Mellow Mushroom Atlanta - Buckhead

I am a big fan of Mellow Mushroom but this location disappointed me big time. Everything was great except the food itself. We ordered Buffalo wings, They came like warm, we ordered Hot Buffalo but it was no where close to HOT in spice level. We ordered Buffalo Chicken Pizza, The chicken must have been day or 2 old probably, pizza was not hot either. I have ordered the same pizza in many other locations and always been good but they failed big time in this location, it was New Years Day and the place wasn't very busy or anything. The parking is very limited, so plan accordingly if you are planning to visit this location. Our server Zack was nice and respectful. We ordered a cocktail and that wasn't top notch either, not sure about this lady talked over the microphone very often that was doing trivia but I wasn't entertaining but kind of disturbing instead. overall it was an disappointing visit to this location and I will not recommend this location to friends or family.

Hands down the best pizza every single time! So glad we stopped on our way through Atlanta! Never disappoints! Staff was so great and the place is amazing! We will always come back. My wife has celiac and never has an issue with cross contamination and the gluten free actually tastes good. They took great care making sure everything was separate and no gluten contamination! Thank you so much yet again!

I went there for dinner with my friends. Overall, the place was so nice, waiter and waitress were so nice too. Our food took a while to be served, but everything tasted good. The musics they played at that time were so nice too. Just a little thing about the table and menu were sticky. And they just forget our pretzels. The pizza and chicken wings were great and tasty. We had good time!!

I spent the day here waiting for the Amtrak station nearby to open. I'm glad I picked the Mellow Mushroom. I spent 9 hours there. For one the staff was accommodating and very nice. I met Ella while I was there and I swear I was treated like family. Ella was my hostess, server, waitress and bartender. The food was beyond excellent and they got a nice bar for cocktails. It was a great little find, and better then the nights I went out for entertainment while in Atlanta

Love this place! The food is spot on, always hot and fresh. The vibes are great, staff is friendly, and the apps and pizzas never disappoint. Draft list is hard to beat price wise. Definitely get the pretzel bites if you’ve never had them. We will definitely be back.

My grand daughter loved it. Delicious and hot pizza. The hosts were generous and made sure we were comfortable with excellent service. We had a fun train in our party atmosphere. We had fun. I was able to get two stuff animals for my G-daughter. We returned because my granddaughter wanted to come back again. I brought 2 granddaughters with me this time. Shondra has great hospitality, and Trinity is an awesome server. They have a great team. Mia as well. Thanks a lot.

I went to the Buckhead Mellow Mushroom location with a group of my friends, and we each ordered our own personal pizza and wings and pretzel bites as our appetizers, and it was AMAZING! The service was great. Ella was our server and we absolutely loved her. She listened to us and answered all of our questions we had about the menu and she was extremely consistent. We will definitely be returning to this location!

Always a great time at Mellow Mushroom in Buckhead, especially on Thursday trivia nights -- fun crowd, good vibes and even better pizza! We ordered the Super Pepp Pizza, which was a standout -- the hot honey ricotta spread is a total game-changer. The balance of sweet, spicy, and savory with the crispy pepperoni is a craveable combination. We also got the Mighty Meaty, which absolutely lives up to its name. Tons of toppings, and the crust still holds up perfectly -- not too heavy, not too doughy. Lots of beers to choose from on tap, decent drinks and cocktails as well. I went with the Tropicalia on tap which came out very cold which is great on a very hot August evening! Service is friendly and the food came out fast even on a busy night. Whether you're in it for the trivia or just a solid pizza night, this Mellow location delivers every time.

The front door area smells like straight piss. I got a "chicken hoagie" and my bread was mostly stale. 1/2 of the sub had the tiniest bit of chicken on it. Bartender who took my order was nice though.

Come get your groove on here at Mellow Mushroom. The pizza was very good. I got a Kosmic Karma with minced Italian sausage and my hubby got Shiitake Mushroom. Loved that we got the half/half option. The service was great and our waiter was so kind and helpful. It was super clean and everywhere you look had something fun to keep your attention. There is an outside patio and inside California room style with a claw machine. They give your compostable boxes to reduce waste. Great experience.

A great neighborhood pizza joint . Well rounded with great subs & burgers . The dry wings were perfect. Service & management were noticeably conscientious. The huge steak or chicken subs are the deal !

Really tasty gluten-free pizza. The crust was similar to thin crust but not too dry. Enjoyed it. I sat at the bar and the bartender was great. Thanks Mia! You're the best!

