The Best Restaurants At Westfield Century City, Ranked - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"You can find pretty much anything inside this 1,300,000-sq. ft. shopping mall, including some of the best peking duck outside the SGV. Meizhou Dongpo is a Beijing-based restaurant that serves a plump, glossy $89 duck that comes neatly sliced on a cute duck-shaped platter. It also serves as a beautiful centerpiece for all of the spicy, lip-tingling things you can surround it with, like poached sliced beef swimming in bright red chili oil and fried chicken coated in a mountain of Sichuan peppercorns. It’s an outrageous (and incredible) meal to have next door to an AMC, but it’s what we need after untangling ourselves from the H&M sales rack." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

The Best Restaurants In Century City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Spend enough time tangled in sweaters at the H&M sales rack and you'll need to decompress with a good meal at Westfield Century City before navigating that maze of a parking structure. Go to Meizhou Dongpo, a Beijing-based chain that makes some of the best Peking duck outside the SGV. It gets carved up by a chef tableside. We usually throw in some dan dan noodles and spicy chili chicken covered in Sichuan peppercorns and call it a day." - sylvio martins, brant cox, nikko duren

The 6 Best Restaurants For Peking Duck In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Eating an entire peking duck at the mall sounds equal parts outrageous and incredible (because it is). Meizhou Dongpo is a place to partake in such luxuries. Located inside the Westfield Century Mall, this Beijing-based restaurant serves a whole duck for $89, which comes neatly sliced on a cute duck-shaped platter. The meat is plump, and the glossy, deeply browned skin crackles in your mouth. It’s an indulgent meal that easily beats any food court option, so consider splurging on a whole duck before a night at AMC." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

Google
Plenty of parking but can be crowded, especially on the weekend. Fantastic service from the server, details and attentive. The foods are very tasty and fresh. The duck sliced right in front of you and well plated. Great dinner overall.

Google
I can’t say this is the best Peking duck — more like the Peking duck that lives down the street and is just good enough when I’m too lazy to drive further. The food is a solid three stars, the service is fine, nothing outstanding. I keep coming back though, mostly because it’s within walking distance. Sometimes it surprises me in a good way, other times I wonder if the chef is on vacation and left his cousin in charge.

Google
I suspect the pork belly and orange chicken would have made this a 5/5 for me. Eggplant in chili garlic sauce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - little sweet which concerned me, but it was delicious Wok fried string beans ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - crisp, not soggy - flavorful Sichuan dumplings ⭐⭐⭐ - my bf didn't like the sauce - it isn't a dumpling spot, probably not the best move tbh - but the skin and meat was good Hot chili poached sliced beef⭐⭐ - too oily - wouldn't reorder - like the greens Half duck ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - like the crisp skin- was melting in my mouth and crispy at the same time - loved the accompaniments

That day was my son's birthday, and every meals are very good. But any severs can't understand speaking English. It is difficult to communicate with non-Chinese customers.

Google
The service was very attentive, the food was incredibly flavorful, and the interior was beautifully decorated. I could tell that each dish was prepared to order and served very fresh. We had the roasted duck, mapo tofu, cucumber salad, eggplant, green beans, spicy chicken, and Dan Dan noodles. The roasted duck takes much longer to prepare than the other dishes, so it will probably come out after the other dishes, but that is the nature of the dish when it is freshly prepared. I would recommend coming here with a larger group so you can try a larger variety of dishes. Overall, I had a great experience

Google
好评: ⸻ I had an amazing dining experience at this Chinese restaurant. Every dish was full of authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with real skill. The portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. My favorites were the stir-fried noodles and the spicy beef — both incredibly delicious. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place you can visit for a casual meal or bring friends for a special dinner. I will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Google
This is an incredibly authentic Sichuan restaurant! We used to eat at this chain often when we were living in China, where they have many locations. We were so surprised and excited to find one here in Irvine! The service is warm and welcoming, and the flavors are just as authentic as we remembered from China. Highly recommend trying it out — make sure to order the Peking Duck, Mapo Tofu, and Bang Bang Chicken. They may look spicy, but they are actually rich in flavor and absolutely delicious!

