Google
Love this little restaurant. It has a relaxed, almost chill vibe. The food is excellent, fresh, crisp, hot and flavorful. I mentioned my gluten intolerance and the owner keyed in and helped me make good choices

Google
We loved our lunch at the cafe. Pay and order upfront and then they bring out your order. Their Gyro platter was really amazing. I would cut the meet thicker as some pieces were too thin. We tried their homemade Giardiniera minced. It was great and i recommend it.

Google
The food at Mediterranean Café is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite was delicious, and it’s the kind of place you’d come back to just for the food alone. That said, I couldn’t help but feel a little uncomfortable inside the café. As a Black customer, the environment didn’t feel particularly welcoming. There wasn’t any overt issue, but the energy was off enough that I chose to enjoy my meal outside, across the street. And honestly, the food was so good, it still made for a satisfying experience. I’d recommend the café for the food, no question — just sharing my full experience in case it helps someone else feel more prepared

Google
Quiet Friday day-after-Christmas lunch, perfect service and just as delicious as fifteen years ago (maybe better, even!!), would give 6 stars if I could!

Christina R.

Google
I stumbled across this place and was glad I did. I got a to go order and can't wait to try it. The falafel appetizer had a little spice to it and it's delicious.

Ryan R.

Google
This is a great Mediterranean café, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and really good food. The gyro was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was quick and attentive, and the prices are very fair for the quality and portions. Overall, a comfortable spot with great food and good value. I’ll definitely be back. Update- left my phone on the table and they ran down the street to bring it to me. That’s above and beyond!

Google
I use to come here with my brother strictly for gyros!! He unfortunately passed and I couldn’t bring myself to come back alone. Years have past and I still see these people open and the reviews were still awesome. I finally got myself to go in. The food was hot and fresh! The service was amazing. It seemed family oriented and I personally love that. I needed extra sauce and they were so happy to get me whatever I needed. I never mentioned my brother but the vibe was there. He was there. I felt it. Still amazing business with quality food! My brother would be so happy. It may sound dumb to some but to us. This place was the bees knees and still is! Happy I let the past be the past and came in for some great food. Parking is a headache but definitely worth it.

Google
The MOST delicious meat I’ve tasted in a while— the chicken was so juicy it was leaking while cutting it for my little one. Highly recommend and such kind staff! We will definitely be back

Yelp
Affordable, timely, and delicious--there is no trifecta more powerful or rare for a restaurant in my book; and yet the unassuming Med Cafe nails all three and does so without any gimmick. Expect a friendly face behind the counter when you walk in and a no-frills environment to simply enjoy one of the best cuisines out there. The food? Yum in my tum. I'd been craving Greek food for a few weeks and I'm so glad this is where I finally got my treat. I hope you'll soon get yours too.

Yelp
You've got to come here if in the area. The Gyro pita was well seasoned with a perfect balance of tzatziki, feta and veggies. Just perfect!!
google avatar

Carol W.

Yelp
Nice server, cozy ambiance, delicious gyro. Hot, seasoned fries. Great place. The gyro meat was thinly sliced (I like that) and abundant.

Amanda F.

Yelp
I live right up the street from this place, and it's my favorite food spot in the Springs! I go anytime I have a day off from work. The food is amazing, and the owner is so kind. Everything is delicious, and they always give you great value for your money. I highly recommend the harissa sauce on their pitas--absolutely delicious!!

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday drive to the Springs. The food was great, the service impeccable and the place has just the right mix of funky vibes and the love of making great food for people. The gentleman behind the counter was professional, friendly and sincerely wanted you to be happy and fed. This place will be a stop on every trip to the Springs going forward.

Yelp
The food is fresh, not overly salty, flavorful, and prepared with skill to look appealing. Highly recommend the gyro and Greek salad for a quick lunch.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Great service and good price. Good food and lunch options for a quick bite. Quick turnaround on orders.

Yelp
Delicious Mediterranean food! We came here right when we made our way into Colorado Springs. Staff was super friendly, plenty of seating, plenty of menu options. Clean! I got the falafel pita and loved it. My husband enjoyed his chicken gyro and my mother in law and tons of amazing things to say about the soup of the week - roasted cauliflower! Reasonably priced too which we loved.

