The coffee and pastries here are honestly nothing out of the ordinary but what truly makes this place special is everything else. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the uniqueness of the building, paired with the charming outdoor garden and stunning views, creates a peaceful and beautiful setting that’s hard to find elsewhere. To top it off, the staff are incredibly bubbly and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. It’s the kind of place you come to not just for the coffee, but for the experience.

Excuse me, how did no one tell me Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop existed? And who looked at all of these trees, herbs, and veggie plants and thought it smart to add caffeine? Genius! I’m a black coffee purist, basic, bold, no fluff, so I can find my fix pretty much anywhere. But what I can’t find is a garden stroll with my morning brew. You gotta go! Grab a cup, wander through the plants, pretend you know the difference between a hydrangea and a hosta (I actually do). But don’t get lost.

Me and my friend went for a coffee date. It was very hot so we couldn't stick around outside and explore the garden shop much but we managed to get some cute pictures! The inside is cute, small. I got a caramel latte but it definitely needed less milk and more espresso bc I could just taste the milk honestly. My friend got a lemonade and it tasted great! Overall, not too bad experience. Thanks!

Google
Such a cozy garden shop! Beautiful indoor and outdoor plants to choose from along with seating areas for enjoying your beverage. Parking is a bit difficult and scarce but worth the visit!! Lots of used trays to pick from too, just ask!

The employees are super nice and the cookies are phenomenal! They were really soft and delicious. As a cookie snob, I will definitely be getting more next time. I also thoroughly enjoyed my sun butter toast this morning-so good and the hand drawn coffee cup design was literally adorable. I loved that they also have compostable plates and actual silverware to cut down on waste. Can't wait to go back!!

Had a wonderful experience at Maypop Greenhouse! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed some delicious coffee and refreshing cold brew, which added a nice touch to our visit. The selection of plants was impressive, and we ended up taking several home. One of the highlights was the self-help section for creating your own terrarium. It was such a fun and creative experience! They provided all the materials and inspiration needed, allowing us to craft something unique and beautiful. Whether you're a seasoned plant enthusiast or a beginner, this hands-on section is a must-try. A special shoutout to the staff—especially the knowledgeable and helpful lady who assisted us. She made sure we found exactly what we needed and shared great advice for plant care. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Maypop Greenhouse to anyone looking for quality plants and a great experience!"

I've tried so many coffee shops in the St. Louis area, but Maypop has been the best so far! The location is very accessible and they also have a parking area! The coffee was amazing (I love Blueprint Coffee!) and I had an awesome gluten free cookie. The decor is so fun and I also love that they have a greenhouse on site where you can purchase plants! I enjoyed walking around here. I plan to return!!

Google
Maypop is absolutely stunning and a perfect spot for morning coffee. The coffee shop itself is lovely, with different areas to sit, which is pretty cool. The outdoor area and greenhouse are very nice, too. While I found the cortado a bit too strong for my taste, the pastries are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
A friend of mine raved about their matcha so I had to check it out! It was worth the drive. I stopped by here after exams. and it was a great way to spend the last day of classes. Would be one of my go-to spots for matcha!

Yelp
Customer service in the back plant place is terrible. I guess I didn't have the right look because I felt so unwelcome. I asked for help and the person working there gave terse one word answers. She had sunglasses on the whole time (indoors) and turned her back on me multiple times while I was trying to ask for help/advice on a plant. Unfortunately I had to come back the next day. I asked nicely if I could please return one of the pots I bought. I had not been given a receipt (didn't realize you had to ask for one to be texted to you). Again the same person was working and seemed visibly annoyed. She told me I was "very lucky" she was able to find my transaction. My advice - life is too short to be treated like garbage. Go to S.C. in Kirkwood. They are a small business with a giant selection of natives and other plants. They are kind, respectful and knowledgeable- a very different vibe from Maypop.

Yelp
Get a cold brew with honey lavender syrup - you'll thank me later. (I'm usually an add a splash of oat milk girlie, but not with this syrup. It's so good - I'm still thinking about it 12 hours later.) The garden center is definitely worth a perusal too. Plant prices are a little steeper than most greenhouses, but it's about the experience. I got a monstera and some other indoor plant that I just love!

Yelp
I always worry about heading to a popular coffee shop on a weekend and being able to fond seating. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of seating inside and outside. Of course the "garden" seating stunning. Plus delicious coffee and fresh baked goods. Also enjoyed the Sunday Farmers Market!

