Medusa Greek Taverna in Park Slope is a lively, neon-lit haven offering a vast menu of Greek staples, late-night bites, and a vibrant happy hour.
"The Deal: $25 for 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas, beer, or wine with purchase of entree, or $35 for additional unlimited drink options like sangria, Greek margaritas, and frosé Medusa Greek Taverna is a loud, neon-lit party in Park Slope, where you can ice out your hangover with frozen blue Greek margaritas. The special brunch concoction involves ouzo, tequila, triple sec, and curacao, and it’s the sort of drink that’ll have you requesting LMFAO songs from a decade ago. Try to get a seat out front and order some Greek shakshuka to help slow your roll." - neha talreja, bryan kim
"Medusa, one of our favorite late-night Greek spots, has a lobster gyro, and though there’s no lobster on a spit here, this is still exciting news. A generous serving of chilled lobster salad, mixed in with herbed mayo, celery and Old Bay, is slathered onto a hot buttery pita, topped with crunchy red cabbage, a squirt of tzatziki, and some tomato. It’s flavorful, hearty, and further confirmation that when it comes to seafood, Greek restaurants really know what they’re doing." - willa moore, bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, neha talreja
"Gathering place before and after the annual Brooklyn Pride Parade, Medusa mounts a classic Greek taverna menu of meze, dips, salads, gyro platters, and kebabs, then throws in cocktails, brunch, and happy hour. There are two fireplaces inside with cozy sofas, and a terrace outdoors where a free BBQ happens every Sunday." - Eater Staff
"This Park Slope restaurant is a neon-lit party where you can order from a menu that has over 100 options on it, from gyros to full platters of biftekia. It’s hard not to be skeptical of a menu that large, especially when the kitchen is open until 2am four nights a week, but Medusa holds itself up to a high standard. Come for a midnight order of branzino, or stop by for some late-night beet hummus and beef-stuffed grape leaves that will make for great leftovers the following morning. "Medusa Greek Taverna, whose owners are gay and Latino, is a neon-glow party where you can order from a menu with over 100 options. Despite having a huge menu, and a kitchen that’s open until 2am four nights a week, Medusa still maintains high standards for their gyros and platters of biftekia. This Park Slope spot is also open all day, and its impressive consistency should give you the confidence to try some less typical options, like the lobster roll gyro and Greek mac and cheese." - Kenny Yang, Carina Finn Koeppicus, Bryan Kim, Neha Talreja, Nikko Duren
