The pizza was very good. Nice and thin with the pizzaz sauce. Generous with toppings. Service was slow considering it was lunch-time.

Everytime we visit Front Royal we always make sure this is one of our stops. Best pizza around. They also have a drink called Cherry Smash that is great. Our server this time was Taylor. She was great. Very attentive. If you are in this area you need to check it out. **They only accept cash and checks**

Love this place! Use to live in linden but moved and now we drive 45 mins just to eat here! Came the day after Halloween and it was packed, so naturally things took alittle longer than usual but that is to be expected. Got the bacon cheese fries, x-tra hot wings and pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. The only thing that was not a big fan of was the ranch. It seemed to us like it was hidden valley out of the bottle but not the end of the world. Our sever was also super nice and attentive! Also, forgot to take pictures of the fries and before we dug into the pizza as well as the wings.

Great service and overall vibe! We loved the fried pepperoni and the steak and cheese pizza. The pizza was huge and reasonably priced. Be warned they only take cash or check!

So glad my family and I came here. I drive by this place somewhat regularly, and finally decided to stop by and eat dinner here. So many good reviews and rightfully so. The waitstaff was very attentive, the service was fast and atmosphere was great. They do only accept cash or checks (yes, you read that right, checks in 2026), but they do have an ATM onsite. Oh, and the prices are great too...not many places where you can get a beer for 3 bucks, and they have happy hour specials during the week with even lower drink prices. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to coming back. As a new resident in the county, this place will be seeing me pretty frequently.

The melting pot is a local favorite. The pizzas are always good, and the service has always been good. I do not go there a lot because it does get busy at times, and parking is limited at times. The appetizer are good, and they have a few choices. I would add to this it is still the same good service good pizza. I have not been disappointed at Melting pot yet.

This place makes the perfect pizza! The soft crust and the way the cheese melts in every bite are just amazing. The aroma of the pizza was so tempting, and it tasted just as good as it smelled. We really enjoyed every dish, and the wings were a great addition – saucy and flavorful. If you’re a pizza lover, this spot is a must-try.

This place is awesome. First off I appreciate the cash and checks only lots of respect to opting out of the system so that was cool. So if you visit here just bring cash. If you don't have cash they have an atm. Service was great, pizza was 10/10. I got the chefs salad and ate two slices of my son's meat lovers pizza. The pizza gave me nostalgia for no reason . Overall a great experience and we will be returning with our family of 6 as we were missing half of the clan this time.

We stopped in last night on our way to our families for Thanksgiving. The restaurant was really busy but we were seated in about 5 minutes. Drinks were prompt and we ordered immediately. We waited for an hour and 15 minutes and no pizza. We were told by our server the pizza was in the oven and 10 minutes go by.... No pizza. We finally got up to leave and paid for the drinks. There was no comp for the drinks. No offer of free apps. It was disappointing from a customer service perspective. The pizza is good but it's not that good.

When you find yourself in Front Royal, VA you can expect to hear over and over that the best pizza in town is at Melting Pot Pizza. When my partner Elisabeth and I ended up here with our nephew we confirmed that is for a very good reason. First, when you walk into the store you might feel like you have gone back in time a bit to simpler days. It's not a time machine, that's just the atmosphere Melting Pot drips, it feels like a place that hasn't changed much since the 90's and that's a good thing. There are beer taps flowing, locals laughing and sports playing in the background. It's a comforting space that makes you feel welcome immediately, and despite the fact that the parking lot was full we were seated immediately by a very cheerful hostess. When we got to our seats we decided to try an appetizer each, and a pizza each as well. Our waitress came over to take our order and did so with no notes or writing utensils at all! That's trained skill, and when that happens you know you're either in danger or in for a real treat. First the appetizers. I got the hot wings, they came out very hot and flavorful. I would say for this Texas boy, they were a little more on the mild side so I would order xtra hot next time but the chicken was juicy and the outside was crisp. We also ordered the fried pepperonis. We didn't know exactly what to expect but this ended up being just that, fried slices of pepperoni - like little salty meat chips that you could dunk in ranch. We found them extremely addictive. Finally we got the bacon and cheese fries, I didn't try these but my nephew said they were good and that the cheesy was an oozy and gooey treat. In short order we recieved our pizzas. This isn't some doughy, thick crust that's going to send you home rolling on your belly. This is flat crust. The crust was simple, you could taste the olive oil; like a crust I could make at home if I had any idea what I was doing. The sauce was just right, tangy and tomatoey and the cheese was stretching on every bite. I got a classic pepperoni, my partner got the chicken Alfredo and my nephew got the All The Way and on each pizza the toppings were fresh and crisp. This is simple pizza, and that's exactly what Melting Pot is going for and has perfected. I'm giving it a 5/5 score because if you want a tasty pizza, and a great place to hang out in town this is your spot.

