22 Outstanding Halal Spots in New York

"Meat and Bread is another addition to the Lower East Side’s growing collection of non-traditional halal restaurants. It offers a pleasantly upbeat setting with a pink color scheme, a flame grill from which burgers and steaks fly, and an international selection of dishes including a rib-eye sandwich with chimichurri sauce, fried chicken and waffles, a chopped cheese empanada, and a chicken masala sandwich." - Caroline Shin, Robert Sietsema

The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, September 2021 - Eater NY

"Opened nine months ago by Yamoni, Azimuth, and Khadija Bari, Meat and Bread is among a new crop of halal restaurants appearing on the Lower East Side not limiting itself to Middle Eastern or South Asian food. Its specialty is grilled sandwiches with an international flair, including the flagship chimichurri ribeye ($18)." - Eater Staff

Stopped by with my cousin and was blown away by the quality of the cuisine and atmosphere. Even though the food had every bit of authenticity in flavor, taste and texture, it also had a unique touch to it which would set it apart from anything your mom would have made for you. Now my mom is a great cook but this definitely would be a home away from home experience. I had the ceviche and the chicken korma, they were both excellent. The korma was quite filling and was served with bread, a bit different from what I expected, definitely would recommend both those dishes . The ceviche was on point and was of the best I have had, and I have been all over the world.

Loved the ambience to begin with. Not a very big place, but cozy enough. The food is halal and offers quite a good amount of options in meat and salads. We took the pulled meat burger and crispy chicken burger. loved both of them. the meat was very juicy and flavorful. the french fries was full of seasoning and very fresh

This place is great! The Cowgirl burger (BBQ, bacon, cheese, 4 onion rings) was a really good, hearty burger. The fries were probably the best. Every fry is battered, fried, and seasoned — a crunch in every bite. Get the house sauce on the side, it’s like fry sauce. Waffles were basic with lots of berries but they have waffle variations that we didn’t try but could be good. Service was friendly and fast! No complaints!

Google
Decided to visit Meat + Bread after reading about their infamous masala chicken sandwich - it did not disappoint! It’s absolutely delicious and the star of the show is their turmeric aioli. I went with a friend and we shared 2 sandwiches between us (highly recommend that so you can try more) and the Korean hot chicken burger hit all the notes you want: funky with the kimchi, hot and sweet sauce, super crunchy fried chicken. Sitting at the bar was great as we were able to chat with the owner a bit and honestly, he and the rest of the staff just give off such amazing vibes. He recommended we come back for weekend brunch as the menu is entirely different! It features all the usual brunch items but with a Meat + Bread spin. The shakshuka was deeply spiced and the chicken and waffles came with an intense hot honey sauce that left our lips tingly and wanting more! Overall, it’s just such a solid option for a city overrun with “the best” chicken sandwich - they certainly don’t advertise themselves as anything special but the food and the staff speak for themselves. Absolutely brilliant.

Google
The foods are absolute delicious halal food. One of the best burger and fries I’ve ever tasted. The patties are really very juicy and the fries are one of a kind. The Cowgirl burger is a highly recommended. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Probably my favorite restaurant in all of Manhattan! Highly recommend the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. Seating is limited but have never had to wait more than 15 min. Bathroom facilities are great. Love the atmosphere and the friendly staff (especially Joon).

Google
I came to Meat and Bread on a Saturday evening for dinner after hearing the meat they use is halal. The menu had a lot of great looking options to choose from and I decided to try the house ribeye steak sandwich. It was pretty good and filling but I was hoping for a bit more flavour or seasoning so I had to add some hot sauce. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The prices are on the high end but the food will leave you full for sure. I would definitely like to come back again and try some of the other delicious looking menu options.

