Loved the ambiance. Beautifully decorated. Quiet house music. Layla was politely attentive and welcoming. I have ordered beef shawarma over many years at many restaurants both in the US and Lebanon and have never had the meat very charred like it was here so that was a bit of a disappointment. I much prefer it to be tender all around. Portions generous and overall food delicious.

Google
Fabulous place with mouth watering dishes. Easy to make the appetizers into a shareable evening. Even my vegetarian friend had plenty to eat. Everything was cooked to perfection. Likely the most tender beef I’ve had in a while. A true must try place!

I had an amazing dining experience at Medi, thanks to our incredible server, Genesis! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Genesis provided top-notch service, checking in at just the right moments and offering great recommendations. She truly made our meal special with her kindness and professionalism. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend asking for Genesis if you want a fantastic dining experience!

When walking in, the decor is eye catching. Though the real treat is the family friendly vibe and treatment given by the staff. From Bismark service delicious Espresso Martinis to Hermiz who checked on us during the wraps. Make sure to ask for the garlic sauce and spicy sauce.

I recently had one of the best meals in a long time at Medi Chicago, and I can't recommend it enough! We started our evening during happy hour (4-6pm) with their well-crafted cocktails, which set the perfect tone for the night. For appetizers, we indulged in the Shrimp Harra and Spicy Lebanese Potatoes—both were delightful and bursting with flavor. For our entrees, we chose the Chicken Shawerma and Grilled Shrimp Skewer, and they did not disappoint! Each dish was freshly made and incredibly delicious. No meal is complete without dessert, so we treated ourselves to the Baklava Pistachio Cheesecake and the Cotton Candy Sundae. Both desserts were heavenly and the perfect way to end our dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing, making it the ideal spot for a girls' night out after a long week of traveling, doctor appointments, and work. Our server, Pedi, provided exceptional service and great recommendations, enhancing our overall experience. Overall, I would rate Medi Chicago a solid 10/10! It’s definitely on my list of places to return to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

Google
I literally can't remember a time I had a meal this good: from appetizers, entree, drinks, through dessert. Salad was the stand out for me. Our waitress Parise was just attentive enough without being overbearing. We came for a limited menu for restaurant week but we'll definitely be back to try more of this AMAZING menu. Best espresso martini I've ever had (and even cheaper during happy hour!)

Google
This place was great. It has a great vibe and the music is very good. The artwork on the walls is very good as well. The dessert I had was a cotton candy sundae and it was phenomenal our server Genesis recommended it and it was one of the best things I tasted.

Medi Restaurant in Lincoln Park is a true gem, bringing the rich flavors of its Lebanese roots to life. Under Elias’s expert management, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with seamless service. Our waitress, Paris, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our experience even more enjoyable. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The beef kabab was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the chicken shish tawook was juicy and full of flavor. The crispy potato borak was a delicious treat, and the fresh, zesty fatoosh salad added the perfect balance. With its welcoming ambiance, top-tier service, and authentic Lebanese flavors, Medi is a must-visit for Mediterranean food lovers!

Yelp
Came here for the second time and it was restaurant week! Great value and all of my favs were on the menu. Must try the potato bourak, the steak skewers, and cotton candy dessert. The quality is top notch and the atmosphere is modern and vibrant with cool music and staff. Genevieve our server was amazing and took care of us with much attention and made amazing recommendations!

Yelp
The ambiance completely elevated the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone for a relaxing evening. The décor is modern yet cozy, with just the right amount of lighting. The menu offers a fantastic selection of dishes, and I was especially impressed by the baba ghanoush, soujek, and sambousek beef- all of which are now my go-to favorites! Each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just looking to try something new, Medi has something for everyone.

