwork throughout. Friendly fast service. The bartender was great asking if we wanted to sub a liquor we ordered for one that was on happy hour. House red for HH is ok. Not sure what it is. A bit vinegary Fried pickles - thick cut pickles. Good breading but overly breaded. Nice dipping sauce with slight tang to go well with pickle flavor. Deviled egg- lots of dill. Slight spicyness to it. Spices flavor overpowers all other flavors Wings- great buff flavor. Super crispy. Not too spicy. Tender checken Cheesesteak egg rolls- good flavor. Pretty greasy. Good crunch. Not a fan of the marinara sauce it comes with.

Guy R.

Yelp
First off the food and drinks we selected were well received. One was amazing, the other so so. Order the Haitian Divorce. The food was really good. The braised short ribs were fab. The avocado toast , generous, fresh and delicious. The service was essentially nonexistent. But, we came for the jazz. They got that. The place is authentic. Come see!

Joel L.

Yelp
A good idea that needs work to get there. Location is good, seating is good and establishment has a cool speakeasy feel to it. Stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon so it was slow. Arrived at around 430pm for an early dinner. There were three people dining out front on the terrace, otherwise the location was empty of Patrons. Service was consistent and genial. Menu had interesting food choices and a good alcohol list. Unfortunately our drinks were uninspired. My beer came in a can and my wife's mixed drink was bland. Appetizer was hot but bland and our meal sadly followed suit. I had the meatloaf sandwich and cut fries and my wife had the Jambalaya. The meatloaf was quite greasy and draped in mayo which only added to the bland greasy taste. .jambalaya was overcooked and rice mushy. The place has the vibe of a bar looking to mature but that has not quite gotten there yet. If it continues on this path and brings the food and drinks up to grade, it could be a really nice place to eat.

Marianne R.

Yelp
We attended a revolutionary pub crawl and one of the stops was at moms. I've never been there before, but I am definitely going back! What a great atmosphere and the fried pickles and french fries they served were amazing. I can't wait to go back and try the gumbo. I hear it's off the charts.

Will B.

Yelp
The place itself was clean and nicely run. The food was as good as you'd expect. The people were nice. The club upstairs was bumpin and I'm glad they had a little outside area, that was a really nice break from the heat of the dance floor. Overall, it had everything I expected it would and personally needed. Not exceptional, but satisfying.

El H.

Yelp
Great looking bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, that was it as the food really was subpar.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Moms is one of my friends favorites spots and I never actually stopped in until recently because my friend and I were looking for a place to grab a drink and eat a small bite. When we first got there we made our way into the bar area and there was no seats and no one told us to go around to the other side, luckily my friend knew to do so and once we did we got seated. It should be made a little bit more clear or staff should have asked us as we were a little visibly confused. Either way we got seated and our waitress was lovely and sweet. She got us drinks took our orders. Since it was the first Friday of lent I couldn't eat meat which didn't leave a lot of options but I opted for the Mediterranean salad. Which was super tasty and the perfect size, not overly big. The price was fair but their menu is definitely a bit more expensive for the type of food they serve. I'll have to try more another time because my salad was really tasty , the falafel in it was good and had a very creamy center. Overall it was nice, I couldn't tell much for the decor it honestly looked like it was being renovated because of the material of the walls but I think it was meant to look - rustic ? I'll give it another shot, I heard their brunch is good.

Michele L.

Yelp
It has been awhile since I've been to this place and it will be a long while til I go again. The food was lousy and the service was even lousier. The "bartender" was more interested in having conversation with the other workers than following up or following through with anything we needed. Too many other great places in Doylestown to waste money here!

Makayla C.

Yelp
The food and drinks are wonderful at MOMs! They also have live music frequently. We always receive great service.

Nickolas A.