Google
Meat and Bread is a nice small sandwich/burger restaurant on the Lower East Side. Although it is small, the decor and layout make up for it. The food ordered today was the fried chicken sandwich, the ribeye sandwich with house sauce, classic cheeseburger, and garlic parm loaded fries. The fried chicken sandwich is a classic anywhere and meat and bread does it wonderfully. The bread choice for all the sandwiches is different from other restaurants. The ribeye sandwich was cooked to a tender medium which made the sandwich super juicy. It was also paired perfectly with the house sauce. The cheeseburger was very juicy and full of flavor. Finally, the garlic parm loaded fries were just amazing and very filling.

Yelp
Great halal option in the city! I heard amazing things so I was excited to check it out. My brother and I decided to get a few dishes and share, which was perfect because we were able to try a few different items. Chimichurri steak sandwich: 8/10. The meat itself was tender for the most part, but I felt it could have used a bit more flavor. Maybe a spicy sauce or something to really elevate the flavor would have gone a long way, especially for a steak sandwich which can get dry over time. The bun was perfect though and overall, it's a solid option. Hot honey chicken sandwich: 10/10. This one was soo delicious! Crispy and well seasoned. Every aspect of the sandwich was well done and the flavors were on point. Fries: we got a version of their spicy, seasoned fries and these were sooo good too. They were crispy and done right! Overall, as a bonus, the service was great and the restaurant was nice and clean so I would go back!

Yelp
Meat and Bread has some high quality fantastic food from what I've seen, heard, and finally tried. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich with a side of chimmichurri fries (the chimmicurri is required, it's so damn good) and it did not disappoint. The hot honey sandwich was fresh and the condiment was fantastic. I've had hot honey before but none quite like this, I could see myself buying a bottle to take home next time I'm around. The chicken and fries were both crispy and the turmeric aioli (I think that's what it was called)? complemented both really well. On top of all that, the employees were super nice and friendly. I'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
Great place for group gatherings or dates. Modern aesthetics with bohemian vibes. We went as a group of ten and had a wonderful time. If you're craving desi food with American fusion, this place delivers. The meat is Halal, if thats a deciding factor for you. The service was exceptional, our server Yamoni kept checking in periodically to make sure we were taken care of, and provided many great suggestions. Def check this spot when you're in LES.

Yelp
One of my favorite halal spots in NYC for sure. The bbq sandwich was crazyyy tender and the slaw gave it a perfect crunch. The chimichurri sandwich was crazyyyyy. I highly recommend it and will be coming back for it again. Its not healthy food but if you're down for an AMAZING cheat meal packed with flavor, come here. Service was attentive and fast. The ambiance is great with an awesome playlist, bollywood on the projector and a decent amount of seating. Come here for quality food!

Yelp
My friend wanted to check out the ribeye burger after seeing it online. A very cozy place. They have a small bar with chairs if you really want to be intimate with the chef. We sat upfront. The service was a bit slow until the second employee came. It was lunchtime so I'd expect all hands on deck. The ribeye chimichurri burger was good. The meat was juicy tender on tossed bun. I think it could have a bit more seasoning and that would take it to the next level.

Yelp
The first thing you'll notice walking in is the decor. Cool, vibrant murals on one wall complemented by darker shades and modern edges in the back. I love the open air kitchen and getting to watch the process. The results of that process are - for the most part - delicious fusion foods that feel complimentary rather than gimmicky. "Korean Style Chicken Sandwich" - was a tad sweet and not crispy enough, but the kimchi is A class and the bun is beautiful. "Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles" - my winner winner chicken dinner, generous chunks of chicken breaded and sauced perfectly atop crispy waffles. "Beef Empanada" - a must order! Can't explain why the beefy, spiced gravy bursting out of a flaky shell works so well. "Chimichurri Fries" - weren't as flavorful as I'd expected but they were fried nicely and came in a generous portion "Korma Tostada" - tasty, tostadas were nicely crispy, but just missing something to make it zing Overall, an excellent spot for quality ingredients at fair prices and some fusion food that feels natural (not like HEY IM FUSION FOOD COME THROW MONEY AT ME BECAUSE I KNOW YOU LIKE THE IDEA OF FUSION)

