Google
I cannot hype this place up enough. The prices are incredible, the food is mouth-watering, and everything is fresh and homemade. If there is one criticism, it is that it is essentially to-go only, as there is only a small bar to dine in, and if a line forms (there will be a line, give it 15 mins) you might be a little cramped. But, do not let this deter you from delicious dim sum in Winston-Salem, NC. My personal favorite was the Mala cold noodle salad, with a tangy peanut dressing and fresh sliced veggies paired with cold noodles. It was a great side on a hot summer day, like the other week. The only other issue to report is parking; it can sometimes be hard to find parking in Reynolda Village, but I encourage you to stop and swing by this place, as any hassle to get to it is exceeded by the delicious food you will receive.

Stopped by here to pick up some food for an impromptu picnic with the familiy. We got a few orders of the fried dumplings which were delicious. We also got the cold sesame noodles. They were good though the sauce was alittle liquidy though still tasty. We also got the pearl chicken. Which is sticky rice with bits of chicken mixed in, wrapped in leaves and steamed. We had to come back for another 2 servings lol. We also ordered pork buns and egg custard buns which were also delicious. The Lady in the front was very nice and friendly she also hooked us up with 4 peach lotus buns which were filled with some nice red bean paste. Yumm! Definitely coming back again.

Google
Some of the best dumplings and pork buns I’ve ever had! Definitely visiting again!

Google
I absolutely love the concept that they have built here, especially in this area. You have all these big restaurants and extravagant looking places and then you have this cute convenient affordable place . Their prices are unmatched. As for the quality of their food, fresh tasty and always fulfilling. I’ve never had any troubles here and I will say I feel like they could add maybe one or two things to their menu that could definitely add to the place but the restrictiveness of the menu is also what makes it so good.

Google
Always get the dumpling noodle soup with extra dumplings. The dude’s super chill and a quick worker. Seems nice too. And the soup is amazing every single time. It’s rare that you find somewhere where the food is a hit every single time you go. Did find a peanut(?) in it one time. So that was weird. But other than that.

Google
4.5 Wanted to try May Way Dumplings for some time and finally made my way over to try. Place is standing room only with a couple of waiting seats so it got very crowded inside during my visit. Food came out way faster than the 20 minutes quoted which I was appreciative. The deduct on the star is that the menu is not as expansive as I was hoping for as there were no soup dumplings... but, the dumplings I had were delicious and very flavorful. The steamed bun was also delicious. Outside seating available as well as across the street. Check them out.

Google
This was not a good experience. Dumplings tasted like they were frozen and overcooked. They wait to place the order was just as long as waiting for the food. No place to eat except a couple of chairs outside.

Google
bit of a let down. I came here over the weekend and got the fried pork dumplings and a couple steamed pork buns. There was a short wait, a couple people ahead in line- it was around 5pm on Saturday. It's a really small space with just an order counter and a couple seats inside for waiting and two tables outside for dining. It was fun watching them cook everything right behind the counter, and the food came out relatively fast. Unfortunately, it just really fell flat on flavor, even with the sauces, which definitely helped, but just brought the dishes to a standard/mediocre level. The dumplings were almost too crispy, and the bun was a little too dry; the filling itself really did not impress. Maybe on a cold day I'd be tempted to give the dumplings another chance, and pair it up with a soup. I had heard a lot of great things about this place but I'm sad that it did not live up to the hype. It's a decent price point though and a nice portion for a mid afternoon snack if you're not looking for a huge meal. And its location in Reynolda Village can't be beat.

Yelp
May Way Dumplings is take out only. I was feeling under the weather and called in the "Dumpling Noodle Soup". When I tell you the flavor of the broth SLAPS!!! The soup is exploding with flavor. They give you enough for two servings as well. Atmosphere wise is very basic- like I stated it's take out only. The staff were very nice and I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
The dumplings here were 1000% worth the drive to Winston! Services was quick and the owner was friendly. Inside is super small, definitely a pick up spot. It is a walk up service, but there was two tables outside. The food, from the dumplings to the soup was delicious. Everything definitely felt homemade and flavorful. Loved the whole experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was quick. Dumpling noodle soup is delicious. It was flavorful and warm. They have two cute 2 seater tables outside. This is more of a take out spot. I will definitely return for the buns. They were so good.

Yelp
I love these guys, but pro tip, y'all: always always order ahead. There is always a line outside of people waiting for their food and I pop my head in, show a screenshot of my order number, and walk out immediately with hot dumplings and cold noodles. I like the sesame noodles and the fried, chicken dumplings best. (They're not fried chicken, they're fried dumplings and the protein in the filling is chicken as opposed to pork.) They were the first place to have boba in the area 10 years ago, which, missing Philly Chinatown, I used to get with some regularity. TBH, they're not my favorite for boba (Kung Fu Tea in High Point), but I give May Way props for early adopters in the area.

