The Best Restaurants and Bars in the Lower Garden District (LGD) | Eater New Orleans

"Mayas has been serving Latin American fusion since 2007, and remains an under the radar destination for ceviche, empanadas, ropa vieja, and fresh, creative cocktails — as well as an excellent Cuban sandwich available only at lunch. Dine at the restaurant’s center bar or at a sidewalk table, and settle in to try a little of everything, and a lot of drinks — palomas are two for one all day Saturday, and brunch cocktails go for $5." - Clair Lorell

Come inside this place with an open mind. Thai-Latin Fusion. The highlights of our meal were the date/blue cheese guacamole and the “A Caballo” the tuna Tartar was also fantastic and tres leches cake was a nice finish to a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back.

Google
Absolutely delicious food— highly recommend the sesame softshell crab and the Cuban skirt steak. Got the passionfruit ginger frozen margarita and now I fear I will crave one often this summer. Sweetest staff, great food, great drinks. A true gem of Magazine Street.

Google
If I could make this 6 stars, I would. Let me start with the Mojitos. Some of the best I've ever tasted. The prices are very reasonable and the sugar cane stick made it authentic. The food was outstanding. Went for breakfast and got what you see pictured. I just don't feel like writing it all out but they will know what you want. This is a must visit spot on Magazine. Update 20 Apr 25 Mojitos are still good with the stick of sugar cane. The curry has great flavor. And the service was outstanding.

Google
My favorite place to visit every week. The Jamaican Shrimp curry, and all the drinks are amazing. Specially the Chihuahua Sour and the Sotol Old Fashioned. It’s a must go in New Orleans.

Google
Upscale Latin cuisine that doesn’t disappoint! Familiar dishes with a nice range of offerings. Several vegetarian indicated on the menu. I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla and sweet plantains. Both were as good as I would expect. The specialty margarita was fantastic. My dining mate got the seafood coconut soup that looked like a curry soup. I’m looking forward to returning to try the paella and the flaming dessert. The overall vibe was great and the service is top notch. There was a little mix up with my order but it was fixed quickly and were very nice.

Google
Mayas appears to be in a category of its own... 'a melting pot of dishes and flavors from Spain, Portugal, South America, Central America, and Mexico, as well as Cuba and other Caribbean islands.' I found the menu quite intriguing and unique. If you've spent more than a couple weeks in NOLA, you start looking for alternatives to the standard Creole faire (wonderful as it may be, becomes redundant and not always that remarkable). I have not been impressed with the Latin faire I've had in NOLA so far, but Mayas is definitely exceptional. The menu is extensive...the most creative and varied Latin and Caribbean menu I've seen. The presentation was outstanding and artistic. For a cocktail, I had the 'Phenomenal Margarita, a nice presentation in a large goblet. For an app, the Ceviche Dorado, nicely presented. Then 2 of the Cuban Egg Rolls (like a Cuban sandwich, but in an egg roll wrapper. I could have stopped there, but was anxious to try the Paella, figuring it would also make for good breakfast leftovers. Very good, not like a Spanish Paella, but I like this yellow rice style at least as well although I would have preferred more saffron. The chef is really experienced here at Mayas. The food comes out fast, but looks like they took their time to make the dish beautiful. I highly recommend Mayas, the best Latin food I've found in NOLA so far.

Google
Came for a Christmas dinner with a friend because she said it was a good spot. I love the Christmas decor and enjoyed the ambiance. Service was pretty decent. Waitress was attentive and did not have any issues especially since we came an hour before closing. Ordered Mayas curry, enchiladas verde, churrasco steak, empanadas (chicken and the beans and chorizo), and mojitos. The empanadas were not worth the price. Small portion and did not really have that much flavor. I also ordered the steak because I love chimichurri sauce, but I felt like it was lacking flavors too so I would not order that again. It also came with rice and black beans which tasted bland too. The enchiladas was the best! I highly recommend!! The mojitos were good, but I felt like it was mainly ice…you definitely are paying more for presentation than the alcohol. My favorite thing about this place is the vegetarian options. I like how they have a lot of that! I would not mind returning, but it also would not be my first choice.