Yelp
I am stuck between 3 and 4 stars for this one. Staff was awesome and loved how accommodating they were. Our res was for 8:30 but we didn't get sat until 9 but in exchange, our drinks were comped which I appreciated a lot. Food was great but nothing to rave about. I feel like I need to go back and give Medi a second chance because it has 5 star potential, restaurant week night 2 must've just taken them by storm a bit. Highlights: hummus, beef kabob, sambousek, potato borak, noora drink

Yelp
The food was very good- specifically the meats. The hummas was silky and delicious. The falafel is some of the best in the city. Came here for a very large party (30ish people- reservations were made in advance). Our party made up over half of the restaurant on a random weeknight, and the staff/chefs/bartenders were very overwhelmed. I think that coordinating with the guest who makes a reservation could've gone a long way for their service load and the overall guest experience (i.e.: a set/pre-fix menu). We opted to order and share plates, though this is not considered a family-style restaurant. However, it all still felt very overpriced for a single kebob on a plate that was 3/4 rice. Drinks were inconsistent in production (cocktails varied, despite being the same order) and delivery (lots of space between drink orders and water glasses frequently empty). hummus

Yelp
The website, menu, and sign outside on the sidewalk outside all say happy hour is from 4-6pm. We ordered everything within the alleged happy hour window. However, when the bill came, we were actually charged full price for everything. When we asked our server about it, we learned that the owners changed the happy hour window to only be from 4-5pm on Fridays, but have not changed the signage. It feels very slimy to advertise a happy hour window and provide us with happy hour menus but then charge full price when the bill comes. We will not be returning to Medi because of this. The spread trio and the potato borak were good, but the falafel wrap was just okay and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. We loved our waitress, she was excellent.

Yelp
An underrated spot in Lincoln Park for sure. Chicago definitely does Mediterranean food well & this place is no exception. Everything from the food and drinks to the service to the ambiance was perfect for our triple date. I tried the falafel, baba ghanoush, jajik, fattoush salad, and shish tawook. The flavors and textures were all spot on. Our server accommodated us by providing 1 extra falafel as there were 6 of us and the dish normally comes with 5 falafels. One critique I have is that the shish tawook doesn't come with any veggies - they are an additional cost. However, the grilled veggies were awesome. Everyone loved their cocktails as well. Additionally, a drink was spilt on one of my friends so they offered us all a free round of shots. Take a look at the pic of the interior to see how beautiful this place is as well!

Yelp
I was here for brunch and it was quite empty. I don't think this is a well known place for brunch, but it should be! The food was really good and the server was prompt and nice.

Yelp
Love Medi for a happy hour, dinner, or brunch! Their spreads platter is perfect for sharing, all of the dips are so tasty and come with perfectly warm, light, airy pita bread. The service is super friendly and the chef was so passionate and nice to meet. The drinks are equally as delicious - We loved the unique flavors and ingredients that pair well with their dishes. The cute decor and ambiance make it perfect for a group dinner or girls brunch!

Yelp
The food was very good. We had the soujek spread to start and it was delicious. The pita was so fresh and so soft. We then split the fattoush salad which was also very yummy. We also had the falafel which might have been my favorite dish and the chicken shawerma which was a bit dry but ok. Overall the food was very good, the service was a bit slow but not horrible. The ambiance was very lovely! Super cute decor and wonderful decorations. I also had the Elia cocktail which was delicious (but unassumingly strong ;) )

Yelp
Medi is a fun mid-scale Mediterranean restaurant. I went on a Thursday evening with no reservation and was able to get seated right away. The ambiance here is upscale and trendy. Large chandeliers, neon lights, floral wall, and huge pictures of Biggie, Tupac and others. The service here was fast and effective. I was dining alone so did not have the opportunity to connect personally with my service. However, the service was still attentive. For food I ordered: Potato Borak which is a deep fried potato started. The chipotle dipping sauce is what elevated this dish adding bold spice and flavor! Shawerma: Skirt steak which was delicately slices and seasoned to perfection. This was definitely a menu highlight. Served with rice, onions, cucumber and tomato salad. I topped my meal off with the garlic sauce which really additional garlic flavor which paired well with the steak. For drink I had the Fairouz which was tequila, passion fruit and lime. It was served in this glass pineapple which added a cute touch to the tasty cocktail. I enjoyed Medi a lot and cannot wait to get back there. Its perfect for a solo date, date night, night out with friends and more!

