Megobari Cafe Review (200 words)
As soon as you walk into Megobari Cafe, the warm and cozy ambiance immediately sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The interior feels inviting and authentic, and even the bathroom is impressively decorated—clearly, attention to detail matters here.
We started with the pkhali assortment, which was just okay for my taste—I’d give it a 5/10. But things took a sharp turn for the better with the soups. The kharcho was absolutely bursting with flavor—rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. A solid 10/10. The borscht soup was also enjoyable with a nice tang and balance—I’d rate it 8/10.
Then came the Adjarian khachapuri—a showstopper. The gooey cheese, the runny yolk, and the crispy bread all combined into a dish that left us speechless. Easily a 10/10.
We finished with khinkali—one order with beef and one with cheese. The beef was the star: juicy, flavorful, wrapped in thin, delicate dough. Another 10/10. The cheese version didn’t quite hit the mark for me—I’d say 3/10.
Overall, Megobari Cafe is a hidden gem in Northeast Philly. Authentic Georgian flavors, cozy vibes, and standout dishes make it well worth a visit—I’ll definitely be back!