Located in a small strip mall-like cul-de-sac, we happened upon this pizza (and more) bar/restaurant. The photo will give you a hint of the fun vibe and personality of this eatery. We had two "very large personal" pizzas fresh and hot from the oven (which were a great value, and we both had leftovers). Perfect crust and ample toppings. To get more veggies in, we shared a yummy but very tiny, spinach, apple and bacon salad (while tasty, it was not worth the price, even for a half/side salad). My co worker said it was alot of "air" with those spinach leaves. The dressing was refreshing, though-so I'm sure the entree serving is perfect for lunch or a light dinner. The beverages were refillable (yikes - I had two servings of ginger ale as a result). Apologies, we were starving and failed to take food or menu photos;(. The pizzas and the vibe were so outstanding that we wish we had time to return during our work trip to Atlanta! Until next time!

The person who answered the line was extremely cheerful and helpful! I couldn't see the full descriptions on my phone, so she explained the different types of toppings. The pizza was spectacular. The dough was pillowy and well seasoned, and the toppings were tasty. Thank you!!

Before I got a chance to order my food over the phone (unfortunately what I like to order is not available on UberEats, etc.), I was met with a poor attitude along with an unpleasant tone. I wanted a small pizza, and I asked the lady if it was four slices to clarify. She answered as if she was annoyed. I said "OK" and proceeded to order anyway. As I ordered, she hung up in my face.

UPDATE 2: the hostess Aleena P is threatening to sue because I have legally posted her harassing me. I will remain in contact with the person who has advised me that not only was my family discriminated against but now also being harassed by the worker. I will never attempt to dine here again. This establishment discriminated against my white family, which 1/4 of us is a disabled veteran. & due to me posting my review about how we were treated, we are now being harassed. This is the most unprofessional establishment we have ever attempted to dine at. UPDATE: The manager lied about the hostess' name. It's not Melissa, it's allegedly Aleena P. & I only know that because the employee that treated my family poorly at this location is now harassing me through yelp because of the review. This Mellow Mushroom location is blantantly racist. My family of 4 walked in & was pleased to see there was no one else inside other than someone picking up a to-go order, so we figured it would be a quick bite before we drive back out of state to go home. We attempted to dine in just a few minutes after 9pm (the restaurant is open until 10pm) but we were turned away by the hostess (who was actively arguing in the dining room with her boyfriend) because she said they don't seat anyone after 9pm at this location. At 9:14pm we watched a black family of 3 walk in & they were immediately seated to dine in. My family is white. After witnessing them seat a black family after turning away my white family, I called to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes until I hung up, however another family member called & was able to speak to the manager, (if given the accurate information/name) Mia. Mia was extremely inexperienced & did not know how to address the problem. She only said that she was sorry & told us the hostess who addressed us in that manner is named Melissa (if given the accurate information/name). Mia never offered a solution to earn our business back or make us feel any better for the mistreatment my family received from her employee Melissa. Melissa needs to be removed from her position as she does not need to be working in customer service. She lacks the manners to address the public, considering she's the first person you're greeted by. Mia needs training so she will know how to handle any future incidents as she lacks the knowledge of how to professionally handle any situation. I will be contacting corporate.

My first time at mellow last night and the service and food was amazing as well as our server Zach I believe. HE WAS THE BEST

Sometimes you're just craving a nice, doughy Mellow Mushroom pizza. This location is one of the best I've been to in terms of the pizza quality. I did have one issue in that the beer I was served was flat and stale, but they quickly replaced it with a fresh one. Sit outside and enjoy the wizard!

There is no pizza that compares to this place, the crust is soft chewy and crunchy at the same time. Sometimes the maui wowie is not on the menu is at certain locations but you can ask for it and they make it. Has a pesto base with banana peppers, jerk chicken, pineapple, ham, onion. It doesn't sound the best all put together but believe me it is! The other favorite is the shitaki pie. If you like mushrooms and cheese then this is your pie! Wings here- perfection. Taking it off the bone it slides off and cooked great. The sweet Thai chili wings are our favorite and then today we tried the south side wings that have a relish on them. Again sounds not great but the amount of spice and garlic etc was amazing!

Overall great experience calzone lacks flavor ... marinating steak and seasoning dough will elevate this dish. That damn spinach dip on point today normally it's hit or miss ... today 9 out of 10

Incredibly rude. Took twice as long as they said it would be with barely anyone in the restaurant.

