This place is awesome! Couple great wines for good BTG prices, a great beer selection on tap and in the coolers, and a welcoming atmosphere. Plus some board games and Saturday Drag Bingo! What’s not to like? No food service but carts on certain nights Doggie friendly Good hangout spot!

Great little place with an awesome tap list, cans, bottles, and wine to choose from. They also do amazing food pop-ups every week!

Coolest bar/bottle shop in Kenton. Chill atmosphere with a unique tap list that is incredibly easy to read. They constantly have something going on. Best to follow on Facebook for up to date food carts.

What a great neighborhood bottle shop. The variety of beers means there’s always something that you’ll want, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the space is welcoming and spacious. And the plants- they look happy and make me want to drink more beers.

I moved to Kenton around the same time as Mayfly opened up, so I've been fortunate enough to only know the neighborhood with Mayfly in it. When I first started visiting, I was excited to find a local spot to enjoy a well curated beverage selection, both in the coolers and on draft. Over time, I realized that I had found not just a watering hole, but a community hub. Mayfly hosts live events (trivia, drag bingo, comedy shows), organizes community trash pick-ups, and enthusiastically supports and recommends other small business in the area. Ryan and the rest of the incredibly friendly staff always greet me with a smile and a suggestion, and never cease to make me feel welcome. Even in the midst of the adversity of the past pandemic year, they have tried to focus on the positive energy of bringing the community together and I can't think of a better place to Be Good and Have Fun. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by.

I was out walking my dog and he needed a bottle of water so we stopped in there and the bartender gave to bottle on the house because you know it's for my dog. It was such a wonderful wonderful thing to do. I'm going to have to go back in by myself and check the place out

A great place to grab a brew before or after a meal. They do not have food/meals just a few small pre packaged munchies. But you can get food delivered, or bring your own. There are some nice places close by for meals. It's very chill with good tunes always playing. Workers are super friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask questions about anything new and recommended. They know what they are doing here. Looking to expand your taste, this is a good place. They host gatherings and markets from time to time. There is a nice outside area and a good amount of seating inside. Good for groups or just wanting to hang.

We've always drove past this taproom and have always wanted to check it out we now were able to as me and my GF were on the Kenton wine walk. The bartenders were very fun and seemed to enjoy there work which is always great. They also had different beers on tap. My problem with Portland bars right now is a lot of em have the same beers on tap so it was refreshing to see and have different beers. Since it's a bottle shop you can also buy exclusive beers and seltzers and ciders to go. Will most definitely be back here.

Mayfly is one of my favorite taprooms in Portland. We don't live nearby, but find ourselves here often. One of my favorite features is their wine selection. While I drink from their well curated draft beer list, my non beer friends grab a bottle of wine from the cooler and chill with us. Mayfly hosts fun events throughout the month including Trashy Sunday and Bingo. During one Sunday a month, we spend an hour picking up trash in Kenton and get a free beer. Saturday Bingo with Peachy Springs is always a riot. The taproom is at max capacity and the positive energy in the room is strongly present. Mayfly isn't just a taproom, it's a beautiful, friendly, joyous community space.

Holy hell, we loved this place! The beer is outstanding, the service is even better, and it's a super great space. I can't wait for an excuse to go back.

We stumbled onto the Mayfly Taproom on a sweltering July evening, where a weekly trivia competition was underway (hosted by several extremely personable hosts). Why this place isn't the talk of Kenton town I do not know - amazing beer selection, friendly and efficient staff, a setting that feels private but still in the mix. An incredible bar and gathering place. I cannot recommend it enough!

Easy to rate this place high for all its friendliness, community support and wonderful staff. It's a great place to meet and hang out with your neighbors over a good brew or glass of wine. They just have snacks in the way of food but, heck, they don't mind if you bring your own food and eat it at their tables out in the newly spruced up plaza area. They've really upgraded the look and feel of that block that is now closed off to traffic. That wonderful plot of flowers near the picnic tables used to be an eyesore full of trash and weeds. Mayfly owner Ryan planted it with cheerful flowers and has kept it growing all season, even in all the heat we had. Yay Ran. Steven and I went to Mayfly thinking that it was a brewery. It isn't a brewery but they have plenty of beer in cans as well as a broad selection of guest beers on tap. So Mayfly is more like a tap house. We don't often see all of the Oregon selection of beer brands you can buy in the cans so we always slow down a bit in places like this and take a good look at the selection since the selection of beers in Oregon is definitely different in brand names than Washington state. What really got my attention at Mayfly was the CBD elixir sodas in cans put out by Boneyard Brewing. We purchased the cola and the ginger sodas to take back home. We got around to trying them and loved both of the sodas... especially the cola one! Mayfly was a fun stop as we found unusual selections like those elixir sodas and the staff here was really friendly and totally awesome! I'd totally go back for another visit!