Yelp
I have been craving may way something fierce so when I found myself and a friend in Reynolda this was first on my list. The fried chicken dumplings and the Sesame peanut noodles always hit the spot. The mango lassi was the perfect drink to wash it all down with.

Yelp
My friend and I tried this place. Two Tibetan guys working hard to run their business but food was not very good. Both of us were disappointed sorry to say, I was shocked when I ordered the hot and sour soup and he stuck a frozen soup in a plastic container into a microwave. Uh... no. I don't go to restaurants for microwave food. The soup was tge worst I've ever had. The dumplings were also bland and cheaply made with grisle in the meat.

Yelp
This small place is mostly about the dumplings, though they offer buns, soups, rice , and noodles choices. I had not been here before though I did visit the location in Greensboro near the UNCG campus - it has since permanently closed, which was probably for the best! I ordered Fried Pork Dumplings (6 for $4.95), a Steamed Pork Bun ($2.60), and Seafood Shao Mai (6 for $4.95). The order was out quickly and I was on my way! The food was rather a mixed bag. The Steamed Pork Bun was bland and rather dry. The two varieties of dumplings were better, but neither would I describe as great, and the sauce lacked any zip. There simply are better dumplings (goyza, wontons, etc) in the immediate area - Don Express, Chiang Mai Thai, and especially those at New Sichuan! Pricing was good, service was efficient, but quality of the food was not what I'd hoped for - don't see a return visit!

Yelp
A hole in a wall shop that sells a variety of dumplings and other dishes. The pork bun was decent but nothing special. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this place again.

Faith M.

Yelp
The fried pork dumplings were so good. My first time having dumplings but I loved them. And so inexpensive.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday morning and the place was buzzing. The shrimp dumplings were super fresh and had that perfect translucent wrapper. I also loved the pork siu mai it was juicy and flavorful. The staff were quick even though it was packed. Would definitely return for another dim sum brunch.
google avatar

Devan B.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE their dumplings. Great little stop in for a quick bite, quick service. I can appreciate the small menu because it keeps the food tasty. I wouldn't recommend their Thai tea quite honestly, but I've had all of their dumplings and the peanut sauce noodles and would 100% recommend.

Yelp
So happy to find dumplings in Winston & I wanted to try them all! Located in the adorable enclave of Reynolda Village, I ordered the fried pork dumplings, the hot steamed pork buns & hot veggie buns. First, the service was so fast & friendly & 2nd the dumplings were awesome! I will try the noodle soup & Korean rice next time as I will be back! What a tiny, terrific take out!
google avatar

Yelp
A favorite of ours for years, May Way still has the best dim sum in Winston-Salem. My tip is to order online ahead of time, and have plans for takeaway. We typically order ahead and then go eat at one of the benches nearby in Reynolda Village. Don't skip the pork buns. Also, try a peach bun for dessert. It's delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the dumplings, either. It's so affordable - so why not go all out and try a bit of everything?
google avatar

Julianna A.

Yelp
Tiny place, two tables outside. Most people order takeout. However, if it's a sunny day it's a perfect spot to enjoy some dumplings and boba. The boba has a tasty chewiness to it. Simple menu, from the looks of it food is made dress and homemade. This place is a must try
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is a favorite of mine in the Wake Forest area. It's easy to get to in Reynolda Village, super cheap, and has convenient online ordering options. I've tried several things here; I'd say my favorite has been the sour cold noodles with apple in them, but today I tried the dumplings and buns. Both of these have a barbecue sauce in them that I loved; it's got a bit of a sweet and sour flavor. I sat outside to enjoy my food on one of the two tables outside of the restaurant since there's no dine in; it's a small storefront. There's plenty of places to take your food being at Reynolda Village though. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
I went on a beautiful day so it was no issue to sit outside. Now that the weather is getting colder, keep in mind that there really isn't an option for traditional indoor seating. I arrived at 11am as they unlocked the doors and there was an immediate line to get it. That's when I knew it was going to be good! The dumpling noodle soup had so much flavor. I also tried the pork dumplings and pork bun. Everything was top notch quality and the the prices were great. Highly recommend May Way Dumplings

Anastasia T.

Yelp
I love May Way Dumplings! Every time I visit Reynolds Village I stop by for steamed pork buns , I also like their sweet and sour cold noodles. Servings are large and very yummy!! Service is aways kind. You can take your food and eat while listening to the birds and looking at the flowers, what a cute spot!

Arshan S.

Yelp
The food in this place is amazing. They have a huge variety of drinks and Asian food and their dumplings are some of the best I've ever had. It's easy to order using the phone number and they pack everything well and give you chopsticks to eat with aswell. It's in a very nice area in reynolda village which looks amazing with many other shops there too. I do wish apps like DoorDash and uber eats had this place because of just how good the food here is I wish I could have it every day. Overall it's a great local business and you should definitely try it .

