The Best Restaurants On Coral Way

"We wish every gas station in Miami was like Mendez Fuel. You can definitely pick up a Zephyrhills and a pack of American Spirits here, but please don’t let that be the only thing you do. This convenience store located in a Mobile gas station is so well curated that it puts a lot of so-called gourmet shops to shame. We love it for its selection of sake and craft beers along with adaptogen-infused tonics that are perfect when you’ve discovered that last night’s partying has come at a price. The snack selection is solid, too, and includes some made-in-Miami favorites like Exquisito Chocolates and Pastelito Papi." - carlos c olaechea, ryan pfeffer

The Best Things We Ate This Week

"Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Cups From Exquisito Chocolates We stopped at this gas station/convenience store on Coral Way for a bottle of water and found the Cave of Wonders. Besides having an amazing selection of wine, sake, craft beers, and even adaptogen-infused beverages to alleviate the effects of last night’s borrachera, they sell Miami’s very own Exquisito Chocolates. While we love the chocolate maker’s Little Havana storefront, it’s nice to know we can find their exquisite chocolates after they close shop for the day and on their days off. Their take on peanut butter cups are made with hazelnut ganache, and the description on the packaging says it better than us: “Picture if your favorite childhood treat went off and got its PhD.” These little bonbons really do feel like an upgraded version of what you’d get in your trick-or-treat bag." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea

Mendez Fuel - Review - Coral Gables - Miami - The Infatuation

"This small local chain of convenience stores has a handful of locations throughout Miami. We like their Coral Way shop for its proximity to some great restaurants. And while you can fill your car up with regular unleaded here, we feel that the “fuel” in Mendez Fuel actually applies to filling your belly. We love their selection of electrolyte-infused waters and adaptogen-enhanced tonics, including a selection of alcohol-free cocktails that actually taste good. But Mendez Fuel also has a selection of great local craft beer, wine, and sake. Make sure to grab one of Miami’s very own Exquisito Chocolate bars or other made-in-Florida snacks while you're there." - Carlos C Olaechea

Sometimes, the Best Wine Shop Is Your Local Gas Station | Eater

"At a corner Mobil station on Coral Way and 32nd Avenue, an unexpectedly curated selection of small-producer wines — including Subject to Change’s Sleepless Nights, a Lo‑Fi cab franc, and Martha Stoumen’s Post Flirtation — sits alongside craft beers and six-packs. The family-run Miami chain transformed from standard convenience-stock into a craft-beer destination after one of the brothers began sourcing less-common brews (Chimay, Lagunitas, Funky Buddha) in 2012, added growlers in 2014, and even launched a private-label lager with a local brewery. When pandemic lockdowns drove online orders, the store leaned into natural wine, shifting shelf space from beer to wine and building relationships with small natural-wine distributors (often buying three-bottle trials) to stock limited releases. The shop attracts many customers in their late 20s and 30s looking for natural and niche bottles, offers hands-on, personalized recommendations from staff, and positions curation and local relationships as the value proposition despite prices that can be a dollar or two higher than larger retailers." - Patty Diez

Google
It is truly a wonderful place to visit. Not simply a gas station. A decent wine selection. Fresh sandwiches. And a wonderful automatic car wash. The owner is very friendly. Upon request, he will give you a car wash club membership card.

Kaidan Hernadez

Google
I have nothing bad to say about this place. The staff is very friendly, it's well stocked with healthy drinks and unhealthy drinks (beer, wine, THC, kratom), plenty of snacks, and a cafeteria with tasty options. It also has a car wash and air pump. What you would expect to the gas station and more.

Jennifer H.

Google
Not a fan of their car wash. Uses a lot of soap and water, but left my car dirty and the blower is not enough time to dry a regular sized car. I bought the 2nd tier carwash for $10.

lily mustelier

Google
I can’t comment on the gas as I have an electric car, however, this is my spot for natural wines. They’ve also got a lot of amazing local snacks. The owner is the best!