Yelp
Came here with a bunch of friends for a reunion; it's a small place, so thankfully they had enough space to fit a party of 10 during slightly off hours at the tail end of brunch. The food seems to be mostly American mashed with pan-Asian influences; my friend ordered a fried rice with crispy fried chicken that wasn't half bad. I don't want to slam this place too badly, but I was craving dessert and ordered the "Beignets served with whipped cream and market fruits"...yet what I was served was NOT beignets at all but 4 small deep fried CHINESE BUNS (mantou)!!! I paid $10 for a dessert dish that I normally get for free at AYCE hot pot! Stick with the mains and go get your dessert elsewhere.

Yelp
A great menu with lots of captivating options. They're famous for their Korean-style fried chicken and their chimichurri ribeye sandwich. We opted for the sandwich and we're not disappointed. Where else can you find a ribeye sandwich with chimichurri sauce in New York City? $20 may seem steep for a sandwich, but they don't go cheap here. The meat is succulent and plenty. I wish it had been warmer, but it was a great sandwich. The service is welcoming and personable, but a tad slow... so visit when you're not in a hurry to get somewhere else.

Yelp
Pictured: Loaded Chili Cheese Fries $12, The Cowgirl $14, loaded Chicken Masala Fries $12, Chimichurri Ribeye Steak Sandwich $18 and Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich $17 These fries were absolute The flavors all blended together so perfectly with the perfect amount of spice - definitely a 10/10! Burger topped with American cheese, onion rings, and bacon on a premium potato brioche with a side of turmeric aioli - so delicious! We tried the loaded fries which were very flavorful and delicious. The steak sandwich could've used some more seasoning. And the chicken Sandwich was crispy with a unique twist of flavor from the hot honey. Overall 8/10

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant! We got the hot honey chicken sandwich and rib eye steak sandwich with chimichurri. Both were made really well and tasted good. We got there at noon on a Sunday and were hoping to order chicken and waffles but they were not making waffles then unfortunately. It's a small restaurant inside and the decor is nice. Staff was friendly.

Yelp
Small shop located conveniently right outside the train/bus stop. There is enough seating for a few small groups/individuals and doesn't get too busy. I ordered the loaded masala chicken loaded fries which were really good! The portion is extremely big and good for sharing. I also ordered the hot honey fried chicken sandwich - crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside that comes with a side of fries. Only thing is I wish they gave a heads-up that my order came with fries so maybe I can upgrade to something else. Overall food was pricey but good. Would recommend!

Yelp
This is a cute and quaint restaurant. I came here today for brunch with my cousin. We chose here because it was halal. The food was very tasty and fresh. My burger literally melted in your mouth and the fries were good. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved the crispiness. We got the cinnamon caramel sauce on the side and that was a perfect pairing for this meal. The staff was friendly and food was made to order. This place is small probably can seat about 15 people.

Yelp
You're spoiled for food choices in the LES but I specifically sought out this place when I saw someone on IG review their ribeye sandwich. I had their chimichuri ribeye sandwich and it was as good as it sounds. The ribeye wasn't super thick but it was substantial. For $26 you get what you pay for. I had mine cooked medium and came out spot on. Tender and flavorful meat accented by a nice chimichuri sauce with every bite. It was crave worthy. I also tried their beef Empanada. It was on the small side but the filling was flavourful and very juicy. I would definitely hit up this place again.

Yelp
Before trying this place, I never understood the hype behind chicken and waffles... I am happy to report that I see the light now. The quality of everything was really good and the menu was quite extensive. It's so nice to be able to have halal options for popular American food items! I look forward to going back and trying more things on their menu. The place is a little small (not too much seating), but still has a nice ambiance.

