MEATliquor - Review - London - The Infatuation

"After a wholesome day of taking turns pointing at ducks and yelling “isn’t that your boyfriend” with your friend, it’s time to refuel. In the spirit of keeping things silly, head to this loud and proud meat joint that has “poke for Jäger” buttons on every table and crispy fried chicken smothered in tangy buffalo sauce. Meatliquor in Queensway is fun, it serves some hippie fries we have a bit of a crush on, and most importantly, it’s less than a three-minute walk from Hyde Park. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I had an amazing experience at Queensway Meat Liquor, and a huge part of that was thanks to Antony! From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. The food, as always, was top-tier—juicy burgers, crispy fries, and cocktails that hit the spot. But what really stood out was Antony’s attentiveness and friendly attitude. He checked in just the right amount, making sure we were happy without being intrusive. It’s rare to find service that genuinely enhances the dining experience, but Antony absolutely nailed it. If you’re heading to Queensway Meat Liquor, I highly recommend asking for him—you won’t be disappointed! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks again, Antony!

Great spot for burgers and comfort food! The atmosphere is lively with fun decor and upbeat music. The staff are friendly and service is quick, even during busy times. Tried the chicken burger and cheese fries—delicious with generous portions. Prices are fair for the quality. It’s a perfect place for casual meals or drinks with friends. Highly recommend MEATliquor Queensway if you’re craving a tasty, energetic dining experience!

My partner and have ordered from here a lot and on Sunday night we ordered through just eat. He got a burger salt and pepper fries and I ordered Tonkatsu fingers. Mine were just 4 pieces of dry chicken. Nothing at all on it and not even any separate sauce. They were £11.80 and never even got 5. The salt and pepper fries were completely devoid of seasoning. Went to just eat to complain and have still not heard back from them after 24 hours. Then to top it all off my partner noticed that at the bottom of the receipt there has been a discretionary 12.5% service charge?? For a home delivery!!

Great place for a fun night with friends! I had an amazing night and surely will be back. The place offers bowling space, cocktails, burgers and ice rink available. The food was great and fresh. Hamburgers and cocktails highly recommended. The staff were very kind and thoughtful. We’ll be back!!

Visited MEATliquor recently and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was buzzing, the food was delicious (those burgers and loaded fries are next-level), and the cocktails were spot on. What really made the night, though, was the incredible service from our waitress, Heloise. She was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations. Heloise went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the customer experience, and it made a real difference to our night. Highly recommend MEATliquor if you're after a fun, casual vibe with top-tier food and service. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully with Heloise looking after us again!

Took my two kids to MEATliquor Queensway for a treat after a long day out, and I couldn’t be more impressed. It’s not always easy eating out with little ones, but the staff made it a breeze, especially Konrad, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was patient, kind, and even helped one of them pick out a drink when they couldn’t decide. The food was delicious (the kids LOVED the monkey fingers), the atmosphere was fun without being overwhelming, and the service was genuinely outstanding. Thank you Konrad for making our visit so easy and enjoyable, we’ll definitely be back soon!

If you’re looking for a great burger, this is the place. It’s attached to a bowling alley, so I thought the venue may see the food as secondary to the bowling, but the food quality and service (from Dearness) are excellent. Also great prices.

Awful experience. The ambience is terrible - dark red lighting. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be a mood but it was giving me a headache. We literally had to use the light on our phones to read the menu! The food was extremely SALTY. Especially the buffalo. We did not pay for those items on the bill. There was so much Nashville hot dust on the chips it was burning my mouth and my chest - because of the salt not the spice! The service was all over the place, the food came out cold and they didn’t listen to specifics of the order. Would not recommend and would not go back!

Yelp
Ice-skating bowlers rejoice! What a great find this place is!! On our last night touring London, the hubs and I decided to check out this spot and were completely amazed to find a decent-sized rink and lots of bowling lanes, not to mention a bar and lots of restaurant seating. The hubs wanted to bowl, but they were slammed and didn't have any lanes available for well over an hour, which was no biggie--I decided to skate in the meantime. It's been YEARS since I rented ice skates, so I was a little nervous about what I would find. Thankfully, the rental skates fit fine and were much lighter than the ones I recall from the 90s. I was easily the oldest person at the rink, but it was super fun. While we were there, they had only half the rink available for skating (the other half was being used by amateur curlers who seemed to have no idea what they were doing but were clearly having fun), so skating was half price at £8.50. Not bad! Some skaters were holding hands, falling regularly, and generally obstructing traffic, but it wasn't too terrible and I was surprised that I skated for nearly an hour before my stomach started to tell me it was time to eat. After returning my skates, I checked out the bar where I ordered the Inedit Damm "spiced" lager at the bartender's suggestion. It wasn't at all what I would call spiced, but it was good enough, so I had two. It was almost time to bowl, but when I learned there was only a limited menu at the bowling lane that didn't include any of the dinner items that the hubs and I had been eyeing (delicious chicken wings/monkey fingers, fries, onion rings, fried pickles, hot dogs, etc.), I asked my friendly bartender if I could order take-away. He said no problem and then asked where I could be found when my order was ready. I sheepishly explained I'd be bowling and he said it was no trouble to bring it to us there. Great service! Bowling is a different story. It's quite pricey to bowl--about £20 for one game, no matter if you have one or four people. When I found the hubs at our lane, our names had already been entered on the screen by the front desk, so all we had to do was bowl. The bowling ball weights were in pounds, but all we could find were 6- and 10-pound balls (I prefer 8 lbs). Right away a server approached and the hubs ordered a white Russian milkshake. Hands-down the worst part of the night was that we had FINISHED our game and he still never received his drink! I felt so badly for him (also because I beat him pretty good in bowling and he could not cry in his drink because he didn't have one). We asked what the hold up was on the drink and learned the server never put in the order. WHAT?! Yeah, I got and finished the second beer I ordered but he got nothing. We wanted to play another game since we still had plenty of food to eat and he was waiting to get his first drink of the night, so I went to the front desk. Since there appeared to only be bowlers at every other lane, it seemed we'd be able to play another game right away (for another £20--ouch), but the front desk said it would be nearly another hour before the next open reservation. I went ahead and purchased the game since I didn't want to risk waiting any longer, but when I delivered the news to the hubs, he was bummed and we knew neither of us really had the energy to bowl another game when the morning alarm was going to be coming soon and the train to Heathrow was departing early. I got a little pushback from the front desk when I told them I'd have to cancel the second game, but the manager was friendly enough and recalled that I'd spent an hour on the ice before we got to bowl our first game, so he was somewhat sympathetic and gave me the refund with no issues. This place would do well to make the bowling more efficient and ensure bowlers are actually using their lanes at the appointed time. It seems wasteful that so many lanes were dark and empty while we sat there ready to play but couldn't. While I certainly had a fun night and would recommend you check out this spot, even if it plays to mostly a young local crowd, I recommend you temper expectations with the bowling and drink table service (the hubs was pretty ticked that the check included gratuity without our permission, especially with the serious screw-up).

Yelp
Both times I've been here has been around lunch and I've been the only customer on one occasion and one of two on another. Staff are friendly and efficient. The strong shakes are excellent. But the food somehow doesn't taste as good as at their Soho branch. Maybe it's just that it doesn't have the vibe. But neither the wings nor the dead hippie burger are what I remember from the soho branch. It is however a good option for burgers in Queensway - better than all the others in the area. Plus it's quiet in the afternoon as not too many people seem to know about it's location in the basement of the Queens bowling arcade.
