Portland restaurants with locations in other cities - Eater Portland

"Yes, this seafood and chophouse chain with dark wood paneling, warm tones, and Craftsman light fixtures is now owned by Landry’s (Bubba Gump’s parent) and has multiplied across the country. While McCormick and Schmick’s remains a domestic affair, the now shuttered Oregon Bar & Grill, an upscale American restaurant in Tokyo, was at least at one point loosely affiliated with the homegrown venue." - Krista Garcia

Great drinks. Food was very good. The crab cake was good but too expensive for what you get. The walnut salad with grilled salmon was phenomenal. Highly recommend. The bourbon glazed salmon was okay, but everything on the plate was a bit too much on the sweet side and the fried colcannon was both too mushy and too greasy. Will definitely come back here again. The atmosphere was very romantic.

I had a business lunch today, but hope to find other reasons to return. Fun space with waterfront views. Staff was very helpful and on top of their game. Food wise, I had some fresh oysters on the half shell. Very good. Very fresh. I also had the king salmon with gnocchi. This was one of the best salmon dishes I have had in some time!

Holy cow. Where to start? So, we initially were going to go to Black Angus, but the reviews were so bad we decided against that. I have family visiting from the east coast, so we made reservations for here instead. Well first, the reservation was for 7:30p. They waited for me to arrive so we ordered drinks around 7:50p. The drinks didn't arrive until around 8:15p and then only 2 of the drinks came out. The waiter NEVER came back during that time to take our appetizer orders or to let us know the bar was searching for bitters for my drink. No check back or anything. And I get it, I work at a restaurant where the management doesn't stock bitters at the bar either, so that actually wasn't far fetched- but not checking in but pre-bussing the table of 8 directly in front of us, looking at us and then walking off was trash. Once I went and spoke with the host stand is when the waiter finally came back and said they were waiting on the bitters and didn't want to only bring two drinks-- which they still did. Ok, drinks finally arrive. We order appetizers. <Also, one of my guests was being very ornery and slightly unreasonable and I apologize for that.> Appetizers came out in a good amount of time and the Shrimp Kisses were a true highlight! The glaze and the perfectly cooked bacon were top tier. The baked scallops could have used more salt and parm for my individual liking, but they were good! I didn't try the shrimp cocktail, but there were none leftover, so that should tell you something. Now to the meal. Everyone's meal was visually appealing when delivered. Great temperature and no complaints there. The steak was cooked the proper temperature and was seasoned well. The traditional glazed salmon was a hit! But then came the downfall- my stuffed salmon was absolutely delicious... until I got to the middle. The inside was RAW. RAW. RAW! I know some people eat salmon med temp or med- rare sometimes, but they didn't ask my preferred temp, I would assume the fish would be done. The representing manager, Yason, did table touch twice and was very professional with my combative guest, so thank you. I subbed the traditional mashed potatoes for the andouille mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The green beans perfectly al dente and the sauce was great. Because I had to send it back, Yason took it off the bill and they recooked it for me to go.... only when I got home, the middle was again, STILL RAW. I'm still mad because I wanted the food. Our waiter was just annoyed at it all and I didn't get to enjoy the meal. Ugh.

Never had steak with such a stunning view before. Their center cut filet mignon is soft and tender, perfectly cooked as ordered. The mashed potato is so smooth and delicate. Grilled chicken is also soft and still tender and juicy. Only that the chicken sandwich that comes with burger buns as at first we thought it would be served with bread. Amazing selection of drinks. Good price considered the quality and portion of the dish, especially their location that could charge much more. Staff is very attentive and helpful.

Nice location at the waterfront in Portland. Went there with a group of 6, table was good and service was friendly. I had a selection of raw oysters and the 13oz New York Strip, and both was good standard, yet not exceptional. Things that I didn‘t like was speed of the service, especially with the drinks, the place was freezing cold, and the oysters that I ordered as starters came with the entree. It’s a shame, but I have to say I had way better steak house experiences in Portland.

What a great ambiance by looking over the marina and the Willamette River. Sitting at a shaded table on a hot day with a cool.breeze really ends the day with peace and relaxation; what a fun and relaxing atmosphere. My family enjoyed drinking chilled beverages and enjoying delicious foods, appetizers and just enjoying the clean and classy environment. We will definately be back! The scallop linguini with fresh herbs and roasted pine nuts was made perfectly!

This restaurant is in such an awesome location and the food is pretty good. It's located directly on the waterfront and there is a bit of a view from the indoor seating as well. The outdoor seating is perfect on a beautiful day, they have umbrellas in case you want more shade and the view of the water makes it even better. (This is in a pretty energetic pocket of Portland so there are lots of people walking by) some people love that, some people hate it so I feel like that's important to mention. The food isn't anything special to me but it's definitely good.

I took a friend to lunch and enjoyed a spectacular afternoon at McCormick and Schmick's Harborside. The perfect weather was complimented by perfect seafood for me and an excellent steak for him. Oysters are always a good idea in the PNW and the concept holds true especially at M&S. I tried a sampling of the day's offerings and all were exceptional. The seabass Oscar style was sublime as well.