Yelp
Not only is this a garden cafe, they're also currently serving at the Webster groves farmers market so you can drink and shop :) not many cafes I've been to in stl have come close to maypop; this is a staple cafe here and I have always counted on when I have a friend visiting from out of town or someone who is new to the city. You cannot beat the friendliness of the staff, the simplicity of the menu, and the home vibes from inside and out.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday morning for coffee (which was great...iced americano), and was just delighted with the greenhouse, the layout of the coffee shop (check the quiet room upstairs), and the farmers market full of goodies! What a darling place in the middle of a cute neighborhood. My favorite thing- you can DIY your own terrarium in the greenhouse. Can't wait to come back and try that!

Yelp
Match and chai were good! Cutesy little coffee shop with lots of plants in the back! Affordable prices, great ambiance for drinking your latte. If I were a local, I'd be there all of the time!

Yelp
OH MY GOSH THIS PLACE!!! I had some of THE best Garlic Hummus Toast I've ever had!! And my little coffee drink was just as yummy! This place is absolutely enchanting and is the perfect little date spot! The service was awesome, the food and drinks just as much, and the atmosphere was just...*chef's kiss* I can't wait to bring others here! Absolutely will be back!

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE!! I went to meet a friend and her pup for coffee and don't know how I haven't visited sooner!! Our gym is right up the street and omg- so many delish drinks on the menu, coffees and teas, and a couple of food items (hummus toast was sooooo dang good- creamy hummus, fresh sliced cucumbers and tomatoes- with everyone's fav seasoning on top!!!), bakery items, AND sugarwitch ice cream sammie's!! The cafe has wifi and even a quiet reading room upstairs! The staff is so welcoming and so is this environment. I love that you can ALSO buy plants in the back- we love one stop shopping and dog-friendly patios!

Yelp
my friend brought me here and i wanted to like it but they wouldn't let her use her gift card because of a "new system" which i thought was weird. hopefully they fix it and she can use it. the garden area was really cute

Yelp
Stopped by Maypop after hearing great things, and it lived up to the hype for coffee and plant lovers! The attached greenhouse added a cozy, unique touch to the experience. I went with a London Fog and snagged the last focaccia--though I was a little bummed to miss out on the last everything bagel (stuffed with cream cheese). Thankfully, I wasn't alone and got to try both! The staff was friendly and offered great menu recommendations. A delightful spot overall, though I'll definitely need to come back earlier to grab that bagel next time!

Yelp
Plants and coffee in one shop, what more could you ask for?! Maypop has plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor, great selection of baked goods and phenomenal drinks. The plant shop is around back and great to walk through with your coffee.

Yelp
Popped into Maypop yesterday after a meeting, and I didn't even realize it was the first day of spring! Such a perfect spot to celebrate that, ontop of supporting an amazing women-owned business during Women's History Month. Parking is tight here, but they have street parking on Summit as well as a small parking lot to the right hand side. I entered in the back which lead me right to the coffee bar. This spot is in an old house which makes it SO charming. I ordered hot latte with sugar free vanilla. I sat outside in the front in the sunshine and got some work done- solid WiFi outside! Afterwards I headed into the greenhouse and purchased a small plant. I kill anything green I bring into my home, but after a convo with the staff member working, I figured out how to give it a little TLC and hopefully keep it alive! Maypop is always a good idea :)

Yelp
This shop has not only sweet chai lattes but the most beautiful garden of all time. Getting to walk around after receiving my drink was a highlight. It was a nice day out so a chai warmed me up nicely and added to the autumn vibe. I'll have to bring some friends to experience the green house. This umps the coffee standard and was a quiet place to get some stuff done. Overall very pleased with how it went and how quickly everything came out!

Yelp
Super yummy! Loved the scones!! The drinks and service were great, too. Definitely added to my list of favorite coffee shops! The garden area was larger than expected with a wide variety of plants, very well maintained! Don't miss this one. It's a gem!!

Yelp
what a one of a kind place! you're greeted with extremely friendly staff, who informed us on some of the local and on sight events they were having. the garden itself is so cozy, and there's lots of random seating. the coffee shop portion was small, intimate, and felt like being in a friends house. standard coffee selection, and they offer flavor of the month! i'd come back for the ambiance and with friends. the coffee wasn't bad at all, but the experience was heightened with cool plants, a nice atmosphere, and sweet staff.