Yelp
Great dumplings and noodles. Always hits the spot when I get a craving for it and I don't feel I've found any other places that match

Yelp
Cute little place with solid dumplings, their noodle soup isn't good don't try it but that's okay. There is next to no indoor seating but plenty in the area. Definitely will go again.

Yelp
slow and bad. very disorganized and very few employees. they accept orders from calls, in person, and online and they never keep track and make orders out of order. inside is very cramped and stuffy and hot. hard to stay inside for long. only a few chairs to sit on outside right by the street

Yelp
Updating my review and still giving 5 stars for that dumpling sauce and their amazing bubble teas. So good! They have made a few changes for the pandemic: First, their prices have sadly increased somewhat. I'm not sure by how much exactly, but I recall that for the same $30 I was charged this most recent time that in the past I would've gotten more food and a couple of bubble teas. Secondly, they removed the pearl chicken from the menu. I guess it wasn't a big hit, even though Lace liked it. Third change, they've added online ordering via their website so you can order and pay ahead and collect your food at the door. They are great at taking precautions, but they did include sauce with my daughter's dumpling order when we asked for no sauce. I still recommend this place for when you're in Reynolda. Great for a picnic on the grounds.

Yelp
Love this place! It's a go to whenever I'm in town. I always order for pick up and it's ready in about 15 minutes. The dumplings are always fresh and delicious and at an excellent price! Highly recommend

Vandana P.

Yelp
Really cute little shop in Reynolda Village! Food is made fresh to order and service is great. Not much room to eat there but that's totally fine.

Yelp
Had high hopes for May Way from the reviews/pictures I've seen of their food. Located in Reynolda Village in Winston-Salem, it's a very small corner location to where you could easily miss (very small signs). Since COVID, they are take out only and was kind of a pain to deal with. No one comes to the door to tell you otherwise, you have to look at signs (or eventually on their site) to know to call in or order online....didn't discover til we got there. We waited a good hour for our food (the summer heat didn't help). There was not a notification/call that our food was ready...I had to call back and what seemed like a lady who wasn't at the location answered and had to relay to the guy who was actually at the restaurant....cooking alone. I then had to walk back and wait at the door hoping he'd even notice me to ask about my order, which finally happened. This, along with 4-5 other people outside waiting/confused. After finally getting the food, I was really disappointed for the most part. The fried dumplings weren't bad, the buns and cold noodles were the most disappointing. The dumplings and buns sat in a super sweet/sticky sauce which overpowered any kind of flavor of either items. The cold noodle dish was 80-20 noodle to sauce ratio...which was kind of lose-lose Bc it was a basic peanut sauce anyway. Plus hard to even mix and eat since the amount of noodles took up the entire small container. The dumplings we finished but ate only 30% of the buns and noodles. I wish I had a better experience for the wait and anticipation.

Linda L.

Yelp
The dumplings are delicious but a bit chewy. Noodles are always good. The customer service is good. No complaints. I hope one day the place will expand to its own location.
google avatar

Patricia S.

Yelp
Had a craving for fried dumplings and boba and to my surprise this place turned out to be pretty good.
google avatar

Erin B.

Yelp
I love this place. They have amazing food and timely service. When I order on the app, my food is ready at the time I requested. I often see a long line out the door.

Hannah W.

Yelp
Usually get the dumpling noodle soup but when for the beef noodle soup (special). Same base, just beef instead of the dumplings. 1 quart of absolutely delicious soup. Perfect amount of heat (and it does have a kick). Ordered online, ready and hot with utensils packed at scheduled pickup time. Always have great customer service.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
Best Dumplings in the State!! The soup was exceptional, and the fried pork dumplings were stellar...Look forward to trying the rest of the menu!
google avatar

Greg P.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is very small and is generally take out. There is 1 small table inside with room for three people and two small tables outside with seating for two/three people. The staff is very friendly but that does not overcome the general quality of the food. Everything was, unfortunately, subpar. We had high hopes for this place considering the good reviews. But I do not get those reviews. The fried pork dumplings taste like frozen dumplings purchased from a supermarket. The hot steamed pork bun also tastes like frozen supermarket ones. The spicy curry is oily, and the meat, while tender and tasty it is lacking in quantity. The Korean chicken looks and tastes like Chinese sweet and sour chicken. The Pearl Chicken is good but on the smaller side. If you are looking for authentic dumplings, this is not the spot.
google avatar

Gia H.

Yelp
The secret is in the sauce - it is crack! The chicken and pork dumplings are always crisped to perfection and generously drizzled with that wonderful sauce. As a student, I find myself ordering from May Way Dumplings on a weekly basis due to its delicious taste, abundant portions, and reasonable pricing.