Google
Ac machines smell and look in bad condition. Person working at night always has an attitude. They run out of everything.

Google
Amazing açai bowls!! Bigger size than everywhere else.. Yes, it’s in a gas station shop, but this cafe is a hidden gem! And the staff are so attentive and caring, you’ll come back! Can’t recommend enough!

Los Vazquez

Google
It's a Goldmine, they have types of unique brews and foods. The Acai bowl was amazing, not your typical gas station. They also have a great car wash.

Alejandro Capella

Google
Great place during the day, amazing food and the girls at the counter lovely service….by night we have Mr. Jesus. Oh! Lord I don’t know if this man needs a hug or what’s sup but he will give you the worst attitude and that look like he hates you and your are stealing some Oreos and a Coke. Smile man, smile. You and everyone deserves to be look in the eyes and treated right.

Yelp
If only all gas stations were like Mendez Fuel gas stations! The truth is, I never come here to put gas in my car. I come here because I'm obsessed with the Super Caveman Smoothie (chocolate, tyvm) and it's the only place in Miami with a kick ass mocktail, natural wine, craft beer, AND fun snacks selection. And of course, I can't forget to mention the order & go counter service. Today was the second day in a row that I went to order my smoothie and I love how the lovely lady remembered me. The station itself is very clean. And everyone I've ever encountered there has always been very nice. Check, check, and check! Mendez Fuel is a must try!

Yelp
I always come here for vegan pastelitos and their money latte! This is also a great spot for craft beers as they have an endless selection that isn't available everywhere. This is also my favorite place for pitaya bowls, and I always come to get some for my dad. I've had them from other places and no place is as good. They also have really unique treats throughout the the store; drinks, ice cream, yogurts - all brands and items you can't find everywhere, not even at grocery stores. It might look like just a gas station to you, but take a peek inside and be surprised!

Yelp
For years I've heard about Mendez Fuel and haven't popped in. Recently on a girls night we ran out of rosé. Since this is obviously a problem, my friend and I walked on over to pick up some more wine. Who would have thought in this little unassuming gas station there was one of the most amazing natural wine and craft beer selections you ever did see. In the last month I've been about 3-4 times, so you know that I am a fan. I'm not super well versed in Natural wine, but many of my friends are. I recognize a lot of the labels here from wines I know are very good. They don't only have natural wines, I was just most impressed with this selection of them at a gas station. While I haven't bought beer (yet) their craft beer selection is HUGE! They also of course have some regular gas station treats and a little deli with eats that I will be trying soon. Pumping gas has always been one of my least favorite adulting tasks to do, but with Mendez Fuel I am thinking this beer, wine and treats selection will be me go-to spot to make that errand much better.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches just had the pavo club, everything is fresh, looking forward to trying a different one next visit

Yelp
I was very dissapointed at this gas station.I was there on 1/30/23 at 6:am in the morning and asked the gentleman for the keys to use the bathroom. his answer was a gesture with his hand pointed around his neck. There was another gentleman there.they were both talking. I am a 68 years lady . I have never experienced this in the United States. It was an emergency.

Yelp
I've been coming to Mendez fuel for about 2 years now and never reviewed them!! How dare me! One of the best Acai bowls in Miami and never disappointed. The portion given would anyone with an Acai craving satisfied. I also get their chicken empanadas which are filled from top to end. So yummmy!

Yelp
I moved into the area recently and was told by a co worker about Mendez Fuel. This is not your average gas station. This place has a huge beer selection and a very tasty deli. We came into the store and the manager and/or owner came over and helped us select the beers we were looking for. They had every type of beer that you could imagine. My girlfriend went with the a drink called Two Chicks cocktails in a can. I highly suggest those as they are a vodka drink with a very delicious peach flavor. We then ordered from the deli and got the detox and Super monkey smoothies. Both we absolutely delicious. We then ordered the ham and cheese empanada and the beef empanadas. These are not baby empanadas. These are big boy empanadas that are stuffed to the max I will 100% be coming back to Mendez fuel as they have a large variety of beers and a good selection of food.