Yelp
Today I visited Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop, and I had a great time! The overall concept of this business is very unique and makes for a great experience. I started my visit by grabbing a caramel latte with oat milk. The latte was solid. The caramel notes were not forward, but I did appreciate that it was not too sweet. The service while getting the coffee was average. The coffee came out quick, but the staff was not overly friendly. In terms of the ambiance, the interior of the coffee shop has tables to sit at, plants filling the space, and even a mural on one of the walls. Some patrons were there studying, and I can see myself coming back to do the same because it's a quaint and quiet space. My experience in the garden shop was incredible. I spent my time making two DIY terrariums. What a creative concept! You choose your glassware, a plant, and follow the instructions provided. I also asked the person working to give me some advice. She was very kind and very willing to help if I had any questions. They have an assortment of rocks to use, both to create a base and to top the terrarium. Moreover, there are seashells and little animals to place on top of your finished product. The price I believe is fair. There's an overall flat rate of $7.99, and you also pay for the glassware and the plant you pick out. Both my terrariums came out to be about $25, each with one plant. Overall, the garden area was gorgeous! There was a wide variety of plants, pots, and gardening tools. This is a great place to visit on a sunny day with friends and family. I highly recommend making your own terrarium if you go. In terms of the café, the coffee was good, but nothing about the experience blew me away. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Maypop and plan to bring my friends the next time I visit!

Yelp
Cute place located in an older house structure. The vanilla latte was quite good, you could even see little black specks of vanilla, so you know it's not the artificial syrup coffee shops often use. The space is a little small so on a weekend expect noise around you. But otherwise very cozy, nice vibes!
google avatar

Yelp
located in a vintage house (so so so cute). lots of different seating options. i ended up in the greenhouse the wifi works out there as well. their menu was a decent size! lots of baked goods to offer. they also have fridges and freezers of various snacks! i got an iced vanilla latte and it did not disappoint. it was $6.15 which i feel like is very reasonable priced for a local coffee shop very large selection of plants and pots. they also have street parking and a parking lot!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was so cute!! Definitely will be back when it gets warmer to buy plants for my garden!

Yelp
This place is so cozy. I only wish they had big overstuffed, comfy, chairs - I would hang out all day and eat gluten free scones and iced coffee... but I am guessing there is a method to that design from a business perspective. Yes, you can buy the plants here. They have a full-on greenhouse with so many gorgeous plants - they have some indoors as well. The fact that there are gluten-free bakery items (I believe these are from Britt's bakehouse) was a huge deal to me... as a Celiac I basically never have gluten-free baked goods and anything else in the same place; I generally have to go to two different places if I want something like that which is quite annoying. I love that this place is a renovated historic home in WG and that there are neighbors right nearby and overflow parking in the park immediately adjacent to the shop so as to not bother the neighbors by parking up their homes. For a 16oz iced coffee and a gluten free cinnamon scone I paid $11.80 before tip. Not too bad. The iced coffee was good - very mild, not too sweet - which is how I like it. As a WG resident I love that this place is here! I hope for more development of the small businesses nearby to this place to make this a walkable micro neighborhood for shops and coffee etc.

Yelp
This place is super cute! The combination of the nursery/garden and the coffee shop is the perfect place for me as a self proclaimed plant girly. I had the hibiscus iced tea which was super refreshing but I would like to try their coffee next time. This seems like a good place for working but with limited seating because the coffeeshop itself is small which is my only gripe. Will definitely be coming back to this location!
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
In town for work. I needed a break between seeing customers and stopped for a coffee. What I got was so much more. Wandering the garden soothed my busy mind. I will make a point of stopping when I am in town again.

Yelp
A little hidden gem in Webster Groves. The best coffee shop with a nice ambiance to go with it. I love stopping here as the service is always quick and friendly. Their greenhouse is incredible, too. I came here for a pop up event they had and quickly became a regular customer. Love their iced lattes!
google avatar

Melba M.

Yelp
This place is a gem! And the s'mores latte was so good!! I asked for half the sweetness and it was perfect for me. The house made chai syrup was also really good. Can't wait to go back
google avatar

Quyen H.

Yelp
I absolutely love this nursery. They have very beautiful monstera, Birkin and ton of succulents . I think the price here is very good compared to other nurseries. I usually came here during spring time to find rare plants. And of course grabbed a latte. I also love the people working here. They are very sweet and helpful. Parking can be tricky since they have a small parking lot. I recommend to come here early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
google avatar

Yelp
Whether in the summer or the winter, I've greatly enjoyed my time at Maypop's Cafe and Garden Shop. It stays beautiful year-round. Their treats and drinks are also incredible! I get the cold brew with caramel syrup and almond milk, and a chocolate chip cookie for my partner:) This place was recommended to me and I can't thank that friend enough!