Horrible delivery experience. I did not realize that when you order online for delivery they use door dash as their delivery service, well the driver at door dash instead of calling or texting me left the pizza outside on the ground in an apartment building where someone stole the pizza. When I called Mellow Mushroom who received my money they said Door dash had to refund my money when I contacted door dash they said Mellow Mushroom had to refund my money. Needless to say neither refunded my money and the store manager at Mellow Mushroom was terrible and did not even try to assist me. The easiest solution was to reorder the pizza and have it redelivered but they didn't even consider the option. Terrible experience.

Typical Mellow Mushroom. Service was good. Food came out quickly and was very good. It was very clean and nice.

Avoid the Buckhead location. There's maybe 8 tables inside max. An insane amount of tables outside. Beers tasted spoiled (tried two different kinds). Sticky tables as well. Servers were nice, but the restaurant is locationally challenged

Literally the worst pizza I've ever had. How does it not taste like cheese or tomatoes???? Waste of money and so was the pretzel bites appetizer. Literally gross.

I live by Mali mushroom and whenever I need a delicious pizza what is the specific flavor I go to mellow mushroom the crust has it taste that it's not like any others and my family always loves the funky decorations of the location. It has a cool Little patio outside which I've used various times when the weather is great

This Mellow Mushroom unfortunately misses the mark compared to others. The pizza itself was on par with frozen store bought pizza - the crust was soggy and bready and the toppings were lackluster (raw onions). The pretzel bites did not taste anything like they do at other locations, and the beer cheese was served cold. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but given there are multiple Mellow Mushrooms in the city, we probably won't be returning to this one.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza with black olives and we picked it up but when we opened it when we got it home you could barely see any black olives and there was so much cheese it was just a big grease pile in the middle and like the black olives barely any pepperoni and when trying to pick of a single piece it was so greasy that it literally slide out of your hand so we dropped the piece and threw the whole medium pizza in the trash! Undoubtedly it was someone's first trying in making a pizza and the crust was huge to the point it didn't even look like pizza dough! ADVICE, look before leaving if you are picking up your pizza and if delivered look before accepting! It's like all the food places in Atlanta... HORRIBLE and by the way this states Buckhead Location when it's diffidently a Midtown address! DUH!

we had great service from our waitress Jill, she recommended the new strawberry cocktail and the shiitake pizza and we loved both of them! Great server and great food! 10/10 recommend!!

ordered a to-go pizza and they made it promptly! the pizza was good dont get me wrong, but i am taking off 2 points for the unprofessional staff and for how sick i felt after eating the pizza. im dairy free, gluten free so i feel like something snuck its way in there but who knows.

I went to this Mellow Mushroom location at a slow time in the afternoon on a Tuesday and the service was speedy as if there was a nice crowd. My server Rosie was excellent, stopping to explain the various specials and menu options. She was a very enthusiastic and knowledgable representative of the franchise. Please consider checking out this location, the food and service is excellent.

Pretty solid pizza place. I'm a New Yorker and I'm very critical of my pizza's. This one was ok. Literally just ok. We were seated quickly, the food came out timely, and our server(s) were kind which is why I give it a 4. The pizza was decent for a very hungry family who had been on the road all day. The chicken was the only topping that didn't really do it for me.

Great place all around. We went for a late lunch and our waitress was super sweet and helpful (can't remember her name but she had the coolest hair and tattoos lol). She helped me get a good drink that I absolutely loved. For lunch my son had the kids Mac n cheese entree which was surprisingly pretty dang good. I had to steal one or two (or three...bye bye diet!) bites. I got the burger with pickled jalapeños and just fell in love. Pretty sure it was the garlic aioli that made it stand out. The tater tots were so-so. My S/O had the classic cheese pizza and he loved it (he's a pizza guy and is super picky so their cooks are doing something right back there lol). My son's favorite part was probably the claw machine though, so if you have kids bring a few extra dollars! Indoor, outdoor, and semi-indoor/outdoor dining available. We loved it!

I ordered online at 5:55 and my pickup was quoted at7:21 for three small pizzas. Okay, I figured they were busy no big deal. I thought there would be a way to track my order but nope, just a quote time. I get there at 7:15 and the place is practically empty, and I go to pick up my order and the pizzas might as well been refrigerated from the night before. I asked the employees how long they've been sitting there and why I was quoted so long to pick them up and simply laughed and said "who knows!" I paid $70 for cold pizza. They should have called and let me know when to pick it up. This was my first time at a mellow mushroom and my last time at a mellow mushroom. Don't waste your money here unless you want rude customer service and cold food. Yuck. Edit: I forgot to add that my pizza didn't have sauce on it, and was comparable to the taste of my high school cafeteria pizza. I ended up throwing it away.

