Atlanta’s Best Coffee Shops | Eater Atlanta

"Mend Coffee & Goods is an accessibility-first coffee shop & community hub offering belonging to people of all abilities from the Hope Heals team (Katherine and Jay Wolf). The coffee shop’s staff is about 50-50 percent split between abled and disabled members. With a stunning interior, the coffee shop also has a small shop selling books, merchandise, candles, and more inside. The coffee roasting partnership is with Atlanta’s Bellwood Coffee." - Eugene Buchko

Google
All the reviews were spot-on in that the coffee is phenomenal here, which makes for a wonderful experience when paired with the beautiful aesthetics of the venue as well. Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that this establishment’s mission statement - to provide an all-accessible place to hang out, enjoy treats, work, and more - is alone something that speaks beyond mere visuals or taste of food. The drinks/food are very tasty, though expensive. Service is very fast, and the people working here are super kind. The place is quite loud with how popular it is, but there is ample seating conducive to working as well. Parking is incredibly easy to find and is free. I really love this coffee shop and would rank it near/at the top of those in ATL.

My experience at Mend was nothing short of wonderful. Staff are the friendliest and kindest people and the food was amazing. My lavender blueberry matcha was out of this world. It had a rich matcha flavor that so many places don't get right. So happy with my lunch there and will come back for sure. Toilets were impeccably clean.

I ordered a cup of coffee, and a breakfast biscuit with an egg and cheese. The coffee was great. The biscuit itself was light and fluffy. However, the egg was not seasoned. A little salt and pepper would have been sufficient. The sandwich was very bland and had no flavor. The service was fine. Even though they were busy, they were attentive.

It’s a beautiful shop that truly caters and offers support to everybody and anybody! It is absolutely accessible and kid friendly with some great, warming and welcoming service. I love their mission and came out to make sure I support. I knew I would enjoy myself the moment I stepped inside. The inside is beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside of the shop. The eggnog latte was delicious in that the flavors were balanced and I could taste the actual coffee which was brewed very well. The lox bagel was super yummy and well portioned in ingredients. Definitely recommend.

During our recent visit to Buckhead, Atlanta, we had the pleasure of discovering Mend Coffee & Goods, and it quickly became a highlight of our trip. This coffee shop offers more than just exceptional beverages and food; it provides an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the soothing and beautifully designed interior. The ambiance is both calming and inviting, making it an ideal spot to relax or catch up with friends. The menu boasts a delightful selection of coffee and food options. Everything was freshly prepared. What truly sets Mend Coffee & Goods apart is their commitment to accessibility and inclusion. This establishment is planned and designed to cater to individuals of all abilities. The space features lower tables and counters, a spacious restroom equipped with automatic door opener, grab bars, an adult changing table, and thoughtful design elements. The staff is really friendly and nice. In a city as vibrant as Atlanta, it’s refreshing to find a place that not only serves great coffee and food but also prioritizes creating a community space where everyone feels a sense of belonging. For those seeking a coffee shop that combines excellent offerings with a heartfelt mission of inclusivity, Mend Coffee & Goods is a must-visit. This is a definite five-star from us.

Went in on a Saturday and despite de long line the service was fast and great. I got a cappuccino and maccha with vanilla. Both were good. My favorite was the food. I ordered the avocado toast and the lox bagel. Both were absolutely delicious. I think for me it was also the bread quality. Simple as having a great bread made a big difference. My only wish would be that they open early the 7am.

I ordered a Brown Sugar oat milk iced coffee-they didn’t realize they were out of ice coffee so I was given the option of an iced latte or americano. I chose the iced latte and it was a great choice! The reviews on their lattes are accurate; very smooth and jut enough sweetness 👍🏾 Great atmosphere as well. They do a great job of balancing seating for sit down meals with others as well as a more secluded area to work. The only downside is that parking is difficult to find on the weekends.

Google
The coffee is exceptionally good. Look, I would have come here just to support the mission, which is super cool on its own, but the espresso is pleasantly robust and creamy. It’s also well priced for the location, so it’s a double (triple?) win. The blueberry balsamic muffin was flavorful, moist, and large. The staff were friendly and kind. It’s a great spot for kids, as the furniture is sturdy, there’s room to move and explore, and the clientele is smiley.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and accessible coffee shop! Staff are super friendly and there is plenty of seating. I enjoyed my blueberry lavender matcha drink and loved my almond croissant (lots of filling)! Can't wait to come back, try other items, and support a local coffee shop with a great mission. Didn't get many photos since I was having a great conversation with a friend :) great ambiance for that!

Yelp
Love men's so much! Great food and great staff! Super friendly and the menu always changes! Lots of seating options and spacious interior. Cute seating outside too.

