The quality of these meat slices is excellent, and they taste amazing. The wagyu beef, in particular, melts in your mouth. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable, and the kids absolutely loved it!

For a party, don't forget to call ahead or come in a day in advance! INSIDE: You are greeted with a relatively small space, including a wall of enticing pictures of meat for sale. There are also selections available in the center to grab and go any additions like noodles, sauces, fuel cans, etc. SERVICE: Cashier was friendly and helpful. She understood our prompt: enough meat, including wagyu, for a hot pot at home for 10 people the next day. She recommended a combo that she assured us was enough and indeed it was, almost more than enough! She got our information down for the next day's pickup. FOOD: Excellent. Every cut was displayed beautifully and labeled clearly, with good thin slices for hot pot purposes and the wagyu really showed off the marbling. The wagyu was of course stunning, but the selections offered in the combo were unique as well including beef tongue. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the meat. Wonderful. Would definitely come again to try their other offerings or whenever our next hot pot party will be!

This is a great place to grab all kinds of meats for grilling, skewers, or hot pot. My go to order is their chicken cartilage skewers (already prepared and seasoned) and the beef tongue. For the beef tongue, they can cut it to whichever thickness you prefer. At first, I didn't know how thick it should be and the cashier busted out a ruler to make sure I would be happy with the cut. They are always so friendly and helpful! If you place your order as a walk in, they have a bench inside for you to wait or to shop around their small selection of hot pot/grilling goods. You can also place an order over the phone for easy pick up.

Made a pick up order. Wasnt ready and they did not know about the order at all. Took 25 mins to prepare. No applogy.

Service is top notch and good quality meat. Must get would be all the skewers, chicken skin is another one of our favs.

My favorite meat spot. Always so friendly no matter the staff member. I haven't visited this location in over a year since moving from the area but came back today and much has changed. They have new wagyu menus and combo deals! Neat. Today I got 3 prime filet mignon cuts 2" thick. They were kind enough to vacuum seal my meat.

I found this place through the Facebook group SGV EATS. I got the chuck wagyu for $22.95 per pound for a Hot pot night at home. It wasn't frozen meat and the meat was more on the leaner side which I like. It wasn't melt in your mouth type of quality but it was decent and a better grade than the frozen ones you'd get at the supermarket. We also got fish balls and they have a sweet taste to them. They also sell bottles of sauces like the goma and ponzu sauce for $6 and $5 respectively. That was convenient since it saved me a trip to the super market. They also have Chinese soup bases priced reasonably as well. The store is located across the way from Alhambra hospital. You can park on the street. I think you can walk up and order but you might have to wait a little since they have to slice it. I called ahead and made my mom speak mandarin and order for me haha! It was ready to be picked up when we arrived.

We don't get the fanciest and most expensive meats from here yet this place offers great quality meats. Everything we've had so far has been delicious and melt in your mouth good. My mom who has bad teeth and has a hard time eating market bought meats due to their toughness loves meats from here. You can order ahead on their website and pick up to save some time.

There are many kinds of beef and New Zealand lamb. Hotpot lamb rolls, beef rolls. There are also have different prime steaks. You can grill the skewers directly after you buy them home.

Whenever my family does hot pot, we usually buy our meats from the local Asian markets or we'd drive out to Tokyo Central for some good deals. This time, we decided to spend a little more money for some quality meat. The shop is very unassuming, located on Las Tunas Drive between Santa Anita and San Marino (close to SGVMC). Storefront is pretty small, with a small waiting area and complimentary tea as well as their menu of meats displayed alongside one wall. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and surprisingly there were around 5 other parties that also did so at a similar time. You can phone in orders, but if you walk-in, they'll prepare the meat in the order that they're received so definitely try to place your order as soon as you can to avoid a wait. Looking at all the selections, we were pretty overwhelmed; however, one of the workers or owners was friendly enough to explain the selections we were interested in. The meats here are not cheap - if you want quality ribeye and wagyu, it's about $20 per pound. You can order specific items by half a pound, but there are some that are restricted to by pound only. We ended up ordering half a pound of three different meats; total came out to a little over $40 which is on the pricier side. Out of the three, the prime ribeye was my favorite (and also the priciest). This was $35.95 per pound, but the meat was incredibly sweet and tender and melt in your mouth delicious. You could definitely taste the "meat" flavoring when biting into the ribeye. There were maybe about 15-16 slices, which isn't plentiful, but being able to taste this quality at least once was worth it. The Kobe brisket was $23.95 per pound. This meat was alright; not the best tasting, but had good flavor and wasn't bad. For around $12, I would say that it was a bit overpriced just because the meat wasn't anything special. And lastly we got the prime kurobuta for $25.95 per pound. This was my least favorite out of the three. Taste was decent, but we had way cheaper pork from the local supermarket that tasted better than the kurobuta, so I couldn't justify buying this. I will say that all the meat slices were quite lean and didn't have much fat in them, which is great if you're trying to eat healthy. They have a VIP membership for $35 a year that gives you a 10% off discount each time you shop. The presentation of the meats and the packaging are top notch, and probably something you pay for in the price of the meat. tl;dr - Meat To-Go has some quality meat that is worth a visit! I definitely recommend giving them a try. Now that I know how good the ribeye was, I'll probably stick to that the next time I visit. They also have skewers and meat for KBBQ as well as seasoning, noodles, grills, etc.

