"The menu offers many Cantonese dishes, but steamed minced beef patty with dried mandarin peel, and Yu Xiang eggplant in claypot stand out in particular. Better still, all mains come with complimentary rice, soup and dessert. Their famous hot pots spoil diners with an array of soup bases and good quality ingredients. Those who prefer a little privacy will appreciate the booth seating with sliding screens as dividers." - Michelin Inspector

Loved their soup base for hotpot! Definitely recommend ordering their $699 seafood combos with their ChaoZhou clam soup base. Didn’t even know they are on the Michelin guide before visiting! What a bonus!

My friend organized a birthday hot pot dinner for me and it was soooooo Good! The food was really really fresh and the they were top quality. It's a great place for larger crowds.....because we can order more dishes I will definitely go back again....brave...

The food was good. It is mostly dependent on the dipping sauce you mix for yourself. We had multiple tables but the person serving our tables was disorganized and delivered the wrong items to the wrong tables. And most tables did not receive all the dishes they ordered. This may have been a fluke.

This is a really nice place for a relaxed dinner of great quality and value. The service was really nice, staff was friendly, helpful and attentative. The meat was absolutely top notch, and the soup bases tasted amazing. The kids were really happy as well, can only recommend this place.

As hot pot goes, this is the best. The ingredients are noticeably better than you get elsewhere. The flavour of the soups are pretty average. The best thing is, even after eating your fill here, you’re not left with that classic hot pot “overdone” feeling. The food light, fresh and tasty. The prices are pretty steep as it works out about $800 a head. But you definitely get that added extra for your money.

Great hot pot restaurant in Wan Chai. Quality of the food is very good. I did not have that usual bloated feeling or the usual MSG-overdose kind of discomfort after a hot pot meal. Service is very good too!

The service at this restaurant was exceptionally poor. While refilling our soup, the staff member spilled it on us. When our two-year-old child dropped something under the table, we asked the server to pick it up—since we were holding our toddler and couldn’t do it ourselves—but she refused. Later, when I went to the front desk to pay, I had to wait quite a while for someone to verify my coupon. I informed the female staffer at the counter that she could come to our table once she was available, but she responded with a very rude eye-roll. Perhaps because we were speaking Mandarin, we felt discriminated against—it’s disheartening to experience such treatment from fellow Asians. This was by far the worst service I have ever encountered.

The service here is painfully slow – the slowest hotpot experience I’ve ever had. Our order was missed, the sea food didn’t taste fresh, and overall, it was a disappointing meal. With so many better options out there, this place simply fails to live up to the hype. Not worth the money.

Yelp
Really good spot for hot pot in Wanchai. Fancier than I expected. We came on a Sunday evening and had a reserved private room. Honestly it didn't really matter too much since the restaurant was not very full but we are loud, rowdy bunch so I suppose it was good that we not bother the others too much. There were so many delicious items to choose from for our hot pot! We just elected one from our group to make the selections. We had beef, lamb, tofu skin, the veggie platter, beef meatballs, lotus root, umm...probably more that I can't even recall. Everything was very fresh and more importantly, was very tasty. We had two giant cauldrons of split broth - both spicy and mild - one for each side of the giant table. We also shares giant bottles of beer and soda. Our total came to about $400 + 10% tip HKD a person (7 people) based on what we ordered which for as tasty as it was, I'm a-ok with. If you're looking for a quick, cheaper version of hot pot, Megan's might not be for you. But then again, you might just have to adjust how much you order.
