Best quality. I trust these guys. There is no other butcher or fishmonger that compares in LA. Some cuts and CPG are on the pricier side, but the chicken, sausages, house burger blend are the same price as a Whole Foods with much superior quality. You can make this place weeknight at $12-15/lb or bespoke with an epic rack of lamb at $60/lb. Moreover, for someone who loves to cook, McCalls gives me genuine joy!

McCall’s has a great selection and it’s always convenient to pop in for a bottle of wine or something quick for dinner. We’ve enjoyed shopping here over the years and appreciate having it in the neighborhood. That said, it’s getting uncomfortable to be prompted for a tip on every single transaction — even when simply purchasing a bottle of wine at the counter. Being handed the payment device with an expectation to tip for a basic retail purchase feels misplaced and awkward. Tipping has its place, but applying it to standard over-the-counter sales risks frustrating loyal customers. I hope management takes a thoughtful look at this approach, because many of us genuinely want to continue supporting the business without feeling pressured at checkout.

The best little, grand neighborhood butcher-grocer around. They are my go to butcher and they have numerous delicious spreads and pre-prepared foods. And their staff is friendly, helpful and expedient. And a little bonus is i can bring my four-legged friend while on break from work, I am eternally grateful as it allows me to hit multiple birds with one stone!

I've been a loyal McCall's customer for several years and can't speak more highly of this local specialty foods & butcher shop. Top notch steak, lamb, seafood, and an excellent spread of specialty goods (i.e. spices, yogurts, cheeses, etc.).

Great butcher! Also love their smoked salmon dip. Their sandwiches come in around noon every Weds - Fri and are delicious. Turkey with cheddar, turkey with swiss, roast beef, italian, veggie, etc.

I am so grateful to live around the corner from McCall's. The meat, seafood, and produce are excellent. Everyone who works here is great. Both Jesús and Trevor in particular are awesome; they are both super knowledgeable and kind, and they give the best recs for recipes, spices, etc.

Went here to buy picanha... I'm a bit disappointed that they only had precut picanha out. Not to mention they cut a lot of the fat cap off, probably to make their own beef tallow... I also figured they would know to cut with the grain on picanha.

This place has been my go to place for a while now. They have the most amazing curated collection of sauces, dips, pastas, spices, canned goods i have ever seen. Now for the meats and seafood. You will NEVER buy your steaks anywhere else once you've tried theirs. The seafood is the freshest by far, and I always get compliments on the Salmon and Tuna. Don't forget to grab their brown butter, salted chocolate chip cookie dough!! Heavenly!! They also have a frozen section filled with gourmet dishes and Italian pizzas. To top it off, the staff couldn't be more kind and knowledgeable! Love love love this place!!