Yelp
Been stopping here intermittently for years. Great little spot on coral way. I wouldn't say it's a tourist spot but great for us locals. Perfect the grab and go. Amazing selection of beers and a fair amount of good wines. They also have great selection of Miami's favorite small bites, such as croquettes and empanadas.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Found out about this place through a vegan cookie place I like that sells their cookies here. I stopped in for the first time today and there were a lot of unique food and beverage options, even though it's not very big I spent at least 20 minutes looking at their selections, so many interesting beers & wines I would like to try! I also would like to go back and try their food sometime. The staff was super friendly and helpful, giving recommendations and they even gave me an ale on the house after I mistakenly thought it was for sale. Wish it was closer to where I live, but I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Not just your local gas station convenience store!!! Don't assume there's just a little deli or those hot dogs that seem to be rolling forever in the back. The food served here is legit! I vouch for this place often and many people are surprised when entering. The location is small but organized, clean, and decorated really nicely with custom painted menu signs and white subway tile walls. The menu has a nice variety of fresh and made to order smoothies, juices, açaí bowls, salads, and sandwiches. I can easily say this place has one of the best açaí bowls in Miami. The hulk one is my go to but there is something for everyone and are accommodating to any modifications! All the sandwiches are also good but I especially love the vegetarian Hippie Dippie. Oh and the baked goods!! A nice assortment of huge made in-house empanadas and pastelitos (even some vegan ones!) The store itself also has a great selection of beer and craft drinks, even CBD ones. Only downfall is there's usually only one person working the counter so if there's a line expect to wait a good amount of time as they have to take the order and make the food one by one. I'd also recommend ordering to-go as there isn't a comfortable sitting area besides a small counter. Definitely a great local healthy lunch option!

Yelp
From the street, you wouldn't find it. Heavily advertised as a Mobile gas station, however once you reach the front door you'll see a few small stickers advertising Mendez Fuel. The other Mendez's have actual advertising and storefront visuals. This store presents and acts as a Mobile first, as 95% of the customers I saw in line were there for lotto, bathroom keys, or gas purchases. The female pouring my crowler was awesome and she bumped up the score to 3 stars. Their lines are cleaner, from what I'm currently tasting, than the others. Super narrow aisles and I had to wedge myself between the paying customers and the beer. I'll come back if something good is on tap. Ohhh! If you want BCBS, they have boxes of them.
google avatar

Yelp
Mendez Fuel is a legit boutique beer and wine store that happens to also be a gas station w an adjacent drive thru car wash. The selections of beers/wine available are from local and not so local breweries and wineries. You have ever rotating options on tap to fill your growlers. The snacks available are health conscious and very delectable as well. Staff member Carmen was extremely helpful and well informed on what breweries and beers were on tap and was able to recommend a new selection to consider. I will continue coming to Mendez for all my craft beer needs!

Yelp
This place is so cool! We came by on a quick whim when my friend wanted some coffee. As soon as we walked in we knew we found something special. Think of the beer section of Whole Foods packed into this little store. They had a great selection of snacks, too, and even had beer on tap where I got their "big ass can" of local beer. It was awesome! Needless to say, we left with more than we came for and had an awesome experience. Definitely check this place out!
google avatar

Kyle K.

Yelp
Best craft beer selection and the nicest employees and owners! They're always so nice to me and my brother whenever we walk in to purchase more of their huge selection! Come to Mendez I promise you won't regret it!