Yelp
This was an interesting one! So I was on the waitlist and was called immediately that my table was ready. However, I was still 20 min out so I asked if I could be placed on it again. I was told yes. I arrived 20 min later and was asked to wait to be seated. There were visibly empty tables and the "waiting" area is just in front of the door. We were then seated in the small section until 2 Seats at the bar opened Up. The small area was not comfortable, you could only sit on it with your legs crossed lol. Finally at the bar we were able to sit comfortably and order. The food was really good and so were the cocktails.

Yelp
Have been so excited to try Medi and finally experienced it for the first time. The food was delicious, everything came out hot and fresh. I loved the vibes of the place, and it was smaller than I expected. I did wish they gave a little more food for what you pay for! So worth it though!
google avatar

Gaz H.

Yelp
Come for the baba ganoush, stay for the kunafah. The kitchen performs admirably, competently churning out a limited number of dishes from a short menu. The kabobs seem to be the best choice of entree. The chicken shwarma has a sumac overload but its not bad once you get past that. Clean bathrooms. Friendly service. A bit of a date night bar scene going on, too.

Yelp
If you're looking for a unique brunch spot, look no further! Love Mediterranean food (& a cute aesthetic) and grabbing brunch at Medi was a great way to start the weekend. The space inside is adorable, and the service was very friendly (I went right when they opened around 11:30ish so still was not too crowded). The food & cocktails themselves were delicious! I asked my server for some recs and he delivered: got the babaganoush, hummus, and kafta as my main entree. Overall, recommend if you're looking for a cute brunch spot with some tasty Mediterranean cuisine

Yelp
I'd like to recommend this place and will someday come back to do so - just not during Chicago Restaurant Week. My daughters and I came on a freezing cold January Sunday for brunch. We were seated right away with a great window seat. So far, so good. But then our experience went south. Our server was the hostess as well and the place was PACKED so she was completely overwhelmed. We came in right before a group of 8 so we knew it was going to be a wait. We just didn't think it would be almost 2 hours. Our server got us drinks (coffee was a beautiful display and very good) as well as a shared appetizer platter (hummus, baba ghanoush, and jajik) which was delicious!! Really, really good except not enough pita. 3 people sharing a large platter need more than 5 small pieces of pita - lol. They did bring more when we asked it just took a little bit of time. We did not order off the special restaurant week menu so maybe that was part of the problem but we checked with our server multiple times and heck, even checked with busser and were promised our food was coming soon. Well after almost 2 hours I waked to bar and asked to speak to the manager. He was completely apologetic and felt terrible. It turns out our order was entered but somehow paper copy got jammed and never made it to the kitchen. Mistakes happen. I get it but still not a good situation especially since we checked multiple times on our meal. Our server was so thoughtful and kind so I hate to write a bad review. She brought us complimentary shots (too bad we weren't drinking-lol). Like I said, I'll come back and definitely will order the pistachio French toast and baba ghanoush. The food was great so I want to give Medi another chance. Oh and the manager did comp our meal so that was considerate.

Yelp
This place was okay. It's cool to check out once, I'm not sure if I'll come back. There's nothing bad about it, it was just okay. The service, drinks and ambiance are great! It's just the food was meh. I had the ellia as a drink and I really liked it. If I were to come back here it'd be for the drinks. I also had the mishmush spritz and that was tasty too! Unique and not your typical sweet spritz. It was very well balanced. The food was meh, my favorite part was the salad so I'm not sure that's saying much. Maybe it was a one off day but idk! If you're going to check this place out I highly recommend the drinks over everything
google avatar

Susan R.

Yelp
Food was not bad. Service was slow and we asked server for extra sauce for the lamb burger and the wanted to charge $3.00! Our bill was over $500 I think they could have given us an extra sauce for free! This why I would not be returning! Customer service lacking!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Food - the potato app was def the best thing we tried. The drinks were not that bad as well. I got the Spritz which had a cinnamon taste to it a bit. Meat to rice ratio for entrees was a bit generous. Would've like more meat but it was tasty. There was an issue with the first order, but the cook came out and apologized and they gave me a discount on my meal which I appreciated overall, they were very apologetic, and I would still go there again, despite the hiccup. The steak Schwarma was good! Ambiance - very nicely decorated. It is a bit dimly lit which I don't love. The bar area was very dark but the seating area was has more light.

