Mazzy's Sports Bar & Grill (Roswell)

Mazzy's is a great sports bar. I took my son for wings, fries, and to play a few games of pool. The bar is big, and there are televisions everywhere you look. This would be a great play to watch a game! It looks clean and recently updated. Our food was good and the atmosphere was a true sports bar. Our server LIZ R was excellent, polite, and professional. I'll definitely bring my son back for another lunch.

I love this place. I'm from Texas and I was missing playing pool and having good food at night. This place made me feel at home! It's not super expensive 50-100 is my average spend because I enjoy myself! The staff is on point!

Had my birthday party there today. The planning, execution, attention to everything and everyone was amazing for 30+ people. Everyone had a blast playing pool and throwing darts. The buffet they arranged was delicious (wings and sliders). It's the PERFECT location for your event because they thought of everything so I could just enjoy hanging with my friends. Thank you Mazzy's for making 60 a great start to a new decade!

Pretty cool experience. Server was friendly and attentive. Wasn’t too busy. This would be a fun place to come play pool, grab a drink, hang out with a group, etc but I wouldn’t come here just for the food. The food wasn’t bad at all but it didn’t wow us much. The nachos were a huge portion but the chicken Alfredo was not. The mozzarella sticks were kind of bland. This place does allow smoking so be aware. Overall, a pretty cool place!

Ordered pot roast Togo and I had to come in and find my order on an empty dirty table. Once I opened it once I got home they had my pot roast on a piece of paper. Everytime I went to take a bite I would get a piece of white paper on my fork along with my roast. Who thought it was a great ideal to serve pot roast on a piece of paper? I couldn’t eat my meal! 😡

Has to be best value for an authentic, medium hamburger in a large radius. Delicious burger and fries, the old fashioned, for TEN BUCKS!!!

I had an amazing time tonight at this location. Gustavo M. And Isabel P. Took great care of me and my friends and they are my permanent people to look for. This place is 7 minutes from my house and they are the reason this is my go to place. THANK YALL

I went during lunch hour. I didn't want any particular meal on the menu yet had a specific craving. The waitress was willing to make a request to the kitchen to accommodate what I was craving, and I was totally satisfied with my meal! Great service and a good place to shoot pool and many tables available to play on as well as darts as an alternative.

Recently moved from MI. My husband and I have been here 3 times now. The food is amazing! If I've ever had a better burger, I simply can't remember. My husband loved their beef pot roast so much, he's ordered it each time we've gone. The prices are low, and the portions and quality 5 star. We will be regular customers here!

About a month or so I wrote a 0 star review for horrible service. I'm used to the service being slow at times, but on this visit I felt invisible...after a couple attempts to get service, I left. Fast forward... I was missing that cheesesteak sandwich ( and they fry a mean fish). I decided to go back. I'm glad I did. Service was excellent as was my cheesesteak sandwich. Now that it's non smoking I may start frequenting Mazzy's again

Walked in and got hit with the intense cigarette smoke and walked out. I'm shocked restaurants/bars still allow smoke. That explains why it was half empty on a Saturday night with college football going on.

If you are looking for the best chicken fingers. Look no further you will find them here at Mazzy's. A great time as well.

Too much smoke and I can't take it anymore. Love the convenient location with good pool tables. Bar food as expected with wide diner type options. We'll have to drive further to the Alpharetta location where it's non smoking. However there it's too many children running through the bar pool table area!?!?? Waiting on the perfect fit.

Nice chill vibe. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Not sure what the atmosphere is like during peak hours. Service and food is good. I would recommend.

The idea was to play pool and grab a quick bite. Well! Mission accomplished! Went to Mazzy's on Monday at 6pm. The place was not busy, few people sitting at the bar and a couple playing pool. Got dinner served right where we were playing on a high top. The food was ok just slightly salty for our taste; we had 2 beers, a Cheeseburger, a Philly Cheese and a Quesadilla to go for our daughter. Our waitress Trista was extremely nice and professional. Negative factor: This is a SMOKING place so plan to bring the cigarette smell into your car and house.