Yelp
Ordered through Eat24. If I only got the acai bowls, I would have given this place 4 stars. I also ordered a salad and my GF got a sandwich. My salad (stairway to heaven) was essentially a large bowl with a small spinach farm in it, 63746276243728 lbs of bean sprouts, a sprinkle of hemp seeds, 2 slivers of avocado, 4 strawberries, and like 4 slices of turkey. They didnt even send the dressing. Hard to enjoy a dry salad. I will never not have salad dressing in my house again. My GF got the I love Italy sandwich and was not impressed with it at all. It was soggy (perhaps they dumped my salad dressing on it?) For $11 and $9 respectively, not worth it! The Wynwood bowl is phenomenal. I wish I would have only ordered that because it was really really really good. It's a shame the other crummy food was ordered because it really diminishes my desire to order from here, even the Wynwood bowl, again.
google avatar

Sondra S.

Yelp
This is a gas station with a convinience store and mini cafeteria in the back. The cafeteria serves empanadas, salads, avocado toasts, health juices and smoothies freshly prepared. It's more of a pickup and go kind of place, but they have a small counter with four chairs so you can sit and enjoy your beverage and food. The convinience store has a variety of wines and beers that are not often seen in many places. They also have some CBD options available. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's one of my favorite places to go.
google avatar

Julio H.

Yelp
Warning: Don't call and have anything put on hold, or ask about the beers on tap. Calling on the phone is useless, and no one will own up to having taken your call once you show up. Save yourself the time, fuel, and indignation. On the other hand, drop by if you are near. They have really good bottles, and really good growler fills. I have scored several amazing beers that were not even growlers at their point of origin. Score! Mendez Fuel is a gas station with a 16 tap wall, all available to fill a growler or can. Prices are decent, $1 per can, I can't remember how much for the growler, plus the price of the beer you want. No brainer. Too bad you can't taste anything before you buy, but I never really had a problem with quality. If anything, return the growler and ask for money back. The bottles are also really good. Mendez Fuel also sells juices, sandwiches, wines, and normal gas station stuff.
google avatar

Yelp
Hey, meet me at Mendez Fuel and we'll have lunch! Yes, they serve made to order sandwiches! Or how about an açaí bowl? Fresh juice? Smoothie? Tea? Coffee? How about breakfast? I'm not kidding! What a lovely place to get a growler of beer or maybe a crowler. They have a huge selection of craft beer that any beer aficionado would be excited about. The staff is quite friendly as well. We sat down at the counter and I ordered the pavo club. Turkey, avocado, bacon, blue cheese, tomato and a huevito, you can't asked for a tastier sandwich. It was served with papitos and it certainly hit the spot. We walked away with a nice 32 oz growler of craft suds that we totally enjoyed at a home. About a week later I returned with a friend and the growler. I purchased another growler of a fantastic brew and I was provided a new clean growler for my tasty beverage. You can't beat it!

Eliza J.

Yelp
I make a stop at this Market weekly! I absolutely love it in here, so so many amazing options that you can't find at other stores in the area. All of the staff are super friendly and eager to help you! You need to check this place out!!!!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
I come here almost every Saturday after walking in Key Biscayne. The staff is very friendly, specially the girls behind the table making fresh sandwiches and food. Pretty good variety of wine and beers, also a fair amount of healthy stuff if you're into that. The cold pressed organic juices are pretty expensive but well worth it and tasty.

Dave M.

Yelp
I have made many visits to Miami over the years and the one problem I have always found is there aren't any stores that sell good craft beer. That is until today! My first visit (one of many more to come) was a beer lovers dream!!!! Yes, it's a Mobil gas station but once you step inside you are surrounded by racks and coolers of top quality ( not commercial!) craft beer, seltzers and wine. On top of it I was approached by Andrew who took the time to understand what I liked and made some excellent recommendations. The store also has a growler filling station and expansive menu of made to order and prepared food. I even bought some swag for the trip back to Philly! Make Mendez a destination next time your in Miami an you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Alexa C.

