Great little place, located in a strip mall center. We got a pork belly taco and it was very good. Nice and juicy like a good taco should be. The red cabbage was a real plus. Nice home town feel. Busy little place during lunch.

This food is some of the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere! Fresh, perfectly seasoned and just out of this world good! The taquitos are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The bowls are divine and the bbq chicken quesadilla was perfection! Also the queso is fantastic. You can’t go wrong with anything here

We chose McDevitt Taco Supply for our wedding dinner buffet at SkyView in Estes Park, and could not have been happier!! We also rented flatware, plates, water glasses, and napkins through McDevitt (which they set up). The food was fresh, delicious, and high-quality, and the service was unparalleled - Mike worked our wedding and did a phenomenal job!! We had two people with specialized dietary requirements, and he went above and beyond to make sure they had a great (and safe) plate of food to enjoy. He also made sure our dessert buffet was set up even though they weren’t supplying our desserts!! Additionally, he made sure my mom felt reassured about everything which is a whole task in itself hahaha. I also really appreciated the apps that were set up in the bridal suite for us to enjoy before we joined cocktail hour - we needed a quiet moment but were also starving. Thank you Mike and Sean for everything - we could not have been happier with our wedding dinner and the service provided!!! The only thing I am sad about is that we had to give away our leftovers since we were leaving for our honeymoon the next day lol Here’s our menu - it was also super easy to accommodate veg, vegan, and gluten free diets: Stationary apps for cocktail hour: - chicken quesadillas - cactus salad bruschetta - fried pork belly - Chips and salsa bar + guacamole Tacos (included all the fixings): - slow roasted pork w pineapple - chicken and green chili - sweet potato and black bean Sides: - southwest garden salad - orzo salad Honestly I'm just waiting for an excuse to drive to Boulder to have McDevitt again and relive some of our wedding food!!

The Tropical Storm taco is amazing! Unique and delicious. Pork Belly was awesome as well. Their salsas are really good too. Cool little place. I suggest sitting outside. The only negative is the music inside is pretty loud. Hard to have a conversation. Sitting outside on a nice day is awesome though!

Google
Probably the best tacos I have ever had and a great freshly made margarita.

Google
Wow! First time here. Braised beef breakfast burrito is probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had! I’ll be back to check out their happy hour (everyday 3-5) food.

Google
It was greatly recommended by a colleague of mine who is actually not local but would always stop by if he is in town for business. I tried the first time and loved the tacos so much that I was craving them the next day. I went back from time to time for dine in or takeout and I was never disappointed. It is a small restaurant with great vibe, very energetic, very Boulder. It has good selection of beers and is also dog friendly. I have seen some adorable dogs by the tables in the outdoor sitting section while their owners enjoyed the food and the drinks. I do notice I would get couple extra tortillas in my takeout. Wish this happens to dine in as well because the tacos that I have tried are all with lots of flavors and well seasoned, hence the extra tortillas would be a perfect balance.

Google
Three of us dropped in here kind of late on a Thursday. It was absolutely packed, but we were able to be seated in a group at the bar after a few minutes. We normally don't like bar seating, but we enjoyed it this time. There were two different people sort of tending the bar and taking and serving orders and both were friendly and super fast and efficient. We tried the salsa trio and while we thought they were very fresh and made with high quality ingredients, none of them had much heat at all. They did mention to us that their salsas were about flavor and not heat and I'd say that's a perfect description, as all were interesting and flavorful. Still, we like more heat. The tacos we had were super good, and all served hot and fresh. The flautas/taquitos we had as an appetizer were also very good. All of our drinks were absolutely fantastic, with fair pours and perfect preparation by the bartender. I'd rate this as one of the better experiences we've had in Boulder.

Yelp
Had a delicious breakfast burrito with chorizo--flavorful and satisfying, with some kind of magical sauce that pulled it all together. No table service at breakfast, but ordering at the bar was quick and easy. They called out my name and had food to me in under 10 minutes. Cozy patio for me and my dog to enjoy a relaxed morning.