Monica W.

Yelp
The food was extremely tasty and fresh. I got the vegetarian plate! Would highly recommend this spot as the food is nourishing and the staff is friendly. He brought out silverware, offered to get me water, checked in on me and also took my plate. So nice.

Karen B.

Yelp
Food and service is always great here! Would go more often if we were closer to downtown.

Yelp
I was in Colorado Sprints to visit family and we stopped here for lunch one day. We ordered the Mezze for our ap', humus, harissa, and baba ganoush were our flavors. For our meal, we ended up all getting the Gyro Sandwich, it was hands down the best gyro I've ever had, the tzatziki was on point! The service was also excellent! The owner waited on us hand and foot and he was so polite and friendly. The ambiance was cozy. I enjoyed it for its homey and no thrills environment.
google avatar

Stu D.

Yelp
My favorite downtown hole-in-the-wall. Love the food, love the guys working the counter, and live the east in-and-out. Can't beat this place!
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Since we moved here we've been disappointed in the Greek/Mediterranean food options until now. We tried it for the first time yesterday and we found what we were looking for! Everything was wonderful!
google avatar

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Delicious food and excellent service! Highly recommend adding this spot while visiting Manitou Springs.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
We stopped in here to grab a quick lunch to go and we're SO glad we did. The service was speedy and friendly and the food was even better! We got the vegetarian platter, chicken gyro sandwich and an order of fries. It was all delicious! So many flavors and sauces I couldn't get enough. We can't wait to eat here again.

Bridget T.

Yelp
Food was fresh and flavorful. We had Gyro plate, Greek salad, dolmas and falafel. They also serve a small variety of beer and wine. Servicewalk up in order and they will take your prepared food to your table. Guy at the front was most pleasant and helpful. Appears this café has many regulars and is comfortable and quaint to dine in.
google avatar

R F.

Yelp
Food is alright, enough to fill you up if you're hungry but not something you'll go out of your way for. The lamb gyro is not recommended. Menu lists lamb but the sliced meat has the consistency of luncheon meat--not the actual meat with fibers. Mediterranean salad is okay. Grilled chicken was a bit dry. Service was pretty good. Place was relatively clean and quaint.

Kip M.

Yelp
This is the best falafel I've had on this side of the Atlantic. If you want good service, amazing food, and a chill vibe come here for sure
google avatar

T C.

Yelp
Absolute must try in the downtown area. Their dolmas are the best I've ever had! Plus, you can't go wrong with $3.75 for local beers.
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
I am Arabic and love Arabic food so I saw the sign said Jerusalem hummus and I got excited. I went in around 2 and I ordered the veggie plate (hummus, falafel, rice, tabbouleh, domas,etc.). The price was reasonable for the amount of food, however the quality of food wasn't really there. The domas did not taste fresh at all, the fattoush wasn't really how you make fattoush. The falafels tasted like the mix I buy from the store and make at home. I wanted to like this place but I can confidently say that I probably won't be going there again. And if you decide to go, I would go earlier in the day...maybe the food is fresher then.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
The best Falafel and Baklava! Staff was super friendly. One of the best Mediterranean meals I have ever had.

Lakshmi H.

Yelp
I live in the Denver area, so unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to visit nearly as often as I'd like to. After searching for vegan friendly restaurants in CS, we stopped in, not expecting to be surprised by a veggie platter or falafel wrap, but this place is next level. The Super Felafel Wrap is my favorite, with the unexpectedly delicious addition of pickle bits. No overcooked, dried out felafel here, just perfect crunchiness outside, combined with a moist interior. My husband, who has long thought he hated stuffed grape leaves, has been converted. They are wonderfully tender and flavorful. My sister refers to their spanakopita as her soul food. Several other family members highly recommend the gyros wraps and platters, as well as the chicken shawarma. You pretty much can't miss with whatever you order. This place is wonderful!