Yelp
Had lunch here yesterday and i thoroughly enjoyed everything. My server was very attentive. They bring out a mango "salsa" to start. It's more reminiscent of sweet chili sauce than salsa but delicious nonetheless. I got the crab and shrimp ceviche which this dish alone will have me coming back and again and again! I also ordered the shrimp tostada lunch special which came with soup or salad. I opted for the soup which was a delicious chicken and vegetable soup. I also had 2 lychee martinis which were probably the best lychee martinis I've ever had. The foodie in me was pleased and I Ieft full as a tick. No room for dessert, maybe next time.

Yelp
We are ready to have some Brazilian food in New Orleans (creole tomorrow, stay tuned). We tried another place and did not like the vibe at all, so we came here to Mayas spur of the moment. It is super friendly and inviting. The cocktails are anazing and the food is so good. We ordered the Brazilian Moquaceta and it was spectacular. Also ordered crunchy plantains , one of my favorite things, and they did not disappoint. Crunchy deliciousness. The mango salsa is so darn good! I do love spicy food and he does not, so it is always a nice surprise when we find a salsa we both like. I do want to point out that everything served is also so pretty! The drinks, the food, and the appetizers are served with aesthetics in mind. We loved this place! Thank you!

Yelp
I had my birthday dinner here 1/3/2025. Love the decor, bright and colorful, true to culture. The offerings are a bit of different Latin cultures (Mexican, Nicaraguan, Venezuelan, etc). Lots of vegetarian options, but not necessarily vegan. We ordered mojitos and caipirinhas in a variety of flavors. If I had to choose, I would say go for the caipirinhas over the mojitos. For appetizers we ordered guacamole, spinach empanadas and calamari. I appreciate that the food didn't take a long time to arrive. My dish was the enchiladas rojas and it was very flavorful and large portion size. The spinach empanadas were incredible. I would go back just for that! We enjoyed our time there.

Yelp
Oh my gosh! I found this divinely delicious restaurant while attending a conference in NOLA. The drinks were delicious. My friend and I both had Mojitos which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was very tasty and so flavorful. Our server was super sweet and helpful. We had a reservation-recommend if you visit on a weekend. We sat in the front window-perfect for people watching! This was an all around pleasant experience. Definitely worth a visit! I know I will be a repeat customer.

Yelp
We went here for my birthday. Everything was perfect. The dining room was not too crowded and the service was great. We started with a chicken quesadilla which was Monterrey, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sautéed poblano pepper and sweet onions. Topped house pink sauce, queso fresco and pico de gallo. It was so fresh and tasty. For our entrees, my husband had the A CABALLO RIBEYE which was described as "Over sautéed potatoes, onions and tomatoes in a savory sauce topped with fried eggs, jasmine rice and sweet plantains." I had a bite and it was so good. The meat was full of flavor and depth. I had the DORADO which was lightly fried Mahi topped with sautéed shrimp in a Thai-Jamaican yellow or red curry coconut sauce. Served over jasmine rice. I can't wait to go back and i will order this again. For dessert, we had sauteed plantains that were topped with ice cream and 151 rum and then set ablaze. Perfect ending to a perfect meal. The prices were great too.

Yelp
I came to Mayas for Christmas with my family and was greeted with the most wonderful and beautiful decorations which added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It's very nice and quaint upstairs. The service was lacking a little but I expected nothing less considering that it was Christmas day but once the food was brought out, I was amazed by the beautiful plating and exquisite taste. I loved Mayas and I think anyone who comes in would too!

Yelp
Not a tourist; I live in the neighborhood. Have eaten here a few times and never had a problem. I don't go often because it can be a bit pricey but this was for a special occasion and the menu in the window looked really good (turns out that menu was for a pop-up in the French Quarter, which it did state... but you can understand why you might assume a window menu would be for that same restaurant). First off, our waiter seemed new. There were a few simple questions he wasn't able to answer (is the tilapia a whole fish or is it a filet, for example) and there was a decent language barrier. That's fine, but probably more appropriate at a cheaper mom and pop restaurant than here where my entree was $28. The chips that came with salsa were stale. The "fresh batch" that came out wasn't much better. We ordered a red curry and the lechon pork. The pork came with yuca fries and fried plantains. You literally get 2 yuca fries, and ours came 100% at room temperature. When we asked for freshly fried fries, they simply took ours to the back and dipped them in oil (it came back with our original bite marks). Otherwise, the lechon pork and black beans dish was OK but very salty. The "red" curry color was very pale yellow, and when I asked our waiter to confirm it was supposed to be the red curry, he got another waitress who was very short with me and got the chef to come out, who was also pretty aggressive about the whole thing and insisted that red curry was simply yellow curry with more heat. That's fine, but no need to get aggressive about it when I was simply trying to make sure I had the right order. Also, pretty sure they used frozen shrimp. I almost never leave reviews, but this really was quite a negative experience.