Yelp
Love. Try to make it here anytime I'm in Boulder. Always consistently good. Recently took my boyfriend who loves tacos, and he was blown away by how good they were. We were staying in Boulder for a week and had dinner there twice!

Yelp
This may be my new favorite taco spot in Boulder after having an amazing lunch experience the other week. Unlike my first visit, or rather first attempt to visit since I didn't stay, the music was at a pleasant level and the staff was super friendly. Complete 180 from my first experience! Food was great and the margarita was super strong. I honestly wish they had the pork banh mi taco all the time because that was the favorite amongst our dining party--ended up ordering 2 more. I will definitely be back in the near future and would highly recommend this place to anyone craving a good taco fix! Thanks to the staff members who made our dining experience a great one!!

Yelp
Update: this is a follow up as my previous experience was take out and didn't go so well. The owner reached out and i promised I'd be back to try an in house meal. It's an entirely different experience and i think i wont do reviews just from take out any more because this place is amazing. Better interaction with the server than most places very friendly and helpful with specials (cajun catfish taco) and cool drinks. An inquiry revealed the "most popular taco by far" is the pork belly and it did not disappoint. Fresh made hibiscus tea: on point not sweet with the perfect blend of flavors Chips and salsa: excellent smoky red salsa - my opinion is that the salsa is the #1 determination of the quality of food and this was very nice Pork belly taco: it's like bacon but with substance i can see why it's popular. The exact opposite of having a salad. If your date goes vegan on you this is the go to to keep the earth on its axis. Mexican street corn: i have to say this is probably the best I've had. Comes in a bowl cooked to get a little caramelization on it. Absolutely perfect. Likewise if your date orders the pork belly, this is your go-to Quick note they are having a special if you order a big gift card you get free margs for a year

Yelp
Chips, queso and salsa were quite good. Chicken dilla was filling. Unique setup and grab a beer while there!

Yelp
McDevitt is my favorite local option for both creative tacos and comfort food! I love the variety of ingredients and different items on the menu. They often rotate out taco flavors and other things like drinks. My favorites are the shrimp taco, street corn bowl, and definitely the S'mores Quesadilla! This is a must get and awesome on those cold snowy Boulder nights. They have lots of drinks and the servers are friendly. It's a nice feel inside and you can sit and the bar, tables, or outside. It gets busy but I've never waited too long. Very good sauce and the kitchen folks are always nice!

Yelp
After running our Saturday errands, my husband and I only had one goal. We wanted to eat tacos and have a marg on a patio. We live in Gunbarrel and we're rarely on this side of town so I googled "Mexican restaurant with patio" and McDevitt was the closest to us. We were welcomed and sat immediately at a table outside. Both of the servers that helped us were great and attentive. The taco options were creative and everything we tried was delicious. My favorite was the beer braised beef taco. My husband loved the chimichurri. The star of the meal was the jalapeno green chile margarita. Everyone claims to have a spicy margarita, but they're never truly spicy. This is a delicious and legitimately spicy margarita! I absolutely loved it. The other margs we tried were great too! This is definitely going to be a regular spot for us now. The service, food and drinks were all fantastic. My only request is to pleeeease offer a side of rice and beans on your menu!

Yelp
Stopped here for tacos after going to Portal Thermaculture behind Sanitas Brewing. Split four tacos with my husband - Chipotle peach chicken, slork, beer braised beef, and thunder taco. The beer braised beef was definitely my favorite with the pickled onions and cabbage - all of the other ones were good but I felt it was missing something, maybe more seasoning? The meats themselves were all moist and overall tasty. The tacos were pretty reasonably priced too, between $4.25 - 5.75. The stand is right outside on the patio of Sanitas and was a very quick turnaround on food. Good spot!

Yelp
Great tacos and great service! Unique combinations with lots of flavor. Was served quickly.