Yelp
You know that whole trend in Doral where the gas stations are actually cool? This place picked up on it. I always thought of this place as the as station with the impossible u turn area by the LA Fitness but it's actually much more. I came in here years ago to buy some crafty beer and while they stocked it, it wasn't in abundance just small amounts of quality. Now, they'll fill your growler for you with some artisanal stuff and make you second-think a corner gas station. Lots of craft stuff line the racks and most of it isn't cooled but it's better than a Heineken any day of the week. It's always open and you can fill your tank at the same time while avoiding a generic liquor store. Inconspicuous yet refined, I'll be back for my dosage.
google avatar

Ambar C.

Yelp
They always have the best selection of craft beers. It is so awesome to know you can get growlers and also crowlers (cans) so it last longer if you are not going to drink it right away. They also have a great selection of smoothies, juices, and healthy sandwiches. Also acai bowls and other fruit bowls. Great array of paleo snacks as well. The juices are delicious and well worth the price! I did a juice cleanse once and it was the best tasting one by far, definitely recommend it. But the beer is the best part, really good variety close to home.
google avatar

FullMetalJacket C.

Yelp
You'll be shocked when you walk in. You'll forget that it was a gas station you just walked in instead of a fancy deli counter or boutique wine shop with a selection of the best wines and beer. You see this place is pretty unique, the food is fresh, craft beer is on tap, and the best empanadas in this town are made here! The ladies behind the counter are polite and work quick to get your order. The owner is usually around, a super friendly guy that believes in customer service, and knows about craft beer! Yeup this is a gas station, i couldn't believe it either.
google avatar

Janet C.

Yelp
I live down the street and had never ordered from the cafe inside the gas station. I decided to try the 305 açaí bowl and wow! It was an enormous amount they served and it was delicious! Worth the price and quality. I will definitely be trying the other items on the menu. They also have a variety of empanadas, croquetas and cafecitos and the gas station itself offers a variety of different craft beers from our local breweries which is really neat! I picked up a banana beer I have not tried yet from a Hialeah brewery cause I love me some hefeweizen beer!!!!
google avatar

Cristina O.

Yelp
I ordered for the first time today and while I wanted to love it, my order was just ok... I had the "Super Berry" smoothie (coconut mylk, mixed berries, bananas & hemp seeds) and the "No Woman, No Cry" avocado toast (avocado, nutritional yeast, turmeric, flax seeds, olive oil and lemon). At $9 for the smoothie, I was expecting tons of flavor but unfortunately, it was pretty bland. The main flavor being coconut water & banana. The avocado toast was also just ok. Not the best avo toast i've had but definitely not the worst. I'll be back to try sone of the other menu items soon.
google avatar

Kemal K.

Yelp
Where do I begin? First, the little sandwich place inside is a health hazard. They microwave eggs and I'm not talking about some left overs, they microwave eggs straight out of the shell. A HEALTH HAZARD AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT! The car wash is either broken down or it doesn't wash any car properly, soap duds and dirt are always left behind. For $13 I do expect a good wash. Gas is at least 10-12 cents more expensive than any other gas station on the street. For the very first time I'm shocked at how horrendous a place could be. -1 stars please
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
Five stars for a great concept. A health conscious cafe, fresh juice bar, delicious craft beers you can take home in an affordable can or growler... the food can get pricey, and the beers on the store shelves are definitely pricey, but as they say, you get what you pay for: it's clear they use fresh, quality ingredients. That said, $9 for a delicious sandwich doesn't seem so crazy. I will definitely be back to try more items on their menu.
google avatar

Helen M.

Yelp
Cutest little bakery inside! The bowls and the avocado toast are my favorite. (WYNWOOD BOWL ADD BERRIES YOU WON'T REGRET IT) all the ladies that work there are extremely sweet and helping- they also make their own beers, and they also have a lot of different craft beers
google avatar

Xiani C.

Yelp
Not only is the beer selection amazing but also the service is great! Carmen does everything in her power to make every experience we have there a great one. Thank you Carmen!
google avatar

Maria Teresa D.