I heard lots of positives about this place and judging by how busy they were on a weekday, they are very popular, but I have to say, I wasn't too impressed. They make a very thin style of pizza, which is almost very crunchy, they crust is so thin. Then, they cut it into square slices, so if you tried to pick it up, it's literally a 2" square (or triangle if it's the outside). The toppings were great and they offer a lot of styles of pizza toppings. I wasn't too impressed with the overall flavor, the incredibly crunchy texture, nor the way the sauce tasted, which reminded me of Prego sauce from a bottle. Just my opinion - go try it for yourself.

Heard lots of good things about the place so tried it on one of our visits to Front Royal. Got a meat pizza and the chicken bbq. Meat one had lots of meat but needed some sort of seasoning to it. The chicken one had a lot of sauce that made it slippery and rough to eat. Overall it was good, just needed a little tweaking.

This is the best pizza in the area. It is not Italy but it is good pizza. They are delicious and generous toppings, tasty sauce and decent crust. Even the gluten free crust is way above the norm according to my wife.

Wow! Wow! I am so happy the state park employee told us about this place. We ate here 4 times on our week king vacation. We had something different each trip. 2 adults and 3 kids. The pizza is the best we have ever eaten and the fried pepperoni is so simple but delicious! Chicken wings were a huge hit with the kids and the other appetizers we tried were great. Every time our waitress was perfect! The best food industry service we have gotten in a long time! Oh yeah don't pass up the flavored icecream. Kids had the Cotten candy and hubby had the cool mint!

Lovely local vibe. Great food, great service. His favorite-Italian Hot sandwich. Mine-Pizza all the way. You know it is fresh made; the pizza takes longer than the sub. Enthusiastic service. Seven out of five stars.

The positive reviews here are very misleading in my opinion. My wife and I went here based on a friend's recommendation and the positive reviews here. Not only was the service extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY, slow. When our pizza finally arrived it was cut in squares instead of traditional triangles. Different...but the crust was so thin it was like eating cheese and ketchup on a saltine cracker. The sauce wasn't great, much too sweet. And too top off all of the negatives, the back dining room where we were seated was crowded, extremely loud and dirty!! All in all one of the worst pizza experiences that either I or my wife have experienced. The reviews look great, but I don't know why!!! Don't waste your time or money here...

Came here to try the pizza after it being suggested by a coworker. WAIT STAFF: Not overly friendly but not rude. RESTROOM: overall it was clean but there was pee in the toilet which was a little gross WAIT TIME: took about 25 minutes to get a small meat lovers pizza. Place was almost empty FOOD: small meat lovers pizza was middle of the road. Not bad where I wouldn't come again but not over the top great to rave about. Crust was super hard crunchy and Burnt on a portion of my pizza. A positive is the coverage of the toppings. Toppings covered the whole pizza. My coworker raves about the pazaz sauce but it wasn't life changing, just made the pizza have a slight spicy flavor. PRICE: paid a little over 18 bucks for a small pizza. I could get a better tasting pizza for slightly less, but if I am in Front Royal and crave pizza I might go back.

Traveling and came across this little gem in Front Royal. The wife does not like NY style pizza. This place has midwest style with thin cracker crust. And wow, the crust on this pizza is spot on, nice size pizza with lotsa toppings. I think the sauce or pizza itself might need some additional oregano, but all else was perfect. Service was fantastic, Thank You !

Been eatting at the Pot for 20+ years and it is always AMAZING. This place is by far the best pizza in 100 miles radius. From the fresh cheeses and meats to the killer pizzaz sauce this place never disappoints and is always a most well visiting.

We did a pickup order. We just moved here and received a coupon in the mail. We placed an order and brought it home. The wings are excellent not to hot not to mild just right. The pizza, called All The Way, out of its league. The crust was perfect and the toppings were even delicious. We will return and we will be dining in next time.

I've been to Melting Pot several times. Very good, except that the sauce seems bland to me. Just plain tomato sauce. It would be better if they would add a handful of oregano, basil, and rosemary to the sauce. I also don't like that they don't take credit cards. They did during Covid, but then stopped for whatever reason.

The dough and sauce aren't bad, but the toppings are bland straight out of a can. The pizza is expensive; $25. Drinks are also expensive, we ordered five unsweetened teas and it cost as much as the pizza, ridiculous. They use paper plates appx. 4 inches in diameter and cheap stryfoam cups to drink from. Service is mediocre but not terrible. No ambiance in this place what so ever. It's way to expensive for average to low quality food and service. Save your money and go get a frozen pizza.