Jiae L.

Google
Amazing food and service as always! We ordered roasted duck, bamboo shoots, cold noodles with chicken, garlic vermicelli pot with shrimp. Our server’s recommendation was on point and everything was delicious.

Cindy C.

Yelp
We ordered the Peking duck, wood ear mushrooms, and Serrano sliced beef -- everything was delicious and served with speed. The service was awesome, and the ambiance was clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
Me and my mom came for dinner, the food is excellent and delicious, very traditional taste of Chinese food. Service is great also! Absolutely amazing restaurant to come!

Yelp
I always recommend Meizhou Dongpo when family / friends ask for a Chinese restaurant in Irvine. If you're lookimg for a nice place to eat with friends, or somewhere to bring your family or in-laws, think Meizhou Dongpo! The dishes are more spicy so if you're not that good with spice, be aware of that. Portion size is very generous and worth the price tag!! The mapo tofu is the best in Irvine in my opinion (and I've tried a lot of mapo tofu in a lot of Chinese restaurants here). The serrano pepper beef is also delicious, with a numbing spicy taste. Fried chicken includes fried potato, so good!! They even have the special pork belly that comes in its own bowl with rice. When I'm eating with a bigger group, I'll get the roasted duck too. The wrap for the duck is a perfect consistency and texture (not dry or chewy). Quick and good service, delicious food that's always consistent, and pleasant interior. Lots of parking in this plaza too.

Yelp
I feel the taste of their dishes has declined over the years. Tends to be saltier and unstable. Service and ambiance are as amazing as usual. Wonder if they changed the chef.....
google avatar

Dylan S.

Yelp
The food came out super quick and was delicious. The veggies especially, in particular the string beans, were my absolute favorite. The Kung Pao shrimp was scrumptious. The pea shoots were also amazing. The spice level was perfect, a good punch of heat! I will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Been to Meizhou a couple times and the food & service is consistently decent. It's not the best but for what it's worth given location, service and their menu, I recommend to check it out. It's good to go for group dinners as the dishes are more family style for sharing.

Yelp
Yummy duck!!! Beautifully decorated besides the chairs benches being scratched up. I came on saturday during peak lunch and it wasnt busy. We were seated right away and food came out fairly quick. They actually forgot to give us the duck soup we ordered and charged us for it but we were able to get that removed. Definately recomend the peking duck because they give some juicy slices. I also got the spicy fish dish but there wasnt many fish chunks in the dish as I expected.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the nicer Chinese restaurants in Irvine. It's part of a chain from China, with a menu that looks like a photo book. Known for Peking Duck, fried whole fish and tofu soup. It's always better to go with a group so you can order more dishes to try. The appetizers are usually good too - standouts including avocado, cucumber and bang bang chicken.

Yelp
My cousin introduced me to this place in Arcadia. I was thrilled they open a location in Irvine. I have been here a few times, it is definitely one of the most upscale Chinese restaurants around. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and bright. The food comes shocking fast. We barely got our water and the appetizer was already on the table. The waiter was polite but with military efficiency. Appetizers, the cold cucumber was garlicky, sweet, sour, hit all the right notes. The husband and wife slices was embedded in a spicy, tingly, delicious oil it was outstanding. The main course, my wife's go to was the hot pepper chicken, breaded chicken with fried potato, covered by a mountain of dried pepper and sesame seeds, the sweet variation was a nice touch. I got the braided beef, tender slices of beef on a bed of vegetables, with a pile of garlic. Both main dish came in an obscenely massive serving platter, see photo. And finally the classic string beans is a can't miss. We agreed every dish was a hit. We took 80% of food to go, because the portion was so generous. Such an incredible meal!

