"If the top floor of the Grand Hyatt in Pedralbes isn’t where you’d typically go looking for the latest dining hotspot, you’re missing out. Maymanta is substance over style with swoony rooftop views and beautiful people hoping to make it into the society pages. You’ll find all the usual Peruvian suspects including more delicately presented riffs on raw fish than you can count. Dishes like the octopus tiradito or the red tuna ceviche strike the perfect balance of spice and zippy acidity. Still, the one to zero in on is the bite-sized, crunchy corn tortita topped with a creamy shrimp tartare and crispy baby camaroncitos, or tiny deep-fried shrimp. Well! Let me start by saying that this restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and it’s on a rooftop overlooking Barcelona, which makes the experience even more special. The service is fantastic! Jose Alberto and the rest of the staff were amazing from the moment we walked in until the very end. Every recommendation was spot on, we had the Ceviche, Tuna Tartare, Pisco Sour, and Lomo Saltado, and the dessert was simply out of control. The flavors were excellent, with some Peruvian classics and others with a creative twist. Next time we’re in Barcelona, this will be a must! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Amazing food and amazing view! Service was good but our third dish for sharing took too long to come. The plantain starter was our absolute favorite. We had a reservation on a Wednesday for lunch, but it was not full, so without reservation for lunch should be okay.

We had a corporate reservation and they made us wait a long time after already calling us to go sit. Food was really good, but portions were a little bit too much for it to be individual dishes. The dessert was crazy good! Service was ok, nothing extraordinary and it would take them a long time to bring us what we asked for or just to be available.

Lovely place with a panoramic view of the city. It was Friday and I didn't book a table, but they still squeeze me in, which I appreciated. Cocktails are nice. Food is well cooked and nicely presented, though portion could be on the small side for what you pay. Very popular place. Would come back next time I'm in town.

This is truly my favorite place in Barcelona. The view over the entire city is absolutely stunning - it never gets old. I love that the food is available all day long, the atmosphere is cozy, and there’s always a beautiful energy here. During the day, it’s calm and peaceful - perfect for relaxing or enjoying a quiet tea. In the evening, it becomes more lively, sometimes with live music or singing, which only adds to the charm. It feels special every time. It’s the kind of place where you can come for a romantic date, catch up with friends over tea, or even just sit alone and take in the view. I keep coming back, and it always feels just right. 🌟

We had a lovely, relaxed lunch here on our last day in Barcelona before flying home. The dishes were delicious, a little different and beautifully presented. The cocktails were also really nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. We sat outside on the terrace but undercover, so protected from the elements. A nice spot if you’ve got something to celebrate or feel like treating yourself to a fine dining meal
