The food was perfect. The wine was amazing. The guest house was fantastic. Yet that wouldn't have created such a uniquely wonderful experience without the knowledgeable, friendly staff who had a genuine warmth, kindness and care for what they were doing and who they were serving. Whoever does the hiring and training deserves a gold medal. Every single person that worked there was exemplary, and could teach all of us how to be. I can imagine guests ranged from those that go as regularly as is possible, restricted by waiting list, and those that go as a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone gets the same unbelievable attention. Huge thanks to all at MacNean House. I'll never forget the experience. PS - Make sure to book the stay over. Waking up to have that breakfast was a perfect way to end the trip.

Have been here for the 4th time in 4 years this year. Always amazing food, service and atmosphere.||I have only stayed in the townhouse and love it as plenty of room for up to 5 people. ||The cocktails are very good quality, the wine list is extensive and has some very affordable wines on there.||The food is amazing, and 4 of us have very different tastes (ie some veggie, some not). ||Portions size generous for a tasting menu. ||The breakfast is top notch too.||What makes it even more excellent is the service, everyone is so friendly and professional, but still a relaxed atmosphere.

Fabulous experience, the food is amazing, we had the tasting menu and it was all delicious. The only thing I would change would be the music, it was just short of pan pipes! Service is excellent and the team there are very friendly and professional. Nevin was there at breakfast making his way about the tables. He’s a great host. The rooms are very comfortable, but those facing the street can be a little noisy from trucks and lorries passing through the village. Breakfast itself was also fabulous, lovely home bakes, especially the delicious madeleines. This is hospitality as it should be.

Absolutely wonderful experience on our first visit to Nevins, Food was fantastic ,we had a truly memorable dinner, all the staff made us feel very relaxed throughout the visit. We stayed overnight in a lovely comfortable room and to top the visit of we had a gorgeous breakfast. Huge thanks to Nevin and all the team we will definitely be back 👍

What can I say? Just had the most magnificent dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. More than just fabulous food, the entire evening was a wonderful experience. Attentive staff, beautiful atmosphere, food and drink worth climbing a mountain for. Absolutely blown away. Nevin himself was there with a word and welcome for everyone. Genuinely the best dining experience we have ever had.

I have wanted to go to MacNean house for some time and I was not disappointed. My family brought me here as a surprise for my birthday. Our rooms were well appointed, comfy and have everything you need including a bath. The beds are comfy but I found the pillows a little uncomfortable. ||We had the tasting menu and went for the wine pairings. The food was delicious start to finish. The pace of the plates was a little quick but I asked them to slow it a little which they did no problem. The dining room is well laid out, well lit (even with Christmas lights) and has a nice ambience. The staff were professional, attentive, friendly and warm. I liked the fact that the restaurant does a single sitting per evening. ||Breakfast is served at the same table we had for dinner and is of an excellent standard. Served a la carte, we had excellent porridge, prunes and apricots with some delicious yogurt. We all opted for the fry which was well presented and tasty. Delicious sausages, bacon and pudding. A special mention for Imelda who was maitre d’ for breakfast. Attentive, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her and the team. ||Unfortunately, the weather was wet and visibility poor so we did not experience the full beauty of the area. An excuse to return some time in the near future😉

Surpassed all expectations in every way! Food was fantastic, including the breakfast the next morning. Accomodation was perfect too. The only problem is it will take a long time to get back as it's booked out for the foreseeable!

We had a superb experience. Neven is a gentleman, clearly passionate about giving his patrons an experience to remember. The food was delicious and incredibly well presented. Neven was as nice a guy as you’d imagine, really lovely to us all. We will certainly be back. Highly recommended!