Yelp
You guys!...price of cortadito shot up from $1.50 increasing to $2.50!!! Just cross the road, go to Sergio's instead where you get a great cortadito for $1.35. I understand perhaps 50 cents increase, but this is just greedy. Daily cortaditos for me and my workforce now at Sergio's!
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
The business name is called Mendez fuel but it is also a Mobile Mart Gas Station. The best part of this place is that inside you will find a huge selection of craft beer. They also carry wine sodas and regular snacks that you would find in a convenient gas station inside they have a small cafeteria and they serve pastries and sandwiches I haven't had a chance to try them yet but when I have more time I will stop. The ladies behind the counter are always nice and friendly.

Ivy R.

Yelp
The staff is amazing but one in particular always stands out.. La Señora Carmensita. She's attentive and always serves with a smile. The 305 bowl melts in your mouth and the empanadas are tasty. For a quick fix like a juice cleanse come to Mendez. You won't be disappointed. Gracias equipo y gracias Carmensita por siempre recordarte de mi.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Have no idea why this new place opened up in what was formally a 7-11, Quick Stop, and some other convenience store that all went belly up. Anyway, they put some money into the place and it looks nice. Supposedly it's a mix of a juice place, with healthy organic snack options (protein bars, gluten free healthy chips/snacks) as well as your regular saturated unhealthy foods. Did notice some empanadas but they looked old & dried up. It has a nice but small selection of craft beers along with your major brands. What is unique is they have a selection of rotating taps tucked away towards the back of the store. You can purchase either a growler or large bottle of your favorite beer. Two negatives for me. 1) when I asked the lady behind the counter (who did not speak English) if I'd be able to refill a growler I already had (from Funky Buddha) she said No. Then I asked her okay if I purchase one of your growlers / large bottle would I be able to refill it when I was done and she said No again. I would have to buy a new one. 2) when I asked her if I can try a sample of this porter I was interested in she told me No again. That was 3 No's, I was done. They lost my business! Two things that would probably help this place is generate more sales is: 1) give small tasting samples 2) allow the customs to at least refill the Mendez Fuel growlers/bottles I wasn't about to spend money on a beer that I won't know if I would enjoy so I went the conservative route and bought a 6 pack of a beer that I know.

Gabriel D.

Yelp
The best gas station deli in Miami. Many options to choose from. It's a boutique gas station

Yelp
When living in Miami just wasn't enough to get me to the gym anymore, fuel juice was yelp godsend. No, not because of all the fancy snacks and superjuice stuff they have, it's because of those growlers. Now I'm guilted into working out whenever i need a growler fix since my gym is a block away. Located in a Mobil gas station, the "Mendez fuel" cafeteria takes up the majority of the building. When you walk in you are greated by racks of beer (mostly crafts) and even some wine. Just past that you have the cafeteria area where they serve up some delicious sandwiches, gluten free snacks, fruit bowls, other "healthy" snacks / muffins from 'Craveclean' bakery, organic juices and over 10 craft beers on tap. The growlers come on 3 forms. Glass jugs in either 32oz / 64oz or a "big ass can". Either way you go, they are SEALED once filled. Stating that the growlers promote drinking and driving is absurd. I've come here 3 days in a row and the list of beers on tap was a little different every time. Looks like once a keg is done, they throw a different beer into rotation. The majority of beers on tap are "Florida brewed" and they even have a few S.Fl breweries on deck regularly. I tried their 'Pavo club' sandwich on my first visit and it was awesome, surprisingly. Only thing I'll ask for on my next PC is a lighter hand on the blue cheese. You wouldn't think that a little gas station cafeteria would make a good sandwich but this unassuming alchy spot can also please your stomach so good. The fruit bowls look pretty awesome too but I'm a little hesitant at $10 a pop. It's an order and go type of place. No alcohol consumption allowed on or around the property. Some of the stuff can be pricey, but that's the name of the game with all this healthy organic garbage. Is it the best cafeteria in the world? No, but it is the coolest i've found in a gas station. So as far as gas station food / drink spots go, this one is a 5 star.