Yelp
First time trying Medi kitchen I was visiting from california and wanted some amazing Mediterranean food! This place came up and I'm extremely happy I came in to try it! The baklava French toast is a 10/10 dish that I'll never forget! Truly amazing and so delicious. The mimosas and drinks I had were amazing and definitely recommend getting them since this place really knows how to make make their drinks! I ordered the beef kabob and it was delicious as well! The quality in my opinion really separates this place from other local competitors. I'd prefer less quantity with more quality! The service was amazing, ambiance was very urban/trendy. I will be excited to come back and give medi another run when I'm back in town! Definitely recommend! Cheers,

Yelp
Delicious and unique. Traveling through and decided to stop while shopping the neighborhood. Unique menu items for brunch. Couldn't resist the French toast. So do good. My friend had the falafel benni. She said it was wonderful. I had the French toast and I practically licked my plate clean. Beautiful little spot and wonderful service. Very relaxed. I would go back if I lived here.

Yelp
Brunch at MEDI was such a fun experience . Located in North Ave, Medi is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant serving Mediterranean food and drinks. I absolute loved the decor and vibe of this place. The host and server were so friendly and welcoming. We went on Sunday and were able to chose from both the lunch and brunch menu. We started with the Medi Cocktail and Arabian coffee. If you have never had Arabian coffee before, I highly recommend trying. It's light, flavorful and aromatic. The Medi cocktail was also refreshing and fun. We then tried the Jajik and Ful. Both the dips were excellent and went well with the pita bread. I like that the pita bread was not thick but thin and light. We then tried the Shish Tawook and Shawerma. I am obsessed with how good the Shish Tawook was, the chicken was perfectly grilled and so tender and moist. The rice accompanying it was also so delicious. The shawarma (beef steak) was also really good. Finally we ended our wonderful brunch with something sweet. The Baklava Cinnamon French Toast was the star dish, it was not overly sweet and tasted amazing. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu soon.

Yelp
Amazing Mediterranean restaurant in Lincoln Park. Owned by a Lebanese family with all family recipes made from scratch. Great cocktail list - definitely try The Date Went Sour. For starters, Soujek is very tender in a lightly spicy sauce. The Potato Borak were also very good. Fattoush salad is light and refreshing. The Beef kebab is a must. So tender and delicious. Ask for Naomi! She is great!
google avatar

Yelp
What a BEAUTIFUL cocktail lounge. Came here with a friend after eating dinner nearby and waited 10-15 minutes for seats at the bar. Customer service is fantastic here, especially our bartender Taylor. I could people watch and gawk at the interior design of Medi all day. Makes me want to design my future home in this style. Anyways, the original cocktail I wanted (Sabah Cobbler) was somehow unavailable, so I ordered something else. All the drinks we got were super boozy and tasty, though the humus and pita (which was super flat) were alright. Would prioritize coming here just for cocktails again. Definitely make reservations if you're coming for dinner or with a large group.

Yelp
Great food and drinks!!! Such a fun spot for a group dinner. Our waitress was so patient with us -- we could not decide what to order and she was so helpful giving us recommendations!!! Definitely stick to the kebabs over the shawarma!