Yelp
This place is soooo good.we were greeted super friendly, they had patience, and were very attentive to us. Place was nice , and clean . I haven't had a lamb gyro in forever so this treat really hit the spot! Yum!

Yelp
I have not been to the Mediterranean Cafe in many years. I used to go to their Citadel Mall location many years ago but it closed a long time ago. I was working near Powers Blvd and it was a long trek for lunch to come downtown. I had forgotten how delicious the food was. I had the small portion of hummus. It was delicious. It had a creamy consistency with a good mix of chickpeas, sesame seed paste and lemon juice. The pita bread was soft, warm and fresh. I had the half and half pita sandwich with half lamb/beef gyros meat and half falafel balls. The pita bread fresh but firm enough so it did not fall apart while eating it. The sandwich had a yogurt based sauce in it along with many fresh vegetables. It was a huge sandwich and delicious. The meat excellent and the falafel even better. They now have harissa hot sauce (a North African condiment). The iced tea was a lemon herbal tea and delicious.

Laney M.

Yelp
ordered take-out the other night: falafel, Vegetarian platter and a gyro platter. It was ready on time. Everything was delicious! Cold salads, hummus, best falafel outside of Jerusalem (have eaten it there!) and the gyro meat was perfect. We will definitely be back and are lucky it's just around the corner

Yelp
So delicious and fresh! Love to eat here. Local and healthy options for everyone. Highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Great affordable lunch spot downtown. We all loved our food and the serving sizes were quite large. Order at the counter and they will bring it to you at a table. The place is small, but carryout is also available. I highly recommend the lamb kebab plate. The lamb is grilled to medium and so flavorful and tender. It comes with rice, salad, pita and bread with hummus and tzatziki sauce.
google avatar

Bryanna P.

Yelp
I wanted this to be good but it missed the mark. The gal at the counter who was also our server was great and very sweet, she did a great job being the only one taking orders, serving food, and busing the tables. The food on the other hand, well it is the least authentic Mediterranean food I have ever had. We started off with the dip platter that had on it the red pepper humus, regular humus, and tzatziki sauce. The humus's were good, but the tzatziki was way off not enough cucumber or dill, no flavor. Also ordered a small order of falafel, they were very small and very over cooked. My husband & daughter ordered the lamb kabob plate, with the lamb to be cooked medium rare. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, and our son went with the chicken pita. Everything was overcooked, the chicken was hard and chewy and the lamb was way over done one piece was like brick. Our son did enjoy his chicken pita, so there was that. Not sure what happened here, and they didn't make a fan out of me.

Yelp
Really good! Fresh, flavorful and good value. If the Fiery Cauliflower is available don't pass on it - it was outstanding!! Super friendly staff, too .
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
Came in from out of town. Thought we'd try something new. Got the gyro platter. 10/10 would definitely get this again when we're back in the Springs.

Michael K.

Yelp
The food and service is great. I would definitely recommend eating here. I haven't had a gyro this good in years. The restaurant was also very clean and had a nice vibe to it.
google avatar

Adam A.

Yelp
Showed up at 3:40. Supposed to be open till 4, yet already say they are closed. Don't advertise hours that you can't live up to. The response I got from the worker behind the counter was, "We've been here all afternoon." Unreal.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Solid option for good Mediterranean food at a reasonable price. Had to park in a garage across the street. Staff was helpful and friendly and there was some neat artwork on the walls. That said, the inside looked a bit rough around the edges.
google avatar

C H.

Yelp
Very rude customer service. To start off I had to call 10+ times to even get someone to answer. When I finally got a hold of someone the rude lady on the phone told me to call back in 15 minutes as she could not take my order. I proceeded to say why not? She said because I am extremely busy so call back in 15 minutes then hung up. She should be ashamed of herself to not even have etiquette to say sorry would would mind holding for a little bit and I will be back with you. I will never go back and will take my services else where.

Drew V.

Yelp
I have been enjoying the food here for years. The food is very good and the service is excellent. I wish they had later hours because it is often difficult for me to get there during the lunch time.

Noelle D.

Yelp
So fresh! Best Mediterranean food I have had in a long time. The vegetarian platter is a must order.
google avatar

Dave R.