Yelp
It was my first time time at Mendez Fuel Tuesday, and I'm so happy I popped in. I first came across them on Instagram, and they have such a cool concept! They carry the hard to find Siete food and Coconut Cult brands which I picked up. Fill up your tank and then fuel up at their healthy market. They also have tons of craft beer and wine options as well as yummy healthy treats too. Definitely gotta try out the Crave Clean sweets and counter sammies.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. The list of beers they claimed to have on Untappd got me here. However most of what was listed was not in stock. Two staff members on site. Neither spoke a word of English. Neither had a clue about any of the beers. Terrible terrible terrible service.
google avatar

Jonathan V.

Yelp
Ok, let me start this of by telling you that if you haven't been here yet, you should drop whatever it is you are doing and come. Why you may ask. Well, this isn't your run of the mill gas station. Honestly, you wouldn't be able to tell to much from the outside, but once you walk in, it's a whole other story. Let's start of by saying that they have beer on tap, not one, not two, no not even three. They have over 10 different beers ready to be served up in one of their "Big Ass Cans" or one of their 32 or even 64 ounce growlers. Can't commit to any of those, no worries they have a ton of craft beers ripe for the picking... I mean drinking. They also get some of the rarest brews to hit Miami, just make sure to get here early or they'll be gone before you arrive. If beer is not your thing, I understand and don't worry they have raw organic cold-pressed juices which are delicious and super healthy for you. They have salads, bowls of fruit and what not and sandwiches which are amazing. If you're still not on your way here, drop the phone and hurry on up. Happy Eating!

Yelp
I know exactly what you're thinking- "how can a gas station get 5 stars?!" Well, because this my friends is not your run of the mill gas station! Even though I literally live around the corner from here, it wasn't until they started carrying their amazing assortment of paleo goodies that I started frequenting them. They have an assortment of paleo, primal, gluten free, and any other hip-and-trendy- diet you can think of goodies! They carry a selection you can't even get at whole foods! My favorites are Steve's Paleo kits and the Epic bars which are, for a lack of a better word, epic! Bison cranberry protein bar...yes please! They also have local favorites as well. They have recently revamped their deli and are now offering amazing sandwiches along with fresh, organic, pressed juices, and my current fave: açai bowls! If that's too healthy for you, have no fear, beer is here! The only place you can get your own growler & fill 'er up! As I said, this is way more than a gas station. The guys who run the place are definitely beer aficionados and you can tell the minute you walk in as you have a plethora of craft beers welcoming you. Make sure you stop by and visit this haven soon...I guarantee you'll be back...and not for the gas!!!

Yelp
A gas station. What is a gas station? By definition, it's somewhere you can get gas, beer and maybe some other small odds and ends. Now, have you ever thought constantly about a gas station? Made plans with people to go to a gas station? Me neither ..... until today! Let's start off by saying that they have over 10 different types of beer on tap, beers which you can purchase and take home in a "Big Ass Can" or growler. 32 ounces of delicious beautiful beers. My husband decided for the Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti. But don't worry if you want more than just draft, they have plenty of craft beers stocking their shelves and fridges. And if you're not into wonderful brews, then no worries, they have amazing raw organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, bowls, sandwiches and some pretty delicious empanadas. Oh yea, you can also get gas!

Yelp
I have come to this place to pump gas and get the car washed for years. However, ever since they changed the washer from touch-free to the type that has the brushes, I stopped washing my car here. I've seen the inside develop into a good place for craft beer selection. The downfall is the staff. They have rude employees working behind the counter at the eatery. One of them snapped at me for greeting him. I have never seen anything like it in my life. If you want healthy options, there are plenty of other places in the area that serve the items they offer here. I would save yourself from their employees ruining your day with their negative vibes. That's all folks!