It does make a difference which Mellow Mushroom you go to. It really does. While I'm sure the pizza recipes are the same for each one, this one is my least favorite. Maybe its because I always seems to get attitude when I place an order over the phone. Or. Maybe its because my pizza seems just too cold by the time I make it home with my phone in order pizza, or maybe its because Mellow Mushroom pizza doesn't microwave very well. My last order came up to $33.16 which I thought was a lot for a large pizza with two toppings and two small salads. The place was packed on a Sunday nite. Guess having that football tv package really pays off. The parking here is a joke, there are about 9 parking spaces right outside the restaurant, but then there is sign on the wall behind the restaurant that says to park behind the wall after 5pm and anytime on weekends. I just feel like this is the worst place to park because once it gets dark there is no lighting in this parking lot.

Just nasty honestly, wear hair nets PLEASE. This is the reason why I never get good from downtown Atlanta. Y'all don't take hygiene serious. Just disgusting. Order from a different location people!!!

The pizza itself was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best I've had, but I had hoped as much because it's definitely on the expensive side for pizza. I also love the vibes of the restaurant. The only reason I don't give a 5 star rating is because the way the pizza was cut was the worst I had ever seen. The slices were not even at all, with some slices being very thin and others being gigantic. Not only that, but the cuts that were there might as well have not been there. I had to go get a knife and cut the pizza myself. They may as well have just given me an uncut pizza. I also ordered a half and half pizza, one side being the great white and the other side being the house special but the pizza was 2/3 great white and I feel like this may be because they were skimping on the ingredients because the house special has a lot more toppings. Other than these things, the quality and flavor of the pizza itself was excellent

First time I've been disappointed at a mellow mushroom. Staff attitude sucks & our food was no better than Pizza Hut. When we got the HOLY SHIITAKE PIE it came out cold with no truffle oil or aoli.. so my husband goes in & she gives him the sauce on the side & says they are out of truffle oil. The main topping.. the pizza lacked flavor & was a let down.

The pizza was awesome! We had the House Special pizza. The amount of toppings is crazy. Two pieces and I was stuffed! We also had the garlic pretzels with beer cheese for an app and those were amazing.

Nifty Mellow Mushroom in the location that originally had Rocky's Pizza. Love the decor here - the VW Microbus in wall is, in a word, awesome. I also like the figural Mel's that line the patio. As Mellow Mushrooms go, the pizza here has the same great consistency of the other locations - I do think this is a great people watching location, at least when the weather's nice enough to sit on the patio. Great service here too.

Worst service ever! Cold pizza although I arrived 10 minutes before the pick up notification came to my email. I ticked the box for curbside called. They confirmed they were coming out 20 minutes later no one came out I called again. The girl tells me they're too busy to come outside. And that since I ordered online I can't get curbside option although I have an email showing online order with curbside whenever I go in had to ask three people before anyone could find the pizza. And although I have several failed to brag about this incredible brick oven pizza, it was super dry, cold, and flavorless.

"Oh, no! Pizza!" -- Sausage Party (2016) This is my "local" Mellow Mushroom - and by that, I mean I could basically walk to it. Any combo of friends and I will go here when craving MM and some cheesy bread - this is also a great place to come play trivia on a Thursday night. So the service is good, not great. They seem to hire college students, or people with not much service experience. They refuse to write anything down and are often really forgetful. Our most recent experience just put me over the top with a few things - while our server was very nice, the over all experience was serious lacking. We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip ($7.99) to start and were really disappointed (and surprised) when it came with only 7 small pieces of crostini. Only half of what was needed to actually eat the dip. When we flagged down our server, she said she could bring us more, for a charge. I mean, you have us at a disadvantage - we have half a plate a dip and nothing to eat it with (not even any utensils). So yes, we will take extra. After some time, we received 5 more pieces. When the bill came, it was 99 cents. So, 20 cents per piece of bread...and a full order isn't the same as what comes originally? Probably won't order that again. I ordered the Maui Wowie personal sized pizza for myself and unsweet tea - the refill was sweetened. I gave up and drank it anyway. Getting checks and boxes took ages. The pizza was delicious and as always, they have the best crust. The combinations they offer are some of the best, and you can also build your own. But beware - this location is slo and has many issues.

So... somehow, we tried to use a doordash gift card we received for christmas. Ordered a pizza and salad. They charged my credit card for$69 for a medium pizza and salad. Doordash gift card never charged. Food arrived 1.2 hours later. worst experience ever. mushroom. maybe you should fire doordash and all other BS delivery services that screw your brand. just a suggestion. fyi - never coming back.