The manager Embarrassed me in front of full bar Demanding that I show paperwork For my registered service dog..(who was in full service vest.). I offered her a out before she violated my rights and she said She needed to see so I called the agency and they emailed me paperwork and personal I .D. But at that point the total Embarrassment from everybody wondering what my disability was was all threw the Bar. According to the A D A 1999 statute (Americas Disability Act )A person does not have to state there disability. Maybe they should have sign on door stating only Normal people will not be displayed. Will never step in that place again. No service animals allowed with out being Exposed. Pathetic Friday nite. .

This is your normal friendly neighborhood bar. You can find usuals here on any given night having a drink, shooting pool or having a bite to eat. The drinks are up to par for sure. These bartenders know what they're doing. Get the Long Island! The food is really good for a bar. Some of my favorites are the chicken tenders, the empanadas, and the fried chicken pasta made Cajun!

This place is a dive. Nothing special, but not so bad. Far from upscale. It's the kind of place where you can go and just chill when you want to get out of the house but don't want to do too much. The times that I've gone, there's plenty of room if you want to distance yourself from other patrons. But there are people sitting all around the bar not distancing at all. The staff wear mask but of course customers are not required. This place allows INDOOR SMOKING. Yep, all caps needed. If you don't like the smell of smoke, this is not the place for you. This is our spot when we want to get out and watch a game. Going for sports, drinks and a little food. We keep it pretty basic for drinks when we come so I can't speak on specialty drinks. Loaded nachos are my go to. The chicken that's on it lacks flavor but it's filling and overall decent. Their wings are pretty good as well. Spicy fried cauliflower bites! This are surprisingly very good! Awesome flavor and texture is on point. Three stars for this review is not based on indoor smoking being allowed. As smoky as this place is, it hasn't prevented me from frequenting your establishment multiple times. We have been to Mazzy's Sports Tavern in Alpharetta and loved it. My son (13) wanted the chicken tenders, so we decided to try this location. It's not the same at all! This location allows smoking and thus does not allow patrons under 18, although the age restriction is not posted. We walked in, and I assumed there was a well ventilated smoking section. Nope... It really smelled like smoke. We sat in the least smoky section and waited about 8 minutes before a server walked over and said my son was not allowed to be there. If you're looking for a smoky bar, my guess is that the food here is similar to the Alpharetta location, but the service and atmosphere were a bust for us. If they are going to capitalize on the Mazzy name and reputation from other locations, they should be consistent or at least add signage.

Bartender ignores people. Except for Bob. No personality. Looks cool though! Bottle opener in wristband. Really doesn't look cool though. Last time I was in there was exactly 1 year ago. Did the same thing by ignoring you. Unless your Bob. The girl bartender was very nice and attentive.

Mazzy's has 5-star beautiful waitresses and service , I loved their wings and the 9-foot pools tables were excellent to shoot on, it's just that I'm a non-smoker and this is a smoking-permitted bar. I heard their Milton and Norcross bars are non-smoking and I'll shoot at one of those locations next time. I wish they could update their listings on Google and their website to let you know up front which locations are non-smoking and which ones are smoking-permitted.

Awesome hangout after work. Lots of pool tables and great service. Robin is incredible and the manager, Larry is super friendly. This is our first stop after a long day and should be yours too.

chasity was great!! our food was very fast and so fast, the service was great! she didn't hover and was attentive. it was a bit loud but it was 1 am and it's a sports bar so it was to be expected. didn't bother us at all though. 10/10 would recommend!

I'm positive the brisket sandwich was pot roast. Definitely not brisket. It still tasted decent but that's a red flag for a restaurant in terms of integrity of their food.

Mazzy's is one of those places that has been around a while, which is good- because I know something must be going on right! Right in the middle of an aging shopping center near Hwy 9 and Mansell, this place is great to go to after work (for me, thats around 1030-11AM). I just don't do it like I used to. You walk in and its a huge square- the left side is all pool tables, the front part is the bar and dining area, and the back has a few more tables, restrooms, and DARTS!!!! Why get so excited about darts? Where else have you seen 8 dart boards in an establishment (I am sure they exsist, let me know where!)- and even has a league for them! There are lots of tv's, plenty of bar space, and note there is smoking- but it is a high ceiling so it's not as stuffy as say, The Clermont Lounge. They have a full bar menu, and the drinks are pretty decent priced (cheaper to TMac, a place I usually drink to up my alcoholism status). You would have to out lush my buddies if you wanted to rack a $100 tab- or just buy rounds for the bar. The crowd seems to be fairly mixed too, depending on the time of day (during lunch, it's usually businessmen, but a mix into the evening) I like the bartenders because they are friendly and if you give them a drink recipe- they are willing to try to make it- one thing I have had mixed success at other places. If you want a local watering hole in Roswell, check it out.