Yelp
5 stars before I even ate the duck. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, letting us know that the duck would take 25 mins so that we could order it right away. Everything was great! The a choy was fresh and full of garlicky goodness. Dan dan noodles had a good spice. And the star of the show was the duck - crispy skin with tender meat. Wish it would've come with baos instead of pancakes but other than that, a great meal. Came on a Friday evening, without a wait, as there's is quite a bit of seating. Ambiance is on the fancier side, great for a family gathering.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised to get a table right away -- no wait at all! The service was fantastic -- friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered the Peking duck, and it was absolutely incredible -- crispy skin, tender meat, and full of flavor. The sides that came with it were just as delicious and the portions were huge, perfect for sharing or taking a little home for later. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the whole dining experience was smooth from start to finish. Definitely one of the best meals I've had in a while. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Yelp

Yelp
We've always liked Meizhou Dongpo back in Arcadia but after that location closed we came to try the Irvine one and liked it even better. Our server Tayt is really sweet and attentive. The food is 10/10! Really impressed by the duck eaten 3 ways. Great ambiance and environment in the restaurant as well.

Yelp
Worst service ever. At first, we arrived at 2:30 PM and it's not busy at all inside. I checked in with Yelp self-check in system and it says less than 5 mins for waiting time-we were only one in that waitlist. That waitress who is at receptionist barely care about our arrival, until we asked for have a seat. Really empty inside, and I asked her why would it take so long, she said she misheard me saying I have 3 guests in total, instead of 4. Yes, so does that means we couldn't seat in a 4-person table?? At the end, while I'm checking out, when I'm done with payments, she instantly stand at my back, watching whether I'm choosing 15% tips or 18% even higher. Anyways, definitely not worth your time and price you paid.

Yelp
Last weekend, I went to Meizhou Dongpo Irvine with my family, and overall the experience was pretty good. It's one of the few places in Southern California where you can get reasonably authentic Sichuan cuisine and roast duck. The restaurant is located next to Diamond Jamboree, with fairly convenient parking. The space is large, elegantly decorated, and brightly lit--kind of like a high-end Sichuan restaurant in China. The staff are professional and speak both Mandarin and English well. We ordered three main dishes: roast duck, pine nut mandarin fish, and spicy chicken (lazi ji). The roast duck was the highlight of the meal. The chef carved it tableside, and the process was neat and professional. The skin was crispy, the meat tender, and wrapping it in pancakes with sweet bean sauce, scallions, and cucumber was just perfect. The duck was flavorful but not greasy, with a good fat-to-meat ratio. Overall, it was comparable to what you'd find in Beijing and definitely one of the better roast ducks you can get in the U.S. The pine nut mandarin fish looked great and had a crisp exterior, but it fell a bit short compared to versions in China. The sauce was slightly sweet, the fish not as tender, and the flavor a bit muted. If you haven't tried it in China, it might still taste good, but it's not particularly impressive. The spicy chicken (lazi ji) was a pleasant surprise. The chicken pieces were crispy outside, juicy inside, with a moderate level of spiciness. The aroma of Sichuan peppercorns was strong but not overwhelming, and it was very appetizing. It was actually the fastest dish to disappear from the table. We also ordered cold appetizers--wood ear mushrooms and cucumber slices--which were refreshing. Service was good, with the staff attentive about refilling tea and clearing plates. The price is on the higher side, around $60-$70 per person, but considering the environment, service, and the quality of the roast duck, it's worth it. Overall, although the menu and flavors are slightly "dated" or not very innovative compared to China, Meizhou Dongpo Irvine still ranks among the better Chinese restaurants in Irvine. The roast duck is a must-order, the spicy chicken is a pleasant surprise, and the pine nut mandarin fish is just okay. The environment is comfortable, and the service is professional--suitable for family dinners or hosting guests.

Yelp
Excellent duck w/ pancake. The restaurant is big and freaky decor (Chinese upscale elegant style). Plenty of parking but can be crowded, especially on the weekend. Fantastic service from the server, details and attentive. The foods are very tasty and fresh. The duck sliced right in front of you and well plated. Great dinner overall.
google avatar

Yelp
I came to visit some friends in California and they BOTH recommended this place separately! The place was pretty delicious and met my expectations. The Peking Duck was great, the soup combo was a hit actually because the duck bone flavors were great and the soup was good, felt worth the extra $10. The garlic eggplant was great, and so were the string beans. The sweet and sour fish was okay, I may not get this one again because it's not as crispy as I was hoping for and it's pretty expensive. The service was great, pretty fast, but the restaurant closes quite early, 9pm on a Wednesday night.