Yelp
An East Village/Lower East Side local eatery: a variety of comfort foods (I highly recommend the Loaded Fries), great lunch specials, quaint & cozy ambiance, and super friendly, welcoming staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Sadly, this is the last time I will order from Meat & Bread. The first time I had the steak sandwich, it was great. The next two times were just awful. I ordered medium and got the exact opposite. The steak was burnt, overcooked, and so incredibly tough. At that pricepoint, it was not worth it. I gave it another shot and ordered from the restaurant again. This time, I ordered medium rare to try to see if the steak would be cooked correctly it was tough, dry, and not medium rare. Sadly, this is the end of the road. Photos are attached.

Yelp
Pretty good Beef Empanada (wanted to try the chicken one as well but it was not available) In the area quite competitive for empanada as there's Dominique Cravings and Empanada Mama. But they are up the game, the sauce was def a plus.

Yelp
As I inch closer to review number 1000 (yes...), I hope to really bring on the goods. Situated in the Lower East Side (LES), right off the F train at 2nd Ave (literally), it is something I had to try. Initially, I was going to give this a four star review, but after some thought, I am bumping it down to three stars. This is based on the Hot Honey chicken sandwich that I ordered. What is good: -Sandwich is lathered with plenty of honey, which is store made. And it is good. -Plenty of bird on the sandwich. -Perfect crispiness. -Juicy meat. -The pickles aid well for digestive purposes. -Friendly customer service. What is not good: -The bread is the wrong choice. Because of the honey, the bread gets soaked in it, making it too soft and messy to eat. -Pretty expensive sandwich. -Took a bit too long to wait for the food. -Very acidic sandwich. It needs to be paired with a coleslaw or a macaroni salad to temper it. French fries alone are not going to do it. -The breading hogs the chicken. I want more meat, not breading. It is called Meat and Bread, not Meat and Bread and Breading. If I return, I will try something else.

Yelp
We went today to try the burger, and I can say after trying a lot of burger that this one is one of the best that I had ever t, it was perfect, bread, sauce, meat, tomato, cheese, everything was so fresh, I really appreciate how details this people are in this place. I also want to say, great service, nice people! Everything clean, pretty, awesome mural! Thanks

Yelp
The restaurant itself is really cute and well decorated. The staff is friendly. However, the food was just okay. It leaned on the good side but it was kinda pricey for what it was. The hot honey chicken sandwich was better than the ribeye sandwich but it didn't wow me or have anything special that stood out to justify the price. Especially when the neighborhood already has other really great chicken sandwich spots such as double chicken please or 375 chicken n fries.
google avatar

Yelp
The servers here are super friendly and attentive, and you really can't go wrong with any of the regular menu items. They had a special chicken parm sandwich when I visited. I do not recommend that one. I got to try both the masala chicken loaded fries and the chop cheese loaded fries. Both were very tasty and the seasoning was on point. The fries stayed crispy despite being covered in sauce. There was a decent amount of meat with the loaded fries. Our group tried the fried chicken sandwiches and burgers on their regular menu. Everyone agreed that the fried chicken sandwiches and burgers were great! The burgers/sandwiches are hefty and full of flavor. At the same time, we all agreed that the chicken parm was not a good choice. The chicken was underseasoned which was like a 180 degree difference from everything else on the menu. The textures also did not work out too well-- the bread was soft, so it disintegrated from all the marinara sauce. The chicken was also on the soggy side. I'm very glad that I tried stuff from their regular menu because the chicken parm would have scared me away from this place! If I'm ever craving some loaded fries or a good burger, I'll stop by Meat + Bread.

Yelp
10/10 recommend. We were here for iftar last night and everything was delicious! I got the Chimichurri burger (you need to get this!), while my friends all got the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich. We enjoyed every bite. We also got loaded fries and chimi fries, both were delicious. Everything was around $98. The service was really good, you order at the counter and they serve it to you once it's ready. We asked them to delay our order till it was time to break our fast and they happily obliged! They even gave us dates to break our fast with!! The decor is also really nice. There's a couple of tables with a huge mural on the side of the restaurant. They also have bar seating as well (the meat is halal and they serve alcohol). Definitely take a trip down to the LES for this, you won't regret it. I even took some empanadas to go for my sister and she enjoyed every morsel.