There are no precautions about Covid the servers are rude and the drinks are more juice than liquor. Food is basic and standard would recommend other bars over mazzys

This is a decent bar - plenty of pool tables, tvs, and drink specials. And they still allow inside smoking which is a plus for many as these establishments slowly disappear. There's an arcade corner that has Big Buck Hunter, a pinball machine and two Golden Tee games. Kylie is the best bartender so be sure to ask for her!

UPDATE REVIEW: 1/6/2018 We are back being regular costumers at Mazzys (Roswell Location). Thanks to new manager, Rivers, our voice was heard and old management was fired and new Servers hired. The music is definitely lower now, and service is back being near perfect. We're now able to hear each other while taking and enjoying great atmosphere for a great Sports Bar in the area. We even moved about 12 miles away, but still drive there once every weekend to enjoy Bar. I really want to thank Rivers for not only reading review, but doing something about it. He REALLY paid attention to us and many others and took action. That's what a real Manager does. Mazzys is back being one of our fave Sports Bar! For many that doesn't know Mazzys? Their wings are THE BEST in the MILTON area, and prices are excellent too. Servers are always polite and efficient.

So, I was waiting for my friends to go to an event later on in the day when I stumbled at Mazzy's on my search results. I didn't know what for expect so I went it with no expectations. The venue is nice and large, with an option to play games and pool. The service was also very friendly. I found my bartender constantly asking me if everything was okay. They were really friendly. Price-wise, everything was affordable for a restaurant. I ordered a black bean burger with a side of pasta and it was really good. My only complaint was that it was a smoke type of venue which I didn't know. Other than that I really enjoyed my time at Mazzy's.

Been awhile since I have visited Mazzy's. We had their buffalo dip and split a Cajun chicken pasta! Both were very good. Manager streams, lakes, Rivers was very funny and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Liz was our bartender and did a great job. We will back again soon! Thanks guys, Trey & Alli

I had just gotten off work for the 49ers and Browns game... went home and got my Browns jersey on along with my girl! My co worker and I had planned to join your establishment as he is a die hard 49ers fan... BOTH OF OUR TABS were less than $50 INCLUDING FOOD (your pulled pork quesadilla is amazing by the way lol) as we were having fun! We as a 4 top were at $100 before halftime combined INCLUDING FOOD and at the start up of the 3rd quarter we were given waters and cut off! :) thanks... no thank Since it won't let me comment anymore "Jason B", your staff cut us off flat out when we got off work because we were rooting for our teams. I'm newish to Atlanta as I moved here a couple years ago, I bartender in Vegas the last 15 years, I can assure you that you get absolutely ZERO recommendations because your staff is flat out not trained right! Read your guest, don't respond blindly!

I went for late lunch one day. Very, Very light lunch crowd. In fact, one other person at bar. Maybe 4-5 people in restaurant. I walked in and sat at the bar, and the bartender was speaking to another customer. She did not even acknowledge me. I waited nearly 5 minutes before she decided to come down and ask me what I wanted. I joked that I was not sure she saw me...she said that she had. Essentially, the message I got from that was, " yea I saw you but I'll come down to greet and take your order when I am good and ready." Ordered a drink which she let sit on the bar for several minutes. Finally, I got up and started walking out to which she said, " I have your drink". I told her no thanks. Not going back. They need business. It might help to be nice and appreciated the customers that visit.

Nasty smoke. Had a sore throat within 5 minutes just being in the place. Should have read the reviews!