Renjie Z.

Yelp
the roast duck is freezing. Never have such terrible taste ever when having roast duck before. Attitude is super bad so would not recommend coming back to this store any more.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice more upscale/elevated (but not too fancy) Chinese restaurant that serves as a great place for large group celebrations! We came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner with a party of approximately 35 people. There were private rooms available but they allowed us to sit in the main dining room at adjacent tables which was more affordable than booking a private room. The parking is easy since it's located by a big lot. The food itself was not the best Chinese food but got the job done! Our favorite was the orange chicken, it was very crispy on the outside with a nice citrus flavor. We also ordered the Mongolian beef and Peking duck, which came out in very thin/small pieces. The mapo tofu had a very mild kick to it. Overall great ambiance and food was good!
google avatar

Darci R.

Yelp
The food here was very tasty and had some very authentic flavors. First off we had the Dan Dan noodles and the classic pork. Both very tasty but the pork seemed a little pricy for the amount of pork there was in each dish. Next we branched out and tried the Serrano Pepper Beef, Wow was that an interesting new flavor for us! I wasn't aware of the intense numbing sensation that would be coming my way, but the flavor was super good and we really enjoyed trying it. We ended with the half duck, which was pretty good but seemed to be lacking in the flavor Im typing looking for in Peking duck. The ambiance of this restaurant was amazing. Very family friendly with giant round tables with spinning lazy Susan's for large families to share. Our servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Loved the decor, very beautiful. All in all we really enjoyed the food and it was a great end to our day!
google avatar

Drake R.

Yelp
This felt like a true Sichuan Experience, the intense numbing flavors were a total trip to my family and I. We love trying new flavors. To start out the Dan Dan noodles are tasty, just not my favorite I've had when compared to places like SF. The Serrano Pepper Beef was for sure unlike anything I have ever had, and I'm not sure my tongue will ever feel the same... I totally enjoyed this, as did my wife. My kids scarfed it down, but while calling it "pretty weird." The classic pork was good, but at $10 for a single 2" piece, that price was a bit much. The last thing we had was the half duck which was in fact good, but this is probably my least favorite Peking style duck I've had anywhere. The Peking I like to get pretty often where I live is half the price of this, and the taste has much more depth. Overall still a good experience and I'm glad we went out and tried it while in the area!

Reilly R.

Yelp
The duck was pretty good and so was the bang bang chicken. The duck didn't feel worth the price though. My main issue is that I asked for my food to go. They packaged it for me and I took it to work today. Once I opened it I realized this isn't even my food. They gave me someone elses used to-go order. I wanted to take my bang bang chicken leftover with cucumber and they gave me someone's sliced beef in chili leftover and now I don't have lunch at work today unless I eat this other persons meal

Amy H.

Yelp
Amazing date night restaurant. Delicious Sichuan food: wok-fried green beans, black pepper beef (fabulous), spicy chicken with french fries (VERY spicy in a good way), roast duck, pot stickers, and egg rolls. Highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent, friendly service. No wait.
google avatar

Virginia L.

Yelp
I've been seeing Meizhou Dongpo for a very long time, but finally got a chance to try it. After seeing so many good reviews, I was extremely excited to try out the food. Unfortunately food was okay for the price it is for each dish. Prices here are a bit expensive. We ordered the bang chicken, stir fried beans, mongolian beef and a half roasted duck. The duck was fine. The mongolian beef was tender, but on the saltier side. The bang chicken was alright. Overall food, nothing really amazing. On the other hand, what aspects that was amazing was the service. They were on top of it with a good balance where we didn't feel bombarded throughout our whole meal, but still checked in on our table. Inside the ambience was nicely ddcorated, but it felt kind of tight and not as much spacing in between tables. Food was okay based on the price, but the staff was amazing. I might consider coming back to try other dishes.
google avatar

Yvi H.