Yelp
Beautiful old house? Check. Delicious coffee and baked goods? Check. Huge greenhouse and variety of plants? Check. My wife and I went this morning and had a great time. The house is beautiful, the coffee well made and the plants are great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We spent time in the greenhouse talking with a couple of the ladies out there and can't wait to come back! There's a table in the greenhouse, so next time we go, we will be sure to drink our coffee out there.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved!! Just went for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was great, but the best part is the plants. I could've spent so long just looking at every plant. So excited to go back!

Yelp
I had the desire to visit this quaint little shop for years but wanted to have my first experience at the right time, with the perfect person. My wish came true ironically enough in May, and with my son's girlfriend. We are May babies! We both enjoy coffee and tea occasionally and have found joy and peace in indoor gardening. Since Maypop provides the best of both worlds I treated her for her birthday and we had an amazing time. Our journey began with a very simple yet delicious brunch that included toast with a basil pesto spread and topped with halved medley tomatoes that were displayed as a flower, toast with Sun butter and berries then drizzled with honey. I had a vanilla and caramel iced coffee that was sweetened with honey, which I greatly appreciated since I was not in a "sugary" mood. While we waited for our order we walked into the back room where we noticed the dog board that hosted mini Polaroid pictures of dogs that have accompanied their loved ones. What a cute idea!! They even had collars and leashes for sale. Once we got our food and drink we found the perfect spot to consume our brunch took in the front of the "dining" room, at the bar. We took in the beautiful view of the front yard of the old house turned coffee shop/ nursery and had a nice discussion about what we enjoyed in that moment. Maypop was definitely popping but the capacity did not affect our experience one bit. There is seating both inside and outside and in so many different forms. Maypop gives a very warm and cozy welcome from single people to groups, making studying and working a treat. We then ventured outdoors and toured the nursery where we found so many varieties of plant life, which is what my son's girlfriend thrives off of the most. I myself prefer flowers, which were also in an array of colors, shapes and sizes. Our walk through the nursery led to more great topics of conversation. Once we entered the greenhouse we knew that we were in the right place for us. Two of my favorite spots were the corner that is designated to pet friendly plants and the cactus corner. Although I did not purchase anything from those sections, I did take advantage of the opportunity to find pots that are perfect for my herbs. The birthday girl also chose a planter and a plant for it. All in all I can say that we were in awe of the beautiful flowers and plants, along with the necessities to help them continue to grow and be healthy. It was a rather hot day but the staff did not seem bothered. In fact, they were much more personable than I would have been had I been working in the heat. Kudos to all of the staff both inside and out for helping give one of the best birthday gifts that my girl has had!! As we were walking to the car she said "Thank you so much Ang. I have been here one time but did not get anything because I was kind of rushed. I appreciate so much that you brought me here and also enjoyed yourself." That's huge!
google avatar

Ali L.

Yelp
I love this cafe! It is located in an old house and feels like something out a cozy book. My go to order is usually a latte and I always enjoy it. They also have a greenhouse where they host events, you can buy plants, and go to classes! The baristas are also kind and lovely people.
google avatar

Drew B.

Yelp
Very cute shop and they had amazing coffee! Got the pumpkin pie seasonal latte and the honey lavender latte and they were both incredible. Definitely a great place to hang out and caffinate. Also, the staff was amazing! Haley took great care of us.

Yelp
If you love plants and a good cup of coffee this is the place for you! I had visited Maypop during peak COVID and loved grabbing a coffee from their window, but I'm so happy their inside area is now open! They have a cute little cafe with seating inside, out front, and even a couple of tables in the greenhouse. This morning we grabbed some treats from the counter, and I love that they use food from other local St. Louis shops! I always get my coffee in a to-go cup so I can wander around the outside area and look at all of the plants. Every type of coffee I've tried here has been delicious. Today I got a vanilla latte with oat milk - perfect hint of sweet without being over the top. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a huge variety of plants. I never leave here empty handed - today I brought home some basil for my garden.