Yelp
I recently tried this restaurant in the heart of Lincoln Park. It's one of those places that I've pasted by so many times, but never ventured in. I'm so glad that I did try it out. First, the atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. The highlight of decor and the is plants. While I think most of the plant life is faux, that doesn't take away from the great look. I felt that the plants with the white, exposed brick walls are a great look. Second, the cocktails are creative and fun. I ordered a cold brew old fashioned. This combines whisky and coffee, and it is literally my two favorite drinks in one. I highly recommend this drink. Third the food is very good. I ordered potato borak and soujek as appetizers, the beef kabab and chicken shawarma has main dishes and the vanilla ice cream with Middle Eastern cotton candy and kunafa for dessert. The beef kabab and chicken shawarma were good, but the highlights were the appetizers. If only because I've never had either potato borak and soujek before, they were my favorites of the night. The sausages and sauce of the soujek was flavorful with a nice shot of spice. The potato borak has a nice crispy wrapper and soft and yummy filling. I also enjoyed trying kunafa for that fist time. It was nice to find a Middle Eastern restaurant in Lincoln Park doing more that just kababs. Fourth, the service was very good. My waitress was friendly, listened to me and brought out the food quickly. In sum, this is a must visit restaurant in Lincoln Park.

Yelp
Medi Kitchen received pretty good reviews from Yelp. When Joseph suggested this place, I said why not? I thought the service rated an A. However, the food does not fair as well - just mediocre at best. I ordered the Falafel Benni. It came with 2 falafel, 2 eggs sunny side up and with just a cup of potatoes. The eggs looked and tasted runny. The pitas tasted cold - not warm at all. I expected more from this place. I felt disappointed. When we left Medi, I felt a bit hungry. Joseph ordered the beef shawarma. His plate looked full as opposed to mine. Mine looked more like an appetizer compared to his. The reviews said that this place recently opened. Medi Kitchen needs to work out the kinks. On the brighter side, the decor looked amazing and inspiring. The portraits of music legends Notorious B.I.G., Kirk Cobain, and Tupac hung over near the back. The food does not inspire much - It needs improvement.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
Drinks are fun and unique. Atmosphere is cool, but food was mediocre at best. The soujek was the star of the evening - everything else lacked flavor, spice, and... it just was not good. Not sure how long this has been open, I believe this place is newer, so they may be working out the kinks. Our server was sweet, but it took 3x to get our pita for the hummus and the soujek. Not the best experience. Glad we tried this place out, but I wouldn't come here again. This would be a good spot to meet people for drinks before going somewhere else for dinner.
google avatar

Siew Y.

Yelp
Delicious dishes and starters. See pictures. The dinner menu has a greater variety of options vs the lunch menu. Nevertheless, still good. Street parking was easy to find. I've been both during lunch and dinner hours- no problems looking for parking. Service was super during the dinner hour. However. When we went again during lunch hours, the server was not attentive at all. 1) She forgot our request after asking 3 times for extra sauce, so we gave up. 2) We wanted water refill and she didn't come back. 3) A few times, I tried to wave her over, she walked straight passed our table and headed to the back kitchen... quite rude. Paying by cash gives you a discount on the final bill. This is printed on the bill. We had a party of 8, so our lunch bill was not small change. Despite the service, we did give her appropriate tip.

Yelp
I had a 6:45pm reservation for a Thursday night and I was glad I made one. While there were open tables when we first arrived, they all quickly filled up by 7:30pm. They have a great list of cocktails, but we opted for beer and red wine. I asked the waitress for a bottle of the driest red on the menu. Before opening the bottle she kindly let me taste the wine which I very much appreciated. Our group ordered hummus and feta salad for starters and those 2 dishes were more than enough for our group of 3. For mains we ordered chicken schwarma and kafta. Both mains were delicious and fresh! The only small hiccup (that we didn't bring up because it wasn't that big of a deal) was that our mains came out before our starters. This is a very cozy restaurant and I would love to sit at the bar sometime. This was my first time eating at Medi and I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Phenomenal food and service. Friendly welcomed recommendations. No pictures because we were starving but the baba ganoush (I don't know how to spell it) was phenomenal. I'd go back just for that. Had a whiskey sour variation which I would also strongly recommend. We ordered the special of the day which was a fish dish but will have to return to try the normal menu.
google avatar

Yelp
I wouldn't say there is anything exceptional about this restaurants food, it was decent Mediterranean food that was flavored and cooked well (we got the hummus, feta salad and shawarma for two people to share). The atmosphere is cute, but really what made this experience was the staff. My friend and I were seated at the bar and the bartender was incredibly kind and engaged, she made the experience enjoyable despite the food just being a little underwhelming. Unfortunately I can't remember her name, but if you go here I recommend sitting at the bar!
google avatar

Yelp
Very commercial mediterranean restaurant. It has a nice looking interior and solid food. Nothing particularly had amazing flavor and was a standout, but everything was tasty. I came for lunch on a Sunday, it was empty. I ordered the hummus, pita, and shish tawook. The hummus and pita were large portions and filling, but I wish the chicken was hotter. Overall, it's basic mediterranean food for the price, but not particularly authentic.
google avatar

Sonia R.

