The 7 Best New Restaurants to Try This Winter | Bon Appétit

"When SheWolf Pastificio & Bar opened in 2018 in Detroit’s Cass Corridor, it quickly became a destination for Roman fare and housemade pastas. Chef-owner Anthony Lombardo and team are now turning their attention to Sicily with the opening of Medusa, a seafood-forward restaurant just down the street from SheWolf. Diners can share seafood pastas like pasta con le sarde, street food bites like sfincione (a Sicilian deep-dish pizza with anchovy), and panelle (chickpea crisps). There are large plates like a whole grilled branzino, a glazed lamb shank, and a breaded wagyu strip steak for carnivores. To drink, the wine list spotlights various Mediterranean winemaking regions and cocktails are largely citrus-heavy and amaro-based." - ByKate Kassin

Medusa Detroit was amazing. They are kind and accepting and made me feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anybody in the LGBTQ+ community looking for an accepting space.

The salon experience here is so wonderful -- it's comfortable, fun, and D'Anna and Harper both do wonderful work. I've had manicures and a pedicure here, and I really can't say enough good things about Medusa Detroit. Go! You won't regret it.

I can't say enough how much I love Harper & D'Anna for my nail care @ Medusa Detroit. I get gel manis & reg polish pedis & have zero issues. No question that everything touching my nails is sanitized & clean. I have never been so happy w my nail techs. Also - they do some incredible nail art! Highly recommend.

Medusa Detroit is such an inviting space for cis and queer people alike. A queer owned space with a welcoming environment from the decor to the personable owners! I'm not afraid to play around with my softer sides and the chats with Harper and D'anna are always entertaining. The new services are excellent and I know when I go I will be genuinely taken care of.