Yelp
My latte was good (although I was sad they don't offer hazelnut )! However, the ambience and smells in here really stole the show. This place is beautiful and a perfect place to work on a sunny day! By far one of the best bathrooms I have ever entered it was so clean and smelled amazing They also have an outdoor area that's really cute and right beside Cava (for the win).

Yelp
I went to Mend for a bookclub meeting and all of us absolutely loved it! The tomato toast was fresh and delicious and the coffee was out of the world. The interior was so cute and chic. Staff was all very friendly, kind, and helpful.

Yelp
Love the concept of this beautiful cafe. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making sure I received my food and coffee fast as well as keeping the space mighty clean. Everyone was very friendly during my visit. It also wasn't too loud and found it to be a great place to get work done while enjoying a cappuccino and lox bagel without getting too distracted.

Yelp
Mend was a quick caffeine stop for me during a busy day. This cafe is decorated to the T! The flowers on each table and pleasant smell made me know that care was put into each little step of this place. The service was lovely with patient and very friendly staff. Dirty dishes were cleared off tables at lightening pace and I watched as each person who entered and exited got wished a good day. The coffee was a fair price for being in a prime buckhead location and I would love to revisit to check out some of their food options next time!

Yelp
Such a wonderful coffee shop in Buckhead! Not only does it have great drink drinks, but it also has an amazing gift shop kind of feel to it. While still maintaining a ton of seating on the inside and outside. On a recent trip to Atlanta, we visited on our first and last day because we loved it so much!

Yelp
Loved this place! Plenty of seating - indoor and outdoor. Great customer service! Plenty of outlets too. I enjoyed my iced chai tea latte. The ambiance was great!

Yelp
Really spacious coffee shop with plenty of seating as well as free parking and friendly staff. Enjoyed my coffee and they also have a large selection of baked goods!

Yelp
It's pretty rare now a days for me to give 5 stars at a coffee shop! But this place deserves it. I am so happy it opened and I think this may become my regular place now because the quality of the coffee is above a lot of ones in buckhead, with a better price and a very elegant ambiance. This place is perfect to come for a meet up with friends or a breakfast spot. The cafe seems like a grab and go with a pick up area for those on the move but they will also bring food to your table. Everyone was super nice but there wasnt much interaction past the ordering. They have a season kombucha that I think changes once a month but I am not confirmed on when they do that, so if you're a booch fan this might be the place for you! Their quiches are gluten free but they are limited on pastries that are.

Yelp
Coffee was really good and it was super fancy inside, looked like there was a lot of space to study with outlets too! Parking free in the parking lot

Yelp
I found Mend Coffee & Goods on Yelp and decided to try them out on yesterday. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, which is perfect for studying, working or enjoying a cup of coffee with a book! The decor is aesthetically appealing accompanied by very light and airy colors. The decor is very classy, chic, and elegant. It wasn't too busy but when I arrived there were no baristas at the counter to take my order. It didn't take long for them to appear and I was able to place my order. I ordered the iced caramel mocha and it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and probably one of the best iced caramel mochas I've had in a while. Prices are about average for a local shop and the cup sizes come in 12 or 16 ounces. If you're in the area or looking for a local coffee shop, be sure to check them out!

Yelp
If you come here you MUST get a warmed cookie. the service was good. The coffee was also delicious. It was very modern if you are in the area and looking for a coffee shop I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
1st time here. Beautiful inside this busy coffee cafe. Definitely a popular meeting spot. I ordered a SF vanilla latte to go. They take their time making your drink & it was such a great latte. Very smooth. They have pastries if you like too. Will be back!

Yelp
We finally got a chance to check out this new coffee shop in Buckhead! It was the second or third week they were open, so operations were running very smoothly. My first impression is that the space is much bigger than your average coffee shop. It was no problem finding a seat. And speaking of seats, their concept is an accessibility-first place, so there are all kinds of seating options for those with different abilities, including in the bathrooms. The next thing I noticed was the design! It is gorgeous inside and I would love for my house to be decorated using the same theme. There is a little nook to the right with some tables and outlets, and to the left is the "goods" portion of Mend Coffee & Goods. They have books, candles, clothing, etc. all tied to the accessibility theme. There is also a private room in the bak that you can rent for a meeting. Now onto the coffee, which was great. There is a small food menu, which I got some bread and butter from and it was delicious. The staff was fabulous and I plan on being back soon!

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly service, nice selection of decadent pastries, and a very pretty French-vibe atmosphere

Yelp
I was surprised to stumble across this new coffee shop in my neighborhood. Beautiful relaxed ambience. Delicious iced chai tea latte and cinnamon roll. Limited menu options but they do them well.