Hell on earth. Bad drinks, lots of smoke, mediocre food. Some people love that though Can we add that management responds back telling people "sorry you didn't realize it was 100% smoking" as though they can't do something to at least improve the air quality?! Is there proper ventilation? are there air purifiers? Don't blame ME for wanting to do business with you and then rating my experience appropriately. ‍

Kylie is amazing. We come to play darts with her during the tournaments and she does an amazing job every time. She's so attentive and kind and she has awesome hair. I love her

i like it here. wish it were smoke free most times because it gets like a chimney. don't plan to walk out without reeking of it. the food is decent but fairly fixed and doesn't offer many options for vegetarian meals. the staff is great though. their tables are maintained well. i've attended and hosted events out of mazzy's. lee is excellent to work with and extremely accommodating. if you're looking for a location for to have an event, mazzy's staff will go out of their way to make you happy. my suggestions: . order the MOAB (mother of all burgers) if you're in the mood. it's pretty good. . always, always, always ask for mallory. she's awesome.

We sought out Mazzy's because we were looking for a good burger.... we will never know. When we opened the door and we were hit with the stench of cigarette smoke! All 3 of us just turned around and walked out. Gag! I didn't even know that was legal!

This place is gross. Only had takeout, but it's dirty inside and my turkey burger was completely raw on the inside. Disgusting. No idea how this place stays opened.

Love this bar! Always fast service, the waiters are really nice, food and beer is inexpensive, multiple games on, and several pool tables open to play!!!

I'm not sure if there has been new management over the last few months, but I have now made Mazzy's my go-to for an after work drink. The bartenders are always friendly and sweet, as well as Chris the manager. I'm in LOVE with their wings and chicken/broccoli rice bake.

This is a nice place to hangout with friends ,a 2nd date or to shoot some pool with a buddy. Not to mention that the Burger's are amazing.But something I do recommend you to do if you want to have a few cold was DO NOT DRIVE!!! ROSWELL PD IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND WILL GET YOU. I called my cousin to pick me up because I went a little over board with my drinking but unfortunately he was on a date that night so I went ahead and ordered a LYFT and guess what. The driver was freaking amazing!!!! He helped me in the car and even helped to my front door.Never in a million years I would expect this kind of service from a ride share company. Why didn't anyone tell me they have good food with great prices? I've been avoiding this place solely for the reputation of bad bar food. I visited this place early on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised! The hubster and I visited this place with another couple for a quick bite and a drink. We sat ourselves at a high top surrounding the bar with views of the Braves games (of course!). Our server greeted up promptly and got our drink orders. We ordered the bacon-wrapped jalapenos appetizer to start off with. I ordered the shrimp pasta cajun style and he ordered the double burger with a fried egg. The bacon-wrapped jalapenos weren't what I was expecting. When I order this dish at other places it usually involves small jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and deep fried. This was served with a whole jalapenos injected with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and fried. The jalapenos wasn't pickled either. It was fresh and had serious heat. So much heat that I gave up and basically just ate bacon-wrapped cream cheese. My shrimp pasta was great! I ordered it with Cajun seasoning and it definitely added some heat. Served with about half a dozen shrimp, the pasta was much better than expected. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had a great pasta to sauce ratio. And it was served with two slices of toasted French bread. It was so good that I ended up eating it all in one sitting. My husband's burger was great as well. Instead of a fried egg though they broiled it. Still had great flavor, however. Beef, bacon, cheese and an egg. You can't go wrong with that. He had textbook fries that went well with the burger. Overall, a really good meal. Our server kept bringing us more water and kept our drinks refilled. Whenever our beers got low, she made sure it was topped off. When the bill came, we were more than pleased with the price! Had we known this place has quality food without breaking the bank, we would have come a lot sooner. I'll be back to try the pot roast!

Great sports bar. As a smoker (yeah I know all you haters) I love that I don't have to feel like I have the plague in order to smoke. Bartenders are great!! Atmosphere is great also. I highly recommend this bar