Yelp
We came to Meizhou Dong Po and ordered the duck, fried rice, and chicken pot stickers. The duck was the clear highlight -- crispy skin, juicy meat, and served with the traditional pancakes and condiments. It was rich but not greasy, and definitely worth ordering if you come here. The fried rice was flavorful and well-balanced, not too oily, and made a nice complement to the heavier dishes. The chicken pot stickers were crispy on the outside and filled generously -- a comforting appetizer that arrived hot and fresh. Overall, the service was attentive and the food came out quickly. Great spot if you're craving authentic flavors with a little upscale touch.
google avatar

Angela Y.

Yelp
I would eat here everyday if I could. The authentic food, loud ambiance, and fast service made me feel like I'm transported to one of those fancy restaurants in China. We came here with the duck and dongpo pork, and also ordered the spicy wontons, eggplants, and Dan Dan noodles. All of them lived up to my expectations. The dongpo pork is served in small servings (per person) of 4 pieces. I suggest getting 1 for 2 people to share to leave room for other dishes. It's extremely flavorful and tender. The duck is roasted perfectly. Super crispy and retained its moisture. The noodles and wontons are flavorful as well. The eggplants are a little greasy but nonetheless delicious. We had 3 people and devoured all the food instantly
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
Outstanding service and the duck was crispy and savory. Mapo tofu was delicious and Mongolian beef was delicious too. Staff were attentive and food came out fast. Ambiance is of a high-end Chinese restaurant. A must try in Orange County!
google avatar

Simon S.

Yelp
My buddies and I were craving some Peking duck, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Just a heads-up: make sure to place your duck order as early as possible since it takes some time to prepare, but it's worth the wait. They also serve the duck with the thin pancakes instead of buns. We also tried the jellyfish appetizer, stir-fried vegetables, fried rice, and the bang bang chicken, all of which were delicious. The sauce for the bang bang chicken was especially good with rice; rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. Try to make a reservation if you can, the place was pretty packed and busy when we went. The restaurant was decorated pretty nicely too, it's a more of a fancy Chinese restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
The food we had was fantastic and the service was top notch. We really enjoyed the roast duck (they even served the tongue which my wife said was amazing), fried rice, garlic broccoli, pot stickers, and Mongolian beef.

Raymond M.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. The food is incredible, we 8 dishes and each one had its own unique taste. I literally thought I was back in China. I recommend you each the chilies in the dishes, they bring out the flavors.

Yelp
I've tried the shrimp fried rice from here before but only as a to-go order, and I loveeeee it!!! Their fried rice is seriously so good, it made me come back to try more of their menu. First impression- the place is beautiful. The outside and the inside are very big and luxurious. They could use an upgrade on the seats, though (ours were peeling a lot). Their service was excellent as well. I don't speak Chinese, and some of the people who helped us spoke little english, but they were super kind and made an effort to make sure we were ordering exactly what we wanted which I appreciated a lot. Onto the food!! What we ordered- String beans: 7/10 solid, but nothing crazy. Comparable to din tai fung's except a little less garlic and a hint of Szechuan spice. Shrimp fried rice: 10/10 a fav!!! I love how they use those huge juicy shrimp instead of the smaller ones you usually get with shrimp fried rice. The color is very dark but it doesn't taste very different from other delicious shrimp fried rice! Beef filet with black pepper: 9/10 yummmm!!!!!! The beef was sooo tender and soft and the flavor was amazing. It was peppery and garlicky and the onion and whole garlics in there were super tasty as well. Sweet and sour fish: 7/10 this was pretty good I love the look of it and how it was very crispy when it arrived. The flavor is also good, wish it was just a little more sour and a little less sweet. I think this is worth trying once because it's so fun, but beware of fish bones!!! I almost swallowed one. But that's the only one that any of us noticed so it might have just been a fluke. But also, the fish was $70 alone so I would have rated it higher if it was a little less pricey.