Yelp
A swing through every year and always love this place... the dry rub wings are great and I always enjoy a couple tacos... the caso seemed thicker that what I remembered... house margarita... yum 4.3 stars
google avatar

Deke D.

Yelp
As they say, not traditional and not original but delicious. Great food, great service. Definitely come here if you are in the neighborhood. The house marg was great, we had the nine taco platter with chicken and green chili, braised beef, garlic beef, pork belly and the special crunchy shredded taco. All were excellent. Eat here if you can. Thanks for putting the effort into great food. McDevitt taco

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! The restaurant is not big so it was pretty crowded when we went. But the service was great and our orders came quick. We got the 9 taco sample and order their wings, both amazing! Their wings was exceptional and was definitely the table favorite.

Yelp
Stopped in at 2pm for a couple tacos because I was in the area. About half the tables were full, the music was upbeat and there was a nice background chatter. I appreciate the wifi so I can get some work done in this sweet space. The waitress had a wonderful laugh and the owner personally told me about his special - pork verde. A local farm had too many green tomatoes, so he took them all, slow roasted them, cooked the pork separately, then brought all the ingredients together. He described it as "It's better the next day" kind of sauce. They were like soft pork chop cubes covered in warm bright salsa. I almost thought it was tomatillo, but it was so much better. (BTW - I love green tomatoes.) Tortillas are the 6" corn kind. The onions were bright but not too much and the tiny tortilla chips on top added a nice crunch. These tacos remind me that that tacos don't need to have more than a few ingredients to be delicious. They are so much better here than what I try to make at home, it's totally worth it. Also, the happy hour is 3-5pm with pork, kale or chicken tacos for $3.50 and a Sanitas Lager for $5 (and lots of other options) but happy hour is for dine-in only. And, when I found out that McDevitt all started as a taco truck, I just want to support them in this Boulder restaurant endeavor even more. P.S. They still have their taco truck for catering events.

Yelp
What a great find! I visited for lunch with a couple of colleagues as this was the closest restaurant with gluten free options. It's tucked away in an aging shopping center but has a very cute atmosphere and decor inside! The menu is pretty simple, and I was told nearly all items are gluten free/celiac safe aside from beer battered items and the fryer is not dedicated GF. I got the chorizo taco and chimichurri taco and both were delicious, as was their house Yerba mate. Quick and friendly service, too!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Solid tacos and friendly staff. Had the tacos at Danitas before and didn't know they had a shop. Wil. Be back.

Yelp
Home of the "Boulder-style taco," McDevitt Tacos are fair, but lacking in spice and depth. We ordered the chips and dip combo and requested their spiciest salsa. While tasty, the salsa was more of a blended pineapple chutney with zero detectable spice. The tortillas lacked structural integrity, falling apart as soon as they were lifted off the plate. The steak was delicious, I added it to my charred lime salad and it made for an excellent addition to an overall plain salad. The pork belly tacos were great, the sauce had a tinge of spice and the pork itself was flavorful. The service was decent, but the busy atmosphere made it difficult to get much time with any given server. The music was loud inside rendering it difficult to make conversation.

Yelp
We stopped by after my girlfriend finished a client, she needed something to eat quickly and wasn't feeling very well. I thought things would be better than they were. I ordered chips and salsa and a beer for myself, water for her. They brought out the waters, which were pre-poured on the side bar, poured my beer, and then proceeded to take care of 10 minutes worth of other things before bringing us the chips and salsa. They weren't exactly busy either. We were the only two at the bar. There was some dude outside who had already eaten ahead of us, and one other party. My girlfriend wanted to head out... So I told the server that I was going to walk her to my truck and I would be back in a few minutes to grab the leftovers. I asked if she could package things up. I mistakenly left half of my beer... When I returned, there was an empty bag for the chips, empty containers for the salsas, and my beer was gone. I guess the definition of "package things up" is different with younger servers... i'm honestly not sure how they've been able to make it this far, the last time I had tacos there they were full of gristle. I wish them well.

