McDonald’s workers sue chain for failure to protect them from violence | Eater Chicago

"On an early November morning a male customer allegedly brandished a gun and threatened to kill a female worker, then returned to scream at her and coworkers; he was eventually arrested, but employees say restaurant management never interviewed the assaulted worker about the incident. The filing frames this episode as part of a pattern in which staff are exposed to severe threats and feel unsupported by on-site managers and franchisees, contributing to physical and psychological harm claimed in the lawsuit." - Ashok Selvam

Great location inside Union Station with comfortable seating. Great service, prompt and friendly. Kevin is a marvelous problem solver and resolved a complicated order problem that I made a couple of weeks ago. Highly recommended for travellers traveling through Union Station

McMorning in D.C.: Breakfast on Track at Union Station You can’t go wrong with a McDonald’s breakfast when travelling on an early Amtrak, and the small McDonald’s at Washington, D.C.’s Union Station didn’t disappoint when we visited at 6:30am on the morning of Memorial Day, Monday May 26, 2025. Unusually, the McDonald’s didn’t have electronic kiosks but we were served quickly by the cashier. We ordered: 🥯 Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel and hash brown = $10.09 ☕️ Premium Roast coffee upcharge = $.40 🍔 Sausage & Egg McMuffin and hash brown = $8.69 ➕ Extra sausage = $2.19 🍊 Orange juice upcharge = $1.50 😢 Tax = $2.29 💰 Total = $25.16 A similar order, at Boston’s North Station last summer, cost us $20.40, once again showing the rising cost of eating at McDonald’s. Despite this we enjoyed our food as we travelled south from D.C., bound for a few days at Williamsburg in Virginia. On our last visit to D.C., in summer 2017, our train suffered a severe delay and we had a long wait at the station, so we got our supper from this McDonald’s. We can say that the breakfast was much better!

Always served quick, hot food. I’ve only ever eaten breakfast there. But, friendly staff, pancakes are hot! You get the occasional homeless person asking for something, but that’s typical of Union station.

Convenient spot if you’re rushing through Union Station and need a quick bite. The location is easy to find and usually pretty busy. It's conveniently located to the Amtrak Metropolitan Lounge. Great service!

Dear McDonald's Team, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback regarding the coffee service. I've noticed that when I order hot coffee, it often comes without a cup holder, which can be quite challenging since the cup is very hot to handle. I believe providing a holder would enhance the customer experience by making it safer and more comfortable to enjoy the coffee. Thank you for considering this suggestion!

One of the few places open very early in Union Station. The workers are fast, efficient, and friendly. Perfect stop before an early train.

I ordered 2 fish sandwiches and specifically asked for 1 slice of cheese instead of the 1/2 slice they add. What did they do they added it anyway. Then I noticed that they was as dry as a desert. No danm tartar sauce. They act like they don't understand English. Well they sure proved you can't have it your way. NOT LOVING IT.