Yelp
We got the chili oil beef, cold mung bean noodles, mapo tofu, fried and steamed buns with condensed milk. We wanted to get the dongpo pork, but they have ran out for the day. We went at roughly 1 PM. The rest of the food was good though, would recommend nonetheless. My favorite was the fried and steamed buns with condensed milk. With all the heavy food that we ordered, I felt that it was a great change of flavor and pace. It my first time having cold mung bean noodles and I was pleasantly surprised because I did not know how it was going to be. It was pretty refreshing to say the least. It was also my first time ordering chili oil beef and it was intense, but in a good way. The mala flavors were very apparent and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
This was our first time at Meizhou Dongpo and it was amazing! We got the roast duck, hot chili oil beef, orange chicken, Dan Dan noodles, string beans, & fried buns for dessert. Everything tasted even better than I imagined! Our waiter, Tate, was polite, prompt and friendly! The atmosphere is gorgeous. The Roast duck was the BEST and very juicy. Best Chinese food. Do yourself a favor and visit this fine establishment!

Yelp
Thank you to all the staff members and manager for making a beautiful memorable Wedding Banquet dinner in the private room! Special thank you to Jean and Jonathan to help with the menu selection with my son and I! It was perfect! 2 ducks, 2 fishes, 2 lobsters (celebrating the wedding couple with symbolic recognition) All 16 people in the private room enter and left with big smiles and happy stomach! Thank you again Meizhou's Chef and great delicious food and presentation!! Sincerely. Yang Family

Yelp
Came for the dumplings, stayed for the pork belly, dang dang noodles, and vibes. Everything we ordered was great, you have to order the eggplant side dish, one of my favorite dishes there. Service was quick and friendly, came hungry so didn't get a chance to take a pic, will be back.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday and there was no wait. We ordered the half Meizhou roast duck ($49.99), A choy ($17.99), and braised pork with brown sauce and bamboo shoots ($26.99). The Peking duck was not the best I've had. It was thinly sliced, but didn't have much meat. The meat wasn't noticeably tender or flavorful, and the skin wasn't noticeably crispy. There was a heater underneath the plate to keep the duck warm so that was interesting. They gave us thin pancakes instead of the traditional buns, so I wasn't a fan of the pancakes either. For the price, I expected the Peking duck to be mindblowingly good. The braised pork was solid, but not the most tender. The A choy was good and not too salty. Ambiance is nice and service is good. They filled our water frequently throughout the meal. Overall, I wasn't impressed by the food here.

Yelp
I had a good experience at this restaurant when it first opened many years ago as it was considered upscale Chinese food so was excited to go back and try the meals again with a friend. The parking can be challenging as it is in a busy strip mall so leave plenty of time for parking and walking to the restaurant. The restaurant needs some updating as the seats were all ripped and huge chunks of fabric was missing. We were also seated near the restroom so you could smell urine where we were so that made for a slightly unpleasant experience. We ordered 3 dishes. The stir fried mushrooms came with 3 varieties and the flavor was excellent. The wok spicy hot pot was also pretty good. They were able to make it less spicy since I'm a wimp when it comes to spice. The flavor was good but the pork was slightly tough and I didn't care for the Spam in the dish. The last dish was the pork belly. It came with about 10 pieces of very thinly sliced pork belly and the rest was the preserved vegetable. It was quite salty and I think it would've been better if there was a tiny bit of sugar added. Overall, I was disappointed in the portion size and quality of food for the price as well as the condition of the restaurant.

Yelp
Chinese New Year 2025, America may be going to hell in a hand basket in the month of January (wildfires, plane crashes, and what not) but all is well at Meizhou Dongpo -- great service and food. * Peking Duck - good but needs more wrappers. Why stick them to parchment paper? separating them is a royal pain. * Shrimp with scallion sauce - very light and refreshing * Dan Dan Noodle - ordered non-spicy, a perfect bowl! * Country-Style Pork - mildly spicy and very addictive with white rice! * Coconut Almond Mochi dessert - not too sweet, goes great with hot tea!