Yelp
Was having a great time and on our way out of the bar (which was packed) I bumped into the DJ table on accident and immediately was gripped up by bouncers? When my sister tried to tell them we were already leaving then got her gripped up as well. What's good with putting hands on women? Do your bouncers think that's okay? When did bouncers ever have a right to physically grab women when they were literally just trying to explain a situation and if again the bouncer's didn't notice bar was mobbed. No moving room. Disgusting that man think they can put a hand on a woman.

Julius D.

Yelp
the chicken and cornbread waffles were pretty dreadful I do not recommend but the service was good

Michael H.

Yelp
Very loud with mediocre food and ok service. A sports bar that serves food. It was barely adequate but tough to recommend as there are better places.

KRista R.

Yelp
Second best fried chicken the hubs ever had, fun atmosphere, great service! We went for NYE dinner and would love to come back.

Hannah L.

Yelp
Loved the chicken sandwich! Great atomosphere. The mimosas are huge but not the best, but what do you expect for the price?

B A.

Yelp
Went for brunch today for the first time and was pretty disappointed:( It wasn't busy at all and we were waiting for our server for a while. Our server barely checked in, I would understand if they were swamped but there were only a couple of tables with multiple servers on. I got the chicken and waffles which was good, but it can with two small pieces of waffles and when I ordered an extra side of waffles it was $11.... for two tiny pieces of waffles.. Idk seems too pricey for like two bites. The chicken portion was good tho. Live music was nice.

Tom P.

Yelp
slow service, server brought beer and told us it was cider, burger was burnt to a crisp

Day L.

Yelp
Went for brunch this morning and was left waiting by our server multiple times. Appalled by the $25 chicken and waffles served with only half a waffle...and was charged $11 for an extra side of HALF a waffle! Shocked and disappointment by the absurd prices and subpar service.

Nicole Z.

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar, the bartenders are awesome, the food is consistently good. The thighs and fries and smash burgers are my faves. Good cocktails.

Ciara G.

Yelp
M.O.M's is one of our go-to favorite local eateries. We've come just for quick drinks before a show at the County Theater. We've come for snacks and drinks with friends. We've come for brunch, lunch and dinners. And recently in this crazy time of Covid-19, we ordered takeout bc we had to support them and were craving a sense of normalcy by eating at a favorite place. We ordered Two fried chicken sammies, one of them being Nashville style and food and the service we received was just as wonderful as if we were dining in. We always seem to miss hot chicken night and sound the alarm, this dish is not to be missed! Crowlers and cocktails of your favorite bevies togo as well to keep the quarantine blues at bay. Was happy to support a favorite local spot during this time and I'm sure we will order a few more times before this mess is over. Thanks for being there for your fans M.O.M's!

Heather F.

Yelp
We were going to tour Fonthill Castle and had some time to kill before our tour started so we took a drive downtown and found this little gem. The Bar is beautiful, and our lunch was amazing, Fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard horseradish sauce, cheesy Grits and collard greens.. they were not overly spicy and just tangy enough. I could have eaten an entire bowl of those grits! Would definitely recommend. The day bartender was pleasant and attentive.

Fran R.

Yelp
We had brunch there today. They didn't have the French toast. My husband ordered decaf coffee and they had none. Had to ask server for more iced tea and Diet Coke. Only 6 brunch items and the rest is their regular menu. My husband ordered veggie omelette- it came with hash browns and no bread. The food was okay

Dawn C.

Yelp
We celebrated a milestone birthday here at MoMs with a large group of family and friends. Cameron was a very helpful event planner. On the day of the event the staff and food were fantastic. The atmosphere was the perfect vibe. So very pleased that we picked MoMs our event venue. Thank you!!!

Betsy B.

Yelp
A friend and I went here for an early dinner. Their menu has a little bit of a lot of things. There is the southern dishes such as jambalaya and shrimp and grits, some seafood, meats, salads, soups and comfort food (meat loaf, Mac and cheese). I started with the corn and crab chowder and my friend had the carrot soup. The chowder was a bit different than the typical chowder but ok. For entree, I had the scallops that came with crispy onions. It was good enough. My friend had the blackened swordfish special which she liked. As others have noted, prices seem a bit high.

