Good quality meats cooked just right. We ordered the MDC platter and it really is plenty of meat for 6. Even with the MDC you will want to order some sides/salad to go with it. Beef ribs and pork ribs were very tender and the meat fell off the bone. Next time I go I'm going to try a burger because those looked good too.

Meat hook was excellent, coffee was warm, carrot cake was dry. Overall not a bad experience.

Unique burger but the inability to swap out french fries was a huge bummer. Beer selection was weak.

Place has a good vibe the food was excellent definitely probably one of my favorites here in California

Meat District is one of our favorite steak spots. The Hook is SO delicious! They are well equipped to deal with big groups. We have brought as many as 35 people for dinner (with reservations). The burgers and ribs are also recommended. This is a solid choice for a good meal out.

I absolutely love this place! Lots of great menu items with HUGE food portions! Happy hour specials are amazing! $4 wine, $5 beer and cocktails as well as $5 select appetizers. The restaurant is very hipster with lots of seating area in the front and back. The bar area, however, is extremely small. Fiona was our bartender/server in the bar area and she was absolutely amazing!

I think this place was part of my best experiences in my travel to LA. Is such a pretty restaurant, and their waiters are so friendly.

So, I first want to say I've have a Cleaver card and have been able to come almost every week. I stood out on the street for 12 hours for the promotion and have brought friends in when I can as I go weekly. Usually I have a good experience, the meat is always amazing, along with the wait staff, they are always super friendly and warm. My 1 star is because management left a bad taste in my mouth. First I brought two friends with me, we ordered, I got the sliders *That are in the section known as burgers* and my friends also ordered two different burgers. I also ordered the beet root fries (unfortunately I was unable to enjoy them because they were a little burnt, sent them back and was told it was the same batch /meh) I wasn't charged for the fries, I didn't eat them so I guess that makes logical sense, unlike what I'm about to say. So they come back to me with the check and the waitress tells me that the sliders isn't included with the cleaver card, although when you look at the menu the sliders are clearly in the burger section of the menu... the logic they gave me was that the system didn't accept the sliders for the cleaver card, SO WHAT ABOUT my two friends who ordered burgers? Clearly they could have discounted one of them if that was the logic behind it, they just chose not to, or actually the manager Scott did not want to. I will not be bringing people in here to spend money any longer, and doubt I'll be back. TL:DR Wait staff : 10/10 Food: 8/10 Management: leaves you a bad taste in your mouth not wanting to come back. -1/10