Driving thru and was craving pizza. Bad choice! The crust reminded me of those thin frozen pizza crusts. The sauce didn't have any flavor. It seems it was just tomato sauce without salt. The pizza had lots of toppings. I selected onions, mushrooms, pepperoncinis, bell peppers and artichokes. I thought they used fresh mushrooms, canned. The worse pizza I've ever had. If you are a foodie, run!

funny because i lived near this place literally 3 min drive away and i never went here. until i moved out of this place and decided lets try melting pot as we heard people from virginia recommend this place. the food was pretty good comfort food and for the price and portions was worth it. there was unlimited refills as well. the parking space is pretty limited, especially during peak hours but people are in and out usually quick. we were seated fairly fast and we ordered a pizza and philly cheese steak sandwich. the pizza definitely did not disappoint on the cheese and we were so full by the end of the meal. their menu has a lot of options to choose from whatever you are craving, and the wait staff is very friendly. the restaurant inside gives homey diner vibes. overall, i would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a quick comfort eats!

The owner reached out here to make it look good. I had to email twice. Long story short, he made excuses instead of owning up to the subpar produce we received. He offered a credit. We live across the country so that means nothing. The pizza was gross and I stick by my review. Even if he did refund the poor product they delivered, I'd still have the same opinion.

Love love love this place. Been coming here since I was a kid in the 70s. I live in Fairfax and am always bringing my friends out to try this place. Fresh ingredients and best thin crust I've ever had. And the pizzazz sauce is a one of a kind. The staff are always friendly and the service is great.

The fact that this place has so many great reviews for their pizza is appalling to me. The crust was crispy and is the only positive thing I have from my dinner experience. The sauce was either nonexistent or just super bland. To be honest I'm not even sure my pizza had cheese on it since I had an entire salad buffet of raw vegetables thrown on the creation . I like toppings but I prefer them to be cooked. I absolutely understand why they don't take credit cards because I would have disputed the charges. Service was ok even though we went most our meal with no drinks. It was very busy but I have no clue why. I'm not from the area so maybe you have to be born here to enjoy this place but if you like pizza and you've had some travel in your life don't waste your time here.

Absolutely Fantastic Pizza!!! We are in town for college baseball summer league All-Star game just had to stop and get something to eat. This place absolutely killed it. We ordered one sausage, pepperoni pizza. It was so good. We had to order another one to go and take it 3 1/2 hours home for tonight or tomorrow. This place is a must stop.

Absolutely the best pizza I've ever had. I get it with pepperoni. Thin, perfect crust, when the slightest burn on it, and the pepperoni is amazing. Toppings all the way to the edges. So delicious! We usually get it to go and half is eaten before we can get home.

Ordered three pizzas for a work lunch. I told them when I would pick them up. When I arrived, they were piping hot with steam still coming out of the boxes - perfect! Beware that they are a CASH ONLY business. They cut the round pizza into a bunch of small squares...odd, but it permits taking as much or as little as one wants. The meat lovers' was the first one devoured. All were quite tasty.

Starting off the food was good, pizza was some of the best in the area. The reasons I'll not be back -service was extremely slow. They look to have on pizza oven for a large restaurant. -it was 15+ minutes till we were able to order. There was plenty of staff just standing around but no one offered to help the waiter. -Waiter never offered a refill on the drinks. -extremely small paper plates -way to much ice in the cups -The bacon cheese fries came out cool, with the cheese congealed (not stringy). -likely the smallest setting for hand towels in the bathroom. All these cons scream cheap ownership, squeezing the most out of their employees and customers.

I was very surprised at how good the pizza was. We ordered a regular cheese and a meat lovers pie with a side of BBQ wings. The delivery did take almost 1.5 hours but when I called up to find out I was told my order would be next for delivery and it did arrive hot and fresh. The meat lovers was delicious tons of meat topping but they didn't take away from the pizza itself. A thinner style crust but it held up well considering how much topping were on it. The pizza did not come cut into you traditional 8 slices but rather smaller rectangular size pieces which I didn't mind. The wings were large and plump and very meaty with a side of ranch and some celery sticks.

Realized I hadn't made a review about this place that my oldest and I went to on a Saturday yard sale trip. Happily surprised, we split a small pepperoni. Everything was great, decor is downscale (by design), staff was busy, but attentive.

Service was amazing, the place is always busy, got a couple of large pizzas with friends. The Pizza are definitely large and above average quality if you like a thin pizza. I would definitely recommend this family friendly spot to anyone in Front Royal. They don't take credit cards so come prepared to pay cash.

Been here several times as we absolutely love the buffalo chicken pizza, but definitely order it with ranch. We've never eaten inside we typically get it to go as it can be very busy and loud during peak hours.