Yelp
I love This place!!!! GREAT vibes. I gotta say, it's def a hidden gem. Pretty much everything there is delish. Stars for me: ELOTE APP! It's was AMAZING! Cuban egg rolls were so yummy too!! The drinks are Fire!!! Ask for the blackberry mojito or the kiwi mojito!! We sat at the bar and it was so fun. Jessica was a great server. No res needed.

Yelp
Beautiful, light-filled ambiance with lots of colorful art. Really strong service. Johana was friendly, attentive and quick. Food was amazing. Huge portions! Lovvvveeeedddd the tortilla soup. The sweet plantains and original guacamole have me dreaming of having them again. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is beautiful and always perfection. Service is excellent and venue is cozy! Edgar makes excellent cocktails that pair nicely with the menu. I especially like the Pisco Sours and Caiprihanas.

Yelp
We sat up at the bar to eat and drink. I had the Mayas Margarita (as I figured if it had the Maya name, it should be good). It seems pricey ($18), but honestly, it was huge and equivalent to two margaritas. It was BEAUTIFULLY garnished to boot! The hubby had the Sotol Old Fashioned. It was smokey and good! Not that many places serve Sotol, so just do it. We shared the Ceviche Dorado which was one of the best ceviches I have ever had. So much so that I am going to try and duplicate it at home. We would definitely go back when in NOLA. I nice change from having had so much Cajun/NOLA food. The service was very efficient.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. Best ceviche in town. Great art. Twinkling lights. Ideal place for romantic meal or take the kids.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time a couple weekends ago and have since already ordered to go as well. The restaurant itself is small, quaint and peaceful. You can tell the staff have a family like relationship. Waiter Josh was great each time. The Latin food has a special flare to it, their own personal touch, some maybe even would say an Asian flare? Either way, it is all handmade and fresh. We love the ceviche and fried elote. As well as the ropa vejas and sopa de Azteca. So much that we ordered the sopa and fried elote again to go. Would highly recommend. Did not try any of the cocktails. But they all looked delicious as they were being made.

Yelp
Okay! With the better quality Juan's only a few blocks away, and the much more festive and SRO Superior Grill that's just a mile away, Maya has become comparatively Meh. Regardless, it's still a good choice for a quieter dining experience.

Yelp
After walking up and down Magazine, this is such a great spot to get amazing food! They have a small outside seating area and both booths and tables inside. The decor is so cute, I loved it! We started off with drinks and I highly recommend the Peach Cilantro Margarita. I know, I wasn't sure about it either but it was so sweet, refreshing and tasty! For food, I wanted a mix of savory and sweet and the Bacon Maduros was perfect. I am a BIG bacon and sweet plantain girl so this was all I needed. I was very happy! My friends got the crab and shrimp ceviche and the Quesadilla con Rajas and they all tasted amazing! 10/10!

Yelp
My wife and I are on a quick trip to NOLA, and were walking around Magazine Street when we realized we were pretty hungry. We popped into this place on a whim, and were quite surprised by how many vegetarian options were available to her. Looking over the menu, everything sounded great! We ended up going with the sweet plantains as an appetizer. We love empanadas, and were happy that they come two to an order so we could mix and match. She had the spinich and cheese, and I had the chorizo and black bean. Both the plantains and the empenadas were incredibly flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly! We then got the azteca tortilla soups for our entrées. As someone who loves a good tortilla soup, I was really happy to see one that didn't include chicken (they almost always do). The spice level was perfect, the flavors were spot on, and it came in a very generous portion. Our server even poured the broth for us tableside, ensuring that the tortilla strips themselves didn't get soggy. Speaking of our server, Josh, he struck the perfect balance between attentiveness, but also left us be to talk and enjoy our conversation and meal. He's a really friendly and funny guy, clearly knew the menu inside and out, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed everything. He's a great server, and I say this as someone who worked in fine dining service for about 7 years. We couldn't ask for a better experience, start to finish. They pay attention to food quality, everything was fresh and delicious, the portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. I could easily recommend Maya to anyone in the area. They clearly take a lot of pride in their establishment, and they should!