Yelp
Great space! Always a great time. Service was great! Drinks amazing.... Only thing is the portions very very small, you get a ton of rice but only 1 skewer literally. If you are hungry def not the place, and as you can see we ordered every item in the menus as far as appetizer and even the sweets! If you are going on a cute date and your not trying to eat much this is the place.
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
I didn't take many pictures here but, my summary is, there are many neighborhoods this place would never survive in and they are a little bit lucky that their clientele don't seem to know better. This review is a bit harsh but that's on purpose because they can and should do better. The cocktail I had, which was the mishmush spritz (sp?) was really delicious and fantastic. Definitely recommend if you like floral and fruity and bright cocktails. The servings here are very small. Go to Kabobi or Noon O Kabab for the same prices, at least the same quality, and more generous servings. The thing that really annoyed me was when we ordered a second lamb skewer alongside our lamb plate (because we didn't really need more rice, sauce, or salad) and they charged $1 less than the entire entree. The potato salad was not good and the potatoes were grainy. The dolmas were fantastic and homemade and perfect. The falafel were only ok. Service was not great. Our server was super nice but there were really long gaps in service and they seemed very understaffed. I may try brunch here if the opportunity presents itself but so far, probably not a spot I'd return to.
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
Wow I don't have enough good things to say about Medi! We ordered a few to share (hummus, falafel, and potato borak) and two entrees (shawarma and lamb kabob) and it was more than enough delicious food for our group of 4 ladies. I would highly recommend the lamb kabob, it was my favorite of all the dishes we tried! The ambiance and decor are an added bonus - I love the aesthetic!

Yelp
Really happy to have tried this place! Cozy vibes. It's very affordable for the quality and the portions are solid. They have a fun drink menu and the staff is very friendly. 10/10 will be back again.

Yelp
Went for brunch on a Sunday and ordered the Arabic coffee, shish tawook, babaghanoush, jajik, and shakshouka. Loved the Arabic coffee, babaghanoush, jajik, and the ice cream topped with Turkish cotton candy (from the dessert menu). The shakshouka tasted good but tasted more like eggs w/ salsa than a shakshouka. I highly recommend the babaghanoush, jajik, Arabic coffee, and the ice cream with Turkish cotton candy! The restaurant seemed understaffed (so service was a bit slow) but our server was friendly and helpful. Parking is limited so prepare to park and walk a bit!

Yelp
ambiance & space: 4 service: 5 food: 3.8 cost: 3.5 i'd rate this one 3.5. overall. pretty good food, though i've generally had a lot of the same types of food at a few other favourite Turkish, Kurdish, and mediterranean spots around town that i've enjoyed more and perhaps haven't been as pricey. the cocktail was good (their take on the daiquiri) and the bartender and waitress was pretty stellar and she had great recommendations. the soujek was probably my favourite of the dishes we got. and the knafeh was pretty fantastic! will try it again for some of the other plates on the menu and see if some other items might change my overall rating!

Yelp
Service was snail pace. We ordered a Meze appetizer which basically is platter of hummus/ Baba ghanoush which is premade but it took close to 45 minutes to bring to the table The lunch was good nothing great, drinks were below average, the kabobs was just one skewer with rice Not really worth the wait - said kitchen was backed up but restaurant was almost empty disappointing

Yelp
Brunch review of this cute small restaurant with very well done decor and well spaced tables. They full leaned into the middle eastern vibe both in their menu down to their utensils. The service was great. The food was executed well nailing the flavors perfectly. One person ordered the Shakshuka which was spiced well and a hearty stew consistency and came with endless warm pita bread. We also had the Shish Tawook which was perfectly tender chicken and a bed of rice. We also had the tea-quila cocktail which is presented in a fun way sticking to the vibe, using a teapot and tea cups. I would highly recommend if you're in the Lincoln park area.