Yelp
I know the famous Katz deli is a block away but if you are looking for a burger this place is it.

Yelp
I am actually in love with this restaurant! The food here is soo good and worth the price. This review is based on a couple of days, because I've been here a few times. I actually met one of the owners Azi, who was very kind and welcoming and explained how everything is made from scratch including their delicious hot honey. My first time here I got chicken empanadas to go for my family, which were delicious. They continue to launch new menu items and the Korean fried chicken sandwich was a huge hit! Also got to try their loaded masala fries. In the summer they started a Halal brunch menu for the weekend (still going on) from 12-4pm. The chicken and waffles is amazing! Also tried their sausage and peppers, and steak with chimi fries, greens and sunny-side eggs. Overall its a great spot to go with friends or family, usually fills up but there's plenty of seating!

Yelp
Love this place! Every time I come, they always deliver great food. I've eaten here multiple times, have gotten to-go, and have brought quite a few guests here as well with thumbs up from all. My favorite is hands down their hot honey chicken burger. I recently had their brunch with chicken & waffles which was great as well. I will say I wasn't as big of a fan of the rib eye sandwich, I feel like it has potential but had something missing. I love that they're continuously experimenting with new menu items and pushing their creativity to help deliver a great experience while not compromising/getting rid of their classics. The staff and owners are very nice and love to hear honest feedback. Always recommend this spot to out of towners looking for a quick and trendy halal place. If you haven't tried Meat and Bread, here's your sign to try it now!

Yelp
I would argue that this is one of the best Halal spots in Manhattan! Food: I had the pleasure of trying the brunch menu here and I'm obsessed. The chicken & waffles here are VALID! The owner himself (super sweet guy!) recommended that I try the hot chicken with waffles since there's a variety of chicken options you can choose from. I also got the regular waffles and the B.E.C sandwich. All delicious. The brunch menu was fantastic. And best part is...it's all Halal! Ambiance: The space is clean, generous amount of seating and has really cool art on the walls. It's more on the casual side where you can enjoy food and have a conversation with a friend at the same time. Service: These folks are on top of their game. The food comes out fairly quickly and the staff is sooooooo nice here. Can't wait to come back and try some more of their sandwiches!

Yelp
Randomly stopped in for lunch since we were in area and wanted a quick bite. Really pleasant surprise - we ordered the burger and the honey hot chicken sandwich and both were great. Price was reasonable as well and service was really good. Would come back again.

Yelp
Oh my lord this hot honey fried chicken sandwich is BANGING!! You have got to get in an Uber NOW and get to this place. So so so good. I'm addicted and will be back soon.

Yelp
The shakshuka was delicious. The tomato was tangy but not overpowering. The cheese was flavorful and melty. The egg was runny but did cook because of the heat of the dish but was no trouble at all. I think the shakshuka could do with some more bread on the side though. But otherwise legit the best shakshuka and I can't stop, won't stop thinking about it. The hot honey chicken sandwich was stacked with two thick chicken cutlets and the spice level was perfect. Not too hot, not too mild, just enough kick. The pickles were cut length wise which ensured you got some in every bite and something I appreciated. One of the chicken pieces however was kind of tough and inedible? Not really sure what was up with that so I couldn't eat it. The Korean fried chicken sandwich is great and was my first time having the chance to try Korean fried chicken. Can't say much else about it because I haven't had other Korean fried chicken sandwiches save for this one and one other so I don't think I've gotten the general flavor profile down yet to judge what a good Korean fried chicken sandwich IS, but it was good! The service is fantastic and everyone is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always spotlessly clean and the art on the wall is always a delight to see.

Yelp
This restaurant was a perfect brunch spot for our group of 5, and was an incredible experience! The hostess was so nice and helpful, which immediately set a good vibe for our meal. We were all thrilled with our meals, and everything was cooked perfectly. I got the chicken and waffles, which was the perfect mix of sweet and crispy. My friend ordered the steak and chimichurri sandwich, which I tried a bit of and thought it was excellent. I would definitely return here and suggest to others!