Yelp
What a find!...Forget the chains, this place is great, and I kick myself for never trying it before. No Frills.....Nothing fancy. I have been doing business in the springs for nearly 20 years and finally tried it yesterday and will definitely be back. Try the Giro Platter....You won't go away hungry
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
We were on a road trip back to my home state of tx and decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews. My chicken Kabob was not cooked thoroughly, I let the cashier know and he promptly took it to the kitchen. The humus was not very flavorful, and it was warmer than I'd like. The rice was really good. Fries were crispy, the tzatziki sauce was runny and bland. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but for the price, I expected more flavor. Didn't even take pics cuz the food was uninspiring ‍
google avatar

Tim K.

Yelp
Quite possibly my favorite place to eat when I'm downtown. Their gyro meat is sliced nice and thick unlike anywhere else you might go. I don't know why anyone would slice gyro meat paper thin. This doesn't make sense to me. Gyros, falafel, and the gyro salad are my go to's here. The only negative thing I have to say about Mediterranean Cafe is that their prices are climbing. Paying $10+ for a salad (no matter how good) is hard to force myself to do. And so is paying $6 for a gyro. Please please please bring your prices back down!!!

Sam H.

Yelp
This experience was wonderful. I have some food allergies and I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. Ronald and his staff were very accommodating to my allergies and made sure that I was going to be safe. When I actually got the food it was delicious! Highly recommend coming here. Great service, nice people, great food. What more can you ask for.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Best and freshest food I have had in Colorado Springs. There is something for everyone even if you have never eaten Mediterranean food before. By the time you try something after your fix of Gyros then you will be doubly hooked forever. Atmosphere-relaxed, laid back, and calming. Service-counter. Quick for lunch, no time wasted on unnecessary chit chat. Great for people who don't have the time or want to waste it. At night there is the same menu and the nicest server who works the counter. Anyone who likes Gyros should go here, anyone who hasn't tried a Gyros will be permanently disappointed by any others they try. Staff is ubersexual-attractive!

Maria M.

Yelp
If you have any type of salt sensitivity (either flavor-wise or dietary), I unfortunately can't recommend this restaurant. I found almost everything to be way over-salted, from their rice to their pitas to their tzatziki sauce. A big let-down on a $30 lunch for two after reading such good reviews online.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
Low key, relaxed and comfortable. I found out this spot has been around 20 years and I can see why! This was the best falafel I have ever had. Delicious pita, salads, gyros and more!
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Mediterranean Cafe is probably my top choice for Mediterranean food in Colorado Springs, but I've certainly had better. All of our food was fresh and came out quickly. It seems that there was some sort of spice missing from the food that made it just "good". I can't speak on if their meat dishes were more flavorful. I like the easy to get to location of this place. There is usually parking out front. (The few times I've been here) There has only been a few people here each time I've been. I'd recommend giving this place a try!
google avatar

Zamara A.

Yelp
Good place! I'm glad we ate here while visiting family. My husband and I asked for a gyro with lamb meat and a baklava. The gyro was good, the meat was fresh and served with a generous portion. I really liked the baklava since it wasn't extremely sweet. I will definitely stop by if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Regina G.

Yelp
This little gem is tucked downtown and if not careful you could walk right past it. Friendly service, clean, and great falafels served with hot pita bread and fresh hummus.

brittany h.

Yelp
Freshly prepared food in a fun atmosphere. Good, downtown spot. Everything is delicious
google avatar

Valerie F.

Yelp
I come here with my family all the time, and it is always good. If I am feeling meatless, their vegetarian platter hits the spot, and their spanakopita is one of my favorites ever! They also have an awesome salad by the pound option, where you can choose salads, dips, veggies, fruits, etc. to make up your plate. However, on the occasions when I am craving chicken, the kabob is always perfectly cooked.
google avatar

Dameon S.

Yelp
Wow. Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had! Falafel balls were awesome and the dolmas had a super fresh flavor. The gyro was beyond awesome. I demolished it after already being full! Your breath may not thank you afterwards, but your belly will!!