Yelp
This gas station has a secret: they sell some of the best beer in Miami! But not just bottled beers from the cooler. They have taps setup and seller growlers of craft beers from Funky Buddha to Wynwood Brewing Company. For those who don't know, a growler is a 32oz beer jug that is filled to order with craft beers. Mendez fuel sells these growlers for about $7 and then has beer for another $7 and up. Once you buy a growler, you can trade in your empty for a full one and only pay for the refill! I've been about three times now and love it. They also sell fresh sandwiches such as the Vietnamese style roast beef with tangy sauce on a baguette and fresh juices and smoothies. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking it out! The staff is very nice and happy to answer any questions. Plus, they get new beer in all the time, so there are plenty of options to choose from. Follow them on IG @MendezFuel.

Yelp
Oscar Mayer meats on stale bread pretty much sums up this overpriced gas station sandwich shop. I don't see that the appeal is by others, but, the sandwich I had the other day when I was there was on par with a gas station Subway franchise. Also, their gas is always overpriced for the area.

Yelp
A great local eatery that offers deli offerings and some of the best craft beers on tap. I routinely visit here to try different taps of various craft beers. A uniquely different type of place worth stopping by. They sell growlers which you take home and recycle upon return. A new but great stopover for your beer craving.

Yelp
Trying to find this place was confusing because once I got to the intersection I couldn't see anything that said Mendez Fuel. I saw a Mobil gas station and figured that this must be it! Inside were a wide selection of craft beer, rare beer, and bombers. There was a juice bar and I didn't see the taps but if I had more time I would have stopped for a drink! So it went that I found my favorite Chicago beer on the planet for the taking and loaded up on some Off Color Dinosmores. Mendez Fuel is clearly the greatest gas station on the planet.

Yelp
Mendez fuel is not a good place to shop for beer at, their beers dont sell enough and theyre old and "skunked", the sign at the register that states that all beer sales are final should serve as a warning to stay away. They know as well as I do that the craft beer fad in miami is dying down and thats why they had to close down one of their first locations but this is only one of the problems. their staff is rude and self entitled and I often have to wait upwards of 5 minutes for the cashier to do the simple task of stepping out of the booth, putting a pastry in a paper bag and handing it to me. If I performed that way on my own job I'd be rightfully fired. Mendez Fuel sells these horrible empanadas that are bone dry and specifically the one that's made from meat is practically 50% T.V.P or Textured Vegetable Protein. What seems like a giant luscious $4 empanada turns to be a scam in the end. meat neither feels nor tastes that way and anybody with a third of a discernible palate would tell you. they carry lines of products that are locally made "in the west coast" and due to the fact that nearly no one buys them, they tend to be past their prime just like the beer and wine they sell. on their website, the pictures for 4 different locations where taken; 3 in the same store at SW 32nd Ave. and Coral Way and one of them is from the store that is no longer open. I havent been to the other places but I wouldnt be surprised if there wheren't any beers on tap there at all and if they do have taps at the other places they're doing themselves a great de-service with their shoddy tricks.

Yelp
I liked this place. It has a very good local beer selection, and a few high end visitors. This place, and its growler filling station 3 minutes from my house had my loyalty... ...right up to the point when they refused to fill an outside growler. I won't be back. I am not dropping the $15 they charge for new glass because I grabbed the wrong growler. Change this idiotic policy, and I will give the the 5 they would otherwise get.

Yelp
Just had the nastiest smoothie ever from here. I've given them 3 chances now in hopes that a decent healthy food option would be within walking distance from my house but they just lost a major potential customer (and I'm gonna tell all my friends to avoid this place as well!). This current smoothie is so watery and gross and WARM (how?!) ... I'm sure a cat with 3 legs could've done better at making a smoothie. At almost $10 a pop? Hell no. I always try to support local businesses but I'd rather pay $8 at smoothie king for something that's actually drinkable. Also have been unimpressed with the customer service each time I've been there. Even for Miami, the people at the cafe / bar are rude and confused every time I've interacted with them. I would've gone back in and asked if I could make it myself if I had tasted the nasty concoction before driving away... Eww. Avoid this place! I had to throw the smoothie away. Ugh. Waste of $10.
