Portland Bars Mayfly and Parkside Were Burglarized in Kenton Monday Night | Eater Portland

"A recently opened beer bar in Kenton that overlooks the MAX tracks was burglarized before 5 a.m.; I reviewed security footage showing a masked burglar wearing a red earpiece and a yellow jacket prying the front doors open with a crowbar and walking out with two iPads and an empty backpack. Owner Ryan Born said the losses were few, noting the doors locked automatically behind the thief so he only realized what happened after checking video to locate the missing iPads. Mayfly has been open just three weeks and this was the second police report Born filed; he posted images of new security cameras to Facebook and said the most frustrating part is making sure his staff feels safe at closing." - Alex Frane