Wanted to support this newer place in the neighborhood tonight. Open sign was on, tattoo gauge McGee the bartender rolled his eyes when we walked in looked at his Bruh at the bar and said to us "you got 10 min"....it was 8:15 they close at 9. Over here at park side spending our money. That service model seems precarious for making money but whatever. good luck

I want this to be a five-star review and I will explain why it isn't.... But first the good!!! They have a pretty good beer selection it's not the largest tap room but you don't always need a hundred choices, they have a very well curated selection of beer on tap at all times, and the staff is knowledgeable about what they're serving. Staff amazing, super kind, really attentive, knowledgeable about their beer, and great customer service. They have a tiny snack menu but you're welcome to bring your own food from other restaurants around the area or once I brought a PB&j because it's what I had at home, I was on a budget, and it paired really well with the IPA I ordered. The lost star is because of the seating. I'm a plus sized (the plus size world I would actually be called mid-range), and their stools are probably some of the most uncomfortable stools I've ever sat on. Yes there are a couple of backless stools peppered throughout the tap room, you are not guaranteed one of them. Most of the stools have a tiny wire back and mini side rails that cuts into your sides and back, and for some I would assume it would make it so they couldn't use the stool at all. they're also quite tall and don't have great foot rests, so if you have shorter legs it might be difficult for you to find a comfortable position. They have a built in bench along one of their windowed walls but that too is very high and a very deep seat, so shorter legs might not fare well, and it will cut into the back of your legs even if you're tall, I'm 5 ft 8 and try to remember an extra sweatshirt so I can cushion the seat and save the back of my legs. The other option for seating is what I would call an Adirondack chair (?), but that's very low to the ground so if you have any kind of mobility issues seating is not the greatest. They do have picnic tables outside when weather is nice though. The seating issue will likely not be a problem for everybody, but it has been a deterrent for me, I'm more likely to buy some bottles from the cooler at Mayfly than stay and have a drink. I still think they're great, but I do wish their seating were more comfortable for all.

First, let me say, AWESOME space and vibe! I'll definitely be back and recommend that you come! But I'll get more into that in a bit. Before I get to the awesomeness, I have to admit something that's really bothering me. Take it with a grain of salt, as you would with ANY opinion... The chairs are super uncomfortable. *There* I said it. Whew! To be fair, I didn't try out the shorter version or the wooden bench that was occupied while I was there...both of those looked MUCH more comfy. The tall bar chair I was sitting in was difficult to get comfortable in as I kept sliding and due to my short legs had to keep positioning my feet on nearby chairs which was fine since it wasn't busy but would be super awkward and uncomfortable I'd the place was packed. If I was there with a group I'd probably opt to stand at the end of the table instead. OK. Now on to the good stuff! I can't believe there is only ONE review of this place. How long has it been open? Or is Yelp just the MySpace of reviews these days? Great location. And I say that as someone who does NOT live in the area, but it was super easy to get to, plenty of street parking, and I love being able to people-watch on a busy corner. Great natural light with tons of floor to ceiling windows. Cool artsy / Northwest / woodsy / plant theme and vibe. Especially the plants. LOVE the plants Great bottle selection. Great tap list! So nice to have something other that the usual IPAs and the same stuff everyone else has on tap across town. Also, I like the aesthetic style of the menu board, despite the fact that I prefer digital pour or a digital board...but wait, their taplist is on Untappd so...nevermind. Overall, kudos to a taproom well done.

Excellent selection of various beers, ciders, a mead amongst their 16 rotating taps. Superb service and small talk from bar manager Ryan who politely and preemptively poured generous tastes to help guide our ultimate decisions. Bar snacks available and any outside food more than welcome. Currently pouring: Delicious Cold Chillin' Cream Ale from Wild Ride brewing... light and refreshing, silky, smooth, and perfect for a hot day! Another unique option I gladly indulged in was their Nectarade Citrus Mead by Nectar Creek nearly blew my mind with it's very own version of a sort of 7-up citrusy Gatorade, but with 6.9% ABV. Wow, this is a 15/10 for sure! Since I moved into this connected apartments recently, I've been downstairs enjoying this playing quit often. They have everything from cheap, local, fancy, and dashing wines. I met Scott my first night there and you can tell he's passionate about what he does! Jenna is amazing too. The road is closed off atm for calm seating. They have fun merch, and $12 surprise beer cases. They're very sanitary and covid friendly as well. This place is amazing for a first date or a calm night to wind down. Best taproom in Portland for sure.

So I started coming here a year ago when I needed a place in North Portland to drink a beer shortly after Noon with my family. I have since spent birthdays, afternoons, post bike rides, pre dinners in this space. It's where I grab wine for dinner parties and where I grab mixed six packs for a treat. Everyone who works here is super nice and goes above and beyond, I am super glad to live near this place and recommend it for people who enjoy any kind of libation. They also have canned coffee, seltzer, CBD products, do crowlers, have a nice warm hand washing station (pandemic time plus), and a fun points system. Thanks Mayfly!

Fun, clean place with friendly and helpful staff. This place has a good variety of beers and ciders on tap along with canned and bottled too. Also wine. The barware is Belgium inspired and nice. Just a fun place to hang and do some day drinking . We will be coming back, for sure.

Friendly staff, awesome draft list and bottle selection with amazing prices. Seriously, so many amazing beers, great cider and wine selection too. $1 corkage fee for the cooler selection which is average for beer and fantastic for wine. I don't have a dog but my roommate does, which is why we went. I would return without a pup because who doesn't like great beer and friendly people with puppies?

Such a beautiful space with a great beer selection, a buncha bottles in their bottle shop, and friendly service. There's nothing quite like it in Kenton! We're lucky they decided to occupy the long-empty space at the base of the Northwood. I only wish they allowed kids!