Yelp
We came in after a long day and were excited that McDevitt's was open "late," you know, by Boulder standards. The food was great and our server was excellent! I have been disappointed in a lot of taco places, but this one lives up to the hype! My margarita was tasty and the guac, queso, and salsa were all so good! I was super hungry and forgot to take pics of my tacos, but I got the cactus and shrimp taco and they were delicious! I'm not even a fan of sweet shrimp- their's is honey chili, but I'm pescatarian, so I am limited in my choices and yeah, I really liked the honey chili and would get it again. Cactus was my favorite! They also have a nice HH so that's cool! I highly recommend this taco joint!

Yelp
$15 for 3 tacos and I had the green chiles with chicken, the house made chorizo, and tropical storm. The tropical storm had fried plantains on it and was my unexpected favorite! The staff were very friendly and overall vibes were good.

Yelp
Amazing food! Great service and ambiance. Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Their recent special, 'Mrs. Roboto' was an incredible braised pork taco. Highly recommend.

Yelp
McDevitt Taco Supply... supplied!!! Before I go any further, I should note this is a review over their catering service. My husband's office had them cater a retirement party at a brewery. The server was amazing. He had everything set up, super quickly and orderly. There were chicken, steak and shrimp for build it yourself tacos and chips, salsa and queso to build your own nachos or appetizer. Everything had spot on flavor! Especially, the salsas. There were three different kinds and every single one of them was authentic, delicious and a great accessory to a chip or taco. At the end, there was a ton of leftovers. Again, the server was amazing! Before we could even ask, he had everything broken down and sealed up into to-go containers. I heard from my husband that tacos were brought out as a midday snack the next day and that the office was mighty happy about it. So... I guess you could say, McDevitt Taco Supply supplied twice!

Yelp
Wanted to try this place--family showed up for an early lunch. Music was at an ear splitting level. We had to shout to one another before we ordered so I asked the sole worker if she could lower the volume a bit-- if looks could kill. She sneered at me and then didn't lower it. We tried to resume a conversation about lunch then all 3 of us said. Let's just go to Efrain's and F this place. What a joint! I can't imagine that having the volume of the music at that level is conducive to business.

Yelp
We finally had a chance to get back over here. It is still cute, friendly and with lots of choices to eat and drink. My husband was pleased to see one of his favorite beers on tap tonight. Avery's Ellie's Brown. We did not need a big meal so we opted to share the nachos. Wanting a little more substance to the Heady's Nachos we added the optional chicken. That was the only flaw in our plan. The chicken itself was rather cold and greasy and offset the rest of the ingredients. It was not ideal though not harmful in quality. Next time I would love to get the nachos with the standard ingredients only. The tomatillo salsa was mild but with good flavor. The guacamole was good and clearly freshly made, the queso was ample. I asked for extra cilantro and light on the onions and it was served exactly that way. For me, the perfect balance. There were 2 other salsa choices so you can have what you like too. I also think it would be an added bonus if the chips were warmed but not a deal breaker either way. We need to try more menu items in the future, but by ordering carefully, you can have a really good meal. And you can be sure you will be treated well.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten here twice in the last month. Once take-out and once done in. They staff is amazing and it's a joy to be in this buzzing local space. It's a very positive feel. The Margaritas for me are wonderful. I like them limey. My husband prefers them a little sweeter. The specialty margs are interesting and fun flavors that my friends have enjoyed. The queso was a bit runny so hard to keep on the chip but delicious flavors. The tacos are filled to the edges. The honey chipotle shrimp is our favorite though the sauce is inconsistent in that sometimes it's super heavy with chipotle and other items it's perfectly balanced with the sweet from the honey and the bitter from the chili. The chicken has also been inconsistent but is delicious when it's a good night. The steak tacos have a ton of flavor as well, and of course all of the veggie options are great.