Yelp
If you want to try halal brunch spots in nyc : go here If you want to have an amazing brunch experience, from exceptional service to great tasting food: go here If you like fried chicken and waffles but you want AMAZING fried chicken and waffles: go here If you want a pretty pic for your Insta: also go here But mostly, if you want to be blown away by a hidden gem that offers a flavorful menu: definitely go here

Yelp
Overhyped on Instagram. The Korean chicken was over fried for me. My friend's Korean chicken burger wasn't as fried so there's a lot of inconsistency. Portions are also very small. Giving it an extra star because the prices are reasonable- especially for New York!

Yelp
I had a medical episode right before walking in this location. The staff were SO KIND TO ME. I was scared, and they were great I looked like walking death, they gave me water. Let me charge my phone AND helped me find my car! I didn't buy a thing. I was out of it I will recommend this place OVER AND OVER simply for their genuine willingness to help those who can't help themselves. Indulge in a meal here. You won't regret it. THANK YOU!

Yelp
I highly highly recommend checking this place out. Mostly Every item I've gotten so far has been superb . DO not skip out on their chilly fries . This place is always adding items to their menu and always switching it up which is why I love it , and keep coming back for more . I recommend their chicken sandwiches and burgers. The only thing I could say wasn't too great was their steak items , as it's always super chewy and tough to get down .
google avatar

Tsvika K.

Yelp
Hiding around the corner is - Excellency! What ever they prepare is a 2-3 notches up than others on the same staples - ribeye, burger , chickparm etc. They bring their own twist to the obvious. Chickparm with fantastic tomato sauce - Bang! Ribeye Sandwiche with excellent chimi and obviously take it rare . Fries the way I like it , cut medium , not too oily and still crispy . Easy order online and great service at the place . Definitely a DESTINATION!!!!

Yelp
Some of the best food I had Halal wise in NYC. The staff was very friendly and worked with us in making sure we got exactly what we wanted to eat! Great place to grab some lunch / Brunch!

Yelp
This place simply hit different. A simple concept of a variety of different meats in between two pieces of bread revolutionized with a desi twist to your traditional sandwiches. Super ecstatic to have such an awesome option for halal food and of course finally a unique spot. Highly recommend their ribeye sandwich and beef empanadas if you were to come here for your first time. The beef empanadas were out of this world. MUST TRY. The bengal bbq chicken sandwich is not your typical fried chicken sandwich. It was salted to perfection with a sweet after taste. It was great. However, the cilantro toppings on it may not suitable for everyone but I thought it was a great touch. Highly recommend their fries as well. Request a special turmeric dipping sauce. You won't regret it. All the food took about 5-10 mins to come out. Can't wait to come back and try their cowgirl burger and chimichuri ribeye next time. The owner is super friendly and customer service was fabulous. Feel free to sample their custom hot sauces too!

Yelp
Not my favorite halal fried chicken place, but it's ok. We ordered the original fried chicken sandwich and the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. The hot honey definitely has a good kick to it. We ordered the larger sandwich which comes with two pieces of chicken, but we should have ordered the smaller one. Sandwiches are a bit pricey for the size. My favorite thing on the menu were the chimi fries! So delicious! The service was decent and the location had some indoor seating available.

Yelp
Very small portion chicken sandwich for $14. Not worth the hype, even though it tasted good. Maybe I'll come back to try the steak sandwich everyone keeps raving about.