Maurice T.

Yelp
I consider myself an official in chicken & waffles..... and I give the dish I just had One of the best dishes ever!!! I never had a C&W platter with collard greens, but they go So WELL with the chicken. Very Great job guys!

Shawn C.

Yelp
This place was great, everything was amazing from the chicken and waffles to the collard greens.COLLARD GREENS WERE EXCELLENT.

Emily R.

Yelp
From $12 32 oz. Sunday brunch mimosas (Yes, read that again!) to a delicious lineup of creatively tweaked Southern favorites, M.O.M.'s offers everything you'd love and hope for in a hip city spot right in the middle of Doylestown. In addition to food and drinks, this place has friendly staff members who offer awesome service and play great music - never thought I'd hear Joy Division and The Smiths out to eat here! COVID has been hard on so many local businesses, but M.O.M.'s has been making it work with full takeout options, outdoor dining, as well as indoor for those who are comfortable. If you need a minute out of the house, treat yourself here and you won't be disappointed.

Vern R.

Yelp
This eatery touts southern cuisine and has a very interesting menu, excellent servers and a nice atmosphere. However, things went a bit sideways once my order arrived at the table. I had the "Thighs & Fries" which are chicken thighs with French fries. Various sauces from mild to hot are offered as well with this meal. The chicken was way overcooked to the point of distaste. It was tough, dry and hard to eat. Thighs should be tender and juicy, for God's sake. What are those chef's thinking? Shop-Rite has better - ready to eat -fried chicken near their cash registers. I should've complained while there, but I didn't. My wife had the the quesadillas, and they were average in her humble opinion. But the diet Cokes were good! I think we'll pass this place by next time in Doylestown.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Went in last week and the hostess didn't even look up from her phone. We stood there and she acted like she didn't even work there. Very very poor front of the house experience. I've been coming here for years and that was really unacceptable. I ordered a cranberry and seltzer and she looked at me like I had two heads as well. My rating is for the service. I have not had any issue with the food.

Mike F.

Yelp
Fabulous food / fantastic service - thank you very much for delivering exceptional service and food for each of our visit.

Mo P.

Yelp
I want to love this place. The vibe and character has so much potential. The server was also quite nice and pleasant. The food is ok pub food but it could be a delicious GastroPub or some innovative rotating menu along with the standard pub foods. The beers are delicious and the jazz on a Sunday are equally wonderful. Try not to sit next to a window in the winter or you'll freeze. Maybe that's the hostess's fault. Hangar steak was delicious and cooked with a nice sauce. Home fries lacked crispy edges and tasted as though they were pre cooked and sat in a large hotel pan and scooped out of a trough and put on a plate. The scrambled eggs were premade and had no salt and pepper. They were also quite cold. Fried eggs were made on a dirty flat top. Duck hash was hilarious because the same subpar cruise line potatoes were plated with a couple pieces of duck on top. So much potential!

Morgan F.

Yelp
Has seen better days. Overpriced for not so great food, limited menu, and the tables, seating, and carpeting on the stairs to the bathroom are in poor condition. Cubano dry, overly salty, not great bread. Up charge for a side. Burger bun stale.

Philly C.

Yelp
Had dinner here a few nights ago . First time there . Place had a cool vibe and we liked the southern themed menu . We ordered the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese for starters . The green tomatoes were ok. The breading was too crumbly and didn't adhere to the tomato properly. Pimento cheese dip was ok as well. I'd say it was more cheese dip than pimento cheese but was still ok. For dinner I had the fried chicken with collard greens and a side of grits , my wife had the cod tacos and a Cesar salad . The chicken was well seasoned and fried perfectly no complaints at all other than I wanted another piece lol. Collard greens were a bit of a let down . I'm from the south and am particular about my greens and there were def. "northern" greens ‍. Grits were just meh,for the same reason as the greens. Wife loved the cod tacos and salad . Service was great and the place was clean . We were promptly seated at our designated reservation time. Nothing was bad tbh it just didn't have enough soul in it in my opinion. Wife wants to try their brunch menu so maybe we'll give it another go.

