Maya Taqueria of East Village

This place gives me hope for the burritos of nyc. Easily one of the best burritos in Manhattan and reminds me of my time living in SF. So happy to have this in the neighborhood, highly recommend.

As a Los Angeles native living in East Village, I missed this style of Mexican food. Chicken burrito was massive and flavorful. Love the salsa bar and pickled jalapeño carrots, really reminded me of a west coast taqueria. Will be back!

Amazing spot! The chipotle chicken is perf 🤌 and the passion fruit popsicle was what I needed this summer. Love that they’re open late—finally a place with great food and staff that actually care. Definitely my go-to for lunch, dinner and dependable in my rotation 👏

My burrito was dry and flavorless. It was basically all rice, I couldn’t even taste the sour cream or spice. BIG DISAPPOINTED :(

Having been to the other Maya locations I had high expectations for this one, and it did not disappoint! Great service and love the food!

Excellent burritos, nice staff, but salsa cups are wayyy too small (you need 3 for a single burrito) so multiple burritos gets very tedious.

I was so excited for this place to open but then so disappointed when I ordered food. - delivery arrived completely cold, which is weird because I live close - they didn't follow any item instructions (sauce on the side, no onions, no Guac. Etc) - not sure what's up with the quesadillas... they're legit huge in a bad way - but the serious offense here is the salsa. The salsa is BAD. The red is hot with no flavor. The green is literally water. It's green water. Onion and cilantro flavored water. End of the day - you can't trust a place that can't make a semi-decent salsa.

Once again Maya does not miss! Just moved to the east village and I was so excited to hear Maya expanding right in my neighborhood. This location is just as fantastic as the other ones. The place looked amazing, service was awesome, and that cali burrito was delicious !

Service was very friendly!! I got the carne asada quesadilla and it was delicious. Great portion and flavor. I was pleasantly surprised to see chips included. Salsa bar is cool. Definitely will be going back!