Yelp
My first time coming to this place. It's a bit packed at the time of my visit but we're seated right away. It's spacious, well-lit, and clean. Our server was very prompt, friendly, and efficient. We ordered: Chrysanthemum hot tea Dan Dan noodles 7.99 - appetizer. Cold.noodle with ground meat and some spices. Cucumber Salad 9.99 - somewhat similar to dtf cucumber salad Wok fried Bamboo shoot 9.99 - yum Sweet and Sour Fish 69.99 - this is a whole fish that are prepared and cut intricately. Fish was Crispy, soft and buttery texture Serrano Pepper Beef 27.99 - thinly sliced beef with Serrano pepper and soupy. I recommend to order this with medium spicy Some.of the meal are a bit on the high price but servings are big enough and can be shared between 4-6 ppl. I love the fried fish and Serrano pepper beef the most. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back.

Yelp

Yelp
Really good Asian cuisine. I love their sautéed vegetables. They are always fast with the food too, and the wait for a table goes by really fast. They are also patient in explaining what each dish is. The inside is nice.

Yelp
Delicious food and excellent service. We had the Meizhou roast duck and the sweet and sour fish twice.

Yelp
Classy, clean, and courteous staff. The food here is top notch. A friend I was dining with noted this is more Southern Chinese-styled dishes. The chili pepper notation is helpful to see on the menu. Despite them being know for spicy, we ordered our dishes mild and were not disappointed. Our favorite dishes were the sweet and sour fried fish and the Serrano pepper beef. The latter was like a sukiyaki beef dish. The former is like having sweet & sour pork but with fish. Super delish! The service was on point. Our chrysanthemum tea was filled often while we dined. We didn't have room for dessert or additional dishes. Payment was a breeze (they use Toast) and even handled a to-go order pretty seamlessly. We plan to come back again to enjoy their other signature dishes.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant on a weekday evening. It wasn't busy, so we were seated right away. After placing our order, all of the dishes arrived in less than five minutes. Food: Peking duck was okay the side dishes's green onion was dry out. The Mapo Tofu with dice beef was warm tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. We also ordered the Dongpo Pork, which cost $12.99 for a single serving, but the meat was so dry and hard to chew and the rice underneath was served at room temperature. The cold noodles were also too hard to chew. Overall, the quality of the food was disappointing. Ambiance: The table around us was extremely loud, with guests speaking as if they were arguing. It made the entire dining experience unpleasant and stressful. Service: Our server never checked on us once. However, we noticed that the server was much more attentive and friendly to a nearby table of white customers chatting. Overall: If both the food and the overall dining environment remain at this level, good luck to their patrons.

Yelp
This place is very authentic and is a pleasant place to dine. Irvine has a lot of Asian food and it is hard to rise above everyone else. Most of the customers are Chinese so this should suggest this is a good place to eat. The staff all wear nice uniforms and are all very nice and are "on it". The atmosphere is clean and bright. The food is great. The fried rice, peanuts, duck, stir fried string beans, Kung Pao chicken and beef tenderloin were all outstanding. Note that the food comes out very fast (within 15 minutes when we went at 5:30) except that the duck came out in about 40 minutes. If you want duck it is best to order it as soon as you sit down while you are looking at the menu, or ask for the duck to be served first if you want it as an appetizer course.

Yelp
We came to try the duck, which we had to wait 40 mins for them to cook it. While we waited we ordered some dishes to try. Spicy Sichuan food with lots of flavor Recommend here for group gatherings. Family style dinners Service is friendly since all of them are walking around Very popular joint with families and gathering Beautiful decor and decently loud noise level with lots of people

Yelp
So excited they have fresh lobster here!! Since it's fresh and they come by to show you the lobster live and moving you know what you're getting. They also can add noodle to it but ours was very dry otherwise tasty. I did take off a star due to being rushed while my hands were both full on dirty trying to munch on that lobster. They said they wanted me to pay the bill which I'm totally ok with because I understand them changing shifts but the lady who was waiting out table is still here. So I felt a little bothered that I got rushed and interrupted while eating my meal. Then came again a second time interrupting my meal. I guess while writing this I just like to eat my meal in peace...so I guess other than that and the dryer side of noodles everything was good!