Yelp
I know this is a taco joint, but OH MY GOSH THEIR CHICKEN WINGS ARE SERIOUSLY AMAZING (maybe some of the best in Boulder???) As per our super sweet server's recommendation, we got the dry rub which was absolutely spectacular. Sweet, spicy, and flavorful AF, and the wings themselves were SOOO crispy and juicy -- I've been dreaming of them since. They had birria taco special which was pretty tasty too, though it could have used some cheese on there. Their shrimp tacos were tasty and the cucumber margarita was lovely and refreshing. Check them out!!
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Food was dry and had little taste. The cauliflower wings were good but the tacos were all disappointing
google avatar

Kira M.

Yelp
This is a super cute place! The staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Even though it was a bit busy, we didn't feel rushed or stressed. The chicken wings and pork tacos were amazing!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
What a find! Chill taco joint tucked in a strip mall. Friendly, prompt service. Great vibe. Interesting bar menu if that's your thing. Great food and very reasonably priced. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
When going to Sanitas Brewing, getting tacos along with the beer is a must. Portions are generous and they have a great selection including plenty to choose for vegetarians. My friend loved the Kale Yeah Taco, and my favorite last time was the Thunder Taco with diced pork full of flavor. I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side as some of them can be quite spicy (the pineapple habanero will set your mouth on fire!). During covid at Sanitas Brewing, you upload the menu and order on your phone, and they call your name when ready. They were fast even if the patio was quite full, nice!
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Sooo fire. My friend and I have been searching for some good tacos and McDevitt delivereddd. All the staff was so chill and friendly and the vibes were A1. Definitely will be back:)

Jared J.

Yelp
Good lord, the things I could say about this establishment. Best tacos in Boulder, hands down! Exceptionally friendly staff, and great vibes/ambiance. I absolutely love McDevitt Taco Supply, and it is the first place that comes to mind when entertaining visitors, or when asked "where should we go to eat?" Thanks for the years of incredible food, hospitality, and margs. To many more
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
Best tacos in Boulder with great varieties. Always like to try the daily specials , never disappoint! The drinks are crazy good too.

Jack P.

Yelp
Pineapple salsa dip is fire best salsa I've ever had, tiny cozy, and heady music selections

Tyler B.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. The food is absolutely amazing and I would come back literally just for the pineapple salsa and chicken nachos. Pricing was good and you get a ton of food for what you pay. Service was great and we didn't wait long for our food. It's a great little (literally) spot to grab some great food after some great beers at the brewery
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Great atmosphere at Sanitas Brewing, good tacos (yummy sweet potato) and chips, friendly service.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I just went here with my boyfriend and our friends dog that were dog sitting for the week, and we all had a great time eating lunch here today! The tacos are pretty good, and I was super satisfied with the customer service, it's the best that I've had in awhile! Our server and the manager kept checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and they even brought out a water bowl for our dog as well! I'll definitely be coming back to this place next time I'm craving some tacos.

Estes P.

Yelp
Fantastic tacos and margs as usual, and they brought a bowl of water for my dog, too! It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the patio.

Yelp
Taco Ratings: Chili Shrimp Taco - 9/10 (smokier than I'm used to) Sweet Potato Black Bean Taco - 10/10 The Cactus Taco - 8/10 Went for a Taco Tuesday during lunchtime and it wasn't busy at all! Indoor and patio seating available Tucked away in the corner of a strip center, this restaurant is a hidden gem you should absolutely try when in Boulder! Friendly staff too!

Craig L.

Yelp
McDevitt catered our sons wedding and everything was perfect. The food was fantastic (we got a lot of compliments) and the service was excellent. I will definitely use them again.
google avatar

Eve S.