Yelp
Beef empanada, rib eye sandwich- medium done ; Bengali bbq ( specially made on request ) - the decor , ambience and vibe was all on point - will definitely be back to try the rest

Yelp
WHAT A GEM Finally had the chance to check out this place that is FULLY halal in the Lower East Side. Food: 8.5/10 We got each of the three empanadas offered (beef, chicken, and Philly cheesesteak) and all were absolutely fantastic. The Honey Hot Fried Chicken that tastes exactly as it's described. Honey is the first thing you taste accompanied by a deep spice that is breaded in the fried chicken coating. It is also pretty huge. We also got the Chimichurri Ribeye Burger, and the BBLT (which uses halal beef bacon). The Ribeye Burger was great but perhaps it didn't need to be cut up as it was difficult to eat with many pieces falling out (will post that photo later). We ordered it medium rare and it was delightful in taste. The BBLT was also perfect. The buns, as they told us, are baked fresh daily from a bakery that they get it from. All items are fresh and never frozen. Price: 7/10 It's standard to a little pricey for some items. The specials go for $10-$14 and an average price for a burger/sandwich is $15. The price point could be a little bit more justified if the items came with something on the side. But it is understandable since this is a downtown Manhattan location. Atmosphere: 10/10 LOVE the atmosphere. Plenty of seating, chairs have great back support (lol, this was noticeable and had to be mentioned) and there's countertop seating as well so you can see the food being made. There's also a pretty wall mural that catches your eyes from outside. Service: 10/10 You order up front and take your seat. Food comes to you and ours came in a decent amount of time. Also everyone is very, very nice! Chill vibes.

Yelp
Had the chimichurri ribeye sandwich. The bread and the chimichurri were both outstanding. The ribeye was just way too chewy, which made the sandwich hard to enjoy. I ordered the meat cooked medium. Perhaps medium rare would have been better. I'll be back to try another sandwich here though, too much promise in the bread and the sauce to not give it another shot!

Yelp
We live nearby and came twice since the weather got warmer. We love the food and even more the fact that they avoid as much as possible single use plastic packaging. I want to give them 10 stars.

Yelp
Super hard bread, dry meat, and just overall super minimal taste! As one of the more popular halal burger shops, I had higher hopes

Yelp
I happened upon this lovely little spot today and was so happy that I did. Great service, the food was cooked fresh and very good.

Yelp
Food was great but the most horrific customer service I've ever witnessed. After we ordered we were told a catering order came in and our food would be about 30 minutes. We sat there for about an hour after watching them make many of the exact sandwiches we ordered. I'm not sure why it never occurred to them to give us 2 of the 50 or so sandwiches that they were already making given we were sitting right in front of them. At the end, we acknowledged the food was great but the wait was absurd and if there was anything they could comp. The most they would give was 10% and argued that the food was fresh so nothing should be comped (even the French fries). The most pathetic part of the altercation is the owner did not address us at all (or even apologize for our long wait). He should be embarrassed by himself for not talking to me directly and hiding behind his young employee.

Yelp
Best burger I've ever had in MY LIFE. HANDS DOWN. That is all. I've been to over 25 different countries, I've tried all types of cuisines and I've had burgers from many joints but nothing NOTHING topped this Honey Hot Fried Chicken burger. I've sworn by this burger because I really think its the best burger I've eaten. The rest of their food is good too, but you've committed a crime if you walk out of this spot without trying their Honey Hot Fried Chicken burger. Sadly, i don't live in NYC so I'm just dreaming about this burger until I'm lucky enough to come back and experience round two.

Yelp
Wow! Everything about this place is amazing! We had a group of 7. Every dish was unique and full of flavor. Chimichurri steak sandwich, egg fried rice, chicken risotto, masala loaded fries. The service was great and the owner is super nice. We will be back!

Yelp
We had the Bengal BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Chimi Fries. The Bengal Sandwich is one of their specials. The sauce was an interesting touch to a classic BBQ sauce, believe it is a combination of tamarind and BBQ sauce - giving a smokey, sweet, tangy taste. The carrot and cilantro topping added great texture and flavor to the sandwich. The Hot Honey was AMAZING! It had a little kick but a great balance between sweet and spicy. The pickles really complimented the sandwich. The bun was really fresh and buttery (all their buns/bread are purchased from a local bakery). Both the sandwiches were 10/10, the meat to bread ratio was perfect! Super friendly staff, both the waitress and chef were welcoming!