Anthony B.

Yelp
Very good food Upstairs outside deck noisy and exhaust smells. Service excellent. Would go there again but sit inside.

Justin O.

Yelp
Brunch was amazing. I was intrigued by the menu at first and unsure of the food options but everything we ordered tasted great. The mimosa and complementary bacon option is genius!

Helena X.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and left beyond pleased. Bar: great selection of beer but I'm a liquor girl so I stuck with Long Island Ice teas and they were perfect. Food: fried chicken, waffles and collards - OMG phenomenal. One of if not best fried chicken in my life. So crispy and moist. Collards were tasty and excellent as well. Waffles were good along with the syrup which I constantly dipped my fried Chicken in again. Already planning the next trip back there to get it again. I beyond recommend this place.

Paige M.

Yelp
While the service was fine, the food was terrible. My sister and I got the egg roll starter. They're barbecue chicken. I think they forgot to add sauce, as they tasted like dry chicken in an egg roll. My sister ordered a tuna burger medium rare. It was completely well-done, which sucks because it's tuna... that basically ruins it. She didn't say anything because she was starving but I spoke up about my entree. I thought I was being overly paranoid when I tried my falafel, as the other food had been so bad so far but I made my sister try it to and she said "I can't believe they serve that to people". It tasted like dry breadcrumbs or something. So dry. In fact it was gross. I told our server who was swift to try to rectify the issue. Holy cow, I get it's bar food but every single thing sucked.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Let's start with the positives - the flatbreads were good, the servers were attentive and willing to help out tables that weren't theirs, and the decor was nice. Sadly, our experience today just wasn't that great. I would recommend avoiding the kids meals all-together. The chicken fingers were so dry that they were inedible ... The fries were hot, but so oily and limp that I'm almost certain that they refried old fries (see picture). The Mac and cheese was undercooked (which is not a good idea when on the kids menu). Our server was not very good (the other servers were really nice and helpful though). She did not know several basic things. - Price of kids menu items: "let me check" (and she still got it wrong and charged us more than what she quoted us). - What are the seasonal vegetables for the risotto: "let me check" - Lemon wedges: forgot the first time and after being reminded, walked by our table twice with them in hand trying to find us: "there you are" when she finally did. - She does say "sorry" a lot, but to the point where it's just a word that is said with no real meaning behind it. Overall, we probably won't be going back, but if we do, it will be for the Philly flatbread with provolone.

Yelp
If you're from out of town and perhaps there for a wedding, Run Don't Walk Away. Went there to have some cocktails and appetizers the day before a wedding and staff were curt and ignored us during a fairly slow period, so we left. The next evening about 40 of us headed there for some post wedding celebrating. They wouldn't let the 31 year old bride ,who was still in her dress, in because she didn't have her ID on her. They also wouldn't let in her 35 year old cousin who's a deputy sheriff for the same reason. That would be fine except they weren't proofing everyone because my husband and I weren't proofed. We paid like $20 for two vodka & tonics and left a $2 tip. The tonic was so bad we couldn't drink it, so my husband returned them and again a dismissive response. The guy finally agreed to give us vodka and club which were fine. As we were leaving we saw them refusing to let in the bride, so we told everyone else to leave as well. They lost business, but clearly they don't care. Just be transparent and put a sign on the door that says, Locals Only! This way no one's time is wasted. Plenty of other nice places in town no need to go where you're not wanted.

Courtney S.