Mazzy's is a fairly large and completely unremarkable sports bar near the intersection of Hwy 9 and Holcomb Bridge in Roswell. I've visited this location sporadically over the past several years to watch football games featuring my favorite teams when they aren't available on basic cable. For that purpose, Mazzy's meets the need. It's a smoking bar but cigars are not welcome. I wasn't aware of this last time I stopped in, so I lit up my stogie during halftime. Fortunately the manager was pretty cool about it. He did stop by to lay down the no-cigar policy for me and told me I'd have to snuff it out if anyone complained. I guess nobody did, because I was left in peace to puff away for the rest of the game. The beer list is unremarkable (there's that word again!), but adequate and reasonably priced. There's a lot of domestics on there. A few local craft options. The food menu is typical sports bar grub. Lots of deep fried options, pizza, nachos, etc. There are also some healthy options like salads and grilled fish, although I've never tried any of those dishes so I can't vouch for their quality. Service has always been friendly and I've never gone thirsty for too long, even when the place is packed. It tends to get pretty raucous during Falcons games, but isn't that what you want from a place like this? Plenty of local fans make this their game day destination. There's a huge area cordoned off for games like pool and darts. Throughout the space there are numerous large screens of varying quality for sports viewing, and I've never been stuck in a spot where I couldn't easily follow my game of choice. Would I hang out at Mazzy's if I weren't there to watch my favorite football team(s)? Not a chance. It's a dark, smokey sports bar. But there are far worse places to catch a game.

Mazzy's is a throwback to dive bars of the 80s. Extremely large bar area with plenty of televisions, pool tables as far as the eye can see down the left side of the bar, and darts in the back. Smoking is allowed inside and it's the latest opening establishment in the Roswell area as far as alcohol is concerned. A lot of the service staff from restaurants come here to drink after work. It's a dive bar. They serve typical bar food and cheap alcohol. Plenty of tv's for watching the game and a dedicated set of regulars. It's what bars used to be before they became glamorized dating clubs and where you went to see and be seen. It's a bar, a real old fashioned bar where they know how to make hard shots and serve pitchers of beer. You'll reek of smoke when you leave and wont break the bank. It's a bar.

This place is a dump. The smoke was so heavy in the room I could hardly breath. It was VERY hot and the music wa just straight out of hell and way too loud. The clients there were more along the rough and rowdy side. The staff was virtually non-existent. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great sports bar. Doesn't look like much from the street but actually pretty big inside. They have pool tables, darts, large screens for the games, food is pretty good and think they do poker on certain nights of the week as well. Only downfall is its a smokers bar so would wear your best as your clothes will need to head straight to the washing machine when you get home.

When I used to work down the street from this joint, this was the place to be. You can play pool, throw darts, drink alcoholic beverages, and even eat food here, if you dare to. The fries are sort of good? The food is standard pub fare, but it's fun to beat your friends at a round of pool or darts when you have no idea what you are doing. It always makes me feel better about being a brit-pop/indie kid when I somehow kill a frat boy at their own game! It's better to go there with a large group of friends, otherwise you feel weird trying to ask if you can be a part of someone's reindeer games. Yeah, random serial killer-looking guys have asked to play darts with us, we let them because they are scary and might dart us in the back if we say no. This place is definitely the only spot I would go to for pool and darts if I was subjected to do those things again! Dang suburbia!

Lights out F-U-N. Great (HOT) flight attendants. Good music. When sports are playing, pick one of 30 TVs to watch anything. All flat screens or great resolution LCDs. Food is phenomenal.

A group of us women go there every Fri night to shoot pool. All the wait staff there knows us by now. Tonight was the second night someone puked in the girls bathroom. Poor girl tonight got sick all over the bathroom floor and threw up for over an hour! She could not move off the toilet she was so sick so I finally stepped in and called for help. the paramedics came and it took them almost an hour to get her out of the bathroom. . When hey led her out the back door, thry passed right by our table left the back door open--you guessed it--the lovely stench of the dumpsters there came whisping in across our table. One of the paramedics almost got nailed in the head with a dart as he crossed through! Anyway, after about 2 hours of our time helping the woman, routing their customers into the mens room so the paramedics could help the girl, and then people trapsing in and out past the stinky back door, we had our table back. We asked the owners if they would waive the cost of our table in exchange for us helping their customers that we did not even know. He said no. Surprised? We were! Then with a regretful attitude, he agreed to waive 1/2. $15 measly dollars for all that. I explained that it was intersting he felt our repeat business was only woth $15 dollars and that it would not justify us ever coming back. There are just too many other pool halls in town that surely appreicate their customers going out of their way to help! So no chance we will be going back into that place only to leave everytime reaking like an ash tray! Too bad...we will miss the wait staff and great music.