Yelp
This review is a TWO-FER, because Maypop is not just a garden center where you will find something beautiful for your home, it's also a coffeeshop with a great menu! First, the garden shop. I go at least once a month because I am a member of their monthly subscription service. For a monthly fee, you receive a beautiful, mature plant and care card; a treat from a local business and a surprise! I am not much of a houseplant person. In fact, before I joined Maypop's subscription box, I would have said I had a black thumb. But having a healthy, mature plant and care instructions seems to have made all the difference and I'm now a proud plant mama with a normal thumb. There is something so satisfying about visiting this charming local treasure. You will find beautiful plants and someone to advise you how to plant and maintain them. I even reached out on Instagram to ask about sweet woodruff and quickly received a detailed reply. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and really seem to enjoy their job. Service like this makes all the difference and really encourages you to reach beyond what you thought you could do. Now, to the cafe! I always hit the cafe. They have a surprisingly large selection of treats and drinks, considering the size of the space they have in which to work. They have a small, seasonal selection of toasts which are always delightful. This time, I got the Sun Toast because, well, how can you not? Sunflower seed butter topped with strawberries and blueberries, drizzled with honey and a touch of mint. Don't skip the mint - trust me, it's the burst of herb you didn't know you needed on this dish. It's like a grownup PB&J. Very satisfying and not too heavy on a warm day. They've partnered with SweetArt to provide a selection of vegan treats that are very popular. I usually get a latte or, now that it's getting to warmer days, I absolutely love their iced teas. The really great thing about Maypop is how integrated their offerings are with other local businesses. Their success is also the success of other small business owners as they feature their goods and cross promote. Several times a year, they host local crafters in their parking lot. It's always a good day to visit Maypop!

Yelp
I found the perfect cafe - cozy, welcoming, and excellent coffee. My cappuccino was delicious. Although the berry scone was just ok, I am volunteering as tribute to try different parties and report back.

Yelp
This place is so cute and cozy! Went with my fiancé and we got the turmeric latte and a regular latte. I got mine iced but I think it would have tasted a bit better hot so the turmeric could have melted with the milk a bit more but still overall really good. His latte was also really good. We split a curry chickpea pastry that was actually sooo good!! Overall love the vibes of this place and also the plant shop attached to it is the cutest!
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
Maypop is such a unique little spot for an afternoon tea, study/work space, and catch up with friends. You're able to sip on a latte while shop around for a new succulent friend! The staff here is so friendly and personable. I also loved their gluten free and dairy free options. Their gluten free scone is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. And their oat milk was foamed perfectly for the rich chai latte. Go for the drinks and stay for the vibes!

Kyra B.

Yelp
Such an adorable spot! I have been wanting to grab coffee here for a long time now and I was not disappointed. The espresso was a lovely flavor and the honey lavender latte was delicious(I did get mine with less honey as a friend had told me it was on the sweet side). Despite being completely full inside I was able to order quickly and my coffee was delivered fast! The one down side is that with it being winter/indoor seating only and a small space, seating was pretty limited. That being said, I was able to find a seat right away and even shared my table with some others who needed a spot to sit. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Great little spot, took the fiancé for coffee and plant shopping, she loved it! Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This is such a great find! Who doesn't love a cozy coffee shop? Pair that with a garden center with awesome plants... sign me up every time I visit STL. They have indoor and outdoor seating, depending on what you're looking for. Their drink selections were plentiful and the Mexican mocha iced coffee I had was so good! As for the garden shop, they had an awesome assortment of plants at reasonable prices. I can't wait to keep checking them out.

May G.

Yelp
This is a really cool place. They kept all the charm of the building. My mocha was delicious and the customer service was excellent. I can't wait to go back in the spring.

Yelp
Most adorable little coffee shop! Beautiful interiors and great coffee. Loved the greenhouse and being able to grab my coffee and walk around here! Counting down the days till I can come back

Yelp
10 out of 10 Great place & people, been coming here for awhile now and can always count on having the best chai around and being greeted with a warm welcome plus it's one of the few coffee places I've found in stl that has some vegan bakery items and of course being able to purchase your plants here makes it extra special !
google avatar

Yelp
Great little coffee shop and flower shop all in one staff is friendly and coffee was amazing I recommend them for a day date or family time it really puts you in a great mood looking at the beautiful flowers while enjoying a great cup of coffee

Yelp
Just what the doctor ordered...an amazing nursery with option for coffee! Yay, this is a haven for green thumbs and plain ole plant lovers like myself. Edible plants, herbs, ferns, succulents, hanging, standing, floating, terrarium, clay pots of all sizes, plant food, stickers and pleasant/knowledgeable service. Oh, and I loved the playlist; total vibe. Parking available on their small lot; slow down or you'll miss the turn. Masks must be worn inside. I cannot wait to go back, this place made my soul smile. ~Christy

Yelp
Lovely location set amongst a vibrant plant nursery. Walk into a stately old home in Webster to experience some of the best coffee in the area. I recommend getting a latte in their real dishes, finding a place on the patio in sun and enjoying the surroundings. I also had a dark chocolate toffee hazelnut cookie that was just a delight. There is also a wide variety of plants and pottery available for purchase or window shopping.

Christina M.

Yelp
Adorable place for coffee. Great atmosphere, yummy coffee, and nice people. Plus, you get to shop in the beautiful gardens while sipping coffee.