Yelp
The food and mimosas are wonderful here! The one thing that really lacks is the service. Whether you're here for a meal or at the bar, the wait staff are not as attentive as they need to be. You have to flag them down more than once to get what you need.

Debbie C.

Yelp
Food is tasteless and the staff is beyond rude. My husband ordered a burger medium and it came out burnt and crusty. The soup was tasteless and the salad greens were completely wilted. The waiter was inside on his phone the whole time and acted as if we were bothering him when we asked for drink refills. Ended up not eating half of the overpriced food. So many other excellent restaurants in town that care about your business. Will not ever eat here again.

Jim M.

Yelp
I want to blame Covid on some of this. Maybe it's hard to keep your mojo going during this awful time. Went for dinner the other night. Food was OK but as some have mentioned doesn't seem to have that TLC and special factor as when they first opened. The deal breaker for us was service that just didn't seem to care. Took them a while to come over. Food was placed on table but no one thought to put place settings down first. When we finished we had to get up and go find the server as we wanted to pay and go home. Again no urgency and a below expectations for service. Never saw a manager so perhaps the servers don't get trained well. Covid or not the service needs to improve.

Chris T.

Yelp
Dined here this past Saturday evening before attending the movies at the local theater. The location was easy to find. Upon entering it appears to be 2 sides so your standing in a vestibule with what appeared to be a bouncer and a patron. I announced that we had a 10:15 reservation and the bouncer pointed toward the door directly in front of me. We stood at the hostess station and another gentleman arrived I explained that we had a reservation and we were immediately seated. The restaurant had good music playing with which appeared to. E a live band playing along. Our waitress arrived didn't introduce herself and asked did we know what we wanted to drink. Once our drink order was filled she asked if there were any questions about the menu. I was torn between the tuna burger & the grouper special. Inquired about what her recommendation would be, she stated the grouper so I went with that. My companion had garlic Parmesan wings with a side of fries. He enjoyed his food. Me not so much. My good was flavorless. The fish didn't taste seasoned. It was over sundried tomato risotto with a side of baby zucchini. None of it was good, I ate 3/4 of the fish 1 of the baby zucchini and was done. Our server checked on us only 1x when our food was brought to the table. We had to ask another hostess to find her to bring the ck. The dining room area was NOT busy, although we saw plenty of patrons going upstairs where the music was coming from. We opted not to got dessert. I wouldn't recommend unless you were going to the bar which we did not do or going to the party upstairs. Mediocre experience at best.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in town. Food is always on point, beer selection is vast, cocktails are prepared perfectly, and the staff is amazing. The food has a southern flair, but also has other options as well if that's not your style. The interior of this building is beautiful, and if your lucky you can grab a table on their upstairs outdoor patio which is lovely to dine on when the weather is nice. Definitely a must try!!!

Yelp
This is probabky the worst restaurant i have ever tried in Doylestown. The T-Bone is not worth the price, $37-38. It may seem only cost $15, Abouth the Mixed Greens Salad is also a bad choice. The salad is not fresh. However, the server is friendly and helpful . Wouldn't recommend this place.

Yelp
Had jury duty, so on lunch I stopped into MOMs. I liked the look of their menu with some Cajun food and was looking forward to having some Boudin, which I found out out is only on brunch menu. Anyway, nice selection of craft beers. I ordered gumbo and a Cajun seasoned burger. The gumbo was flavorful, but came out luke warm, almost room temperature. But, it was very tasty. The burger had barely any seasoning, but was a quality burger and cooked perfectly. What I found strange was that there was no ketchup or salt or pepper on the bar. So, when I wanted hot sauce for the gumbo or mustard for the burger, I had to wait to be the bartender's attention to bring it. I actually wanted some salt for the sweet potato fries, but didn't want to wait again. They also didn't have tobacco on hand at the bar. The had siracha, but she did offer to get me Crystal, which was fine. All in all, I was not wowed, but the food was good. I would like to go back and try the brunch sometime.