Jenn M.

Yelp
Not my favorite... dumplings were small, chewy, and didn't have much filling. The cold noodle salad was just ok and the thai tea had grainy tasting boba in it. Probably won't be back.
google avatar

Terry C.

Yelp
It's a nice little place with somewhat authentic food items. Not bad for Winston Salem Area. Good price too
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
Best steamed dumplins around. Love the spicy noodles and steamed buns too. Great staff and cute little place in Reynolda Village.

Yelp
Delicious food prepared freshly to order. Atmosphere is unassuming, very small but definitely a hidden gem!

Yelp
May Way Dumplings is always on the list of places to go when in Winston Salem. I stumbled upon this amazing dumpling shop from a friend's IG story. The shop is tiny with just a few seats no more than 10. Each order is made fresh as you wait. It's a small operation with just 2 employees. I have loved everything I've ordered from May Way. I think my favorite is the pork dumplings. The soy sauce compliments the dumplings so well and the dumplings are both steamed and fried to perfection! They also offer buns, noodle salads and bubble tea. I have tried all of these items but the dumpling reign supreme. May Way Dumplings will not disappoint!!! May Way Dumplings 2201 Reynolda Rd Winston-Salem, NC 27106
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
May Way is a delightful treat! Inside is very small so be prepared to take out. The Hot Steam Pork Bun was fluffy and flavorful and the fried pork dumplings were perfectly cooked.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Reliably tasty -- that's how I'll describe this little shop squeezed into the middle of the Reynolda Village complex. While the compact nature of the eatery leaves little room for dining, with only a very short counter and a pair of two-seat tables available, the simple yet delicious food found here keeps me coming back. My most common order: fried pork dumplings along with hot & sour soup.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
So wanted to like this place as I've been desperate to find good Chinese here... First, is a small but clean establishment with a 99 health score. A little hard to understand the server but she was polite and very friendly. Heard they were known for their noodles so she suggested Chongquing noodles. They are spaghetti noodles. Seriously. Had an odd spice and some stringy vegetable that you could not chew through. Sichuan wontons with chili oil...sorry, again did not care for flavor. Crab Rangoon was excellent! I've had the chicken and broccoli on a separate occasion and it was lacking any flavor but the quality is fvthe food was fresh...if that makes sense.

Maddie M.

Yelp
The dumplings were fine, but our experience was not. We were in town from Charlotte for an appointment. It was cold and rainy but I had promised my son dumplings so we came here. We walked to the front door and waited. No one let us in so we stood there freezing in pouring rain while they took our order. When we got our food we went to the car to eat and whoever had packed our dumplings had them sitting in a pool of sticky sauce which spilled all out of the floppy styrofoam containers and got all over the car seat. Like, why can't you just give us the sauce in a tight closed condiment container when it's a to-go order?! Why are you stacking styrofoam containers on top of each other in a plastic bag for customers to bring home? It was awful. We had to go to the donut shop across the street to wash our hands and clothes so we wouldn't drive back all sticky. That being said, we had dumplings and bao, both of which was alright. Nothing special to write home about.
google avatar

Andrew V.

Yelp
Only to go orders This pace is a decent triad taste of dumplings and bubble tea And then walk it off on the trails
google avatar

Willie V.

Yelp
Great tasty dumplings and pork buns. We always come visit here, when in Winston-Salem. It's in Reynolda Village, near the gardens, and a park. Placed in the old horse stables, it's a quaint location. The pork buns are fantastic. I haven't had them often, but these are fantastic. Great flavors, mellowed by the gentle buns. I hear they're made by a Shaolin Master, who once played soccer on the World Cup.
google avatar

Eleanor A.

Yelp
I will always have a soft spot for May way dumplings. I often go to Reynolda to lay out a blanket and read and I frequently go to May way to grab dumplings and some Boba. Truly the best in Winston. The owner is so funny and always remembers us when we come. I love the taro boba, the cold noodles, and you can neverrrr go wrong with the pork dumplings or pork bun :).
google avatar

Steph G.

Yelp
My young adult son loves his place and takes everybody he can. While I enjoyed learning about and trying his favorite dumpling place, I cant say I was super impressed. The staff was cranky, the food was mediocre. But, it wasn't horrible and my son took me, so 4 stars it is. :)
google avatar

Kay M.

Yelp
Service was good! Covid safe. Ordered the dumpling noodle soup it was good. Could use some flavor but still really good. Fried pork and chicken dumplings were tasty. Overall a good place to go area is really nice!

Anna S.

Yelp
Nice service, decent food, quick & easy. They're dumplings are small and decent not the best but for around this area they're pretty good especially with the sauce.