Yelp
My husband and I came here for a date night recently and LOVED IT. Inside is so cute with little twinkle lights, service was speedy and personal, and the food and drink were phenomenal, not to mention so affordable! We got a Paloma and spicy watermelon margarita to drink-ingredients were so fresh, quite delicious and so pretty! To eat, we got the seafood tostones (warm yummy hearty plantains topped with a bunch of seafood and a delicious sauce!), ceviche de Mercado (holy moly this was a feast-absolutely stunning presentation and the food was just as delicious and fresh, with some crispy calamari as well; it comes with tortilla chips for dipping so we added an extra side of fried plantains/tostones), and then we tried the beef and the beans+chorizo empanadas (crisped to perfection with a perfect portion of meat, they didn't skimp!) We will most definitely be back very soon, and tell all our friends! This place is awesome!
google avatar

Max S.

Yelp
Went to Mayas for an early lunch with family and ordered the empanadas and pork enchiladas. The food was very good and clearly a big step up from the typical place offering empanadas, enchiladas, etc. The great location, excellent food, flawless service, reasonable prices all earn Mayas five stars!
google avatar

Eunice A.

Yelp
We got stuck in NOLA for another day and I'm glad we did because we found this gem. Food was awesome. It was like a taste of home. Service was good. The ambiance was nice and the drinks were even better. I would recommend this place to all. So good.
google avatar

Devin W.

Yelp
The quesadillas con rajas is one of my favorite meals in New Orleans, even though I think it's technically an appetizer. I also love the Caipirinhas. Some days they're really packed, and other days you make a reservation and there are only 2 other parties in the restaurant. I'd make a reservation just in case. Chips & salsa are served to the table, but the salsa portion is small. Always have gotten good, quick service.
google avatar

Yelp
While everyone was either at the Saints game or watching it somewhere, we girls decided to play tourists in our own city. Magazine St is usually crowded so we took this rare opportunity to come here for lunch and not have to worry about long waiting lines or service. As we sat down, we were offered complementary chips and a sweet salsa. I had the Paella Valenciana. It was delicious. My plate has shrimp, clam, mussels, calamari, chicken and Spanish chorizo over saffron rice. Everyone else enjoyed their own food also. Service was fast due to the Saints game and Magazine St. was not crowded. Very friendly and attentive staff.
google avatar

Kameron B.

Yelp
15/10 experience! Service was wonderful- they were able to seat us early with no issue. The waitress did not rush us at all! ALL of the food was amazing- not one bad thing to say. The cuban egg rolls were crunchy and savory. The cuban grilled skirt steak with rice and beans was everything to write home about! Lastly, the ambiance is so nice! Perfect for a date night!

Yelp
Recommend? Yes, but only if it's convenient. I got the tostones and the tofu moqueca. The pickled veggies on top of the tostones made it really good. The tofu moqueca was a true surprise. I knew the description said there's lime, but I didn't expect it to have such a strong effect on the dish. I personally didn't enjoy it because I'm used to Vietnamese curry and a Thai red curry. It's not bad perse, but very different to me. The tofu did have a hint of sour as well and I'm going to attribute that to it being in the curry so it soaked the flavor versus the alternative which is it being bad. Overall, it's a great atmosphere and if you get the right item menu it would be a really good time.
google avatar

Heather E.

Yelp
Delicious and creative Latin American food - not only Mexican but also Caribbean, Brazilian, and Caribbean options. Wonderful!

Yelp

Yelp
We loved everything about Mayas. We were headed to a brunch spot and saw the sign for this restaurant! Everything was great. Service, ambiance and food couldn't have been better. Can't wait to make another visit.

Yelp
Friday evening we stopped into Maya's around 5pm as we were killing time walking down magazine street. The space is fun and welcoming, with a lot of cool decor and a super friendly staff. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was AMAZING. The staff let us know that everything is made in house and to order, which definitely showed in the quality of the food. We ordered the guacamole and the Cuban egg rolls to start, as well as the ceviche Dorado and skirt steak Cubano. Everything was fresh, the portions were filling and well presented, and every plate was delicious. We also ordered the Phenomenal Margarita which lived up to its name. Overall we loved the food and drinks, the vibe was cute and fun, and staff were nice and helpful. We'll definitely come back and absolutely recommend it!
google avatar

Jaime B.