Fantastic little "hole in the wall" pizzeria, in the very best sense of the phrase. Wood plank walls and simple booths and tables served by helpful and attentive staff. The pizza menu boasts an extensive offering of toppings to adorn hand-tossed crust with a homemade sauce recipe. The Melting Pot "Pizzazz" sauce boasts fresh garlic and red pepper while the "standard" sauce is a traditional tomato sauce. My husband and I chose the sausage pizza, half with Pizzazz sauce for his spicy-loving tastebuds; half "traditional" tomato sauce for my less adventurous palate. We have never seen a place offer to split SAUCES on pizza, but Melting Pot does!! This made for a delicious lunch on which neither my husband nor I had to compromise. But we did wonder... how will we tell the difference between our respective "sides"? So we asked our server and she was all too happy to not reveal the way... yet. She said with a grin, "trust me, you can. Just wait until I bring it." When she did, she smiled and said, "now do you see it?" We looked and there were some three small black olive slices on the crust. THOSE little adornments were the telltale clue: THAT side had the Pizzazz sauce! The flavor was there in every bite. My husband said there was more garlic than red pepper flavor on his side (I'm not a fan of peppers in general) and I was intrigued. I took a bite of "his" and was pleasantly surprised: rich garlic flavor with distinctive but not overpowering flavor of red pepper flakes. "My" side was flavorful with a crisp crust, the right amount of sauce and cheese; the sausage was well seasoned and delicious. The only thing we would change is the slicing style. Melting Pot does a "Chicago slice", making squares of a round pizza. Being Jersey natives, admitted pizza connoisseurs, and kind of traditionalists, we prefer the dare I say it, "New York slice" (triangles!!). Melting Pot has been open for 40 years and it's easy to see why: simple building filled with friendly faces and delicious pies. This is a must stop if you're a pizza fan or just looking for a lunch that doesn't break the bank. Our pie was less than $15.

This is the spot--and this is coming from a Chicago native... I have daydreams about the beautiful drive from DC to Front Royal, hitting up the Rural King and swinging by Melting Pot Pizza on the way home. The crust is just perfect! (ask for it well done). I order the "All The Way" but sub the Mushrooms for Black Olives, like the Supreme ones back in the day. Staff is all ways on point and love to eavesdrop on their conversations to other staff members about their customers, it's too funny. Beer is always cold and very reasonably priced. Locals are just the best, real down to earth people, not the fake suburbanites on the outskirts of DC. This place is Old School. I don't think you'll find a Tesla insight around Front Royal. Oh, forgot to mention...cash and checks are the only forms of payment, leave your Chime cards behind! Take the drive, breathe the fresh air and enjoy some great pizza and beer! You will not be disappointed.

We stopped at the Melting Pot Pizza while traveling thru the area and a quick search of Yelp . We found the thin crust of both pizzas we tried , unusual for us .We were throughly impressed by the crispy buttery taste of the crust . I had a chicken Alfredo white pizza and my daughter had a pepperoni pizza . Both were excellent. The place was busy especially for 4:00 on Monday but the service was great . We were seated right away and our orders taken quickly . The servers were pleasant. This atmosphere is like a family sports bar with a limited menu. When we smelled the pizzas, we skipped the heathier option of a salad with chicken tenders and went straight for the carbs . Oh well , it's a holiday, diet tomorrow. I do wish we had not had the ice cream dessert. The serving of soft serve ( not ice cream) was not worth the calories. I would recommend this eatery to others.

Could have been better. I really didn't like it so much and neither did my wife. Food was cold when it came out and really wasn't worth the price. The waitress never came back to ask if we needed refills on our drinks or if we needed anything. Don't think we will be going back.

This is a Front Royal cult classic, and it is best for dining in, this pizza does not travel well. They have multiple ovens that cook completely different so we always ask for front oven. Wings are excellent, I recommend getting them dry with sauce on side

I was very disappointed with the pizza. I live an hour away and bought only 2--a large All the Way and a small sausage and mushroom. My wife, who normally doesn't like pizza, LOVED it! So now I have to share it with her instead of hogging it all to myself. Gr-r-r-r-r-r. While claiming to be Chicago thin crust (or tavern-) style, I found it to be a bit more bland than Chicago (as one being born and raised there). Needs a tastier sauce or something. The crust, while a bit thicker than the cracker crust I'm used to in Chicago, was amazing. Having said this, I found it to be the best pizza I've had in Virginia, and I've travelled many miles to find good pizza (as a Chicagoan I love Chicago pizza). A neighbor of mine who was also from Chicago, told me about this place, so had to travel an hour to try! So glad I did!!