We went to mellow mushroom on a Friday evening and it wasn't very crowded. We ordered the bruschetta and pretzel bites. The bruschetta was freshly made and great in taste. The beer cheese dip for the pretzel wasn't great in taste and we almost couldn't finish the pretzels because the quantity was huge! I recommend ordering one starter between two people because this place is very generous with their serving size. We also ordered the cheese pizza and the mushroom trio pizza. Both pizzas were great in taste especially the mushroom because the mushrooms were sautéed. The quantity and quality of the food vs the price is great! Overall a good place to eat but I wouldn't call their pizza the best ones I have had in Atlanta.

Today we went to Mellow mushroom for my cousins birthday. We went at 1:30 pm actually getting a table wasn't too hard which was good. While we were waiting for everyone to get there we started off with the drinks I got a water and my brother got a milk and one of my aunts got some coke and so did my mom. Once every one got there we went a ahead and ordered for both of my cousins we got a cheese pizza and the others like my grandparents and my other aunt got a mushroom pizza and some got salads. By the way my brother also got like this thing called cheese bread. The cheese pizza was the last thing to come. Which was ok the pizza was pretty good I really enjoyed it. I can't believe I never wrote a review for this place because it's pretty delicious! I would say you should give it a try! :)

Mellow Mushroom is somewhere that I know I'll never be disappointed by their pizza. My favorite combination is a medium funky chicken (BBQ Chicken) and a customized half on the side. I really enjoy their pizza crust, and I highly recommended asking for a side of ranch next time you stop in!

One of the most awkward situations in a grown man's life is when he has to sit on the toilet for an extended period of time in a public place. It's embarrassing and all you want to do is finish and get out before anyone figures out you were the one that blew up the bathroom. Added uneasiness comes in small bathrooms with only one stall. Most stalls are built from a kit of some sort and there's usually a gap between the door and where it latches. Smaller space have the stall arranged facing a urinal, creating awkwardness for anyone who comes in and pulls out their wang and sees a guy sitting on the toilet looking forward. Plus, unless you're into that sorta thing, it's gross watching someone take a dump. The folks at this Mellow Mushroom are genius sand added a small piece of wood to cover this gap. It's wonderful and I felt so comfortable I actually wrote this entire review sitting on the toilet. Thanks to the new Yelp for Android app that lets you post reviews directly from your phone, you all are able to read this before I wipe and wash my hands. Cool, huh?

We order Togo from here allot!!!! Me and my babes favorite pizza spots!!! So many options and they are expanding their menu!!! They even have reall cool apparel!!!! I love the white pizza, and the veggie calzone with my extra toppings!!!!

CATERING FEEDBACK: I ordered 30 small pizzas, all with different toppings from this location. I dealt with Michael, one of the managers. He was great! He not only provided me with an itemized invoices, but he delivered everything and set it up for us. He also gave me a MM shirt. Delivery was on time and we even had one person out and Michael was more than willing to remove that from our order. So the food.... Everyone loved their pizzas. They were warm and crispy and had the perfect amount of toppings on them. We had the dressings on the side for dipping so they would not get hot (extra point for this!). I plan to use them again for our catering needs.

We've been regular, loyal customers of MM Buckhead since it opened. We try to support our favorite local restaurants, especially during Covid-19. Friday night, the quality of the pizzas and salad we carried out were so far beneath what we are used to at MM. It's very disappointing that MM would lower their quality standards when so many restaurants are fighting to keep their businesses afloat. We are no longer loyal customers. Shame on you, MM, for cutting corners.

Would not recommend THIS Mellow Mushroom, though others deserve your business. Service was slow and minimal in the beginning, but got a little better when servers changed and we got Summer. Beer choices were limited. Food was prepared to order, but taste was lacking. We are Mellow followers, but don't follow us to this one!

DO NOT doordash pickup from here. i ignored the bad reviews and am here waiting for my order with about 8 other people. absolutely no system whatsoever. hectic and messy. a tuesday night feels like a saturday. idk if i will even get my food.

I completely understand the times we're going through have been an adjustment for restaurants, and things are crazy with only pick up or delivery options, but if a restaurant cannot keep up and has to sacrifice quality for quantity, then they should either shut down temporarily or take less orders. We were told that our pick up order would take 1.5 hours, and called 30 minutes in to check on the status, and we were told our pizza was ready!!! That means our pizza would've sat there another HOUR if we had not called in about it. Next, the pizza was AWFUL! Everything was undercooked... The dough wasn't even cooked through! Honestly, I've always been a fan of mellow mushroom, but not anymore. What a waste of time and money.