Yelp
We've been to Maya's a couple times now after a friend recommended it and we've never left even slightly disappointed. This place is a New Orleans must try. The food is so good and the drinks are great too. The chips with guac are homemade and so delicious & crunch. The chicken on both dishes was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. The service there has also always been top notch. On our most recent visit, I tried the Italian wedding soup (SO good) and the empanadas (delicious). We devoured all of it before we could even take pictures. Overall, you can always count on Mayas for a great experience.

Yelp
Blown away!!! Went for my first time today and everything was magnificent! Best mojito and guacamole we've ever had. Carne Asada, Huevos rancheros, enchiladas, and omg the churros!! Every single item my family ordered was delicious. I can see us being regulars here.

Connie L.

Yelp
Latin American food at its best! Interesting menu and big portions with home cooked flavors. Don't miss the wonderful hand crafted cocktails made with care by the owner himself. So yummy! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner.

Craig C.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was interesting, unique and delicious. Comp chips came with mango salsa that gave it a little sweetness. Cuban egg rolls were a generous portion. Salad had greens mixed with sautéed veggies topped with tortilla strips. Enchiladas Rojas and Verdes were delicious and took large portion home for leftovers. Second time here, will be back again!
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
This place is divisive. You either love the food enough to tolerate the service or you let service issues ruin your experience. The service is horrendously slow and they are finicky about splitting checks. If you can go in prepared to have a zen mind about both, it should be a memorable experience. Everyone at our table loved each dish ordered and felt that the quality of food was in line with or exceeded the price point. It took the five of us over two hours to get drinks, dinner, and a check with only five tables filled. It's honestly hard to understand why service is so slow but I'd still go back for the food.
google avatar

Rowena R.

Yelp
We are so impressed with this place. We walked by last night and it was so busy. We came early today and we can't compliment enough. The server is so friendly and kind. The food is delicious, fresh, clean. The ambiance is cozy, stylish, and romantic.

Janina A.

Yelp
Food, Service, and Ambiance is always on point. Love coming here it never disappoints.

Yelp
My friend and I decided to check this place out on a Sunday night after discovering Lilly's closed. His idea, not mine--I had scoped the menu online previously and the entrees looked exceedingly pricey, but you know what? This one time it was well worth it. SO glad we checked it out. We were starving, having just walked from the Quarter and it being nearly 9:00 PM, right before closing. Props to the staff for serving us so late. I ordered the tofu moqueca--a sort of vegetarian coconut milk stew from the north of Brazil, served with either rice or a small warm loaf of French bread. Amazing. All of it. Tangy, creamy, and spicy all at once, flavored heavily of coconut, lime, onions, and peppers, with fresh sliced tomatoes and cilantro on top. The tofu was in large meaty cubes, fried the way I like it. I opted for the mini baguette and it served as a perfect dipping spoon. My friend got the Cuban skirt steak which came with plantains, and he said it was the best meal he had while in New Orleans. The salsa, I admit, was a bit odd... unusually sweet like an asian pepper sauce, but we still ate all of it. Really enjoyable meal. Excellent, attentive service. I only wish it were more affordable; I'd be in there often since it's so close to home.

Patrice S.

Yelp
This place is one of the best I've gone to. It is so fresh. Every bite is a burst of flavor. The ceviche Mercado is beautifully presented and delicious. The sesame soft shell crab is also wonderful with a light batter and served with artistic flair. The staff is friendly and helpful. The special margaritas are thoughtfully prepared even when you take one to go. Our plastic cup had all of the colored sugars and salt just as the glass did when served in the restaurant. They handled a large group with ease. Super pleasant. Don't miss this place.

Yelp
Looking for a quick meal, I asked opentable what was nearby and I was recommended Mayas. Since we had never been there before we decided to give it a try. The meal was fantastic. We started with a bottle of sangria and ordered two appetizers. The appetizers were huge and delicious! I can only recommend things that we tried, and there are so many wonderful choices, but try the seafood tostones... my god they are good. After the apps we were feeling pretty full and wanted to try one more appetizer. We told the server that we really wanted to try the ropa vieja but didn't think we could eat it. She said that that dish was actually smaller than the appetizers we had so we got it.. Delicious! There are so many more things on the menu that we want to try and we can't wait to go back. The place is small and very nice. Our first table was a bit wobbly, but as soon as a different table opened up they moved us over to that one. The server was very nice and was eager to tell us about all of the menu items. Highly recommend that you check out Mayas as soon as you can!
google avatar

Carlos R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this jewel of great food. The appetizers and ceviches were delicious, specially the tostones with seafood, tuna tartar, fish and fry calamari. I can wait to go back and try the soup, vuelve a la vida and the skirt steak.