Yelp
Obsessed with this Mediterranean place! The food is such large portions and so so flavorful. The house shots doesn't even taste like shots! It's so refreshing! The service here is impeccable too! Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Overview: I would recommend coming to have dinner here- food was enjoyable but service was slow (I didn't mind because I was catching up with friends). They do spell shawarma wrong but I won't hold that against them. Drinks: -I tried the spritiz and it was delicious and the turmeric added a unique, warm flavor and I loved it! Food: -hummus: standard, good but nothing special. It came with "pita bread" but it was thin, flavorless, floppy and meh. They should have a better bread to dip in the hummus as a Mediterranean restaurant -feta salad: was delicious, simple and would order again. Wish they offered the chicken or lamb to be added to this salad -lamb kabob: the lamb was cooked perfectly and the tzatziki sauce was great and rice was seasoned well -chicken shawarma: was juicy, seasoned well and I would get this dish again. It came with a garlic sauce which I loved but my friend who is more sensitive to garlic forward sauces felt it was too harsh/strong

Yelp
I have passed by this establishment many times and finally made a visit with a friend for a Saturday evening summer dinner. The ambience was exquisite -- music at a reasonable volume, lighting vibrant enough to see your fellow dining guests, and décor absolutely stunning. We were offered unique seating in the back that enhanced the dining experience. We asked our waiter for recommendations on drinks and an appetizer to split and ended up loving everything! We shared the potato borak -- a satisfyingly crispy and light introduction to the meal -- and both ordered the Fairouz to drink and it did not disappoint -- a great blend of sweet and refreshing topped with a sweet gerber daisy. My friend ordered the shish tawook and I ordered the chicken shawerma. Both serving sizes were more than enough and came with tasty rice and sides of a garlic cream and chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. All around a wonderful evening!

Yelp
This place is one of the first Mediterranean restaurants in chicago that I've tried and I've already gone more than once, just having recently moved here. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful. There isn't a lot of space for big parties, but nevertheless it's a great space. There isn't any outdoor seating but the location of the restaurant is great! The first time I went I got the tabouleh, dolma, and hummus. It was absolutely delicious. The tabouleh was honestly some of the best I've had. It was so crisp and crunchy. It was delicious. The second time I came I tried the chicken kabob and it was so good! It came with a whipped garlic sauce on the side that was delicious! I also shared the fattoush salad with my friend and it also didn't disappoint. Everything I've tried here has been delicious! Will be back for another round soon!

Yelp
The food is pretty tasty, the decor is gorgeous, but the service can be a bit slow. I think the menu is pretty standard mediterranean fare but it could use more fish options (no salmon or shrimp or anything of the like). The dinner menu highlights include the hummus, baba ganoush, and chicken shawarma. The lamb/beef kefta was ok. The wait staff was very kind although it did take a while to get drinks and food (but on the flip side we did get complimentary shots at the end of our meal). I am not sure if I would return but it was definitely an enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Service was actually pretty good - which is why I'm giving two stars. Food was not very good and I am guessing brunch is not their forte. They couldn't do egg whites for my friend. Then someone else asked for scrambled eggs and they said they couldn't do that either, but could do them "however we want" just apparently not egg whites or scrambled? A couple folks ordered over hard. When they brought it all out each meal was over hard ... probably the most cooked eggs I've ever seen. In addition to this, the food was bland. Such a bummer. Do not recommend at all.

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit here! Came on a Wednesday night and even though my friend made a reservation we were seated at the bar due to a large party. We ordered the hummus and tabbouleh to start. Both were good but the pita bread was a little thin for my preference. For my main I ordered the kafta which came with rice. The rice was buttery and delicious and the Kafta was good too. The place has a cool atmosphere but can get a little loud when it's busy!