Very poor quality Wagyu A5. Dishonest business practice. Hiding the bad quality meats on the bottom pile and putting the nicer meats on top of both stacks that I bought. I will never visit this place again. This is the not type of premium meat that I paid for and expect. They said that it is like this because it's is at the end of the meat they're slicing. They will make it up to me the next time I come back. No thank you, I rather take the loss than get ripped off again.

Meat galore! Great place to get your meat as well as fish and hot pot ingredients here instead of going to the market. Order by the pound here and ready to go! Parking is available on the street. It's a small place but shouldn't be hard to find on Las Tunas Blvd. Once inside, it's nicely decorated with pictures of all the meat offered with pricing on the wall. Front in the glass display is a refrigerated area where there are also fish collars here. In the middle is a table filled with sauces and soup base ideal for hot pot / shabu shabu. Customer service is great here also. Very friendly staff and quick service. I've gone here twice when they were about to close and still took my orders. Can never go wrong when you're in need of meat here for hot pot. Fresh meat and great service - great combination for a great night of hot pot!

One stop shop for all your hotpot and bbq needs. From tools to soup bases, they have it all. I've not tried their hotpot stuff but their bbq meats have made me a regular here. Quality meats and decent prices. The ordering process is extremely easy with large pictures on the wall with prices. Very smooth and easy process. Best to pre order on busy days.

Ever since I discovered this little gem, I never go to a grocery market to buy my hot pot meat! It is best to call ahead and place an order for pickup to avoid waiting at the store. Or you can place an order online on their website! I love how the meat is always super fresh, tender and juicy! I think it is reasonably priced since you're paying for the quality meat. Also, I always order my squid balls here too because it taste like real squid compared to the frozen squid balls from grocery markets. The staff is extremely friendly and provide amazing customer service. If you are having a hot pot night/party, you definitely won't regret ordering from this place for quality food.

Nice selection of high quality meats and you can find all your hot pot and grilling needs here. Besides meat, they sell the pot, the grills, sauces, soup based, everything! We get our hot pot meat here, but our crowd favorite.. lamb skewers!! It's $15 for 15 skewers and you can also buy the spices for them. I don't eat lamb, but something about chinese lamb kebabs and their special cumin spice mix... I love it so much. My husband's family is from Northern China where lamb kebabs are a huge deal and it has their seal of approval! They're really friendly here and accept credit card. We keep coming back just for these kebabs...

Whenever I had hotpot at home, meat Togo was the only place I got meat from, the quality of the meat is the best!

I wish I had found this place sooner! Picked up the following orders recently: 1. Japanese Wagyu A5 short rib, 2 lb pack for $440. 2. Angus bone-in short rib, $18/lb. 3. Lamb skewer, 15 skewers for $30. 4. Scallop skewer, 10 skewers for $30. 5. American Wagyu short rib (boneless), $69/lb. I'm trying to eat less meat in my life, but when the quality of meat is this good, how could I resist? The meats here were definitely HIGH quality. Although, I have to say I have had better Japanese Wagyu A5 short rib else where. This batch of meat was just a tad bit chewy compared to other Japanese BBQ places where the A5 is just melt-in-your-mouth goodness gracious yummy--but maaaaybe it was the way it was cooked at home. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But still, it is rather good compared to regular Prime USDA or Choice meat. No comparison! But for $220 a pound? That was nearly $30 for each small slice of short rib; one tray came with 15 slices. I've had this for $10 a slice at Tsuruhashi and it was super bomb! The rest of the meats I ordered were tasty! I, especially loved the lamb skewer! Lamb can taste gamey, but in this case it was not bad at all. The meat was tender and juicy. It was a hit! The lamb skewers were accompanied with two small seasoning containers: regular cumin and a spicy cumin. The spicy cumin was my favorite! It paired wonderfully with the lamb skewers. I ended up putting this spice on everything! It made all the meat more flavorful! For those lazy folks that do not want to go in the store, this place offers online orders! =)

With the situation right now, I really appreciate the ease in placing an order with Meat Togo. I ordered some meat Friday night via text, they responded right away taking your order, name, and pickup time. I walked in and they ask for your name, bring out your order, and you pay. I paid with card and the gentleman kindly reminds me the hand sanitizer is available to use after signing the iPad. The meat quality was really good and you can tell it's not shabu meat that's been sitting in a freezer too long. I ended up placing another order for our following hotpot night since we still had veggies to eat. I'll definitely come back to try more meats, even other than the shabu meat. They had so many selections!