Fernando R.

Yelp
My partner and I passed this place on our way to another restaurant on a Saturday and the food smelled so good and it was packed and we made a note that we had to come back. Well, the NEXT NIGHT, our plans fell through and we came back. They were not very busy on Sunday and we were seated immediately. I'm a strict vegetarian and my partner eats no processed foods. They accommodated us with no changes or substitutions to the menu. The food is made only after you order, so the wait may be slightly longer than some people might be used to, but SO worth it. The decor is romantic and suggests a higher end ambiance, but it is fairly laid back and we did not stand out in our New Orleans summer gear (polo shirt and shorts and linen shortsleeved shirt and leggings). I'll be headed back for brunch on our next trip!

Yelp
It's hard to find a Latin cuisine restaurant place here in Nola but I found one!!! Mayas had a little bit of everything on the menu ...I loved the options. A little pricey but good and flavorful. The staff were really nice as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful setting. The chips & dip given when you are seated are yummy. My husband had pork over black beans and I had the veggie paella. His was delish, I wished mine had been seasoned so much more. Overall we want to try the place again.

Yelp
In early April, this year, I called Mayas to make a reservation for 10 people. During the conversation I directly asked if the restaurant would be open on Monday, Memorial Day May 29 for 1:pm. The gentlemen I spoke with assured me that the reservation was set and written on the schedule. He even sent me an email confirmation with all the details of the party I was planning. One of my guest called me the day before and was concerned that the website said that they were closed. So I called Mayas. The woman I spoke with, would only say that Mayas never opens on Mondays. I offered to send her a copy of the email confirmation. She did not apologize! She would only keep repeating "We're never open on Mondays". I found this to be rude and unprofessional. I had to scramble at the last minute and find a different restaurant for me and my friends.
google avatar

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
We lunched here fir the first time and we were very pleased with the ambiance, the service & the food. Complimentary chips & salsa came first to accompany our Sangria. Amazing how so many restaurants will charge for chips & salsa, but not Mayas. My Wife. a light eater, simply ordered the homemade guacamole, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Very fresh, with just the right amount of garlic. I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas verde, which came with a choice of side salad or soup. I opted for the salad, which did not disappoint. Fresh ingredients, just the right portion served with a delightful cilantro dressing. There were 4 enchiladas, smothered with a very satisfying sauce. We will dine here again soon!

Yelp
I've been in this area so many times, and yet I still haven't tried every stingle food spot. But the discovery story of this spot is worth telling. Stumbled in here with a group of friends post-parade on actual Mardi Gras... most places were closed, so this already seemed like a light at the end of the tunnel even though it was noon. Days into parading we were starving for delicious food and good cocktails. BUt we're locals, so we're still judgy. Mayas delivered on both counts: delicious food and good cocktails! The atmosphere is so much fun, lively, and positive. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has some amazing options that kind of made it hard to decide, but between us all (6 people total) we tried a bit of everything. No one had a complaint about their dish or drink. We laughed our way through an amazing meal. Thinking it was just a fluke, I've been back few times, and nope - not a fluke. This is just a great spot to stop in with friends and enjoy delicious drinks with tasty food. I've enjoyed everything on the menu I've tried. Easily a place you can feed people with differing palates since the menu is large. If you - like me - have passed this place a million times, you should stop in. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Showed up and was told only taking reservations and could not accommodate walk ins. Made reservations on OpenTable and Mayas refused to honor. If you make reservations here, you better make sure to call and check before showing up. Very unprofessional and bad service experience.

Yelp
I grew up with my amazing mom cooking amazing Cuban food. All Cuban/Caribbean/Latin food against moms cooking. I've been to amazing Cuban restaurants in Miami, Las Vegas and nothing has been better than Maya's. The drinks are incredible, I've had several meals here now and have had bites of food shared by friends and every bite has been incredible. Please locals and those visitors, make this a top 3 spot to visit.