Yelp
Probably one of the best kept secrets in Buckhead! Mend Coffee just opened up and what a place this is! When you walk in, you're met with a well lit, spacious seating area surrounded by various alcoves for larger groups. They serve Bellwood coffee and they give you a plethora of options to choose from whether it be hot or cold, lattes to americanos. I really liked their avocado toast! They also have quiche offerings as well (goat cheese?) and everyone goes above and beyond in offering service with a smile and a coffee ready to be served. But what really sells you on this place is the heartbeat of it. The brainchild of Jay and Katherine Wolf who's story of medical tragedy and miracle and hope can drive you into a live that affords you the ability to also be agents of hope and redemption. From their story comes their organization, Hope Heals. A non-profit that specifically communicates this message of hope to the disabled community. Between the ambiance of a serene coffee shop that can hold its own against the big chain joints, the extremely friendly staff, and flavors of Bellwood coffee served hot or cold, this place is the place to be!!!

Yelp
The location is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The food was ok and the coffee drink could have been better. I had a latte that was only lukewarm and not as flavorful as I would have liked. I had to ask questions about and correct my order a couple of times during my visit. All in all this shop is serviceable and I may return.

Yelp
Mend Coffee & Goods is truly a unique local coffee shop that has a certain charm about it. No fancy or loud decor, just real cozy and inviting. With an all day breakfast and lunch menu that is simply satisfying! Try the Italian sandwich and the Avocado Toast! Mend also makes sure to be inclusive with staffing a few very friendly individuals with disabilities proving there is room for everyone to shine!!

Yelp
Wow, I might've found a favorite coffee shop in Atlanta! This is like walking into a dream or a movie set. The "set design" is SO classy and elegant. Muted colors, clean and open, airy, light-filled, and no loud music playing. Not overly crowded either, surprisingly. It can get a little louder just because the patrons are talking throughout the room. But the coffee--chef's kiss. The food, a little pricey, but chef's kiss. It has everything I want in a coffee shop: relaxed & airy ambiance, quiet-ish atmosphere, not crowded, plenty of free parking, great coffee, refills on the drip $1 each, clean bathrooms, plenty of outlets and wifi. On top of all that, the place has a mission, a Christian connection, and is ADA accessible ALL OVER, from the 2 french doors that will open for you, to the bathrooms! Plus, if you do get hungry and want to step out for a lunch break, plenty of healthy food options nearby, including CHOPT--a salad place. I'm definitely going back.

Yelp
This is one of the cutest coffee shop that I've been to around Buckhead, there's plenty of study space and the environment is just so lovely. The latte was also pretty good!

Emily B.

Yelp
What a lovely hidden gem! Visited on a Saturday afternoon and will definitely be back. The interior is designed beautifully, very spacious, plenty of seating and bright natural light coming through. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Our orders came out very quickly. I believe their pastries are from The Buttery, so you can't go wrong with the croissants. Their coffee is also great. The espresso blend has a smooth and balanced flavor (and they don't charge extra for oat milk!), and not too sweet if you order it with a syrup. If you're not an espresso fan, their cold brew is also fantastic - not overly bitter but strong and refreshing. I'm so happy this place opened and can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Everyone should go to Mend Coffee & Goods. Not only were the drinks delicious, but the ambiance and service were incredible. What I particularly like about this cafe is that they hire employees of all backgrounds. They give opportunity to all people regardless of gender, race, ability/disability, and they all wear such beautiful smiles!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Love this spot! The vibe inside is really nice, and it looks so pretty! Their coffee is pretty good and they do amazing latte art! Definitely will be back

Yelp
Super cute when you walk in. Clean lines, modern. Service: the cashier Will (I think) not so awesome. I couldn't hear him, he had his head down the entire time, he didn't smile or welcome me and then turned his back on me as soon as I ordered so I didn't have a chance to get anything else. The other cashier right next to him took the lead in being super polite. Food: sandwich is good but the service won't bring me back.

Douglas F.

Yelp
A hidden gem with good food! And the ice tea was made fresh over ice. The interior design is beautiful.

Sarah P.

Yelp
Really cute coffee shop. Cozy inside. We had the turkey pesto grilled cheese, salad, and eggnog latte. Everything was delicious. They are very disability friendly and inclusive which is awesome.

Gail W.

Yelp
Great coffee but someone needs to run over to Costco and get new croissants! The one I ordered this morning was barely eatable. Last time there I got an apple danish...also not fresh. .

Camille B.

Yelp
This coffee shop is exactly what Buckhead needed! Such a cute vibe with good coffee! Everyone is so nice and it's such a welcoming environment! Would recommend to everyone!

Danielle A.

Yelp
Great coffee and very affordable. Also amazing place to sit and do work. A new favorite!!