My go to place for hot pot meat and Chinese style skewered meat! My favorite is the American brisket for hot pot. Also great for bbq parties, all of the meat is already skewered, saves a lot of time skewering at home.

This is the best place to get all kinds of great quality meat you need - shabu shabu, yakitori, or bbq. The best part is their great service! Teresa is awesome - gave helpful recommendations and extended exceptional customer service! We ordered beef tongue for our camping trip and Teresa did a special cut for us! I highly recommend this place!

Great fresh selection of quality meat. Alittle pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. I chose the wagyu brisket, alittle fatty but really tender slices of meat. I thought the most interesting part about the restaurant is you can purchase your own prime rib or other meat and have them dry age items for you for a price. They take awhile to slice it because they slice it fresh once you order it so I suggest calling in so you don't have to wait. It took us about 10 mins to get our meat.

This place is great! They have a great selection of high quality meats for hot pot, yakitori, and Asian style BBQ. The shop is small and clean. The owners are friendly and helpful if you have questions. I came in on a Friday to pick up hot pot ingredients. I ended up getting: 1) American Wagyu Brisket (great texture) 2) Angus Prime Rib (great flavor) 3) Yuba (tofu skin) Everything was delicious. The American Wagyu Brisket was tender and fatty. The Angus Prime Rib has a great meaty flavor, but not as well marbled as the Brisket. Next time I go I am going to try the Beef Flake. There was a Chinese couple that came in before me the stocked up on Beef Flake. I am not sure what it is, but it must be good.

Support your local small businesses and come get your meats here! They have a wide selection and quality is way better than your average supermarket. Call ahead to order so you don't have to wait since they do need some time to prepare it. For a butcher shop, it's super clean inside and doesn't smell like the typical meat aisle at all. I love getting the sliced prime ribeye and A5 short rib for our at home hotpot. Their lamb skewers are really good too!

Being a hotpot meat addict, I am extremely picky and particular of the type of meat I eat. Through referral, I found Meat Togo. They have the best tasty, delicate and high quality meat I ever eaten. When I first eat it, the meat almost melt in my mouth, very tender and soft. I am really really really really happy and satisfied with the quality Meat togo provide. I have been referring my friends to them and so far all of my friends who got sent by me only had good things to say about Meat Togo. I have become their regular customer and forever client. I highly recommend Meat Togo to you. Trust me, you will love the quality of meat, the varieties of meat they provide. They are one of the best Meat vendors I have ever encountered. I placed an order over the phone. The lady was very polite and was very prompt. They texted me when my order was ready, if I am not there in time. Which is great. The shop looks simple, few chairs, cold food area, menu is on the wall. I picked up my food and went home to eat it. The food was good. I felt for the price, it was definitely not worth it. I felt chipped... even though I asked for no rice, which takes up majority of the meal for our lamb order. Think of a white Togo square box. All filled with rice to the top. The meat is probably the size of your palm spread out with toppings. My poke bowl without the rice was the same. I expected more lettuce. The tuna didn't seem a lot. I wish I ask how much ounces of fish was in there. I did not get full at all...even a poke place gets me full for the same price. I might just try their kabob or slice meat for hot pot. I hope it is worth it. Does anyone know know if 3lbs is with the tray being weighed or is?

You get what you pay for. The meat here is pricier than most places but quality is way better. Meat is never gamey tasting and had good marbling. Owner is nice and you can call in an order ahead of time.

Timmy + Vivian and their cute little butcher store has an unbelievable selection of meats. Every time I host hot pot at my house, I must stop by here because my guest can absolutely taste the difference in quality. I'm so excited to cook my first bone broth this week with an entire cow leg they cut up for me (I already snuck some ankle bone marrow and it was quite delicious). This place is hot pot meat heaven and I wouldn't take this experience over the much lesser experience at the other local supermarkets.

Four category review! I came on a Friday around six pm :) Parking: there is parking around back if you can't find street parking in the back! Plentiful honestly. Service: the older gentleman was insanely nice! I opened the door and was greeted by a smiling face and welcomed. While waiting for my meats to be prepared, he asked if I wanted anything to drink like tea or water! On the house he said laughing too. Gosh. I adore this place already. Ambiance: There's Chinese music in the background that's really relaxing. The shop is spotless and displays are very clean. Quality: The quality of the meat was very good flair the price! The fat on the meat was amazing. Honestly, very worth the price instead of slicing beef yourself for an hour or two.