Yelp
The service and tacos were fantastic! Wish we had a restaurant like this back home. Large variety of tacos to conquer even the pickiest of eater and everyone left full and happy. Will definitely come here again the next time we are in Boulder.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
This place probably had the best customer experience I've had in a while. I'm from southern California and we have our fair share of Mexican food, but these quesadillas were the best I've ever had. A couple of the tacos were very dry, but we had an awesome experience otherwise. I'll be back when I'm back in town!
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
I've not been to the actual McDevitt Taco Supply but only the shack at Sanitas, and every time I order I am very pleased. My first two times I ordered the sweet potato kale taco, which is savory and filling. Whatever salsa they put on that taco is refreshing and cuts through the warm potato well. I've tried the veggie quesadilla with cactus, which always has the perfect proportions of cheese, cactus and veggies, and the tortilla is both crisp and soft. I've also ordered the nachos with cactus-- the cactus tastes fermented, I'm not sure, but is sour and adds zing to the savory queso, salty chips, and (very mildly spicy) green salsa.

Yelp
I'd be careful about specifics during Happy Hour. I was not informed of "specific" beers (just 1) as the Happy Hour option. So I ordered on tap and as an uninformed patron purchased the Odell's IPA. I was told three choices from the server. I expected all three to be at HH price. I was informed otherwise after I got my electronic itemized check. When I went in to ask about the upcharge, I was then informed only their Mexican water beer is the Happy Hour price. So be informed that not all drinks, told to you by the server is priced accurately. My biggest disappointment was when the manager literally said to me (after we just gave McDevitts accolades prior to seeing the bill) was "Oh, well."). Like 'Not my problem '. Here's your problem, uninformed servers who were NOT in training (as I noticed otherwise).
google avatar

Jared B.

Yelp
Neat little taco spot in a shopping center. Great food and good craft beer selection. I had the pork belly, braised beef, and honey lime shrimp tacos, and I would rank them in that order but all were tasty. My wife can't eat onions and had a tough time ordering because they couldn't remove onions from a number of the dishes she tried to order. She finally found something but it was a little inconvenient. All in all it was a positive experience and our server was wonderful.

Anna L.

Yelp
Eco-Cycle booked McDevitt when we held an event at Sanitas Brewing Company, and everything went super smoothly! As a Zero Waste organization, it was incredibly important for us to not create any trash during our event, and the team at McDevitt worked with us to make this happen. Sean also kept a close eye on things and arranged to bring in more of the veggie option when he saw it was running low. It was all seamless and easy! We would definitely recommend them or use their services again.

Sommer S.

Yelp
Fast service and originally delicious tacos! Recommend the guacamole and their extra sauces too!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Flavorful and plentiful tacos! Great vegetarian options as well. Must have when having a beer from Sanitas Brewing.

Yelp
The reason I know about McDevitt is actually because of the food cart on Pearl Street. Let's be honest when I need a healthy lunch I do prefer the Boulder Bowls that situated itself close by, BUT when I need something salty, delicious, and FILLING. These tacos are my go-to. The biggest surprise and first turn off was Kale in a taco...KALE. But let me tell you, perfection. Never did I think I would enjoy it, but never judge before you try. The kale is in multiple tacos and all have become my favorites. They ate nice/hefty tacos that carry a ton of flavor. I usually get 2/3 depending on how I feel. The store however is a different story. The store was nice, pretty small, but a great concept to have a physical store as well as a to-go situation (probably helped with COVID-19). The store served more than the to-go cart, BUT the meat in all of my tacos from the store were either over-seared or it literally taste 100% like salt and no meat flavor. Maybe it was a bad day, will try and come again. Also take advantage of the $1 off from yelp for Chips and Salsa, refreshing and delicious. I also ordered the queso, mine was a bit watery and I didn't enjoy it. I usually enjoy any queso, but this one even I left on the table. Overall love these TACOS. Give it a try and support them on Pearl Street at their to-go cart or the physical location off of Baseline- tucked away in the corner.

Yelp
Their house made sangria is DELisHHH. Food is ok. Like the decor and there's a patio.
